She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. I’m hoping I was just unlucky as this was an amazing idea for a product that I loved when it did work, I’m just sad I spent so so much money for it to not work on me twice. This sucker can fling a tennis ball! It’s easy to use and you don’t have to use Hyper Pet tennis balls. It can be a bit hard to pull back the launcher, but you don’t have to pull it back the entire way to get some great distance. I know I sure as heck can’t throw a ball as far as this thing launches. I own a Pet Sitting business…One of my favorite Furbabies got raise for Christmas. Apollo is a Golden Doodle and LOVES for me to throw the ball for him! He would wear me out after an hour, but would still continue to bring the ball back to me. THIS K-9 KANNON is now MY favorite thing! It is so much easier and goes much further than I can throw it. Found a lot of positives online and decided to purchase one. Walmart was roughly $1.00 cheaper, but they also had ship to store for free. We have a Walmart store but not a BBB store locally. I purchased this ball launcher after struggling with tennis elbow. The launcher is well made but is heavy as its made of steel. I personally found it too heavy to carry on a walk to the park around it and back home again. I was also a little disappointed with the ball launch itself as the balls wouldn't go as far as my ball flinger unless i stretched the elastic along way, which was hard to do time and time again. My wife was unable to hold it and pull it back due to the weight and strength of the elastic.davebersted

This is the perfect toy for any dog that loves to play fetch. The dog can even play by themselves. Once the ball is placed in the launcher it activates and shoots the ball out. (it automatically shuts off if not in use) Simply place it on the ground near you or where the dog can reach it. My dog caught on extremely quickly on how to return the ball to play again. There are 3 different distances you can set the launcher to 10ft, 20ft, and 30ft. (which is pretty accurate) if using the balls that come with the machine. (includes 3balls) The balls are the perfect size for my Yorkie measuring at aprox 2 inches wide. I found that it will also shoot any ball the same size, such as foam, or squeaky balls, but the distance differs. The machine can run via power cable that is included, or via 6 C batteries. The battery option is amazing for going to the park, and surprisingly lasts for hours. The only issues I have found is once the balls start to get dirty/wet they do not shoot out as well or as far. Also make sure the dog stays clear of the device and is not looking down the launcher to avoid injury. It would also be nice if it had an option to change it to manual. So you could load multiple in and shoot them out to be used for multiple dogs. The hard part for me is training my puppy to use it. At first, my dog was afraid of the motor sound, it makes a bit of a whirring noise but after two days he got used to the sound. I started with training in increments; getting used to the sound, bring the ball back to me (next to the launcher), dropping the ball into my hands, and dropping the ball in himself (currently working on it). He does not yet feed the ball himself but I think he will learn over time. Something that I do not like about this product is the fuzzy balls. the balls become fuzzy after a few uses and within a few dozen throws. This makes my dog focus more on chewing and removing the fuzzy areas. I am going to look for some that size that are not covered in fuzzy stuff. Another issue that I have with this product is how to clean the inside after all the slobber is pushed past the gears.YM01
