I receive the item and the box was in good condition. Upon opening the item there were 8 pieces. 4 walls, the top and 3 pieces that make up the floor. 3 of the 4 walls were split by screws that were inserted on the pre-fabricated panels. I took pieces and sent them to customer service. I believe this was done before being boxed up to ship. Although I was offered a discount for the damaged item I don't believe it would last as the floor did not attach but rested on the ledge of the sides. When my dog stepped into the dog house the first time 1 of the 3 pieces that make up the floor flipped up. It is nice looking but the wood is very cheap. I would not recommend buying.Unhappy Customer

I expected better of this outdoor doghouse, especially for the price. It is made of "fir wood" which isn't a hardwood at all. Pine would have been sturdier. Assembly was easy but the house itself flimsy, with several of the pre-fab section not even nailed or glued together, and some pieces with parts of the wood broken off. Even in the "giant" size it was barely large enough for a 90lb GSD. The feet were plastic and the floor slated wood were the elements can creep through. This house is advertised as ideal for outdoor use – but I wouldn't trust it during a New England winter. It was sent back immediately. I would NOT recommend this manufacturer for outdoor dog houses. For less money you could build a better one out of more durable wood.Razor

I just opened my Small size Precision Pet Extreme Log Cabin doghouse today to assemble. It looks like it will assemble pretty well, although one of the sides is 3/16" out of square. Because the panels are firmly glued and screwed together it will require some adjustment/trimming to assemble correctly instead of attempting to break the glue joints and true it up. Obviously a rush job by the factory in Wuhan. The roof shingles do appear to be very well sealed and bonded together, however there are a few spots on the edges of the composition shingles on the roof where bare wood can be seen at the edges, which would allow water to get into the roof frame, so those spots will have to be sealed. The three piece floor has 1/8" gaps between the slats, so if you want the animal occupying the box to be comfortable when it is cold and windy, you will have to do some modification to the floor, which I plan on doing. The statement that the box is waterproof and weather resistant is a stretch. The stain/preservative used on all of the wood surface is so thin that pouring any water at all on the wood surface disappears as the wood instantly absorbs it. I will not put the box in service until at least 2 coats of a high quality exterior grade paint/stain is applied. If you try and use this box without putting a proper preservative coat on it, you might get one year of use out of it before it rots or suffers UV damage and cracks and splits. This doghouse is being re-purposed by me to be a Barn Owl nest box; the dimensions are almost perfect and as soon as I saw it I realized that it could be used for quick installation during the brief annual window between December to January during which Barn Owls are NOT in their box. All I really have to do is put an insert into the door to reduce the opening size, add a perch/balcony outside the opening, fix the floor, and of course, properly seal the wood so that it will last more than one season. My primary reason for paying the extra money for the "EXTREME" model was the feature description that said: Its stainless steel hardware also adds to its sturdiness. THIS IS A LIE! THE HARDWARE SUPPLIED IS NOT STAINLESS STEEL, so this is my major gripe. My guess is that China figures that most Americans can't tell the difference between stainless and non-stainless steel. I'm a retired engineer, and you can almost always identify stainless/non-stainless steel by its color and appearance, although the surefire test is with a magnet. Regular steel will be strongly attracted by a magnet, if it is stainless steel, you might get a very slight attraction. This stuff is definitely normal steel with maybe a thin coat of zinc – not stainless steel. Very solid and sturdy doghouse for a large German Shepherd. She loves it! I did need someone else to help hold the pieces while I slid things into the proper channels, but it was very easy to put together. Just pay attention to where the floor screws onto the house. The directions did not seem as clear about where the tiny drilled holes actually were, and I tried to attach it through what turned out to be drain holes on the sides! Had to call the toll free number for assistance, and buy four new screws for the correct holes.Brenda

Thin soft plastic plastic, dogs can chew it easily. NO instructions included. Really hard to assemble , keeps falling apart. Nothing to hold it together, if the dog bumps the roof the whole thing falls apart unless you glue it together. If the insulation plug is pulled out by the dog the insulation spills out… it's that HORRIBLE tiny beads of styrofoam. Makes an incredible mess. I have built and bought and owned probably about 40 dog houses, I'm in the dog business. These are horrible. The flap door will just blow open in the wind and is a target for chewing by the dog.Smitty

I just bought and The wood is warped. Not all the holes are drilled for the screws. The floor does not sit level. It is not worth the money! I had to glue the top on because the screws were not correct and all the wood broke! By better quality!Donotbuy

My German shepherd loved this house. she fit inside perfectly and had extra room. however when i decided to move it the whole house fell apart. was very disappointed because it was cute and she loved it!!Amber

I just got this dog house and paid somebody to put it together. Only to find out that it is not extra large. I would consider it medium size. Won’t even fit my lab mix. The flooring and it is also raised and does not feel super sturdy. I would say this house in the size ‘extra large’ is for a 45 pounds and under dog. Will be returning. Very cute though.Aspensdogmom

We were looking for a dog house for our 75 lb German Shepherd & we wanted one he would continue to grow into. This fit the bill. Product arrived quickly and un damaged. Set up was painless and easy. Opening is big enough for him & plenty of room to plop down inside. In less than a year he did break one of the roof attachment rails. Working with New Age Pet wasn't a bad experience and the replacement parts arrived quickly enough. I wish the roof attachment rails were not plastic & were metal to withstand a bit more doggy & wind abuse. But other than that no complaints.CaptainCaveman78

I was looking for a dog house for my two dogs (one 50 lbs the other 60 lbs) to share. I am very happy with this dog house. It's not made out of flimsy wood like a lot of the other houses I looked at. The corrugated ecoflex material is very sturdy and this house is very simple to put together. Each piece is numbered and laying the pieces out in ascending order makes putting this house together a breeze. My dogs fit just fine inside the house and they'll be able to keep each other warm this winter. They are medium sized dogs so they're not very tall, if this house were to be purchased for a large breed the buyer MAY find this house to be too short. ex. A great dane would NOT be able to stand up and turn around in it. I've only had his house for a few weeks so I can not comment on the longevity of this product. The only downfall I've noticed so far is that it does get a little wet on the inside when it rains, I believe they make a plastic flap that can go over the door to help eliminate this problem, I just haven't looked into it yet. I bought this for winter protection for a colony of 8 feral cats that I care for. The house is sturdy and well made and a cinch to put together! It also looks nice! It shipped fast and arrived safely. We added a homemade clear vinyl "door" to block the wind come winter. The kitties are already loving it!Tanya

Sturdy, Functional wood. Instructions not clear so had to just use personal knowledge. Paint is matte like chalkboard paint, assumed it would have more of a sheen to it, but it still works so I overlook it. First week using it and so far it's been great. It definitely helps with having somewhere our pets can go that they can't get into things.Christy

I love how you get to write your doll's pet's name on the calk part, which makes it very realist compared to a real doghouse. The food and water bowl part is really cute and I love how it comes with a collar, in case you loose a collar for the pet. I love the balls and chew toys and most of all the dog bone, which is really cute and very realistic, once again.The rope toy is cute, too. I also like the bed a lot, though small, I love how colorful it is. I love the house itself, even though it's pretty small for all the things that the set comes with. From the time we opened this until bed time, my daughter didn’t stop playing with this. She even took it outside with her to play with. It was fun for her to use this with her dogs, and other little animal toys she had. Some pieces are on the smaller side so keep this in mind when buying for younger kids! This dog house is much larger than I thought and for the price totally worth it! OG has added some great thoughtful accessories to this dog house; including the newspaper. I like that you can open the one flap for easier play. This is very helpful for children with younger siblings that want to join in on the play. They can easily access the puppies being placed inside and enjoy the fun. Be careful with younger children as many of the puppy items are small and could be a choking hazard for the hand to mouth little ones. This house can go with any animal set from OG or AG and especially a dollhouse. Great job OG!FunWithAGDolls

Bought this for our 7 month old Pyrador puppy, who has already outgrown one house. It was easy to put together, and the sturdist dog house we've ever seen. Plus being insulated is perfect for a cold Indiana winter. She's huge and still growing and loves it. The first night she slept in front of it despite dog treats inside. Second night was cooler, she decided to check it out so the head and front paws went thru the swinging door first, and after she had stood that way for about 5 minutes, walked all the way in, and has loved it ever since. From the size if it unless she grows as much as Clifford the big red dog, she'll get to enjoy for a lifetime.PJ

My dog seems to love his new doghouse. It's very roomy and super easy to assemble. It's insulated too so hope it keeps him warm. We took the bottom half of the doggie door off to get use to going in and out of the doghouse. He did wonderful. I think when we put the bottom half back on it will be fine.LoriOe

We got this house for a new Boxador puppy so that it can spend most of its time outside. We found it to be a good product. It was easy to put together and does stay much warmer than the outside air. In rainy weather, it stays dry. It is a very large house which would work for a lab or other large dog. No problems with the dog using the door. Only suggestion: add nuts and bolts for the 6 screws. Screwing metal into plastic is not a real good plan. I'm assuming the company will have replacement parts (door, window, etc…) available for my investment!Y Robinson

I’m using this as s duck house for six ducks. Not hard to put together, you’ll need Phillips and pliers or wrench, instructions are not the best. Made of less dense version of pine. Roof is hinged and floor comes out in the parts for clean up. I like it.Redeyenc

Beautiful dog houses, but…. thin walled and are not insulated or double walled as noted in advertisement. I bought 3 ex large and one is already tore to pieces. Of note, the dog who's doghouse had a previous older wood doghouse and has lasted for 2 years, just to demonstrate that it is not solely due to dog. Very disappointed.cena222

The dog house (which is being used for a feral cat), arrived quickly and was pretty easy to assemble. It is sturdy enough for our uses, which included putting a smaller insulated cat container in one side of the house and food/water dishes near the entrance. Having the roof lift makes adjustments and cleaning easy. I'm not sure how well this would work for a larger, energetic dog, but it does for us.NDCat

I ordered a couple of these houses for my outdoor cats. They were easy to put together, but each house had a wood piece that was broke and I had to "gorilla glue" them together. Luckily the broken pieces of wood were in places that were not detrimental in keeping the house together. I thought about calling Hayneedle for replacements or something, but the houses have managed to stay together with the glued broken wood pieces, so I didn't bother.Cynthia

I purchased this dog house because its dimensions matched perfectly a concrete slab off of my back porch. I set it up about 3 weeks ago. Since then some of the vertical roof panels have buckled at the seems with the other vertical panels. It is exposed to sun from about noon & we had a light drizzle a few nights ago. I wonder if it will last through the winter as snow will accumulate on its roof & the wood is exceptionally light? My dog loves it, & like I said, it is a perfect fit off the back porch. I'm very happy with it, but fear the wood is too light to expect it to last maybe even through this winter. Sadly.Lucy

I bought the medium size house. It was very easy to put together, perfect size, puppy jumped right in and it looks great! I was really excited about it! The first night it was outside though it rained lightly and the next morning I discovered the roof had buckled up- very disappointing since it's an outside dog house so this should definitely not have happened! For this reason I don't recommend this particular dog house. But I do recommend Hayneedle! Their customer service is awesome, responds quickly and is very helpful!Danielle

Not a very good followup for the franchise, but still a serviceable game. That's the best way to put Fallout 4 in a short summary, and diving deep into its issues while in-game will just make you slowly lose your sanity. First of all, the story for the game is absurdly bad, at some points it can even feel like Borderlands writing without all the wacky humor. Then there's the dialogue system, it's really limited and makes you wish you were just playing even Fallout 3. Because atleast that game had dialogue choices. Afterwards, there's the game's balancing across the board. Some enemies are really weak, some are overly spongy, some are disappointing to fight, some are extremely annoying and repetitive, and to top it off, some weapons are completely and utterly useless compared to other weapons of the same type and in the same tier. Then it has some really bad design choices, like the fact you can't use Fist weapons while in power armor, ghouls spawning in scripted sections all over the game world, junk being overly heavy but requiring you to loot all of it (so you have to leave it all in some container as you explore and then return for it later), and so on. You can just keep going when it comes to bad things about Fallout 4. However, in the end, it's still a game you can actually play, the game performance is surprisingly amazing for a Bethesda game, it's not like Skyrim or other Bethesda games that chug your computer and crash easily. And this is why it's an absolute mod machine. If you've got the rig to handle Fallout 4 at 60 fps while at high graphics, then you totally should look into modding the game, because then you can fix (most of) the game's issues and make it more like what you could want. I'm already planning to make a heavily modded run with a custom race and major overhauls to re-experience the game in what's hopefully a much better style.Umbreon5

I truly could not stomach playing through the vanilla version of the game again as, despite the improved gunplay and changes to the exploration loop to make the smaller things worth picking up, the game falls short as an RPG and suffers from both terrible writing and dialogue. The VAs for both Nate & Nora didn't do a bad job by any means, but their inclusion limits my ability to project either my own or a made up voice for the type of character I want to play. Not only that, but it's somewhat hard to be bad in FO4? Both protagonists even when trying to be awful, have their behaviour shrugged off by the cast, deeming you as a "nice, but rough around the edges" sort of person, which is not what I want from an RPG. Many of the dialogue options also lead you down the same path regardless of what dialogue option you opt for. The main questline also truly bugs the hell out of me, I don't want a child nor the urgency of finding one and it's hard for me as a player to care about a character I have no attachment to due to such woefully limited time with them. Emotional responses made by Nata / Nora aren't relatable, even as a parent myself. I'm also not happy about the severe lack of weapons in this game, what's going on there? The series is known to have IRL weapon manufacturers based on previous entries in the franchise. I have the creeping suspicion that not only did Beth not want to pay out for weapon licenses, but couldn't be bothered to put the effort in and rename / slightly remodel like other titles do. BUT, and this is a very big BUT (cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny) the game has a great foundation for modding, and despite not truly being able to fix the absolutely travesty of an RPG that Fallout 4 is, only offering it a band-aid, you CAN drastically improve the gunplay, exploration and atmosphere to such an extent that it feels more STALKER like, whilst retaining features you know from the FO franchise. It's still fun to play due to the gunplay and exploration changes. If you plan to only play through it once, it's still a solid game. If you plan to play it more than once, then it isn't worth doing imho without some mods thrown into the mix. Oh, Far Harbour is also a great expansion. FO4 is also significantly better than FO76 despite it's updates over the years. I'd recommend this over that any day of the week, and I've clocked over 100 hours into the latter post-wastelanders.Jay

Fallout 4 is a masterpiece for the series. The story is intense, the game-play is fantastic, and the visuals are surreal. What's more is that I can promise you that you'll be hooked within the first 10 minutes (max) of booting up. I can't think of another game that pulls you in so quickly, and each minute of the game pulls you in more and more. It's just one of those games that will not let you go. One final note, really explore the hell out of the game. It is absolutely jam packed with stuff to explore, and none of it is filler. Everything is so masterfully put together that you'll enjoy every inch of it.ProfZeroo
