Reviews:
I have been using these large Permate dog houses to house my Nigerian Dwarf goats for many years. They have made "affordable housing" for my goats. I will say that my bucks (boys) are much harder on the houses than the does (girls). Both genders jump on top, but the bucks crack the rain shield by jumping on top of the houses. This happens after a while, not right away. I don't blame the company that makes these because they are intended for dogs, not goats that love to climb! I do wish the tops would be stronger to prevent this problem from happening. Another area to improve design would be for the top to somehow lock on to the base. When my Great Pyrenees (GP) dog goes inside to lay down, the lid can lift/tilt off. The large size is not big enough for a GP. The price keeps going up, and I'm not pleased with having to pay more. I wait until the neighbor club coupon comes out to buy any needed replacement houses. Over the years I've bought countless Permate Large dog houses, so I know these pretty well! My Lab and Australian Shepherd love these large Petmate houses too.Farmer Johns
Looks very nice and hardy but it floods when it rains, I don't know how but the water gets inside and it is too much water. I put a crate pad inside for my outdoor cat to stay warm and went to check on my cat a few hours later after it rained, and the pad was soaking wet not to mention the house was full of water more water than what was outside . Walmart was very helpfulNA
The dog house comes in two parts – top and bottom. They do not snap together; the top merely sits on the bottom. No hardware is provided to attach the two and even if there was there are no holes through which one would thread screws or bolts (or whatever) to keep the dog house together. I use these for my goats because these houses are inexpensive but the goats knowingly and regularly have fun pushing up on the exit/entrance hole to "break" the house into two pieces. Yes, I laugh at their antics but I still plan to drill holes and use nuts/bolts to keep the top and bottom together.L McGaffey

We just got ours 2 days ago. It was deklivered by UPS during the aftermath of hurricane Ida. The UPS man needed help unloading it and when I actually got it out of the weather I noticed the box was damaged. Got the wife to come and take pictures of the damage as I unpacked it. It wasn't actually too bad except for the roof being cracked, but not beyond what I can possibly repair. Multiple places there are either screws lost or obvious cracks in the material. I will repair it as well as I can and then trrow a few coats of Epoxy paint on and IN it to protect the wood. The kennal itself was in stock and went together easily. As my pups will be spending only a few hours in it I decided to keep it and repair it. I know there are at leaast 10 screws and bolts missing because the hardware packet was partially opened and some parts had obviously fallen out of the shipping container.Bogey1
I give five stars because for the price I believe it is a nice dog house. Steel framing seems sturdy and it comes with a composite floor that will not rot. I found it easy to put together, but I could see how others may not think it is easy. Parts labeled very well and squared up well on assembly. I recommend putting together on flat concrete and only move after installing after all self tapping srews are in place. Only negative thing I would have to say is that the walls are a little thin for my liking. I feel they could be a little thicker. Also i like how it attaches to the retriever kennel. Other than that, great buy!DoggE
This dog house is a huge waste of money. I plan on returning mine today. First off, the wooden panels are paper thin and the floor will bow under little weight. I'm actually afraid my dog would chew out of the house very quickly. There were some parts of the instructions that didn't say which way smaller parts should be facing, and you would go through all the trouble to put it together then find out that one small part had to be flipped, but the instructions were not clear about some parts. I rebuilt this dog house probably 5 times because parts just didn't fit well at all for some reason. Oh and you DO need a drill because part of it want's you to drill screws through the metal frame because for some reason the holes were not included in the frames? The metal frame is cheap and easily bends under little weight. The only reason I even got this doghouse is because I have the retriever kennel that goes with it. Do yourself a favor and get a better quality dog house or build a good one yourself.James009
3. Gowa Our Generation Deluxe Dog House Set – Og Puppy House
Product Details:
Your kiddo's doll will have a blast when you bring home this our generation deluxe dog house set. this doll dog house is the perfect size for you kiddo's six-inch pup ? it comes with a food bowl, collar and toys to make the perfect spot for your doll's pup. a food and water bowl will make sure that their pup never goes hungry, and a variety of toys will help their doll keep their puppy entertained. this our generation dog house set adds an extra dose of imaginative fun to their playtime.
Reviews:
I love how you get to write your doll's pet's name on the calk part, which makes it very realist compared to a real doghouse. The food and water bowl part is really cute and I love how it comes with a collar, in case you loose a collar for the pet. I love the balls and chew toys and most of all the dog bone, which is really cute and very realistic, once again. The rope toy is cute, too. I also like the bed a lot, though small, I love how colorful it is. I love the house itself, even though it's pretty small for all the things that the set comes with. I also like how the roof opens when in use. However, my absolute favorite part is the newspaper, because it's very creative and funny.rattlesnake547
From the time we opened this until bed time, my daughter didn’t stop playing with this. She even took it outside with her to play with. It was fun for her to use this with her dogs, and other little animal toys she had. Some pieces are on the smaller side so keep this in mind when buying for younger kids! It’s overall a great, well made toy that really adds more fun to some regular toys you may have!lseegs
This dog house is much larger than I thought and for the price totally worth it! OG has added some great thoughtful accessories to this dog house; including the newspaper. I like that you can open the one flap for easier play. This is very helpful for children with younger siblings that want to join in on the play. They can easily access the puppies being placed inside and enjoy the fun. Be careful with younger children as many of the puppy items are small and could be a choking hazard for the hand to mouth little ones. This house can go with any animal set from OG or AG and especially a dollhouse. Great job OG!FunWithAGDolls
4. Petmate 25944 Indigo Dog House, Extra Large
Product Details:
This is a top-of-the line igloo shaped doghouse featuring an extended, offset doorway for rain resistance and wind protection. made with structural foam that acts as insulation to keep your dog cool in the summer and warm in the winter. the heavy duty construction will help keep your pet protected from outdoor elements and roof ventilation allows for continual air flow. indigo is made with microban, an antimicrobial to fight the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. measures 51.5 x 39.3 x 30 inches.
Reviews:
It's not extra large, that's for sure. It's a large. My two Berner males at 94-lbs and 120-lbs don't go in because they can barely turn around in it. Nor my 88-lb Pyrenees. The material itself is great. But isn't the point that the dog can get in/out of it so they use it? My smaller 72-lb female uses her Ex-Lg. So is it really the size a medium dog should use? I spent $$ for 5 Extra Lg and 1 dog uses it. Not a happy camper.SCloudcroft
I own 6 of these quality XL dog houses for my Great Pyrenees dog, as well as, my pygmy goats. My goats actually prefer them to there fully enclosed barn. MINNESOTA Winter or Summer, they love to cuddle sometimes 2-3 per igloo. I have never needed to use the flap doors. I think the ventilation is more important. As a bonus they are a great climbing structure, even my guardian dog can be found balancing on top to get a better view of potential predators in the distance. One temporary drawback is the base can be difficult to disassemble from the top, for the first few cleanings. But a large screw drivers works well to pry them apart and they "break in" quite quickly. As my herd grows, I will keep adding these amazing shelters. Thanks Petmate!
Purchased a second XL house for our two Great Pyrenees because they no longer fit in one together. Our original is over 15 years old and is in great shape. Love the new design with the slight angle that provides more space and blocks the wind. Durable and strong material, yet still lightweight and easy to move.S Ringo

I got this recently on a great sale price… it was half the cost of another dog house that I bought (and returned). The one I ended up returning was designed as an actual house, but cost $100 and the plastic was very flimsy… I felt it wasn't worth the price, and my dog never liked it. I looked online and saw this "dog house" (it's really a crate, IMO); and Petco had the least expensive price, at half the retail cost. I was also able to pick it up the same day at a local store, and received a further discount for picking it up at the store. There's only 2 pieces (a top and a bottom), and the top basically just sits on the bottom, with tabs that are supposed to hold it in place. It's not the most secure, but I don't see this being blown across the yard or anything. The plastic is heavy duty and sturdy… I mean sure, if you live in a tornado or hurricane area, then of course, yes, it'll get toss across the neighborhood; but otherwise, it should stay in place. Great for when you need to leave your pet outside for a while. It's very wide, but not very long though. My dog can curl up in here and he can fit, but he can not stretch out or lay out in this… which is fine, because dogs usually like sleeping curled up and they like snug fitting enclosures to sleep in. I have a standard size labradoodle.NYC Gal Out
My standard size labradoodle fits into it. He uses it to sleep in. This is not something he can stand straight up in or something he can stretch out in… but for sleeping, he loves to curl up in it. I bought it for use outside during the winter or a rainy day, to get out of the cold or rain when I have to put him outside in the yard for a while. We put it inside the house first so that he would get use to it. The one I got said it was for dogs 50-90 lbs., which is the large size. He has no problem getting in and out of this, and he likes it a lot better than the Suncast house shaped doghouse I got him (which I ended up returning). This is plastic, but it's made of heavy duty plastic and it's sturdy; there's only a top and bottom part, and basically the top part sits on the bottom part, with tabs that are supposed to hold the two pieces together. I got it on sale, so I got it for a great price.NYCGalOut
Got these doghouses as an outdoor reprieve from the elements for our 2 Huskies. They are very sturdy and made of solid hard plastic. They've managed to remain dry inside even in a couple of downpours and driving rain. The only time that wasn't the case is when I had one on an uneven patch of grass. So you definitely want to place it on a platform if there's no flat surface. Unfortunately our pups, house dogs that LOVE to go out and play, still haven't embraced the concept of having a private pad "outside." Other than that, it's easy to set up and clean. It has plenty of room for our 70 pounder and is absolutely palatial for the 45 pounder. I got the large size for both since they were so affordable – $44 bucks each! Love the color. This purchase was a no-brainer!OnomatoHusky

Reviews:
I purchased this one as I wanted a wireless version vs the perimeter one I had to bury. We use this when we go fishing as well as around the house. We have only had to use the continuous shock once at level 2. The tone works so well we dont really need the other features but we have them just in case, our dog decides to be really stubborn in the future. My favorite is how easy it is to use, charge and the fact the tone is the best way to get my dog's attention. It has not taken long for him to know the remote goes to his collar and that just showing him he knows to heel or the tone sound will come on and get his attention quickly. My sister is purchasing one as well since my purchase, as she has seen how much it has helped our strong willed dog. He just needed a little extra guidance for his safety as we live off a highway and next to woods with coyotes. Definitely would buy again and looking forward to showing my sister how to work hers next week.Countrysun
Really enjoy the simplicity of the collar and remote. My only wish is that the vibrate setting was higher, our deaf American bully doesn't respond to the vibrate setting very well. Other than that we really enjoy this tool and it's nice to have something to grab her attention when getting too far.Tatorgator
Literally bought this as my second attempt first was a petsafe wireless fence and it wasn’t as user friendly as this petsport with a remote. I’m able to keep basic corrections in house and outside in the yard! I was worried it wouldn’t be small enough for my mini Heeler but the collar comes with an abundant amount of holes for proper fit on anything ! Supper pleased with the collar and the three bases it has for training. The beep tone the one hit simulation and the longer hit stimulation gives me theee options to ask my dog according to what she’s doing. I like that it can be supper mild and allow her the chance to be asked nicely and then reinforced mildly and then reinforcement with a sterner setting. A true life saver. My pup was running out to the neighbors across the street and up to meet cars it literally only took thirty mins in house training on basics and then outside yard training for a little under an hour! I am now no longer stressed about her getting hurt she comes right back to me and treats me as I am her safe spot! I thought it would discourage her but if taken time and reading directions and applying properly you will have a new dog !Heeler

Reviews:
I was crazy in low with my traeger pro 575. I have had my traeger for a little over a year and from putting it together to smoking to grilling the thing worked like a charm and I was immensely satisfied. New Years Eve I fire up my Traeger set it to 500 to make wood fire pizzas. Family is all excited I have 6 pies all lined up ready to go and all of a sudden there’s a metallic burning smell in kitchen. I look out my back door to see the paint on my Traeger melting off I look at the temp dial and it says it’s only at 400. I quickly run outside begin the shut down process open up the traeger don’t notice anything out of the usual. I called customer service and spent 45 minutes on the phone with this nice girl trying to explain to her that paint should not be melting and flaking off a grill. She was very nice but did not seem interested in helping me get to the bottom of my problem and chalked it up to being a grease or pellet fire and there was nothing she can do. I’m worried to even turn my grill on again and worried about melting paint and that paint turning to dust on my unit and she just kept asking me how I enjoy my traeger and what I have cooked on it and what I am going to cook in the future on it. I tried to tell her how disappointed I am with how this call is going so she put me on two 5-10 holds. Finally she comes back and says there is still nothing she can do about the body of my grill but has order me some interior pieces for my unit. I’m writing this review to advise people to think twice about buying a 800 dollar grill that when you cook on it the possibility of melting of the exterior will happen. Not sure I will be cooking on my unit again a lot of money poured down the drain because paint is turning to dust and that doesn’t seem safe to have food around that and to consume.
You will spend all of your time fixing it! A year and a half ago, I bought a Traeger PRO 575 grill and all I have done is spend my time on the phone with customer service and manually repairing this grill. If you love spending your weekends fixing grills and talking to customer service, these grills are for you! I have been troubleshooting it for so long that by the time I actually asked for a refund they claimed I was to far out of the refund time even though the grill is still under warranty! That sounds legit right? Well I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and if you are looking at buying a pellet smoker read this review right here. You will be repairing it, you will be spending your weekends and free time talking to customer service. It will be another chore for you to do. Not to mention the joy of repeating yourself every time you call in. I maybe had the same conversation 10-12 times. Imagine going through the same 10 troubleshooting steps every time you call in for the same problem. Everytime you call in its going to be your whole morning, going through the same explanation, working on it, taking all the pieces off and putting them back on. Occasionally they will send you a replacement piece that you have to repair, so get youtube out and follow along with the instructions. Now imagine months of this, always on your to do list, never being able to actually use the $500+ piece of tech you just bought. Don't waste your money, don't waste your time, don't buy Traeger.Wynn
I’m on my Traeger 575 pro almost 3 years ago after getting tired gas grills that just cook my food and added no flavor. I was an average grill guy until my Traeger. Then one day my Traeger died. It would not come on at all even though the light came on on the back of it. I had no idea I had a three-year warranty until Traeger told me when I called them. It’s a REAL warranty- not some pay a percentage sort of thing. My control panel had died and it was a $300 part that I paid absolutely nothing for including the shipping of the part to me. Yes, I will continue to buy their pellets and other goods because I appreciate a company that keeps its promises- even when the customer didn’t even know they’d made that promise.J. Mike Money

First off when I bought the grill they only had pre assembled one's. So I picked the best of the bunch. I get it home and its missing parts and bent everywhere. The grill inserts dont stay in place because of that. Used a few times and this last time when the grill was scorching hot I opened the lid to attend my food and the upper warming grate just falls out the grill with food on it. Seeing I was cooking for a bunch of people it was infuriating and embarrassing. If I could go back and return it I would. Would not recommend this grill but maybe someone would have better luck with putting it together themselves.
If you search enough reviews on this grill, you'll find the common denominators… Great cooking grill that heats up fast, but is cheaply made and rusts within a couple years. I've had this unit for 3 years now, and the backside of the propane drum is rusting right through (not from rain, but from inside out). Other than that, most other parts are still in good working order. It's truly a shame because these bbq's are some of the best units I've ever cooked with…bar none. The drum design (kinda like a hemi engine) is the most efficient design for circulating and generating heat quickly. However, what's kind of stunning is the number of people who praise these rigs, but are dumbfounded by the company who makes them, because they won't up the ante to simply use higher quality parts and materials. I, like many others, would happily pay more, if only they'd make these things to last.Macc10x
I bought a grill for Mother’s Day and I had a lunch with family and friends. I used the grill for first time that day and after 30 minutes of use, big flames started to cover the grill area making an scare noise like a torch. I closed all gas burners but the flame didn’t go away. When I opened the doors where the propane tank was installed, the rubber hose was burned and the flame was coming just 12 inches from the tank. I put my hand inside to close the tank knob and I got burned my hand and arm. I sent pictures of everything to Char Grill customer service department but they said the problem was due to grease on the grill. They never asked about my burns or replace the grill. They just ignored the high risk that my friends and my family were exposed. It was a very scared moment and I have 15 people in my house as witnesses that saw the problem. Very disappointing the way how Char Grill handled the situation. I have pics and a video.johan Hernandez

Got this in a few days before our 1st RV adventure. Was perfect on campfire! We used our new Wayfair cast iron pans, made smores- the whole deal!! The legs fold down so its easily stored away… I thought it might look Like it had been in a fire But no- I just wiped it off and it looks like I havent used it! Totally happy- well see after a year- but this is s sturdy well made product. Not too heavy- just rightCarrie
This heavy duty camp grill was exactly as described and worked great for our friends as they love to camp. Its not to heavy to transport and it's really easy to use. It also cleans up nicely when using it over the campfire to cook and heat up coffee and such. This is a fantastic price for a camp grill.Trevi

Two big, big flaws this grill has makes this product a no go until its addressed. Flaw #1 The locking mechanism when the grill is folded is not strong enough to keep the lid closed when the grill is upright. Once you fold the grill up and you're not too careful the lid will open and the grates will come crashing down, It has happened to me like 15 times within the past two months and is infuriating; Im going to have to get a bungee cord to keep it shut but I shouldn't have too after spending a decent amount of money this grill. Flaw #2 I would definitely not recommend buying and using one pound cylinder propane to use this grill. I had to get an exchange on a this particular grill because I carefully put a one pound propane cylinder to use this grill, after I tried to remove the propane cylinder it would not unscrew, we kept trying and trying to unscrew tank, but it ultimately broke other parts of the grill. I read multiple other reviews experiencing the same exact problem. You will need to spend an extra 40 bucks and get an extension hose adapter and only use 15lb propane tanks. This grill is such a disappointment, it could be great but the quality falls flat.Dom10
Bought this as a replacement for a another similar grill that fell apart. Having owned other Weber grills I thought it would as good as the others. The first time I folded the grill to roll it around the lock lever snapped off. I couldn't understand why it was made of plastic given its function. I discovered (the hard way) don't try rolling without the frame lock, it opens and anything inside falls out. Turned a replacement part was not available. After several attempts was able to find a customer service person he found a way to come up with a replacement part. Be very careful when engaging/disengaging the lock level, it breaks very easily. The lid lock can't be engaged manually it locks automatically when the grill is folded up to roll around. However (as I found out) the lid will open if the frame lock is not engaged. You can not lock the lid while the grill is set up for use, not a good design. The propane fitting is under the grill and not all that easy to access. It has a mechanism that prevents you from folding the grill to move it so you can not store folded with a 1 lb cylinder in place. The grill takes longer than I expected (compared to any other gas grill I have used) to reach cooking temperature. Once there it does cook well. The last issue I have is the inside bottom of the grill did not allow grease to flow into the catch pan. Had to clean it after my first use. I was amazed the catch pan had nothing in it but the inside of the grill had all the hamburger grease. I hope that will not be a constant problem. No other gas grill I have owned had this happen.PEEL
I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to for this awesome grill so that other shoppers can avoid agonizing over the purchase like I did. It does its job exactly as promoted and doesn’t let you down. I dare anyone to try to make a grill more adaptable and transportable. Whether you are tailgating with a hammered crew or having a steak dinner with a date, you need to own this rig. It lights simply, heats up quickly (yes, even in the snow), has a large cooking surface, is easy to clean, takes seconds to set up or collapse, and fits great in an SUV or truck bed. Do you like to party at home? Buy it. Do you like to party on vacation? Buy it. Do you like to party at your friends’ houses but don’t trust their garbage equipment? Buy It. I work this grill hard and often and have never experienced any problem. It is an absolute workhorse. Everyone I have shown this grill to is jealous. You roll down the lot and whip this Weber out and the people know you mean business. If you don’t have your credit card out yet, you should be yelling at the person in the next room to see if they’ve seen your wallet.Gonzgonzgonz

I am back to the old time smoker, finally! After moving to a gated corporate owned community I started using a pellet smoker for the last 8 years. Since I started smoking meats 54 years ago and always with charcoal and wood, I resigned myself to be satified with a pellet system. When the Covid plandemic hit and stopped travel we left our corporate community and resume live in the real world which meant I could return to actually smoking meats again. Thank you Lord! I bought the King Griller Smokin' Ace for several reasons: 1] my age; 2] it is an offset smoker which is, in my opinion, the only way to smoke meats!; 3]price; 4] the removable grill bottom in the main compartment. This was important to me as I turned this over and installed it upside down & made certain it covered the fire hole in the fire box. This directed the smoke across the grill & allows smoke to seep around in a more uniform fashion with even smoke through the grill. It also contains the heat & transfers it more evenly throughout. I did buy a clamp for the fire box although I do not think it is actually necessary. I put a layer of Lavarock sealer around the fire box lid and this was a mistake. Should not had done it as I believe the system would work fine without it. I did fire my grill for around 10 hours empty to season it before actually putting meat in it. This gave me an apoortunity to test temperture settings and learn the grill a bit so not to burn valuable food. I did a pork butt anda 5 lb chicken as my first real cooking. The chicken came off after 5.5 hours with a 165F and was the most moist bird I have had in a while and the flavor definitely real smoke. Wonderful. The butt [5.25 lbs] I ended up removing after 9.5 hours, wrapped in foil and finished in the oven at 200 for another 2 hours. In the smoker it reached about 182F and wanted at least 190 or 200. Came out just what I wanted, black outside/pink inside. Delicious. The draft controller is my only compaint.
This Griller/smoker was gifted to me by a friend. I have a small Q grill and a master built electric smoker, which I have used a lot. This grill was a outdoor display model for Lowe's, my friend went there for something else and saw the price and bought it on the spot. The paint was dull and there was rust on the grates and wheels. A little elbow grease and a wire brush took care of the rust. I am seasoning it now and followed all the directions, including putting oil on the outside of the grill when warm. Now it looks like it just came out of the box. I am able to control the heat very well using the dampers on the fire box and chimney and have maintained 240-260degrees. The paint looks good, no bubbling anywhere on the fire box. Using lump charcoal is the way to go. You don't need a lot of it to maintain good temperature control. I have 18min left on part one of seasoning the grill. I'll pull the grates and let them cool then apply more vegetable oil and put them back in for two more hours at 200degrees. Then, it's cooking time. MTF.
I just got this smoker a couple of weeks ago. And it's been great. It adds a great bark and flavor to all I'm cooking. One negative thing about this smoker is the lid seems to be about a quarter inch to half an inch larger than the bottom barrel. I thought it might just be mine but went back to the store where I bought it and looked at the display model and it was the same way so I think that might be a factory defect on the precision of the steel as it's being made. The reason this is a disappointing is because it lets out so much smoke and heat. I put some lava lock seal around the edges but that didn't help too much. It almost made it worse. Other than that though it does a really great job at smoking the meat so far.

These are nice dog houses. They are light weight & don't look like they are very warm, but they actually do a good job, my border collies like these a lot. The extra neck or tunnel entrance is nice to give them some extra protection and privacy. They stand up pretty well to puppies chewing on them to. I recommend this dog house.Iowafarmgal
I bought my first about 20 years ago, then shortly after bought another. My dogs passed, so I gave them to a neighbor, which still has them in use. I recently got a medium breed puppy, so I went and got another since I had such good service out of the first two. I would highly recommend to anyone with a pet outside. We get some snow where I live and my dogs always stayed warm and dry.
I mistakenly bought the Large doghouse for dogs up to 90 lbs. But my 5 month old coonhound was too large for it. I returned it and ordered the X-large doghouse and it is the right size. Unfortunately, the doghouse was broken in two places, probably due to the way you ship. These doghouses are delivered without any protection and will crack or break when sliding into anything. I will have to repair it to hold it together since I don't trust you are able to send another one without the same issues.Daniel

I'm a long time charcoal Komodo user who took the plunge on a Pellet grill and I absolutely love it. I've had it for 6 months now and I find I use it so much more than my Komodo, especially during the week where I don't have to light and baby the charcoal to light. With the Traeger I press a button, go back inside and 10 minutes later I'm ready to throw food 9nnthe grill. I will say it takes a little more maintenance than I anticipated, you really do need a small vacuum to clean up the ash every now and then, and it's not easy to get to (you have to take off the grill rack and drip pan to get to the fire pot where you need to vacuum). I've done a couple overnight cooks already to great success. Held a steady temperature through the night and was surprisingly efficient with pellets. The hopper was still 80% full at 225 after an overnight cook (this was also during summer where it probably didn't have to work as hard). I'm also very glad I made the jump to 780 over the 575 as I enjoy utilizing the space available to me. Overall I highly recommend a pellet grill, specifically the Traeger 780!David
Nice grill. Only used once so far. Grill seems to be well built. Handle gets too hot to handle with bare hand at 450 degrees. Would also be better if it had swivel wheels on all 4 legs instead of just 2. Probe was not very accurate either. It reads about 20 degrees high. I hope there is a way to calibrate it. Cooked burgers and they were juicier and less shrinkage and no burn marks like gas grill flare ups caused. Had to use handheld thermometer to get them done.Grillman2
This is my second Traeger. I have been a huge fan of Traeger! I loved the box it came in! No dents and had some fun when assembling. Traeger makes it fun and interactive! The grill works great! I have cooked just about everything. Why the one star? I take great pride in my Traeger. I purchased this new one for the Wi-Fi capabilities and the larger option. I only use Traeger products for cleaning, pellets and foil liners. I donated my 2 year old Traeger to a senior neighbor that loves when I used my Traeger but was unable to buy one. It was an easy reason to upgrade. My new Traeger's finish is disappointing. I have only used it a couple of times since I bought it on July 1st 2022. The paint is already chipping! I have used the recommended and branded Traeger cleaning products and followed the instructions. So disappointed. I would return but Bestbuy only has a 15 day return policy. Maybe I got a bad batch?Marco

Couldn't love this Griddle More!! Every family needs one! It is so versatile and will cook amazing meals! I wish it came with its own lid, but I bought an after market one. I found this item at a decent price point as far as griddles go. It feels more heavy duty than other grills on the market. I love that it has an individual ignite system for each burner! So it lights easily all the time!! From Breakfast to Fajitas, to smash burgers and even s'mores, you can't go wrong with this griddle!!lindsay.h
First the good: It lights easy and stays lit, temperature control is good and the griddle top is thick enough to retain heat without having it turned up to high. The bad: With as well built as most Camp Chef products are, I am baffled by the complete lack of engineering of the grease drain. First, the drain hole is too small to scrape any food particles down, and second and most annoyingly, the grease drain catch/container is not positioned far back enough behind the down spout so that when the grease drips down it follows the back of the spout then drips down the outside of the catch and right down the leg of the grill onto your deck! After experiencing this issue I sought out other reviews and have come to see that this is a common complaint. There are an infinite number of ways to rectify this flaw without adding much cost to the product. Until this issue is fixed, I would not recommend anyone purchase this griddle/grill as there are other good brands that have thoughtfully engineered the grease draining.John
I purchased FTG-600 Used it about 8 times cooked two pounds of bacon on it and the top warped! Called customer service and was told this is not covered under warranty. You cannot cook cold food items on them bc they are made from rolled steel. Customer service person was very rude and kept cutting me off as I explained what the problem was.this means you cannot cook frozen hamburgers on it! She informed me that this is explained in the manual and I should not have purchased knowing this could happen unfortunately the manual is in a closed box . Very disappointing since I have several other camp chef products and always thought they were top of the line but this experience proved me wrong. Would not purchase this product againScreenplayer66
19. Petsafe – Extreme Weather Pet Door – Medium
Product Details:
The perfect door for extreme climates. petsafe's 3-flap pet door protects your home from extreme temperatures while giving your pet the freedom to come and go. 3-flap system offers protection from extreme heat, cold, drafts, insects, or driving rain. this well-designed door delivers maximum energy efficiency that’s 3-½ times higher than petsafe's standard single-flap pet doors. great for pets up to 100 lbs.
Specifications:
Weight | 62.08 oz |
Reviews:
The door itself was nice. Not too difficult to install but not as easy as some that I’ve done. My problem (and the reason for the 2 star review) is the “closing panel” which is not a panel but rather a cover. I assumed that this door cover would work like all other petsafe doors I’ve had which have been great. Because the description says “panel,” that further made me think it was a panel that you slide in like all doors I’ve seen. This is not the case. It’s a snap-on cover that is supposed to clip in on the sides. It comes with one cover that you can put on either the inside or the outside. You will either be able to keep things in or out but not both at the same time. The biggest problem is that depending on your door and placement, the panels in the door can make the alignment to clip it on nearly impossible (see picture). I don’t have any confidence in it so we always have to block the door with something pushed up against the cover. I have a degree in mechanical engineering, so it’s not a lack of intelligence that’s the problem. It’s a poor design for the cover.
Easy enough to install, but their use of nylon bolts is a downside. I understand it is so you can cut the excess away. But it probably wouldn't have cost any more (possibly a tiny bit more) to engineer the door to use metal hardware so it wouldn't strip as easily. The other issue I have is the "security" snap on door. Because it's snap on and not slid in or lockable, both my dogs have been able to push it off from the outside in. And the door is XL so it's big enough for a person to crawl through, so there is absolutely no security from a person entering standpoint. Other than that, the door works perfectly well for letting the dogs in and out independently, and keeping the heat/cool outside.Chefblue
This was dribbling enough water into my utility room during storms that I had to disassemble it to figure out where it was leaking. I couldn't find exactly where it was letting water in, so once I got it reassembled, I caulked the heck out of it and it seems to be okay for now. Taking it apart and reinstalling it was a major hassle. Most of the nylon screws either broke or wouldn't fit all the way back through, after numerous attempts. Seems to be poorly engineered. And the door where it was leaking isn't even facing in the usual direction of the wind/rain, so I don't know why it leaked so badly.TS777

My Nephew-in-law and I cooked a 5lb standing rib roast in his Traeger Tailgater. It was his first time cooking that kind of meat in it. It was my first experience with Traeger. The roast came out beautiful! It came out medium well instead of ideal because we had the following challenges. 1. Temperature fluctuated constantly from 5 to 20 degrees below setting. As a result we had to guess our cook time. 2. When we did a therm check on the roast it came out correct but resting cooked it more. For a Choice 5lb standing rib roast we will shorten timing down on our next roast. The flavor and tenderness of the medium well roast was still enjoyable. The next day we cooked hamburgers and hot dogs on the Traeger. Perfect! I was so impressed that I'm retiring my Weber.Wanda
I’ve been looking at some of these reviews and am a shocked at what I’ve seen from a few people. I don’t write reviews on things often but I felt I must here. I own a timberline 850, ranger and just bought a tailgator. All three of these grills perform flawlessly, hold temperature etc… I run these grills 5 days a week for years now and find it unfair when traeger has to defend themselves on the rare negative reviews they have from people who have obviously not contacted the exceptional customer service that traeger offers, which would have certainly resolved any issues before they were basked in their website.
I have owned the Pro 22, the Pro 34 and have added the Tailgater to take with us while camping. The new style of control panel takes a bit getting used to. It is very much different in design and function. We bought the Tailgater at the California State Fair and got a very good deal however, the sales rep told us the Tailgater weighed approximately 45 pounds which I have found out is not accurate at all. This unit is closer to 70 pounds. The way the temperature stick inside is wired with a very long lead seems a bit awkward. I took the bottom panel off and threaded the excess wire down and under and zip tied it in place. Without doing this, the excess wire is just bundled up between the smoker barrel and the pellet hopper. Clunky design. Assembly took about 30-40 minutes.LWMjr
