This medication has been prescribed to my pet until the end of his life. He has some urinary issues alone with some other problems. The same size bottle at our vet was nearly $50 and with KV Supply it is $17. Needless to say we have been customers of KV Supply for a few months now. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. You can continue every other day for another 2 weeks.Cricketoes

I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Im not a vet but am thinking whatever it was it was some type of fungal infection. Benefits of product; it wasnt expensive, was easy to apply, and has a light pleasant scent.Debbie

I am so thankful to have found this today! My poor dog could not stop scratching and licking under his front legs, and they were raw and bleeding. He was whimpering but would not stop. I came home and sprayed the areas with this, and he didn’t freak out like I thought so I know it didn’t hurt! He became calm and only tried to lick a few times before he relaxed and rested. My dog sleeps with his mouth open like he has 3 jobs, but because of this additive to his water, his morning breath hasn't been too bad. I like how this is an easy alternative to brushing your pups teeth. Super easy process, pour it into their water bowl and go. My pups didn’t really notice a difference in their water. I rarely give products 5 stars but this definitely deserves it! I have been using this on my does teeth on and off for a few months now, lately because of the results I noticed I am trying to be more consistent. I either just rub the gel on my teeth with my finger or when I have more time I brush his teeth which has been giving the best results with the gel. I bought wisps and took out the beads and use them as little toothbrush’s, they work amazing, since my dog has such a small mouth (Chihuahua). Where I noticed the major results was his back teeth, they were really starting to build up with a lot of plaque, very dark yellow. They are almost white right now!!! I really love this little spray for my dog’s not-so-fresh breath. She’s a little dachshund and they, like most little dogs, are known for having a terrible bacteria level in their saliva. Maybe this works for other cats, but my cat – who doesn't have a picky palette at all, for the record – sniffed this and completely avoided it. I tried exposing him to it over the course of a week or so, putting a little dab on his favorite treats just to see if he'd go for that. He did, very begrudgingly. Today, I tricked him a little and got him to actually lick a dab of it, and he seemed absolutely disgusted and put off… Honestly it was sort of funny. I’ve never seen my dog have a physical reaction to anything like he did to the smell of this toothpaste. It’s like he was offended that I even offered it to him. The smell is kind of off putting. I’ve smelled better pet tooth paste that was more appealing to pets. However, my cat is willing to let me brush his teeth with some bribery. I’ve used my finger like it says for first time brushers, (it came with a tooth brush and finger cap) and noticed i could feel some of the plague coming off his teeth as I was brushing. He doesn’t drool as much anymore either so this is really helping. The finger cap it came with is a bit big for a cats mouth so id prefer my finger over it. We have a 6 pound 12 year old Chihuahua who recently had a reaction to a newer and larger "chew-able" heartworm preventative that contained an added ingredient. It's like she was in a daze, staring, trembling and walking in "slow motion"…very scary! After discussing it with the vet, and reading the possible side effects of the new medication (which included neurological symptoms), we decided to return to this Interceptor medication, which she's taken for years with no problem (it's also a much smaller pill, only about 5mm, and easy to slip into a piece of banana or apple… since she refuses to take pills without disguising them). Unfortunately, our vet was out of them and informed us that this specific pill has been discontinued and suggested we check online. So I purchased two of these 6 dose boxes from Valley Vet Supply, enough to last me an entire year (we live in a warm climate that has mosquitoes all year round). And I was thrilled to get a MUCH better price here online. The ordering went smoothly. They just contacted our vet for the prescription and we received the product in about three days! My vet recommended Interceptor as I was convinced my sweet Greyhound became ill every month when I gave her Heart Guard. She would have an upset stomach and diarrhea for days after receiving it. My vet explained I wasn't crazy, some dogs were indeed allergic to the main ingredient in Heart Guard but still need protected from heart worms so suggested Interceptor as it did not possess the ingredient making my dog ill. He was right! Six months now on Interceptor and she happily takes it burried in a piece of cheese (it is a hard chew instead of a soft chew like Heart Guard), and remains ill/symptom free. This is GREAT for my dog. It was prescribed, over other heart worm meds, because she has a slight detection of heart murmur. We've been using this product her whole life and are happy with it. I usually wrap the flavored tab in a soft treat or piece of meat, or even just stick it in peanut butter on another treat and she'll eat it right up. Only a few times, she's taken it completely by itself. It's a small-flat-like hard texture, so not something she's used to. We're happy with interceptor.Justine F

Unfortunately this gave my dog really bad diarrhea and discomfort. I wasn't sure if this was what caused the diarrhea initially so I took her off this for a couple days and added it back into her water after she recovered, she proceeded to have diarrhea again the next day. I read before I bought this product, that some dogs don\'t like the water after you add this. So at first, my dog drank the water but then she stopped. She would come up, smell it and walk away. After a while, I switched to fresh water, without this product, and she drank so much so she was definitely thirsty but unwilling to drink. I can say that after using this for 2 days, her breath did smell good! So the product works! I haven't done such a good job on brushing their teeth. The starting point is to find a quality toothpaste for my dogs. If you want to jeopardize your dog having seizures and kidney failure then use this product. Our 15 year old Dachshund drank this for a month and starting having seizures, muscle weakness, not eating, and the beginning stages of kidney failure. Our dog has suffered from stinky breath forever even though she gets her regular vet cleanings, and we were using another tooth treatment. She’s a beagle / shitzu / pug mix, so she is already genetically doomed in the tooth area anyway, so I’ve always been concerned with her dental health and worried about it leading to other health issues. When I saw this, I was skeptical she wouldn’t notice it in her water. With that beagle nose, she sniffs out even the best tricks I try to pull, but she hasn’t noticed it yet, and the vet recently commented on how amazing we are doing with her teeth. I told her it is simply a matter of adding a cap full of the solution to her water every morning (I keep it by the sink since the bottle is small enough and doesn’t stick out, so I don’t forget.) and trust it is doing its thing. So I have some reservations about this product. If you search other reviews across the internet, you get insane reports about this potentially causing seizures /epileptic episodes, wasting away, eye problems, all kinds of crazy stuff. However, it also does have a fair amount of people preaching that it's legit. The potential side effects are SEVERE, and it doesn't seem like the brand has done much to mitigate those cases or fears?? Knowing all that, I chose to use this for my cat with extreme caution. He gets stinky breath from whenever he eats fish based products (extreme common for cats) but the reason why I'm willing to take any of those risks is because it honestly reminds me of Accutane. I've never had to use Accutane myself, but I know that 1) It's a last resort 2) It is practically guaranteed to work 3) Side effects range from IBS to infertility /severe birth defects. So… my cat's halitosis isn't that severe to illicit the full dose. I use roughly half to a third of the recommended amount in his water fountain (which I highly recommend getting if you don't have one). So at a very low dose, his bad breath has indeed been kept at bay and I monitor his status very closely. This product works, I just strongly recommend using the lowest effective dose (just like with any human medication) and if your pet's breath is so dang stanky you feel like they need the full dose, I highly recommend exhausting all your other options first / supplementing with proper hand toothbrushing / diet changes. I'm hoping this product will do all it says it will. It's too early to tell, but I can say there is literally no scent to the solution and our boy, Mace, drinks his water as if nothing was added.
