I am truly thankful for the person who designed this product. Our little 5 week old stray that showed up at our home did so with a dislocated paw and a huge pressure sore where she had been walking on the side of her leg. I've bought these a few times for my little doggie! He is a 7-year old Chi mix that weighs about 24 pounds. We give him one a day as a treat. I purchased because he has torn his doggie ACL in the past. It had proven some, very moderate effect on my doggy's joint issues. I cannot recommend it for that reason, but it doesn't make it a bad product. In fact, he found it tasty enough not to spit, which is impossible with Strand syrup he was prescribed, and it didn't affect his stool–again unlike Strand. What really helped him was a gelatinous-rich diet, if you wonder, but the smell is horrendous and it definitely made him fart like crazy. Our female boxer, size Lg was unable to use the harness as her vulva was totally covered by the webbing that adds support to the harness. I spoke with company, no other option in size was offered. This is a high quality harness, I was sad we couldn’t use it. Harness kept sliding off the back of my dog; after 2 failed attempts I am going to return this item. The leg circumference was measured as required at 11-12 inches, but it still slips off my dog as the bridle/harness part is too small due to the girth size around the lower section of my dog (Puggle) he has a belly @40lbs. There were no recommendations for dogs that have larger girth size/lower mid section that advised to order larger size. Also he is not only thicker in his back section, but short in rear length as well, so in that situation bridle/harness is too long for him to comfortably expel his stool without it getting caught in the harness – really bad fit all around. One size does not fit all 🙁 even with leg girth measurements – need hip circumference and torso length as well. After being unable to go out due to dragging, bleeding back paws bought some boots then the swaying about crossed leg and bouncing like a kangaroo was so bad we decided to go for it! My dog decided to backup several times on her walk today. The walker wheels forced her backwards until she had almost fallen over and the rear frame hit the ground. Her back leg was cut in a couple of places because the rear frame pressed against her legs when she fell backwards and put all her weight on the frame. When I tried to remove the brackets on the back of the walker, the screws were so tight and the Phillips head screws were partly stripped from whoever installed them. Had to use an impact driver which was barely able to remove the screws so the brackets wouldn't cut her legs if she falls backwards again. Either that or one of the side frames would have had to be replaced. There is no reason such small screws should ever be so over tightened. Fortunately, I was able to remove the dangerous brackets. We need a foam rubber tube over the back of the frame to reduce leg injuries on the sharp frame edges or else a brace added to prevent the walker from tipping backwards. There is no way a dog can get up when the walker tips backwards. She might have broken a leg because of this design flaw. I ended up adjusting the wheels backwards more but who knows if that will prevent her from falling backwards. It might just make the situation worse if she tips over on the back frame again. This is a nice product with a few frustrating issues. The push pin they use is the first item. I love the fact they made parts adjustable. It is terrible though that the push pin design is so flimsy and it turns inside the tube 95% of the time you are trying to make an adjustment. Not easy on the dog you are trying to adjust to or your back. Having to pull the whole thing apart to adjust the pin back in place is irritating. Next, the straps in the back (to secure up the belly at the legs) didn't seem the same quality as the harness. The straps in the back are thinner and already have snags. This happened day 2. Overall I'm glad I bought it, but I struggle to believe it is worth the price.Georgia

My little girl recently started showing signs of hip issues and I was concerned enough to research options that are non surgical to see if it would help. I did worry because they are both very picky and have sensitive tummies. She absolutely loves these. I have 2 senior cockapoos. One has IVDD (disc disease in his back) and the other has suffered with joint pain on and off in her paws, pretty much her whole life. Since taking this supplement, both dogs have shown improvement. The one with the joint problems in her paws has not limped at all since we started these a few years ago. Prior to this, she used to limp on one or the other front paw at least once a month. My newf has had problems with her back legs for over a year now. On a Facebook group for Newfoundland dog owners someone suggested green lipped muscles as a supplement. Also ancient grains. Upon doing research I came across zesty paws. The products that this company offers has helped my newf, she is still stiff upon getting up but the limp is gone. My dogs are getting old and I've been giving them lots of different supplements alongside with their food, up to a point when they started being hesitant in eating their normal food. Our 4 year old lab tore his acl and vet recommended 3 weeks of basic crating with pain medications. Tried it for 2 weeks and saw no improvement. Our beautiful boy Gio has terminal Cancer but is responding well to his palliative Chemo treatment. At the same time, he completely tore his hind left leg ACL. Due to his age and his cancer, he is not a candidate for surgery. Because he is still feeling good, I wanted to find something to help support his leg. While he is NOT going to be running any marathons, you can tell HE feels more stable and comfortable, and he hasn't messed with it at all. I bought the product the see if it would help my 12 1/2 year old Australian. She is on rimdyl and Adequan for ACL and arthritis. In one knee. Both have been helpful; however she is favors the leg and puts limited weight on it. When i put on the brace she took a little while, then starting putting weight on it and walking better. At her age I am not looking for permanent solution , just quality of life. This product has definitely helped, and she is getting around better.. Great product and customer service.Kathy
My female pitbull has a partial ACL tear and while this brace isn’t technically for ACL issues, it’s been a great support for her. We opted not to do surgery, so we limit walks to no more than 5 mins and use the brace when we do. At first she tried to bite at it but we used treats to get her to walk with it on and after just a few minutes, she was fine with it. Now she allows us to put it on and will leave it on until we take it off. I actually think she likes it!! My Sheltie, who has severe arthritis in his front pws, is starting to experience hind end weakness. He is toeing in and wobbly. My Doberman Pinscher "Harry" had broken his front right "pinky toe" bone rough housing. My vet Took care of him with a specially made splint and wrap. They suggested I get this splint which would eliminate all the gauze wrap etc. He wore it for three days and started walking normally. Well after about the fifth day, Harry would have it on just going out for walks. By weeks end, it's back in it's original packaging and mailing envelope. Probably won't need it again but just in case, keep it in his medical box. Nice product. The extra padding I purchased, I used a little bit to make a slot for his carpel to slide down into. This is so the carpel didn't get squashed between his leg and the splint. He seems to be doing fine now, back to chasing squirrels in the trails.Alden
The product is very well made and easy to put on. It does not work for my dog because he has no feeling in his leg. I bought it to use as a splint for his foot contracture. He cannot walk with this on because it is too cumbersome for his leg. I use it on him as a resting splint when he is laying down and resting.Nancy H.
