I wish I could tell you why, but, this bone has been through five dogs (my personal dog, and four service dogs in training I fostered) over the last four years, and not a single one of them has liked this bone. I’m not sure if it’s the flavor, or what. But it was not the cheapest Nylabone, either, so it’s a bit disappointing that none of them had any interest in it. I always thought maybe the next dog would like it, and they don’t. It has a bit of chewing done on it, but not nearly as much as the other ones. I think it may be hard for them to get into a good position to chew on it, since it’s a circle? While Chuckit have produced the most durable toys we have found for our 3 year old Kelpie, unfortunately this one lasted about 20 minutes. In 'Fetch Ring's' defence, our little lady pretty much destroys most of her toys within a very short space of time. It would be great for dogs that like to fetch, play and wrestle, but probably not for prolonged vigorous chewers.Mike
Chuckit has always produced great products, and this is just another good one. Has stood the test of time with my two staffies (over a week now – WOW!) and still going strong. With daily fetch, chasey and tug-o-war between them, still looks like new. Only wish it was slightly bigger in size, not only to make it easier for me to slip my hand through when playing tug, but for when they play together – it seems when one dog has it in their mouth it can easily turn up around their snout making it harder for the other dog to grab their end without some nipping of the first dogs face. I bought the small toppls and my two cavaliers love them. I've used it at dinner time with soft foods and some chopped up pieces of prime100 and it kept them busy for a good 7-ish minutes (which is much longer than the few seconds it usually takes them to practically inhale their food). I love that it can be used with kibble as well as a treat dispenser (although you need to buy two different sized ones to do this). Overall very impressed, but I would recommend waiting until they're on sale to buy.smp
These are amazing. We're in the process of diagnosing some GI issues with our 8 month puppy, and she's on a very limited diet and can't have any treats, chews or bones. It's a terrible age to not be able to give anything but prescription food. She can't be trusted with soft toys or rope toys, and has no interest in kongs or other rubber things. These are perfect for keeping her busy. We pack her kibble and some wet food in them and freeze them. They take her a good 30 minutes or more to finish, and she has yet to damage one. I bought this on a whim because I saw it in the clearance bin while I was there for treats, it looked fun and it was cheap, and it turned out to be my 1 year old golden retirever's favorite non-ball toy of all time. I bought this because it was recommended for gas and bloating, sensitive stomach, and chicken allergies. First, the smell is incredibly off putting. It makes the pantry and kitchen smell horrible-makes my nose and throat burn and can’t imagine how the dog feels smelling it. My dog does not care for the smell. He would come within a foot or two, sniff, rub his nose and bark. I finally got him to try it by having our other dog eat a few pieces. He picked it up and spit it out for about 5 mins before he actually ate a piece. The transition is bit rough for his stomach as well. His stomach and intestines rumble like crazy and his stool is soft and yellow and smells horrible. Yes, I am slowly adding the Wellness, so I don’t think it is new food shock. I’ll keep with it and see what happens, but honestly at this point I’m very dissatisfied with the $70 this cost. At this point, I would not recommend this food to anyone.Mommio24

This ring was the best investment! My pup goes through most chew toys in minutes as she LOVES to chew. This ring lasted a little over 7 months before she got to the red “safety” layer. I sent it in for the guarantee (paid shipping both ways, around $15) and got a brand new one! My pup has been chomping the new one for almost 2 months and it’s going strong. HIGHLY recommend for pups that love to chew! I want to mention that it is fairly large and heavy (my pup loves to swing it around and it has a somewhat frightening loud drop – but you get used to it). It also smells rubbery (because it’s a really high quality rubber) and now my pup thinks things like erasers are her toys. This is is fantastic. Ignore the size, our 50lb pup has had these constantly since we first got him at 10 weeks. This holds up to heavy chewing. Slides across the floor like a hockey puck for fetch. And we’ve discovered a tennis ball fits perfectly inside, for an added challenge and more games. We have had no less than 7 of these — they get lost under the couch pretty easily, and pup insists he has one available until we fish them all out. 2-3 have eventually cracked, but lasted a good couple months.Zuma2020

We’ve had this for about two weeks and it’s gotten daily abuse from our two dogs, 45lbs and 55lbs. The rope parts are holding up well, but the fabric has torn some where they use it for tug of war. The fabric hasn’t ripped all the way through, just where they bite and twist it, and the toy is still 100% functional. I usually throw it for our retriever, and our mutt starts a tug of war game when she’s bringing it back. They both love this thing.Danielle W.

We have had several Playology toys – the ball, 2 types of bones, and now this ring. Our Aussie is a pretty aggressive chewer and the toys we have purchased have lasted and he still enjoys all of them. The peanut butter scent was kind of nasty smelling at first to us, but the chicken and beef have been fine. I have not used the rope or pebble so not sure about those for durability. I highly recommend the other Playology toys and will buy again.Carolyn J

This is actually our second Treat Tower. Muffin has had one since she was a puppy. She really doesn't like eating dry food, but when I put it in her tower she will usually play and eat. She will even try to get the top off, so I don't let her have it unsupervised.The plastic eventually started cracking, from wear and tear or just age (3 yrs.) Once a week, my dogs get their kibble dinner in a treat tower. They have lots of fun getting it all out. I have to put them in different rooms though because they finish at different times. The nice thing is it won't roll under furniture and get stuck like a treat ball. The other nights, their dinner is in a variety of slow-feed bowls. I had to see it to believe it. My 8 mos old Aussie has destroyed every toy, plastic, bone we've given him and in a matter of 1-2 days. So far this Tuffy Mega Ring has held up for a week now. He's only been able to make a few shreds around the outer stitch. He has not penetrated the main fluffy pillow part. I'm even able to play tug'o'war with him with it. Very durable indeed!Rubbertoe

This product avertises that it is strong for a Tiger. However, it is not strong enough for my Bear (a german shepherd). He tears it open in about a day and starts ripping the stuffing right out of it. I suppose he is trying to get to the squeakers inside. It turns into a unstuff cloth ring that he likes to play with until its rips so much that can't anymore. He loves this toy,so I am going to buy Mega Ring #4 for him. TRY OMITTING THE SQUEAKERS.RLaw

This toy is great for a medium sized dog or any size puppy. A mix of firm and soft and cloth textures will give any dog a good variety of places to chew. Great for helping to keep teeth clean and also for diverting attention for those chronic shoe chewers. The strings on the end help make this a tug toy for human/ dog play or dog/dog activity. The squeaker in-bedded in the rubber gives off an encouraging sound to keep curious dogs interested. I bought this as Christmas gift for my 6 year old, 21 pound, mixed breed dog. She absolutely loves the squeeky center ball, and we have spent many hours of fetch with it. The ropes were another story. Baily is a chewer, and she had one rope chewed OFF the within our first hour of play. We eventually cut the ropes off for safety reasons.
