We took him to the vet and put him a regimen of medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics and an immunomodulator. We used the Skin Soother immediately after his daily bath. My pug had a dark bald spot on his neck from scratching and I was looking for something that would hopefully heal the area and let his hair grow back. I discovered the skin soother and decided to give it a try and this worked like magic! I ordered the 2 oz stick version and loved it. The application was great. It was very easy and clean to apply overall. I applied it to the area twice a day for two weeks before I was able to start seeing results. The hair started growing back and the dark skin was lightening up and becoming less dry and flaky. At the same time, my dog was scratching at it less so that was a plus. Only thing is this stick was practically gone by my second week. It would not have come close to lasting the month. That being said, I had to order another to see continued results but I ordered the larger tin instead. My only issue with this product is the tin is a lot harder to apply. The texture itself is not as soft and smooth as the stick. I also had to use my own hands to spread it on which I did not like at all. It also gets messy in the tin as my pug sheds so there is now hair stuck in the product. My recommendation to the company would be to have the stick in a larger option and I would gladly purchase that. However, currently I greatly regret purchasing two of the tins instead of the smaller sticks. All in all, this product works and I would buy it again! I had been struggling with a slight flea problem with my dog who is routinely treated with K9 ADVANTAGE II topical flea protection. After a vacation we came home with some fleas and my dog was scratching himself crazy. Topical meds were obviously not working. I tried vinegar and palmolive baths (with essence oils) there werent a lot of fleas but only a few are too many. Vaccuming and household sprays were not eliminating the tiny fleas i saw. I finally decided a medicated ‘dip’ was what i needed…found this shampoo at Walmarts and noticed it had a higher % of pyrethrins than anything else so i gave it a try. I followed the directions,used rubber gloves, lathered up good and let it sit about 7-8 minutes. I saw a few fleas wash off with the rinse….hours later my dog is sleeping peacefully and i cannot find even 1 flea no matter how hard i try. I love this shampoo! You only need a tiny amount to lather the whole dog and it doesnt smell horrible. If you have a flea problem try this shampoo (but dont forget your house must also be flea proofed).Fav

I really like that it uses a natural ingredient to kill the pests instead of a strange chemical that could endanger my pet or the environment. I have been battling fleas on my inside/ outside dog and 2 indoor cats. I have had little to no results with just about everything. I did my research and bought this shampoo based on reviews and that I could use it in both the dog and the cats. Both cats are older and I’m scared of the topical monthly flea meds. The answer to my prayers. Living in Florida flies can be quite the challenge. This is better than pricey vet shampoo! I say this because our 3 year old lab mix is sensitive to the season changes and with that being said he has quite a few hotspots throughout the year. We went to the vet the very first time it happened and received some allergy meds. Now they did work in the long run (we had to give them to him for about two weeks) but it didn’t necessarily help his skin—the itching, scratching, and biting. We have had Vetoquinol medicated shampoo in the past but it’s so expensive, anywhere from $25-$35 a bottle. So I did some research on medicated shampoos and came across this one. I was skeptic because it is on the cheaper end and you know how that sometimes goes haha. Needless to say I’ve never actually had a product cost less than half the price and do what a name brand does. It cleared up his skin in a few days (using it twice a week) until the spots were gone although he did get relief the very first time we bathed him in it; which is such a wonderful thing to witness when your dog is visibly struggling. Just please don’t stop making this product and carrying it Walmart!!! We depend on it!!! So sorry I don’t have before and after photos for you to see for yourself but just buy it, you will not be disappointed plus it will save you SO much money.

My dog has been having such problems with his skin, super itchy and has always been very sensitive. He licks a lot and creates hot spots etc… After he got an infection and we had to put a cone around his head this has helped sooooo much to clear up his skin condition! Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. Oh man, I guess I was assuming the Flea Flicker Tick Kicker’s smell would also be slight ( like the Protect Neem shampoo) sprayed him down in our master bathroom. Huge mistake. It really smells like an old lady perfume and filled the room with the same determination! Don’t make the same mistake, spray it outside in open air! It cleared the room of fleas, ticks, and people alike. Thankfully, the smell didn’t linger too long on his coat like it did in our room. That said, we do travel/hike a lot and he goes in the cars and RV so it’s important that he has good tick/flea repellent. I’ve noticed he isn’t scratching and licking like he was, so the “old lady smell” was a good trade off! The smell faded but the benefits haven’t yet. I received this product for free to try and write a review. To start, the smell of this is really strong in smaller spaces. I personally made the mistake of using it on my dog in the bath tub after a quick dry off from his normal bath. I ended up getting the spray hitting the back of the tub and coming towards my face. I did get a bit on my tongue, which I had some discomfort for about an hour – but thankfully none of the ingredients are toxic to humans for the amount that got in my mouth. Aside from the mishap – which I completely take responsibility for because in hindsight that was a bit dumb, it seems great. My dog has sensitive skin, and it doesn't seem to be reacting to him. He seems quite content with it. From his normal walks, no fleas or ticks – but we're still in the early days of spring and the weather isn't quite warm enough to determine if this will hold up all summer long. I use fipronil for my work on bed bugs and other insects and I know this product works. I use your product for my dog and it works great. Fipronil being the ingredient in certain bed bug products is one of the best chemicals for the control of tough to kill insects. It works wonders on parasites of wild and domestic animals and is safe to work with by following the directions. It's basically odorless so dogs and cats dont mind the application. It takes a few days to kill but it last a very long time and some people dont give it time to work. So far, so good. I've been using this product as a generic alternative for Frontline Plus for about a year now. Applicator: The applicator is similar as the one from Frontline Plus and I would argue that it's easier to open. The product itself looks and smells like FLP which you would expect with the same active ingredients. Use: My dog's skin will be oily in the application spot for several hours but again, no different than FLP. I have tried alternative products with different active ingredients and they had to be applied in several locations on the dog's back and would remain very oily for days meaning that whenever the dog came into contact with furniture, there would be huge oily spots. This has not been the case with Petarmor. I typically apply it in the morning before going to work and then crate my dog while at work. When I return, the product is completely absorbed into the skin and I don't have to worry about oily residue on my hands or furniture. Efficacy: In the last year, we have had one tick on our dog that had actually attached while using this product. The 2 years prior, we also had one occurence of a tick attaching using FLP, so no difference there. If anything, maybe I'm not using it correctly or frequently enough? Either way, the ticks were relatively easy to pull out and the dog showed no signs of disease or illness. We also had one occassions where although the ticks did not attach to our dog's skin, they did use the dog as a vehicle to get into our house. I think the active ingredient kept them from attaching but didn't keep them from staying off of her. They ended up crawling on our floor but I was able to kill them. In short, it works at least as well as Frontline Plus although it isn't 100% effective in stopping ticks from attaching.iamholland

Now let's break it down $59.53 divided by 30 days of the month that's a $1.98 per day to protect your baby. I do agree it could have had a lot more stuff to help with the fleas & ticks. Now the reason I said it won't work for me, is because I have 21 babies so instead of buying 1 bottle a month I would be buying 3 1/2 bottles. First, let me state that I was unsure of this product before it arrived, not only because of the amazing price but because I've tried many different flea pills, chews and the liquid forms and none of them seemed to help at all. I have three large dogs and bought a bottle of 30 chews, geared towards smaller to medium size dogs, for around $29 and some change. Normally even after a bath, once my Dogs go outside, fleas are going to jump all over them. We've treated our yard but not only are there many strays in the area, not all of our neighbors treat their dogs or yards. I have given them each 1 chew daily since I got the first bottle, almost on the second bottle now and not one flea has been found alive on them! And very few dead ones, that we've found on their coats. No side effects so far (thankfully) and seemingly this product works extremely well, in my opinion. I spent 60 dollars for this to not work I bought three boxes because my siblings need it too, the comb will DEFINITELY not take the eggs out, the eggs go straight threw the comb like nothing. The actual bugs are not easy to get either I used the shampoo treatment and I thought it killed them pretty good but I ended taking a live one out and I was disgusted if I really wanted all of them out it will take me all day. I cut my hair to my shoulders and it was still hard and didn’t work so I ended up going to a lice clinic and it worked really well because they have products that actually work I am lice free now, but don’t waste your money on this trust me If you really want them out try using a nit comb and oil. This product is okay. It doesn't work against super lice & it worked on only about half of the lice on my child. Worked great on my mom. The comb provided doesn't get everything. This in combination with the but free terminator comb I got from Amazon worked well. Everyone told me for months my child didn't have lice finally I said screw it and got the terminator comb, because it's a good investment for young school age children. I did her hair with the terminator comb first & guess who was right for the last few months. Not the people calling me crazy or the nurses & school nurses who checked her that's for sure. I used a magnifying glass with a little light on it to see what I got from her hair & could see the lice wiggling in the terminator comb so gross. I then did this treatment & used their comb. We love this neem spray. It smells so good with ingredients like neem,citronella and aloe. I have dogs that have pretty sensitive skin and they all use it with zero reactions. Our family uses this along side the same line of shampoo from ark naturals and the tick kicker spray and we have seen a huge decrease in the amount of ticks that latch on or even jump on to the dogs. We live in an area where ticks are a HUGE problem so this has been a god send as some of our dogs can’t be on tick/flea prevention because of health problems. Highly recommend this stuff. It is quite strong so I go easy with drenching them. It’s very soothing on their skin if used correctly. My one frenchie gets zoomies after I put this on him. Beejers (a rescue Pom-Chi) is just 7 lbs and I used the expensive stuff on him the first 3 months when he came to his forever home with the 2 Bengals & I, cuz it said "WATER-PROOF". So this stuff is supposed to be great for the dogs skin and even after a single use there is a noticeable difference. But what was most noticeable was how soft the dogs coat was once it dried; Amazingly soft and silky as well as a very pleasing odor. Warning, dogs did shiver a lot while wet. I blame the peppermint and tea tree oils for this. With both being cooling oils and the additional "tingling" feeling that tea tree causes is the perfect combination of oils to create a shiver storm, but the oils are so good for the dog and coat. It's well worth the few minutes of mild discomfort. I will be purchasing more.Bill W.

I've never smelt a dog cleaner as good as these ones! My bulldog has severe allergies and right now his dander is brutal(I sweep up piles daily). I've been using petarmor for quite a few years now, and not ever an issue, would find a dead flea once in a while. now this new order I received, first dose and both my dogs are having anywhere from 4-7 fleas everyday on each of them. I've had my yard sprayed, I bathe my dogs regularly , they only go outside to potty. So i a at wits end with why the petarmor is not working !!! This product (when used faithfully) works! I’ve been using this product for nine years and no fleas or ticks. I briefly switched to the Plus and tried in the other expensive brand and my dog had a bad rash from whatever is in the Plus version in any brand. Oral pills make her sick.
