My labrador loves these. The outside covers are washable. I have hung the covers to dry and they dry fast since microfiber does. I have also hosed down the foam. That takes longer to dry in the shade since most foams don't like direct sunlight. But it works. Eventually she digs a hole in the cover so I flip the foam inside and used the bottom on the top. I got this for our 9yo GSD who has until now always just considered a folded blanket his "bed". He wouldn't lay on anything the slightest bit pillowy or fluffy. I did have to coax him onto it the first time, but right away after that he started going and laying down there on his own, even when we were in another room (he usually just wants to hang with us). This water resistant liner is a must have!! I was washing my 130lb Great Dane's bed cover almost weekly but also would put the memory foam mattress on porch to air out because it would start to smell like sweaty dog. Since putting this liner on, no more sweaty smell. Biggest plus is how easy it was to put on and how much easier it is to put the bed cover on over the mattress. These beds are great quality. I have 2 springer spaniels that used to eat there beds. They also like to go out swimming in the ponds and come in soaking wet. Their current beds are 2 years old and when they get dirty I hose them off and they look great. No chew holes, but after 2 years i thought they needed some backups when they come in all sloppy. Loved the idea of purchasing duvet cover for for a dog bed with so many possibilities for stuffing. I had a king size memory foam mattress cover I cut up to correct size and my pooch has a nice thick comfy bed now. Would suggest purchases liner that goes underneath duvet cover if using foam so cover slips on easier. Only thing I suggest is making the zipper longer so it’s easier slipping over thick foam.

I was able to fill it after parting with things I wasn't originally intending too. The bed is just not comfortable, however. I can't imagine unless you have all plush clothes and pillows to fill it with that it would ever be truly comfortable. The dogs haven't slept on it in a week. While the quality of the product itself is good, there are 2 issues that would keep me from purchasing this product. 1. Maybe not a deal breaker for some, but the bolsters (headrest) on the backside made my dog dislike the product. My dog likes to be back close to the back of the couch and this pushes her away and closer to the edge. 2. The main issue I have is the cost spent for a glorified blanket. While it may be nice to have couch anchors and nice material, we have found that our pets love to just have a nice blanket to lay on. Works just as well. Can use any color. This bed is poorly designed. There is a rubber noodle attached to elastic to hold the bed in place on your chair of couch, unfortunately, the elastic is extremely long. Because of this the bed hangs down to the floor and the couch or chair is not protected and there is no where for the dog to get up on it without falling off. Bad design. If you do not use the straps, once the dog jumps up on the couch, it will slide off with the dog and all on the floorGigi1957
The couch cover was missing the pieces that clip in to the back and hold it in place on the couch; without these pieces it's about as stable as a towel placed on the couch (e.g., not stable at all). I requested a return, printed the return label and returned it to a UPS store within two days of receiving the item from Target's third-party vendor. I purchased the giant size bed with head ready for my English Mastiff in 2016 as he was getting up there in age and had stiff joints. After he passed our Great Dane took over the bed. He crossed the rainbow bridge last year and now our dobermans are using it. I just recently purchased a new cover for it. The bed itself is in great shape but the old cover had a 2 inch tear in it from our rough playing dobie. I can’t tell you how many times it’s been washed over the years but it is actually still usable after I mended it. So now I have a back up. I also purchased the water proof liner. I don’t think it was available at the time I originally purchased the bed. They fit perfectly! This bed is well worth the price! If I ever need another I will definitely purchase from them again. But this bed may outlast me.
I’ve purchased seemingly high-end beds in the past but none of them compare to the comfort, convenience, and functionality of Big Barker. After a year, they still look great and haven’t begun to flatten at all. Nice and streamlined in our home as opposed to rumpled, bulky, round beds. They’re durable too. I often throw our Big Barker into the crew cab of our truck when we go mountain biking and hiking. Our dogs love a comfortable bed after these long activities. Although the beds get filthy afterwards, they clean up perfectly when throwing them in the wash and look brand new. Unlike other beds, it’s super easy to zip the cover on and off. I have within 6 months have purchased two beds. I have never been happier . Both of my dogs have hip problems. I have had many beds over time None could ever compare to the Big Barker. I have bought 3 Covers & 1 waterproof When I wash them I have a new one to put on. Waterproof cover protects the bed from spills and accidents..
