Electronic Shock Dog Collar For Sale (2024 Update)

I have an adopted fur-baby that had a lot of control and behavior issues. Training, the usual way was just not working. I tried this and, within one day, the disruptive behavior (running and tearing up things in the house, jumping from one piece of furniture to another, non-stop barking) all stopped. He began with sitting, immediately after only two "vibrations" of the collar. By the end of the week, all I had to do was take out the remote control, say the words of sit, stay, no and wait, and he did so. Now, I don't have to use the remote at all but just say the words. I will tell you that, under no circumstances would I recommend the "shock" feature. Because it is easily changed on this model, by accident, I found out, the hard way just how much it hurts the animal. If you click MODE, by accident, from it being on vibrate, it switches over to Shock. BE VERY CAREFUL when you are about to use the Y button, for sound or vibration as, if it's on shock–and this was the very low setting–the dog whelps loudly and jumps, shakes, etc. I would not recommend it for any animal lover as, I don't even want to know what it feels like. Because the vibration is strong, even on low settings, and the other setting of "beep" is a high frequency sound, I found them the most effective. Thebeep sound is for Guiness (my new family member) to come–I use the vibration for correction, when needed. Guiness was the most difficult dog that I have worked with and I have behavioral training for dogs, which I have used for all of my pets. If this worked on him, it will work on most dogs that have behavioral issues. I would recommend it for the vibration and sound settings–and hope to get one that doesn't have the shock setting as, I feel that is just inhumane to use on a dog (my opinion after seeing how he reacted, on just a low setting). PLEASE USE CAREFULLY until you are used to the remote. That is my only advice when purchasing this for training.kelly4jesus

I am, so far, very happy with the design of the collar and remote handset. I especially like that you can do either vibrate OR static corrections with this set, AND can adjust the level of stimulation, immediately, for each. My only complaint is that the slide on clip is NOT useful. It does not grab either a collar, belt, or pocket, to any real degree. It slips off easily and drops to the ground, to be either lost or damaged. It would be better to design a stronger spring clip or clamp that is stronger. Because it continues to fall from where it is clipped, I am forced to hold it in my hand continually. Giving the dog a visual cue that I have control handy. It is more useful for the dog no not be able to connect such an association. Putting it in my pocket results in a possible inadvertent correction to the dog unnecessarily. Although I like many aspects of this product, and being a professional dog trainer, it would be nice to be able to recommend an affordable, good quality product. But because of the handset clip, I hesitate to do so. If this design was addressed, I would recommend it.dpcclm

My dog used to jump on anyone that came over and she was hard headed about listening. Been using for about a month now and have only shocked her once (on level 2) and now she listen with or with out wearing collar. We still put it on her every day and especially if company is coming over, but she knows when she hears the beep she's gone to far in pushing her luck. Most of time beep gets back in line and if not vibrate does. Can't beleave we waited so long to get one. Now friends and family can come over again and we don't worry about her jumping up on our guest particularly little kids. We put it on her in the morning and take it off before bed time and turn collar off at night and battery will last almost 2 weeks on collar before charging (wonted to see how long battery would last between charges) , Generally now we charge it once a week over night and haven't had it die yet while she's been wearing it. Can't say how water proof it is at this point haven't allowed her in the water with it yet. Only complaint is as others have stated it's easy to change channels on transmitter if your not paying attention. But have gotten used to looking at transmitter before pushing button. Besides If your going from Beep to vibrate your gonna wanna see what you have it set to before you use transmitter again, so I don't find it that big of a deal.jnmpatterson4

I have a pup that is a large breed, he looks like I been feeding him steak and potatoes cause he's so dang big. He is ALL puppy though. Chews on everything loves running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Been trying to train him to chill with me, yeah, right. He wants to play. And because he wants to play, he wants to run every stinkin where. Decided, for my sanity as well as his safety, I'd get this thing. Put the flags out, set it on a low static charge, and it didn't take long before he figured it out. You DO have to WORK a dog with this. It's not just a plug it up and watch their hair shoot up when they get popped. Walked him around the perimeter for 7 days, he sees and sniffs the flags. After that, I let him run around, and he got popped maybe 3 times, and figured it out. Now he's pretty dang happy, and I can let him rip around with zoomies while I work in the yard. I have a 2 yr old LARGE French Mastiff that weighs 180ish! I bought with the (red in color) “stubborn” collar. We previously installed a wired underground fence. (Which I have to mention took 2 FULL DAYS TO INSTALL AND READY TO USE!!) My Bo would realize he was close to the boundary, take a step or two back then take a run right through it, with no second thought!!! We watched him do this several times. I guess he was thinking, well this is going to hurt but only for a few short seconds. Idk?? But it did NOT phase him one bit! I had talked to 4 or 5 people that had this system, so reluctantly I decided to give it a try. I thought to myself well if it doesn’t work I will simply return it, no harm no foul. My boyfriend had it installed and collar on Bo in 30 mins flat. We walked ole hard-headed Bo around maybe 4 times to show him the boundaries. Once he heard the beeping, he kept walking then he felt the shock 1 time and that must have been enough because he never ventured close again! It has been about 2 months of use and I would give it 100 STARS IF IT WAS AN OPTION! We live in a subdivision where houses are fairly close. I was ultimately worried that the zone would lead into the neighboring yard. (which was the #1 thing we are trying to prevent) And although it may, Bo doesn’t even attempt to go that far. I believe he now understands to stay in his own yard! Living in a subdivision, many people take walks and Bo just sits and watches them now!! Matter of fact, just to see, we have sent him outside WITHOUT the collar and ironically enough HE STAYS IN OUR YARD!! The ONLY complaint I have is the small clear piece on the collar broke off the first time I went to adjust the strength of the shock. So far it hasn’t effected anything so fingers crossed on that! Just an FYI, we set ours on a level 3 to begin with and my boyfriend was ready to give up, so I told him to have some patience and we just kept adjusting the level on the collar and we ended up discovering for Bo he needed to be set on a #6. Again, I repeat he weighs 180 lbs, and the Mastiff bread is KNOWN for their stubbornness. I would suggest starting at the lowest level for a smaller dog PLEASE! Product initially worked well. Combination of tone, vibration, and shock works well for training. My golden retriever responded well. Unfortunately the second time I went to charge the collar, the connection between the collar and the charger would not make contact. I chatted with cabelas and asked if they could send me a new charger dongle and they said I wanted that option I would need to work directly with Garmin. They gave me the option to return by mail, but I didn't want to be without the collar for that long. Instead I drove to the store to exchange it but they did not have the model available in the store. I returned it at the store and ordered a replacement on line. I bought this collar about a year ago, and it is still just as effective and powerful today. This has all of the capabilities I need for training and enjoying my time with my dog. With the multi-collar functionality, it’s also great for people who own multiple dogs as you would just need a new collar and program it to a different color code switch. My dog can go swimming, get dirty, muddy, get hosed off, and the collar still works like a charm. I am extremely impressed. We bought this a couple months ago! Best investment we ever made! Our dog doesn't like the neighbours dog and would bark like crazy every time he was out in the yard. put the ecollar on him and only had to use the shock button a couple times and it stopped the bad behaviour in its tracks! Love it! The only thing I noticed was the collar became unpaired from the remote after we took him to the lake to swim. I love this trainer! My Shepherd responds to the sound and vibration immediately. She was a little confused at first although just after a few repeats to correct behavior she got it. I haven't needed the shock and really don't want to use it as I don't want to hurt her thus the reason for buying this particular collar. I highly recommend it as a training device. I got this just for the vibe and beep function. I don't even put in the shock nubs, I use it for slight corrections before they commit to something they shouldn't. The unit itself is a bit large for dogs under 30lbs, I use it on a 33 lb corgi and a 70 lb lab mix. Both seem to handle the weight of the unit just fine. They shake a bit because of the size but not too much, the remote and collar recharge with a split cable, they seem to recharge well and battery life for just vibrate and beep function is long lasting. I have only recharged it once in a month. Only problem I have with the unit so far is the inability to tell if the unit is on or not, there is no indication on the remote if the collar is on or not and the led light of the collar does not light to show status, most times I need to beep the remote to tell if the collar is on or not. Other than that it serves it's purpose well with good range tested to 200 ft I can't say what the battery life would be with shock enabled but I would say well worth the $25.fowl_langauge

this product has worked miracles for me, i rescued a senior dog with some very bad habits, very lovable but obedience is something she never learned. suspect puppy mill dog? long time trainer it was making me crazy, never used a training collar, but she has rushed out onto the road several times now. one shock at 1/4 power and shes a changed dog! all i need do now is touch tone or vibrate and i get instant heel instead of cringing she will be killed. i am impressed! i would suggest a better "collar" tho, its quite flimsy.ladyjez_63

I have always been apprehensive of shock collars, but my dog was back-tracking on her training. She has always behaved very well on a leash, just to forget that training when the leash comes off. In only 2 weeks of use, this collar has worked like a charm! I have only had to shock once- the vibration and beep modes are enough to correct her. I had a waterproof beeper before. I learned quickly after drowning it. It is not submersible. Now. I know the difference. And this one is a keeper. I love its freedom. I love to walk around the neighborhood pond with our dog, Louise. She loves to play fetch, Especially in the pond. When others walk by she wants to greet them enthusiastically. I had borrowed the same collar from my daughter for about a month, but she needed it back, so for the past two months he had begun to get a little independent in the woods. As soon as I put the new Arc collar around his neck, he was a changed dog. Even without paging him, he began to hunt about 75 yards out and would return to check on me every few minutes. Whenever he gets out of sight, and seems to wander too long, I simply "page" him about three seconds and he comes running. Only twice in the past week have I had to stimulate him, somewhere between level 6 and 11. Then for a day or two after that, only the pager button is needed to turn him around. I live in an older building and the walls are very thin! All dogs bark but I didn't want howling or nuisance barking disturbing everyone. I tried other spray collars but I would come home to a wet dog. He quickly figured this one out and learned not to bark excessively. It steps up the stimulation as the barking continues. I was so excited to try this on my dog because there’s nothing else I’ve done has worked. I loved the range of size the collar goes. I also loved that the button is on the inside so the dog would not be able to accidentally turn it off(no it doesnt zap your hand)lol. The first 24 hours I thought it was working because she only barked once or twice and that was unusual for her. But every day since she has gone back to her normal crazy barking self. I was so impressed with how long and how well this works. It controls my Gsd and CO dogs. The battery life is amazing on the collars! Mine are used daily and they are still charged a month later. The shock has a good range with a huge difference. From light shock to a heavy shock. The same for Vibration.The tone is amazing , each level is a different sound. My dogs have their own tone for individual correction. The collars are colored and I marked on the unit adogs color, b dogs color and same for c dog.. I couldnt be happier with a more expensive unit than this one. I tried the aeterek Garmin 3 dog shock collar(same priced name brand) and was disappointed as the settings were all the same as were the tone and vibrate. Also the maximum level of shock was not strong enough for my dogs.the price on this 3 dog system is very competitive. You must select the function first before you send a command to the collar. The instructions are overly complex and confusing due to poor product design. This is the second training collar I purchased since August. I bought an Oxford and that didn't last. I liked some of the Oxford features over this EasyPet Collar. This collar system is better made and I expect will last longer. While I like the multiple levels of each of the sound, vibration, and shock getting to the setting in a hurry doesn't happen. I have two pit bull mixes. The sound, any level, works for one of the dogs, but not the other. I have moved to the vibration correction for him. This works well as does the shock. He returns to me with both of these. I do suggest putting a sensor on the remote as when the dog is returning after being corrected and cannot see the trainer (as he was deep in the woods) perhaps a sound on the remote would aid the dog's quicker return. I'm suggesting this as he came out of the woods at a different point than where I was. My second suggestion is making the recharging plug on the collar easier to insert. The plug seems flimsy and is hard to secure on it. Since it is so important for the plug to be in to maintain the waterproof feature it should be easier to put in. I do like this product better than the Oxford I purchased so far.MaryP

I decided I wanted a dog a couple of months ago and I ended up with 2 rescued German Shepard Dogs , before getting the dogs I did hours and hours of reading about dogs and especially GSD. The female is about 3 years old and from what Paul the owner of the rescue kennel told me she came from a really bad human home and she definitely had some issues . The male is about 2 years old and the previous owners just couldn't keep him any longer and he had issues just not as bad . Right after I received the dogs they both went to the vet for spay , neuter and shots etc . The vet who was also a dog behaviorist flat told me that I would have to be on top of the female all the time or I was going to have problems . After a couple of incidents / bad habits over the first few weeks of having 2 new members in the family I was really considering taking the dogs back to the kennel , the stress level was way to high , but I kept telling myself I wasn't going to let these dogs down and I told myself I would never use a training collar , I was wrong about the collar and I decided to purchase one ….the BEST thing I have done with these dogs , and the dogs are more than glad to let me put these collars on . The Dogtra SuperX2 has been great , the collars and receiver stay charged a good 8 hours and are very sturdy , the dogs will play and and chew on each other for hours and no problems with collars at all . The price I believe is very fair for the high quality product I received . I highly recommend the Dogtra Collar it has literally saved this relationship between dog and human . I love these 2 mutts and they love me thank you Dogtra . PS If you have a rescue kennel in your town drop off a donation or maybe a sack of dog food it would sure help them out . I felt absolutely horrible even thinking about getting this collar at first, but it’s been an amazing training tool with our shelter pittie. She was chewing literally every single thing but her toys and getting into the trash can, as well as peeing all over the house despite us taking her outside frequently to potty. Kennel training and praising/treats helped some, but it just wasn’t enough and a trainer recommended a collar like this. I haven’t had to use the shock and don’t think I ever will need to use it. Just a quick beep or a vibrate on the lowest setting is enough to get her attention. I’ve seen so much improvement in a short time with this collar, and feel that soon we will be able to completely ditch the collar as she is learning and catching on to the rules very quickly. I like the bright red and black colors and it was really easy to put it together. The battery lasts much longer than I expected, which may also be due to the fact that we only use the collar as a last resort to get her attention. I think it is a great training tool when used properly and I am very happy I put aside all my negative feelings towards it to give it a try.James

This collar is affordable and very effective. I have a large mountain cur who barks at night and annoys the neighbors. My only option was to put him up for adoption or somehow stop him from barking since he’s too big to keep inside. This collar stopped his barking very effectively. I only had to use the mild shock feature once. Now, if he barks, I hit the vibrate button and he immediately gets the message. Great range and battery life as well. I have been using training collars for years. I originally bought one from a sports store for more than $100.00. While it worked great for a few years, it was only one collar. I now needed another one so I did some checking around and then started reading the reviews on each of them. This one had great reviews and Shipping was ultra fast.I have been using it for 2 days now and it works great, I don’t have to leave my house as it travels a good distance as my dogs are in a kennel outside. I have used the collar several times and it does the job for me. The distance indicated on the receiver can be off as much as forty yards at times but the closer I move to my dog the more accurate the distance.Pointer0919

It is not user friendly. The icons for the dog and your location are too small and the contrast on the screen makes it hard to see the little icons in sunny conditions. The collar that came in the box is not bright green as it shows on the box. It is a medium green, harder to see on the dog than the bright green I thought I was getting. Bought this product online and picked up at store. The spool of wire inside the box unwound and a mess. Plus the wire was all intertwined making it impossible to untangle. All other contents were fine though. Probably should have returned it to the store!BK13822

Uncoil and check wire before installing. Quality control problem – after digging and installing most of the wire, the last 20 or 30 feet at the end of the coil had breaks in the protective coating every few inches. As we needed the broken wire to finish the loop, every break had to be repaired with electrical tape adding a couple extra hours to finish the install – frustrating. was required.Dive

i was advised by a police dog trainer to purchase these training collars i have two new puppies a beagle and a dalmation ( both breeds known for there selective hearing) they work perfectly they are acting like well behaved adult dogs already after a weeks use the range is as it says and i have yet to use the shocker as the vibration mode works so well if you are thinking of buying these i would highly recommend that you doscotcheggbobbi

I have hunted 6 times now with the device. Has only lost contact one time in very deep brush for about 10 seconds. Otherwise this has been spot on. Already saved my dog once when he was caught on a branch from his vest. Well worth the price. Battery life actually seems better than reported. I’ve only had to charge it one time for six different hunts. Each lasting about 3 to 4 hours. Hopefully it lasts for years and years!Ryan7
