My dog has terrible anxiety and when it storms, she shakes and pants heavily and just paces everywhere. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I was pretty skeptical at first, you see a lot of things out there to trey for a dog that has server general anxiety. But I thought I'd give it ago what's 10 bucks right. Well the first day I got them I gave one to my 8 month old rescue Aussie and she immediately took it from me (great flavor, she's a picky treat taker) but within an hour I noticed she started to look calmer and wasn't quite so on edge. The bag reccomends one per day but with rehabilitation therapy with her I do one every 3 hrs or so and it seems to do the trick there's no side effects no drowsy or melancholy you get with other products just a general sence of calm you can watch happen . For less intense cases probably a couple a day will work to get a New companion accustomed to a new place or situation. I highly recommend this product to anyone struggling with anxiety in dogs . You can't beat the quality and price . But be sure to give it an hour before the event or situation for best results. I've had my girl on it a couple weeks now drastic improvements things I never thought she would get to experience, baby steps but these go hand in hand with good trainingsupergoose92

Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. We have been giving this to our rescued 9 year-old, 13 lb. cat since March of this year. I got this product for my little shorkie who hates the car. She's only 2 months old and we're trying to get her used to go in places. But she shakes, pants, wines and won't be still. I gave her the recommended amount of drops about 10 minutes before we left the house. We drove over 45 minutes away and we were at my brother's for about 3 hours and we came home. So I have a little 6 lb Pomeranian that has mild separation anxiety. I gave her half of a pill everyday before I left for work. They weren't exactly miracle pills, but they did help calm her down a little bit, hence the two star rating. However, after about two weeks, I noticed that her fur began to fall out. I checked the pills and their reviews but found nothing about fur loss being a side effect, so I just assumed it was something else. After another week she had no undercoat and I was about to take her to the vet but decided to try not giving her the pills first. She stopped losing fur and now, 3 months later, her coat has come back. So in summary, they did help calm my mildly stressed dog and I will probably use them on occasion, such as during a stressful vacation, but consistent use caused her fur to fall out.ajaxbt

I took it from my cats. One especially has an issue with the eyes. The orange tabby has a wet eye when he eats. He is very picky so I try to hide the powder in his wet food. Let me say that this helped him a lot especially when given every day. I know that L lysine is very good for viruses. like Herpes virus and EBV. It’s very sad to share that we lost our dear Cat due to kidney stone / kidney failure just a few days ago. I love the product – your packaging – AGAIN – is HORRIBLE. I ordered two of these and one arrived opened and about ten left in the the bottom of the container. The other container was in tack! So one container completely distroyed. Other items in the box were broken open: The box of Cat Food – 30 box count. Totally broken apart and all the cans were all about the box. And many dented! The shipping box itself had obviously been broken and arrived in super bad condition and a lot extra tape. The box was a mess and was part of the delay in its delivery! I have complained about your packaging practices many times before…. Seldom with any evidence that some one cares. Boxes still come beat up, destroyed, contents thrown about and dented. AND way too heavy! I will be 80 next week! Those are heavy boxes for me (or anyone!!)…..I have to take the box apart a the gate and bring items into the house. I am so thrilled with the results of this product. I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed that the formula is the same as their cat joint relief product; the dosage and texture is just different between the two. So I buy this for my 2 cats and 1 dog to avoid having to buy two different products that are essentially the same thing. I crumble 1 treat into my senior cats' wet food each day and give 2 daily to my young dog for preventative purposes. Before starting on these, both of my cats had showed some natural decline in mobility, and one of them had torn his ACL tear when attempting a high jump. After just a few days of these treats, both cats showed greater mobility, and the one with the ACL injury was jumping again after a little over a week. After several weeks, he's moving like the young, athletic cat he used to be. Most importantly, nobody seems to be in any discomfort anymore. … I will just say, though, that this new advanced formula with collagen is much stiffer/denser than the regular formula without collagen, so crumbling the treats can be a little bit of a pain. I have a brave little mini doxie that would take on the meanest badger, but hates storms or loud bangs of any kind. Our vet suggested this because my dog is very anxious, and will lick until he's made a hot spot. My kitten was stress licking, and breaking her hair, but not causing skin redness like the dog. Our elderly mini Schnauzer has become more anxious as she's aged. She reacts to smart phone alerts, loud people, quick movements, etc. Over the past 5 years, I've tried several CBD products and a prescribed medication from the vet. None of the CBD products had a noticeable effect and the vet medication made her act like a drunk who was angry at finding herself drunk. Then . . . a month before July 4, I see an ad for VetriScience. My first thought was "why bother", but the price wasn't overly high so I bought a bag. Our Isabel was much calmer and less reactive to noises that usually irritate. Plus she snarfs those bacon flavors nuggets up when offered. It's not perfect. We rescued our third Dobie and she’s very anxious. We’re trying not to put her on prescription medications, if possible, so we decided by recommendation from other club members to try this first. I’ve definitely noticed it works to an extent a period of time. It’s progress, so I’m happy. I just want to make sure that she’s happy and not too anxious whenever it thunders or we have to leave her alone, but that is rare. I would recommend trying this for your dogs if they’re having these issues too. It’s easily available, but I ordered it on Amazon so I received it quickly and got points for my purchase. My dog simba was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. Then he lived in a rescue for a while. New stimulus can make him super anxious. I was hoping this would be the product to make exposure to these stimuli less frightening.I was so excited to receive my first bag, I ripped it open and went directly to Simba. The excitement stopped there. First off, my dog didn't want to eat the treats as a treat. He refused to eat it alone. I had to hide it in his food. After eating it he became super lethargic with no other symptoms that I had noticed at the time. So thinking the treat was working too well, the next day I halved the recommended dosing for his weight. Later that day I noticed hives and a large nasty rash that spans over his entire back. My baby has never had issues with allergic reactions but something in this product triggered it. This was the only new addition to his routine and environment. It's been a few days since the discontinuation of the product in conjunction with antihistamines and antibiotics and his skin hasn't fully recovered nor his energy. He's better but not fully back to normal. Thankfully he's fine but I obviously won't be continuing use of the treats.Sarah

I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. My little critter Killer has a liver issue, which was critical since he was young. Taking the supplement has reduced the issue.
