The harness does work and was small enough for my puppy. It was inexpensive, so I didn’t feel like I was wasting a ton of money on a harness she would grow out of quickly. I didn’t like the over all design, there’s nothing that easily identifies the front from the back. The straps get twisted very easily. The straps the D rings are on get turned around and makes buckling the harness tricky. When you are trying to strap it on a very wiggly puppy, the straps getting twisted or the D rings getting flipped around are major inconveniences. If you are going to use it for a short time while your puppy is very small, I say go for it. Just make sure you mark the front from the back for easy reference. If you are buying it for a full grown dog, I’d say spend a little more and buy one that is easier to get on.2MsMommy

This is the best harness I have ever gotten for my Fifi. Little back story about my baby, she's a little overweight due to thyroid problems and has non malignant fatty lumps on her body. Because of this, it is hard to find a harness that 1 fits her, 2 is comfortable for her and 3 does not hurt or rub against her fatty lumps. Because her normal size does not fit her I ordered her the harness in size Large. As you can tell she fits perfectly in the harness and the harness does not constrict her chest and/or fatty lumps (one lump can be seen in the last picture). the quality is out of this world. I wanted this item because I have a 100+ lbs big boy, but unfortunately it didn't fit him! It's my fault, it comes with a measurement chart and I really should have looked at that. Thankfully I have smaller dogs to try it out with, it fit my 70+ lbs girls perfectly! This item is just really well made: heavy duty material, clean stiches, and metal clasps instead of plastic. Will be returning. Our Yorkie mix weighs 10 lbs and measured 14 inches around her chest. Based on the size chart, we ordered her a size Small. We paid extra for shipping. When it got here, it looked tiny. I adjusted the straps and tried putting it on our pup but it’s too small! It barely went over her head and wouldn’t close even at the largest adjusted strap point. I like this harness! I have a mini aussie and he is a chewer. Sometimes with these he will somehow find his way to nibble around the edges of the harness and tear through it. I support a 501c3 small dog rescue by purchasing harnesses, toys, and beds. These dogs, from the shelter, have often never had something new to call their own. Recently an 8 week old Shih Tzu puppy was rescued from the shelter [yes, purebreds are dumped]. A tiny little girl, nearly all black. I bought this in a medium a week ago and I've used it around 2-3 times already. I have a maltipoo and she has a tendency to pull and try to go faster/farther and it would cause her to choke in her previous harness. However, not a single time since I've started using this has she choked/gagged. The sizing is a bit off for her though, since a small is too tight but a medium is too loose (but the medium isn't loose enough for it to be unsafe/falling). This harness is true to its name and is so helpful for dogs that try pulling and end up choking. It's also super softer than her old one. I also bought a small for my yorkie and I think she loves it! Normally she hates harnesses but this one she doesn't seem to mind! I feel like it makes her more comfortable when she's walking as her previous ones weren't the most softest like this. This is my third Gooby harness. Small size worked well when she was a puppy. She outgrew the Small we got her a medium and there was a small sign of tearing on this harness when we upgraded her to large. We got her the large pink and the fabric tore in half. The black fabric on the edge was the only thing keeping it together. Our dog weighs 18lbs but she’s built like a tank. If you have a dog that pulls I wouldn’t recommend this harness. I have a 6 lb puppy, 3 months old. I have been trying various harnesses. This seem to be the best as far as a step in harness. It seems my pup has a short neck so the over the head harness comes to close to his chin and he is able to get his mouth around the top. This harness is a step in harness easier to get on. However, since it is an XS it could have been a little narrower around the paw holes. It seems to come right up to the shoulder joint. Also the "D" hooks for the leash do not lay flat if you are at the tightest fit. Because of that, I remove the harness while indoors, especially when playing with other pups. It could get caught on furniture or hurt the other pup.lashepa5

Nice halter for my 3 pound Morkie, the leash hookup lanyards are a bit heavy for this lightweight situation and is not very attractive to leave on him during the entire day. I support a 501c3 small dog rescue by purchasing harnesses, toys, and beds. These dogs, from the shelter, have often never had something new to call their own. Recently an 8 week old Shih Tzu puppy was rescued from the shelter [yes, purebreds are dumped]. A tiny little girl, nearly all black. I bought the pink harness, which not only is adorable on her, but fits very well. True, she'll outgrow it in the next few months, but she's off to a good start now. This kind of step in harness is the safest design, in my opinion. I've washed these on delicate in the washing machine and drip dried. Come out beautifully. [Be sure to Velcro together and snap shut so that the Velcro doesn't snag anything.] Love the bright cheery colors. This particular harness is made for young, small pups. Great product and great customer service.
I have a 3 pound Yorkie-poo and this harness fits him great! We have purchased about 8 harnesses size extra small but they were all too big! Finally a harness that fits! Yay! The only negative is that it doesn't go far enough back on his back (it's centered on his shoulders) to make it safe for car use.

Because I live in the suburbs, my dog is permitted to run free in the backyard. He has, however, incredibly deep black fur AND vanishes swiftly at night. I tried putting a light-up collar on him, but because he is a medium dog with a low head, the light-up collar was not visible from most angles. This harness has solved the problem. The light not only wraps around his entire body, but it is so brilliant that I can see a glow on the ground or anything surrounding him. For example, if he hides behind a shrub or tree, I can still tell where he is by the illumination on the ground. A driver would definitely see him standing near the road. To miss him, the driver would have to be sleeping. I really appreciate how the light's on/off switch is placed. It is simple for me to go to. The button on previous light-up collars was under the collar, which was an issue for me. This meant that if my dog ran too rapidly, the collar would bounce across his neck and switch off. Not at all helpful. This harness never has that problem. The button is on his back, and I must push and hold it for about 3 seconds to turn it off. This implies that if he accidentally pressed the button against a hanging tree branch or anything, the light would merely change color rather than turn off totally. When you switch it back on, it also remembers the color you previously picked, so you don't have to cycle through all of the possibilities to get to your favorite color every time you use it. Finally, based on my experience with this product, the harness appears solid and durable, and the straps and cushioned portions all feel soft and tight – more comfortable for such a little dog. The clip buckles do not appear to be as weak as some I've seen because they appear to be constructed of metal rather than plastic. The straps are difficult to adjust, therefore they will not release as easily as others I have used. I would highly recommend for purchase.Ziggy

Once I received this harness I used it for about a week before leaving this review and I must say my dog has never enjoyed harnesses but she didn't seem to fuss with this one and she has in the past. I think the reason for that is it's very comfortable it's very light and I love to support that goes across the back and it handles the dog very well. Now I will remember for future reference to get the next size up next time I buy because I do think it's a little tight on her but that is my problem for picking the wrong size. Another thing I wanted to mention in this review is it is super simple to get this on my dog! And that is super relieving because it can be exhausting fighting with these beaches to get their harness to fit. Correctly. This harness fit our five pound Yorkshire Terrier Poodle mix dog perfectly. We prefer this of harness as opposed to the standard collars that gove over the neck…Took a little more time to adjust and get on our dog due to the amount of locks Wish this one had less locks and snaps. My little dog is only 5 lbs so I figured I needed to get the XSmall. I was wrong, I should have gotten the small. I had it let it out as much as it would go but it was still a bit small for Lulu. It looks really well made and it seems pretty stout. If it had fit I think I would have liked it. LOL, Lulu not so much.Debby
