I also heartily recommend following the advice not to leave them accessible. We mix water with our Maltese' prescription food and dump it into her slow-food bowl (she is an EAGER eater). We then put her pills (fish oil tablet, garlic tablet, Nauturvet Chew) in a separate bowl. Our dog will eat two bites of her food, look for the chew in the other bowl, then return to her food (which is consumed at record speed). have only been using this for 3 weeks after a recommendation from a friend, on a flatulent spaniel who insists on eating everything not nailed down and therefore has the waistline of a whale and gut problems to boot, so far Ive seen a slight improvement in his eating habits and an improvement in his stools, but its too soon to tell. Stella is a 6 yr old Chi Terrier Mix. I took her to the NORTHWEST ANIMAL CARE HOSPITAL because she hadn't ate for 1 1/2 days, then threw up blood late in the evening and next day her poo had blood in it and allot of drops on the floor. After ex rays and blood tests Vet said she had a high level of bad bacteria in her gut. Started I/D Chicken on Feb 28 afternoon and evening. I got 3 cans and the first can was very dried out and crumbly. I called them and they said that is the way it is suppose to be? Really. I opened second can when 1st one was empty it was not dried out at all, so I don't think it is suppose to be so dried out like that exp date is 01/2021. I added Hot Water to it for a few days then I had my Son go to PetSmart and get the Only Natural Pet nutrition boost Chicken Bone Broth and been mixing it into the food since. She is on this 4 times a day every 4 hours for 10 days and can't have any dry food or treats until blood test is done again to make sure the bad bacteria is gone. My 12 year old Shih Tzu has been on this food for many years. I switch off between the canned Prescription ID Turkey and the Prescription ID Chicken and Vegetable Stew. He likes both foods, for the most part. My biggest issue is the size of the turkey can (13 oz). It would be so much more convenient having it also available in a smaller can (5.5 oz), like the Chicken and Vegetable Stew, which is the perfect portion. When traveling with him, I have to make sure there is a refrigerator in the room, which at some places, requires an upgrade. Also, when leaving, I many times, have to throw the unfinished meals away, being both a waste of food and a waste of money. Also, it requires me to pack more cans, in my luggage. Even when I don't travel with my dog, it's a bit of a bother to have to refrigerate the unused portion which also, affects the taste of the food when it's cold. Please, consider the smaller can size, for this food and the low fat version. These little guys, who have issues with digestion, don't eat that much at a time. Thank you.

My puppy had an ongoing problem with soft stools. I was getting up 2-3 times per night to let her out, as well as cleaning up several messy accidents throughout the daytime. She was looking very lanky, and I was worried that nutrients were not being absorbed into her body very well. She had been taking FortiFlora since I had gotten her, but to no avail. Several rounds of metranizidol had been used which helped but only temporarily. I decided to take things into my own hands and try to get this under control. I put my puppy on a boiled meat/rice diet for a week. We have a diabetic Labrador Retriever. It has been a rough 6 months for us. So much upset tummy, throwing up after eating. My 2 year adopted Pit Bull has had bowels issues since I got her at age 10 months. The vet tested her for parasites and every thing that could cause diarrhea. My little Daisy has been on this for 1 month and she’s doing great. I informed my local vet of my choice to try herbals and she said as long as a veterinarian was involved in the herbs being used then it should be fine. My little Daisy is happy and eating all her food. I hope she can stay on this regimen for the rest of her life. It’s very sad to share that we lost our dear Cat due to kidney stone / kidney failure just a few days ago. I had been using a couple similar products (same ingredients) with my dog since he started having gastrointestinal issues a few months ago. He's been to the vet and placed on several medications, probiotics, stool-hardening "pastes", etc., all with limited to no success. I've been having to home cook his meals since this all started, and have only been able to mix in small amounts of GI commercial/prescription food before the GI issues return. For a month, I had been giving him Kaolin/Pectin with 1 of 3 meals a day, and this seemed to help his stools stay firm. Except for the days I didn't add it to a meal, there was no diarrhea. Anyway, the other products were both out-of-stock, so I figured I would try this. The ingredients were the same, so I was hoping for the same effect. Unfortunately, there were ZERO reviews posted, so I had limited information to go by. My dog has had diarrhea every single day since he started receiving this, even after adding it to all 3 meals a day! I stopped adding in commercial food thinking it would help. It did not. I've noticed this formula isn't quite as thick as the other formulas, so maybe the ratio of ingredients is slightly different? Regardless, I would not purchase this again, nor would I recommend it. This product came with no seal and a very loose cap. The content is very dry, almost powdery. I offered it to my kitty on my finger (which is how she usually takes her hairball gel). She liked it up, but it was so dry it literally fell out of mouth. I picked it up, and it crumbled between my fingers. I called the customer service, and was told that the quality should be fine, and that I could try mix it with water. I'll give it a try and see if it might work. But it's a hassle to deal with. They really should SEAL the product to guarantee the quality and consistency, instead of just using a loose cap that easily falls off any second.hahumiaomiao

Stella is a 6 yr old Chi Terrier Mix. I took her to the NORTHWEST ANIMAL CARE HOSPITAL because she hadn't ate for 1 1/2 days, then threw up blood late in the evening and next day her poo had blood in it and allot of drops on the floor. After ex rays and blood tests Vet said she had a high level of bad bacteria in her gut. Started I/D Chicken on Feb 28 afternoon and evening. I got 3 cans and the first can was very dried out and crumbly. I called them and they said that is the way it is suppose to be? Really. I opened second can when 1st one was empty it was not dried out at all, so I don't think it is suppose to be so dried out like that exp date is 01/2021. I added Hot Water to it for a few days then I had my Son go to PetSmart and get the Only Natural Pet nutrition boost Chicken Bone Broth and been mixing it into the food since. She is on this 4 times a day every 4 hours for 10 days and can't have any dry food or treats until blood test is done again to make sure the bad bacteria is gone. Will be opening the 3rd can in the morning, so I will be getting more cans. She seems to be doing allot better, more energy, seems happier and playing.

My Senior dog 12 year old pug, has IBD Irritable Bowel Disease, secondary to Pancreatitis. I have been giving him Fruitables Digestible Pumpkin in his food for the past three years. I use just a dollop or two. When he has a flair up I add a little bit more to his diet. He is however on Prescription Hills ID wet and dry so I mix the two then add the pumpkin. I always add a bit of water…. My little guy rarely scoots anymore, but does have to get his glands expressed every other month which is typical for the breed. I stand behind this product. Pumpkin off the shelf at the grocery may be cheaper but this is specifically developed for our four legged friends. Pumpkin on the shelf is for pies. My dog loves the taste. The shelf life is great, but after opened you have 7 days. If you won't use on a daily,you can put in ice trays with water and make pup pops. Pumpkin is healthy and extremely good for the digestive track~ Always a great treat! I find that 360 continues to carry the best price. Out of nowhere I started having acid reflux (never had it before in my life). So I did a little research and came across this product. I took it 2 to 3 times a day at least 30 minutes mixed with a little water before eating and after a week and a half no more acid reflux! I'm unsure of how well this product works mainly because I found my dog did not like taking it. I did not find it to dissolve well in his water and he did not want to drink his water with the packet mixed in it. Then I tried sprinkling it on his food which he ate but a large amount of the packet just settled on the bottom. I think you almost need to have moist food for it to stick. The little bit I got into him did not seem to make any difference but I know he didn't get their recommended amount and I did not get a lot days with him actually consuming it. I might try to administer it with moist food if he seems to have some digestive issues come up. For now, I didn't find the product to be either helpful or bad. It did not dissolve easily and was not easy to get my dog to consume it.corgi mom

The Tomlyn Pre & Probiotic supplement is a water soluble powder that mixes in with your dogs food or water. This product comes with 30 individually wrapped packets that contain a really, really fine white powder. I like that it is ground really fine because it makes it easier to mix. The only downside to that is that it can puff/smoke up if you are too heavy handed when pouring the product from the packaging. Each packet contains over 8 billion Colony Forming-Units (or CFU, for short) These organisms support good digestive health. I've been using this product for a week now and I love that I am putting good bacteria into my senior dogs gut. He has a yeast problem and probiotics are known to help with getting their gut health back on track. I leave my dogs food bowl full at all times so he can pick at it when he wants, so for this reason, I mix this product in with a tablespoon greek yogurt and he gobbles it up. I haven't noticed any side affect what-so-ever. Overall, I'm very happy with this product for the reason that I know it's helping get my baby's gut health back on track, it's easy to use, and there are no side effects! my vet and i found this product while looking up options to help my 15+ year senior cat who struggled with chronic constipation for years. x-rays showed he was borderline megacolon but not quite. a low fiber diet and osmotic laxatives like miralax helped, but didn't provide full relief and it was easy to over- or under-dose the miralax. prn cisapride also helped, but it was just a bandaid on the larger problem. he wasn't dehydrated and his diet includes canned food with extra water to support his old kidneys. more accurately, we first found a veterinary research article about SLAB-15, a probiotic blend that showed clinically significant reduction in cat constipation and diarrhea. the combination of probiotic bacterial species in the tomlyn pre- and probiotic comes the closest to SLAB-15 of anything we could find that was also easy to purchase regularly. i've been using this product for a few months and am over the moon with how well it alleviates my senior cat's GI symptoms. he's much more comfortable now that he's not bloated, no longer strains to defecate, and no longer needs laxatives or cisapride. the powder has no smell or flavor. it dissolves well in water and i mix it into his wet food, but the powder is fine enough to shake and coat his dry food without him noticing (or at least he doesn't care). yes, this is the dog version of the product, but formula-wise, the dog and cat versions are exactly the same. with the dog version, you get twice as much product for the same price. it also seems that the dog version is the only one ever on sale. just note that the dog sachets are 2g and the cat sachets are 1g, so a cat would get half the 2g dog packet per day. it works out to about 1/2 tsp per day, or 1/4 tsp 2x day.sfaust
