I love everything about this dog pen, except that one of the panels was missing the upper hinge. I did not want the hassle and wastefulness of returning the entire large and heavy item. I tried to see if I could just get a single replacement panel, but I don't know how to do that. I guess I will just keep it and only use 7 of the panels *Sigh* (If anyone can get a single panel replacement – please let me know!) If I could give zero stars I would. It has rusted so badly HUGE FLAKES fall off of it. Not only is it now unattractive I worry about the health of my dog. I have used this to host puppy playdates over 2 years. Cannot be happier with purchase. My front yard is not completely fenced; There was a need to fence off, but not permanently as we use front yard for other purposes. Fences are flexible, can be set up in any figures as needed. Once I figure out where to put fences, it takes 10 mins to set up, 10 mins to take down. I initially bought 2 sets, and neighbors and friends praised, and we had so many puppy visitors. That led me to buy 1 more set so the playpen could be bigger. Despite I have 3x sets, once taken down, they store nicely in small tight space on the side of house. Each set comes with 1 panel with a door. Since I have 3x sets, I have 3x panels with door. I set up door fences on three sides of yard for convenience. Summer days, we had playpen every evening. Throughout year, we hosted playpen for every possible occasions; puppy birthday, anniversary, holidays, new puppy debut… We initially worried that some dogs might jump out and run away, but that never happened. Dogs are capable, but wanted to stay inside for fun. We actually had dogs jump in. If you need to just hold puppies around 1 – 3 months, you could buy 1 set. But, if you are planning any meaningful puppy playdate, you will need minimum 2 sets, most likely 3or 4. The entire pen is secured with two included hooks and then can be configured to any shape necessary. This size should provide adequate space for small dogs to enjoy for quite play. The height of this particular size may be overkill for small dogs unless they are agile jumpers. I ordered this for my greyhound for leisurely sunning without needing a leash. I prefer them to crates as the dogs have more room to move around, yet they are easily configured to a smaller shape when potty training. They easier to clean than crates. They fold flat and I can store them next to a fridge or behind a furnace. They work indoors/out and are great mobile containment. For dogs living in fenceless areas (condos) ex-pens can be linked using carabiners/bolt snaps (i.e., dog leash clips) for fencing moveable for mowing/snow removal. They are great for patio surrounds. You can buy metal tops for if a dog needs more containment, but most won't if using a tall enough ex-pen. I've also bought just the metal or plastic crate pans to put under the ex-pen if needed. I've been trying to find something for my indoor rabbits instead of several cages so they have more room to run and play when there not out of there cage for free time and I've absolutely found the perfect cage! My rabbits are so much happier since I received this o had to do a little bit of adjusting due to the play pen being a little flimsy meaning easy to tip over but all I did was insert a few screws into the bottom screwing it to my floor and BOOM perfect! It's completely stable now and it gives my indoor rabbits so much room to run when there caged now I only use my cages when one has a litter or needs sperated from the others I recently had to add an old crib bumper pad to the bottom because I added the new litters of baby bunnies inside the play pen and found out they fit through the little squares lol once there a little bigger I can remove that even! I've seen alot of people are using these for large dogs and getting upset because they can climb out well of course they can I definitely don't recommend this for large dogs or small dogs because of the design they can crawl right up the lines in the play pen and escape but for me this is perfect for all of my rabbits and plenty room for how quickly they multiply which I wasn't aware of lol but surely am now!Dmosser172
I was so disappointed when I got this fence. I was really excited about it but when it actually came it was a let down. It’s nice and y’all and provides a decent amount of space for your furry friend but it’s not sturdy at all, when I say sturdy I don’t mean the pieces themselves. They’re made of a nice heavy plastic. It’s when they’re all together to be used, it’s super wobbly and can easily be knocked over if a dog jumped on it. I’m almost positive even my cats could easily knock it over, if put inside it.Amitch

Got it when it was 20 bucks cheaper. But it came early and was easy to set up. Reason for purchase is becuase I will be out of state for the summer and the person whom will be babysitting doesnt want her on the sofa and using the bathroom on the floor. So I needed a easy to access playpen so they can change pad and give food. I so happen to come across this one. Was supper easy to assemble. It bigget than I expected. I have to say I love love love this doggy pen. My lil Roxyroo had puppies. Since my dog is only 9lbs, this was the perfect size for her and the puppies. Strong construction, easy to put together. The door works well when Roxy wanted out of the pen, without having to lift her out. The puppies were able to roll around, without getting out. This 4 panel pet playpen is wonderful. This is a perfect size to put your small dog or puppy for exercise and poop runs. I have a mini pug puppy and needed a safe place to put her so she can run around and learn to poop for now on the pads. She's too small for outside. I love it. This is a good product, simple to assemble and works as advertised for our 5 pound terrier. Went for the large so there is room for a bed and a wee mat. Product is bulky to ship and came damaged and missing the connectors to hold it together. I solved the problem with cable ties until the vendor shipped me the connectors. They responded well to the issue and shipped me the missing bits. It doesn't have a lid and I didn't want one, but we do put 2 large beach towels over it at night to make it quieter and darker. I ordered this pet pen because I desperately needed something for my puppy to keep her safe while I’m busy doing things at home. I loved how it looked online. Spacious and modern & loved that it was metal bars and not plastic. BUT, once it arrived, the package was damaged. Once I opened it, I noticed all the hardware to put it together was missing. We bought this pen for our rabbit and it arrived in a box torn in multiple places and the pieces were sticking out. It also did not come with any instructions or dowel-type things to insert in the corners so it falls over with a light touch. It also has a scratch on the side and a bent rod. We can’t return it as the box arrived ruined and it is far too heavy to carry to a store. We are probably just gonna find something to fill the corners but it is saddening that this cost almost 300$. I have bought innumerable similar wire-panel pens over the years from Petco and other sellers, but I have never seen one made of such small-gauge wire. Once you or your dog pushes even a bit against a panel, it warps too easily. Then the gate is hard to line up to close. Also, better quality products have a long rod that can be removed to rearrange the panels and change the location of the gated piece. Not these, there is not even a metal clasp between panels like in the product pictures, just interlocked end loops of the panel wire that can't be undone or changed.35Brian56

Wish it came in a larger diameter, but I think the 38 will work for now. The puppy will only be about 4 pounds when I get her but will grow to be 8-10 pounds, so the pen should give her enough room to play until she is trained. I also like that it has a zippered top that can be taken off while inside or zipped on if outside because she is small enough to become prey to hawk, owls, or coyotes. Also like the pockets, the tote bag, and the fact that it is so light weight.
I purchased the play pen for my 10 week old chihuahua. I am pleased that it gives him plenty of space for a bed, a potty pad, a wooden table for food and water, and still plenty of space for him to play with toys. I am using the play pen when I need to be gone for any amount of time. I also purchased a crate at our local store for him to use at night. He seems to like being in the play pen. I know my cat appreciates having the house to herself when he is in it. The two are still working on sharing a home and myself. They are doing well considering it has only been 10 days. I feel that any breed that is bigger then a toy/miniature would be better in a bigger,sturdier enclosure. I think that this would also work for cats/kittens while house training. I am looking forward to fall and being able to move it back and forth from inside and outside. It will provide a safe place so he is able to enjoy spending time outdoors and getting fresh air. I bought the pink one for my 3 month old American cocker spaniel and it was definitely not a good choice. It's cute and the color is nice but it's too easy for the sides to cave in and if your dog or cat is super crazy, they can actually move this around the floor like a hamster ball. This is probably fine for small, inactive puppies, dogs, kittens or cats. It's spacious enough for a sedentary furry friend. My hyperactive little terror sunk her teeth into the mesh sides and started pulling it apart. She also figured out how to unzip it. I would not recommend it.kejean12

I love everything about this dog pen, except that one of the panels was missing the upper hinge. I did not want the hassle and wastefulness of returning the entire large and heavy item. I tried to see if I could just get a single replacement panel, but I don't know how to do that. I guess I will just keep it and only use 7 of the panels *Sigh* (If anyone can get a single panel replacement – please let me know!) The raised gate is perfect for not rubbing on the floor and scratching it up. the panels are not too heavy I could construct the pen easily. I have used this to host puppy playdates over 2 years. Cannot be happier with purchase. My front yard is not completely fenced; There was a need to fence off, but not permanently as we use front yard for other purposes. Fences are flexible, can be set up in any figures as needed. Once I figure out where to put fences, it takes 10 mins to set up, 10 mins to take down. I initially bought 2 sets, and neighbors and friends praised, and we had so many puppy visitors. That led me to buy 1 more set so the playpen could be bigger. Despite I have 3x sets, once taken down, they store nicely in small tight space on the side of house. Each set comes with 1 panel with a door. Since I have 3x sets, I have 3x panels with door. I set up door fences on three sides of yard for convenience. Summer days, we had playpen every evening. Throughout year, we hosted playpen for every possible occasions; puppy birthday, anniversary, holidays, new puppy debut… We initially worried that some dogs might jump out and run away, but that never happened. Dogs are capable, but wanted to stay inside for fun. We actually had dogs jump in. If you need to just hold puppies around 1 – 3 months, you could buy 1 set. But, if you are planning any meaningful puppy playdate, you will need minimum 2 sets, most likely 3or 4. I bought this because I’m staying with my sister temporarily and have 2 dogs. I used to live in an apartment with wood floors and apparently, my dogs don’t like carpet. I work from home so I rarely leave the house but the dogs (both under 12lbs) started ripping at the carpet. This kennel is extra large and wonderful to hold their bed and then room for training pads. The tray on the bottom is metal and very sturdy. We are loving this as an option. The Cons….Metal tray is not as large as the crate—so we have some wetting outside the tray. ( boy dog) The handles —-one was broken off when arrived. It is not welded very well. We just put duck tape as a handle and use it that way. Overall this is a great crate. Just have to make a few minor adjustments. The biggest being the tray is not as large as the crate.Sand
Seemed like a really good solution for my lab mix whose afraid of storms but in her 1st night I didn’t get any sleep when I laid down. The lifting of the cage walls( they are not secured to the bottom in any way at all and sit around the cage bottom that is about an inch in space on all sides from the cage bars). A stand up, and a simple push was all it too for her to get free the 1st time. 2nd attempt, I secured here cage in the corner of a room with my stationary exercise bike pinning it in a corner. Bloody mouth, paws and less than 10 minutes later 8 had to let her out. She bent the bars inward as they aren’t as strong as they look. Heavy duty is an understatement. Could not return it since it’s technically used, but this was the 1st day I used it. Total waste of my money. My dog is NOT a wild puppy either, as she is 12 yrs old, only 65lbs and not aggressive at all.Nikki

I really wished that it had a door, but other than that it serves its purpose! I used it as a sort of gate for the driveway to keep my dog from going out when we were in the front yard. Used the clips to latch onto the existing gate and wedged the other side in-between the fence (like a sliding door(?) and it held up well. Easy to fold and move around. It is very flimsy. If my puppy jumped on it while it was set up in the house, she would be able to push it around the living room. She might even hurt herself by jumping on something that would not support her weight. The door is not sturdy and would not even open all the way. I do like that there is not a bar across the top of the door frame that I would have to go under each time I went in there to clean up. I returned this product and kept the sturdier one.Ashley
DO NOT BUY THIS. I would rate this a 0. After using for a month, Today my (about 15 weeks old) golden retrievers PAW got wedged and stuck between the bars and I literally felt like superwoman and had to pry it open. I honestly dont know how I did this. Luckily I was home to save him or else it couldve been the worst outcome. I have the security video I pulled from the cameras, I will be sending in the horrific video to the company. PLEASE DONT BUY THIS.Michaela
