I have been purchasing Beneful for at least 4 years, if memory serves. After receiving some coupons in our newspaper, I decided to purchase Beneful to see if one of my older dogs would have less digestion problems. Logan loves every flavor that Beneful makes! He especially loves his veggies, barley, and rice. These items are very imprtant to Logan's health because they keep him regular. Like older adults, older dogs need dietary items that are good and good for them. Logan likes the Beneful dry also, but he does better on Beneful Wet foods. Our Vet says that even though Logan has been mistreated to the point that he has his digestion problems, Beneful is the best food for him and his 14 yr old system. He still likes his fresh salmon, wild rice, carrots and brussel sprouts he gets every other Sunday, but he's just as happy with his Beneful Chopped Beef and Chopped Salmon to name a couple. 🐕🐩🐶🍖🐾 I have a little pomeranian that is very picky! He's a much older dog who has cataracts and isn't very active. He was a rescue dog when I got him he already had all his ailments. I really like that this food is mostly soft even though it is considered dry dog food. I also like that you could see the vegetables in the food as well! Gus really seem to enjoy this food which was surprising given how picky he actually is! At a good price point and it it looks good! I was pretty impressed with this food. For background, I have a Chorkie that is allergic to everything edible AND on top of that she trusts to have high-end (read, finicky) taste. Because of this she is on a homemade diet, but she does have kibble as a midnight snack. Acana has been our go-to, but since they’ve changed their recipe to include sweet potato in the limited ingredient line, we’re now down to one flavor with them and I wanted to introduce a 2nd protein into the kibble rotation. When I brought the bag in the house, her nose was all over it, which is usually a good indication. She quickly finished her servings and looked for more. My Great Dane, Galaga, has been on Instinct Rawboost Large Breed Puppy formula since she was 4 months old and she is currently 8.5 months old. We had tried 2 other dog food brands before this one and all of the caused her tummy problems. Once we found Instinct and she didn't have tummy issues, we knew we were set for life. She have a very sensitive stomach and is allergic to beef, whitefish, and peanut butter, so the variety in proteins has been incredible! This past Sunday, I had to take Galaga into the emergency vet due to intense vomitting. Long story short, she got a bacterial infection in her stomach and instestines and is already feeling better. Her appetite took a huge hit and the vet put her on a chicken and rice diet. Normaly, any dog would be happy to have something new and luxurious like that, but Galaga only ever ate around the rice. Now she usually eats 6 cups of food a day and was barely eating 1 cup at this point. I was getting desperate and decided to put some Instinct Mixers in with the chicken and rice and sure enough, she only ate the chicken and the mixers. When giving her the medications she was on, I tried giving her turkey cold cuts, cheese slices, and pepperoni, but she wouldn't eat any of those. I decided to try using Instinct Raw grass-fed lamb to wrap around her pills and she gobbled it up! After only 3 days, Galaga is back up and running around like normal and has her personality back. They say that dogs know what's good for them, and Galaga agrees that Instinct is the best dog food out there. I am beyond grateful for the team behind this dog food. It is so difficult finding the perfect dog food for our beloved pups, and I am extremely confident that what I'm feeding my pup is healthy and delicious for her. I was looking for a low carb, higher fat and protein dog food for my fat dog, trying for a more ketogenic diet which we are on as humans and have lost a lot of pounds and inches. Unfortunately, this dog food is not working and causing him to gain weight. Also, if you know what Tender Vittles is in cat food, that is all this softer pieces of kibble are. There is maybe 12-15 pieces in 1 cup of dog food. Not sure what it is supposed to do. My dog wasn’t crazy about it but eventually ate it and gained weight over a period of 2 weeks. I complained to the company where I order my food from telling them that they sent me the wrong product. They sent me another bag and there's still no chicken pieces. I did not read Purina's own reviews, instead I concentrated on others. My poodle loved the Small Breed Petite Races Chicken and Rice, but beginning in around Feb 2022, she started to not love eating. We thought she was either ill or it was perhaps the rawhide bones or her new "trio" heartworm-flea-tick med. I recently read the Purina's own reviews and many say this food smells. I bought Purina dog chow little bites about a couple days ago and ever since I started feeding my dog that she has been sick in her feces ive noticed certain material in it that looked like oats but also shavings of hair I have never seen her this way and was wondering what it was finally I was Prepping her food for today and I noticed while mixing her food the purina brand had the same substances inside my dog feces aswell as the little hairs there was a bunch of little hairs inside the pebble and found this all through out the pebble. I purchased this dog food because my breeder recommended it, but after reading the ingredients label, I returned it. The first ingredient is rice which is a dog filler and considered bad. The second ingredient is chicken by-product meal which is a nice name for slaughterhouse waste which is all the organs that a human won't eat because they are disgusting. I recently got a Chinese Crested as the result of a need to rehome. He was usually fed puppy chow of some brand and the former owner was supposed to provide enough for me to phase him over to this brand after I’d researched and decided this would probably be best for him. However, she didn’t give me any and I was worried I’d have to try and find it to phase him out. Fortunately, he loved it and was eating it like he had been his whole life. I have 2 small Chihuahuas, which enjoyed this and I completely followed the transitioning instructions when starting this pet food. I had no issues with resistance to it, pleasant surprise as they are usually so snobby about their food. I appreciated that it's all very authentic and natural. No artificial colors or flavors, no additives or hormones, smell is definitely mild, I really dont smell anything to it at all and even better there is no greasy residue left in the bowl, which I notice with most all dry dog foods. The bag closes in simplistic but beneficial manner, sealing by means of Velcro Ziploc, keeping fresh for an extended period, awesome plus, however nothing attention grabbing with the bag decor and coloration. Just got my bag of Now Fresh Small Breed Puppy Food and was so excited to have the puppy, Simon, try it. He’s only 7.5 months old so still should be on puppy food. It’s hard to review puppy food. Simon is notoriously picky about his food, so this review should be taken with a grain of salt as it may be completely different for your puppy. I can only convey how he responded. (1) He actually ate NOW FRESH, so that’s a big plus to start with. The kibble size is tiny, so if you have a real toy dog or if your puppy is much younger, the size works well for that. The smell is pleasant. It’s not particularly meaty and appetizing, but it’s not off-putting at all like some dry dog foods tend to be. It’s a grain-free food, and that is my preference, but it has a lot of peas and pea products in it. (The latest villain in the dog food world appears to be peas; take it for what you will.) I have zero complaints about the ingredients personally and would gladly feed any of my dogs this level of food, providing they love it. (2) COMPARISON TEST: With dog foods, my main gauge is whether a dog likes it MORE than what they’re currently eating. I’m not going to compare a low-end food with a high-end or vice versa; that would be unfair and also a bit ludicrous in that someone who is feeding low-end dog food isn’t going to buy a $80 bag of food just because the dog likes it more, and someone feeding $80 food to their puppy isn’t going to switch to “Puppy Chow” without trying every other brand. Right now, my puppy is on Orijen Small Breed Dog Food. I went through Nutrisource, Merrick, Farmina, and The Honest Kitchen so far in his short life, looking for something he will “love.” Thus far, Orijen (small breed, specifically, as I haven’t tried other food from the line for him) is his favorite. RESULT: When given both bowls of food, the puppy opts for Orijen, hands down. I have a full-size yorkie, when we first got him we didn't know better and got him the typical dog food found at your local supermarket. I have a 3 yr old Maltese that is a super picky eater! I literally just bought this food today and he is eating it out of the bag! We’ll see how his bowels react but im just amazed at how tasty it is for him. We’ve tried the Rachael Ray food (never again), and blue diamond basics limited. He eats at his own pace but with those foods sometimes he would not eat for a whole day. He enjoys soft dog foods but soft food alone cause him to have runny/loose bowel which is no bueno. We switched to this after recently reading an article about certain dog foods being linked to canine heart disease…because unfortunately, her food we had also recently switched to was on that list. We were looking for something that wasn’t grain free (which is apparently most likely the what the link to heart disease is relating to) but that also had other safe ingredients and had good reviews from other owners about their dogs enjoying it. It has never sat right with me that she doesn’t actually like the food and only eats it to get full. I purchased a bag on the recommendation of a Petco Rep in store. I was having trouble finding Royal Canin due to their shortage. I bought a bag. My dog has the bad tendency to wolf down her food, even when using things like bowls with obstructions. Because of this, most standard dog food pellets are too big and become lodged in her esophagus when she eats too fast, making her sick. I changed my dogs to this initially because I wanted firmer mor compact bowel movements and less diarrhea with my elderly shepherd. The small bites work with my dogs which range from 20-110 lbs. My shepherd was barely able to pull himself up even with assistance. when buying dog food, I always look at the ingredient list. first item should always be the main ingredient as advertised on the bag. so for this instance, this should have chicken or beef as the first few ingredients. not corn. this will definitely be useful for treats and training commands, as they gobbled it right up! though I'd definitely recommend a different product for daily meals. in terms of likeability, they loved it. I view it as junk food. so, it's good for treats, not healthy for mealtime.

I have a 13lb bichon frise who typically eats other Purina Pro Plan food, but he’s a very picky eater and often goes on hunger strikes. I like the idea that it might promote calmness because he’s quite hyper. Seems like it’s marketed exactly to us because there’s even a bichon on the bag! The kibble size is perfect and it’s not too smelly (unlike the salmon pro plan we used to feed him). We mixed this in with his usual food, Purina Pro Plan small breed beef shredded blend. He was really excited and gobbled iton the first day, but subsequently has gone back to his usual picky eating patterns. When I held a piece of the beef and this one in each hand, he only ate the beef. So I don’t think this is his favorite flavor. I’m planning to keep using it especially if it might actually promote calmness, but I’ll probably keep combining it with his favorite beef food rather than switch completely.jennifer.b

We have a border collie mix but for some reason she can only eat little bites food. This is the perfect size. She also suffers some a lot of stomach issues. Last year I rescued an older dog from the city shelter, who was unfortunately, underweight for what he should weigh. I was very excited to nurse him back to health and put a little weight on him. I soon learned, however, that he is extremely picky, and didn't like most foods, even special "human food" like chicken breast. He doesn't like 99.9% of all dog treats either. I tried several brands of food, but he turned his nose at all of them. Thankfully, a dog rescue friend of mine mentioned the Earthborn Holistic brand of dog foods. They have high quality ingredients, no meat byproducts, no cheap fillers without nutritional value like corn, and this particular formula is grain free. My rescue dog is small, and I noticed after a while that he does not like dog food unless it comes in tiny pieces. Thankfully, this Earthborn Holistic formula comes in a "small breed" version, which means that the kibble pieces are very, very, small. To my delight, my rescue dog ate this food, and soon decided that he loved it. Instead of spending an hour trying to coax him to eat, or hand feeding him bits of human food, he will now readily eat his dog food. He has gained a few pounds of quality muscle, and looks so much healthier. I highly recommend Earthborn Holistic brand dog food. Check out their other formulas also.

We started our two month old female standard poodle on Eukanuba chicken puppy and had mixed success. The dog food she was on at the breeder seemed quite successful but the vet recommended Eukanuba. Dog has never relished the food but will eat it mixed with a few tablespoons of canned food. Any other treats added to diet will cause diarrhea. On the plus side, she has grown appropriately and is not over or under weight. I have had trouble buying new bags. Lack of supply from Eukanuba says food store. My 4 month old King Charles Spaniel doesn't touch this dry food without Royal Canin wet puppy food mixed in it. She used to run to the bowl and finish the food in seconds, after I switched the dry food to this one, she smells it and then walks away. When she does eat it with the wet food I've noticed she's starting scratching and itching like she has fleas or a skin condition although she has been given Bravecto and the vet said her skin is fine so it must be the food. Kibble was all over the inside of the box. Looks like the seams of the bag are held together by really weak glue and not tightly sealed. I won’t feed my dog compromised kibble. I ordered 3 – 15 lb bags of kibble the same day and just got to opening this shipment. Wanted to try out this brand. Contacted petco, but since it is over 30 days since purchasing, they could not replace the bag. Dog food is expensive. Petco couldn’t do anything. Had to throw the entire bag in the trash.No2Eukanuba

I have been using this brand of food for years with many dogs. It is alao the only food that my lab and sheltie can stomac (and I have tried over 30 different brands) but, my lab gobbles the large breed food because the kibble is so small. Even with a slow feeder bowl, he inhales it. I have tried even 1 piece at a time, nope doesn't chew. This is the only brand I have seen that has such small sized kibble for their large breed kibble. I am truly hoping that Nutro eventually makes their kibble size larger in the large breed lamb and rice as to help prevent bloat and clean teeth. This is the best dog food I’ve ever used. This morning, I opened the bag and gave it to him for the first time and he LOVED it! Easy transition and so happy.
