Dog House Bonney Lake For Sale (2024 Update)

I have been using these large Permate dog houses to house my Nigerian Dwarf goats for many years. They have made "affordable housing" for my goats. I will say that my bucks (boys) are much harder on the houses than the does (girls). Both genders jump on top, but the bucks crack the rain shield by jumping on top of the houses. This happens after a while, not right away. I don't blame the company that makes these because they are intended for dogs, not goats that love to climb! I do wish the tops would be stronger to prevent this problem from happening. Another area to improve design would be for the top to somehow lock on to the base. When my Great Pyrenees (GP) dog goes inside to lay down, the lid can lift/tilt off. The large size is not big enough for a GP. The price keeps going up, and I'm not pleased with having to pay more. I wait until the neighbor club coupon comes out to buy any needed replacement houses. Over the years I've bought countless Permate Large dog houses, so I know these pretty well! My Lab and Australian Shepherd love these large Petmate houses too.Farmer Johns

Looks very nice and hardy but it floods when it rains, I don't know how but the water gets inside and it is too much water. I put a crate pad inside for my outdoor cat to stay warm and went to check on my cat a few hours later after it rained, and the pad was soaking wet not to mention the house was full of water more water than what was outside . The dog house comes in two parts – top and bottom. They do not snap together; the top merely sits on the bottom. No hardware is provided to attach the two and even if there was there are no holes through which one would thread screws or bolts (or whatever) to keep the dog house together. I use these for my goats because these houses are inexpensive but the goats knowingly and regularly have fun pushing up on the exit/entrance hole to "break" the house into two pieces. Yes, I laugh at their antics but I still plan to drill holes and use nuts/bolts to keep the top and bottom together.L McGaffey

These are nice dog houses. They are light weight & don't look like they are very warm, but they actually do a good job, my border collies like these a lot. The extra neck or tunnel entrance is nice to give them some extra protection and privacy. They stand up pretty well to puppies chewing on them to. I recommend this dog house.Iowafarmgal

I mistakenly bought the Large doghouse for dogs up to 90 lbs. But my 5 month old coonhound was too large for it. I returned it and ordered the X-large doghouse and it is the right size. Unfortunately, the doghouse was broken in two places, probably due to the way you ship. These doghouses are delivered without any protection and will crack or break when sliding into anything. I will have to repair it to hold it together since I don't trust you are able to send another one without the same issues.Daniel

I love how you get to write your doll's pet's name on the calk part, which makes it very realist compared to a real doghouse. The food and water bowl part is really cute and I love how it comes with a collar, in case you loose a collar for the pet. I love the balls and chew toys and most of all the dog bone, which is really cute and very realistic, once again.The rope toy is cute, too. I also like the bed a lot, though small, I love how colorful it is. I love the house itself, even though it's pretty small for all the things that the set comes with. From the time we opened this until bed time, my daughter didn’t stop playing with this. She even took it outside with her to play with. It was fun for her to use this with her dogs, and other little animal toys she had. Some pieces are on the smaller side so keep this in mind when buying for younger kids! This dog house is much larger than I thought and for the price totally worth it! OG has added some great thoughtful accessories to this dog house; including the newspaper. I like that you can open the one flap for easier play. This is very helpful for children with younger siblings that want to join in on the play. They can easily access the puppies being placed inside and enjoy the fun. Be careful with younger children as many of the puppy items are small and could be a choking hazard for the hand to mouth little ones. This house can go with any animal set from OG or AG and especially a dollhouse. Great job OG!FunWithAGDolls

It's not extra large, that's for sure. It's a large. My two Berner males at 94-lbs and 120-lbs don't go in because they can barely turn around in it. Nor my 88-lb Pyrenees. The material itself is great. But isn't the point that the dog can get in/out of it so they use it? My smaller 72-lb female uses her Ex-Lg. So is it really the size a medium dog should use? I spent $$ for 5 Extra Lg and 1 dog uses it. Not a happy camper.SCloudcroft

Purchased a second XL house for our two Great Pyrenees because they no longer fit in one together. Our original is over 15 years old and is in great shape. Love the new design with the slight angle that provides more space and blocks the wind. Durable and strong material, yet still lightweight and easy to move.S Ringo

I got this recently on a great sale price… it was half the cost of another dog house that I bought (and returned). The one I ended up returning was designed as an actual house, but cost $100 and the plastic was very flimsy… I felt it wasn't worth the price, and my dog never liked it. I looked online and saw this "dog house" (it's really a crate, IMO); and Petco had the least expensive price, at half the retail cost. I was also able to pick it up the same day at a local store, and received a further discount for picking it up at the store. There's only 2 pieces (a top and a bottom), and the top basically just sits on the bottom, with tabs that are supposed to hold it in place. It's not the most secure, but I don't see this being blown across the yard or anything. The plastic is heavy duty and sturdy… I mean sure, if you live in a tornado or hurricane area, then of course, yes, it'll get toss across the neighborhood; but otherwise, it should stay in place. Great for when you need to leave your pet outside for a while. It's very wide, but not very long though. My dog can curl up in here and he can fit, but he can not stretch out or lay out in this… which is fine, because dogs usually like sleeping curled up and they like snug fitting enclosures to sleep in. My standard size labradoodle fits into it. He uses it to sleep in. This is not something he can stand straight up in or something he can stretch out in… but for sleeping, he loves to curl up in it. I bought it for use outside during the winter or a rainy day, to get out of the cold or rain when I have to put him outside in the yard for a while. We put it inside the house first so that he would get use to it. The one I got said it was for dogs 50-90 lbs., which is the large size. He has no problem getting in and out of this, and he likes it a lot better than the Suncast house shaped doghouse I got him (which I ended up returning). This is plastic, but it's made of heavy duty plastic and it's sturdy; there's only a top and bottom part, and basically the top part sits on the bottom part, with tabs that are supposed to hold the two pieces together. I got it on sale, so I got it for a great price.NYCGalOut

Got these doghouses as an outdoor reprieve from the elements for our 2 Huskies. They are very sturdy and made of solid hard plastic. They've managed to remain dry inside even in a couple of downpours and driving rain. The only time that wasn't the case is when I had one on an uneven patch of grass. So you definitely want to place it on a platform if there's no flat surface. Unfortunately our pups, house dogs that LOVE to go out and play, still haven't embraced the concept of having a private pad "outside." Other than that, it's easy to set up and clean. It has plenty of room for our 70 pounder and is absolutely palatial for the 45 pounder. I got the large size for both since they were so affordable – $44 bucks each! Love the color. First I must let potential buyers know that this does not come with a rechargeable USB as indicated in the description. You must buy AA batteries. However, it feels very comfortable in hand, and the cap doesn't unexpectedly fall off during use. I love the red paw print button design and how this device is big enough for a better grip during use. I see NO use for the automated light though. It's not as a flashlight that scatters around the object; it's more of a straight forward line. I feel like it gets in the way sometimes during natural daylight hours to where there's a shadow towards my pup's nail. I do not understand why someone decided to put it there. LOVE IT! We have two Cavaliers with small nails and two Setters with large nails. Worked beautifully on all! Although not noisy at all, the motor running was still a sound the dogs were unfamiliar with so I let it run while giving them some favorite treats. After a couple times of that, they ignored it with the exception of one of our Setters who's skittish about ALL noises so not surprised by her reaction. Took a couple minutes for me to get used to the feel of using it and the dogs too, but then I was able to finish eat dog quickly and easily! Even our super skittish Setter settled down by the third paw which gives me hope that eventually trimming her nails might not be the battle it's been with regular clippers. The light cannot be rotated to line up with the various holes sizes which was a little disappointing but it's bright enough to shine thru the nail and "double check" how close you're getting to the quick. I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to their next nail trim!!Dog Lover

It's very digestible. I especially like to serve it to my boys when their stomachs are upset. It seems to work as well as cooking up ground beef or turkey meat in a pan. It looks like the specialty food from blue buffalo they make for digestive problems but cheaper. I'm glad I found it. The other was super expensive and only made with chicken. They always love to eat it. I have been giving it to them for years now. Beef, lamb, chicken, and fish are served here also. Beef is their favorite.Theresa

We have been purchasing this food for our dog for about a year now. He was very sick for 9 months with sever coughing that was treated with multiple medications and multiple tests. After starting him on this food and no meds, his coughing improved greatly. It is believed that he has a food allergy and this food was finally the winner! We have purchased all the available cans in our area. We switched to the small breed about 5 days ago thinking it was similar and his coughing has gotten progressively worst. I purchased this dog food a month ago for my three senior dogs. Unfortunately, it's made them sick. At first they were eating it but after about a week, they started throwing up. I wasn't sure it was the dog food until I noticed they didn't want to touch their supper. So I changed everything and they went back to eating. I snuck a small spoonful into their supper again to be sure, and they got sick again and refused to eat. I even spooned out some in their bowls to see if they would eat the wet food if I didn't mix it with their dry food, and they refused. So, evidently it's the Blue Buffalo. The cans expiration dates are for 2023, so it's not that. And when I open a can it smells fine and I keep everything refrigerated, so it's not that. I still have 27 cans.S I R

I bought this as a shelter for when my house dogs were outside. I did not want to spend a lot of money because a) I didn't know if they would use it, and b) I didn't know if they would simply destroy it. The doghouse was slightly damaged in the case, but not enough to warrant the inconvenience of returning it. It is holding up okay, but is not really solid. The roof is held on with just four screws. The sides are thin. If your dogs are determined chewers this is not going to last. If your dogs are primarily kept outside and need a good shelter against the weather, look elsewhere.Gone 2 the dogs

Ordered online and pick up in store which made it so easy since not too many places ship to Hawaii. It was easy to assemble – had my teenage sons do it. I have this on my back porch away from the elements. It's been 6 months and it's still sturdy but I can't get either of my dogs to go INSIDE this dog house. I've made it comfy with dog mats and blankets but they still refuse. I put treats and food inside and that only got the attention of a baby skunk and a opossum (both of which LOVED the house!). My dogs simply use it as a perch to watch over the back yard. Combined they're a little shy of 80 lbs, so the roof holds very well!JaeDean

I had been rigging my dogs summer tent to shelter my stray cat..I fed her, so she’s mine lol…but it just wasn’t cutting it anymore and it is oddly cold this winter here in Alabama. I added a heavy layer of straw, some fleece blankets and she moved right on in! I feel better knowing she is safe, warm, well fed & happy! I used some drop plastic (thick), and duct tape to create a door that would keep the wind & rain out and warmth in! Couldn’t be happier!KimCole

First, for anyone wondering about the size: my polydactyl is 14” tall at the shoulder, 22 inches nose to base of tail. He curls up inside with spare space. He and his adopted brother try to trick each other to get out so they can get in. I’ve ordered another hoping to avoid someone forcibly evicting the other. I’m in the process of moving things out of my library to turn it into a kitty isolation room after one cat gets I-131…I think they’re afraid we’re moving again so really seem to like the comfort of being in a “box”—my regular length somewhat plump (and a little timid) cat is in this all the time (good since it’s going into his isolation room soon). The floor cushion is removable and can be machine washed. The “barn” can be unzipped to lay flat and can be hand washed. All needs to line dry. While I prefer beds I can toss into washer and dryer, it will be worth it to hand wash the outside part for how much they adore this, especially since the cushion is machine washable.Smallestsparrow

We just got ours 2 days ago. It was deklivered by UPS during the aftermath of hurricane Ida. The UPS man needed help unloading it and when I actually got it out of the weather I noticed the box was damaged. Got the wife to come and take pictures of the damage as I unpacked it. It wasn't actually too bad except for the roof being cracked, but not beyond what I can possibly repair. Multiple places there are either screws lost or obvious cracks in the material. I will repair it as well as I can and then trrow a few coats of Epoxy paint on and IN it to protect the wood. The kennal itself was in stock and went together easily. As my pups will be spending only a few hours in it I decided to keep it and repair it. I know there are at leaast 10 screws and bolts missing because the hardware packet was partially opened and some parts had obviously fallen out of the shipping container.Bogey1

I give five stars because for the price I believe it is a nice dog house. Steel framing seems sturdy and it comes with a composite floor that will not rot. I found it easy to put together, but I could see how others may not think it is easy. Parts labeled very well and squared up well on assembly. I recommend putting together on flat concrete and only move after installing after all self tapping srews are in place. Only negative thing I would have to say is that the walls are a little thin for my liking. I feel they could be a little thicker. Also i like how it attaches to the retriever kennel. Other than that, great buy!DoggE

This dog house is a huge waste of money. I plan on returning mine today. First off, the wooden panels are paper thin and the floor will bow under little weight. I'm actually afraid my dog would chew out of the house very quickly. There were some parts of the instructions that didn't say which way smaller parts should be facing, and you would go through all the trouble to put it together then find out that one small part had to be flipped, but the instructions were not clear about some parts. I rebuilt this dog house probably 5 times because parts just didn't fit well at all for some reason. Oh and you DO need a drill because part of it want's you to drill screws through the metal frame because for some reason the holes were not included in the frames? The metal frame is cheap and easily bends under little weight. The only reason I even got this doghouse is because I have the retriever kennel that goes with it. Do yourself a favor and get a better quality dog house or build a good one yourself.James009

We where having a hard time getting our cat into our old kennel with just the front door, he does not like going into the kennel but we had to move and he had to go with us. This kennel with the top door worked perfect. This kennel is made very well and sturdy, my old kennel had clips holding it together that broke and fell off, this one has big screws that you hand tighten that look like they will last a while. This is my second Petmate 2-Door Top-Load Pet Kennel (we added another pet). Anyone who has ever tried to load a non-cooperative Pet in a carrier will find having this top door very helpful. Put them in through top and then let them out the front. Much easier.Deep Creek Tim

I bought this about a month ago and finally used it on my dogs today. It was nice consistency, I used it at its full potency, however next time I will dilute it a little to make the bottle last even longer. The instructions say you can dilute 1 part conditioner to 10 parts water. My frenchie has sensitive skin and this product worked great on him, no issues. He smells nice and clean with the combo of a probiotic shampoo I used and this product. It says it’s fragrance free so any scent is naturally dervivedf from the oatmeal and aloe. I recommendElda P

I don\'t like scented products. Not sure why a dog needs to smell pretty and have to smell it on themselves with those sensitive noses. This shampoo is used daily on my Yorkie\'s paws and her hair by her tail (long and silky). It removed the dirt and grit well and rinses easily. NO chemicals at all. She doesn\'t gnaw at her paws so I know it isn\'t irritating her like other shampoos. It is tearless which is a relief since washing her head is not her favourite thing-I end up soaked sometimes. I am always afraid of damaging her eyes and while this of course needs to be rinsed if it gets in her eyes, I know that the sulfates that can cause cataracts are not in this shampoo.Svelte

I recently adopted a cat from the shelter. As I was having a bath one night, I discovered she loves water! (It was fairly obvious after she jumped into the tub with me and didn't want to leave). I began bathing her with some awful-smelling grocery store products which shall remained unnamed. I had to go to the pet store a few days later and decided to find something hopefully far better than what I had. I was so happy to pick up a bottle of this and have a look at those amazing ingredients! Coco had a bit of dermatitis near her tummy that's now completely gone after just three bathing sessions. The colloidal oatmeal and aloe vera have improved her skin and coat tremendously! Also: the scent is refreshing and not overpowering. Recently, my friends have been asking me what I've done to my hair. My response? "Oh, nothing special." (Yes, Coco has decided to share). ❤ WE LOVE YOUR PRODUCTS! ❤Rachel

We bought this to keep our giant slobbery indoor heckin' chonka watered for a brief getaway, and on the whole it's hit the mark for that. At 4 gallons of water, with an optional activated charcoal filter pack, this thing will keep your dog(s) stocked with tasty water for quite a while (especially if you have smaller breeds). It's now our everyday waterer, and we fill it once or twice a month depending on seasonal weather. It's very easy to clean, with all the parts coming apart easily, and the huge openings mean everything's readily accessible even if you have larger hands. Between the easy cleanability and the use of Microban, I'd be comfortable drinking out of it myself after a fresh cleaning. It's never grown weird things or become discolored or slimy between cleanings. But. The 4-gallon model is also a giant, treacherous, clumsy mess when it comes time to refill it and put it back together. Unlike most of their older models, Petmate decided not to mold a handle into the jug on this one. While this would normally just make things slightly less convenient, this jug is also completely untextured and extremely slippery. If you don't manage to get the jug and your hands COMPLETELY bone dry, it can and will slip out of your hands, dump water all over the floor, and dislodge the carbon filter so you have to jam your arm elbow-deep into now-slightly-less-than-four gallons of water to reassemble everything. This giant, slippery, unmanageable bottle uses Petmate's twist-lock bottle top, so even if you get the bottle inserted on the first try, you often still end up wrestling with 32 pounds of sloshy slippery bulk trying to get it into its proper groove. Or, if you don't notice the bottle is slightly off kilter, the gravity feed never stops flowing and soon once again there's water all over your floor. (But, one the up side, once it's on there even your large dog isn't going to knock the bottle off its perch.) If you don't absolutely positively need the largest model, go for a smaller one. If you do, plan to throw some skate deck grip tape or the like on the bottle, and don't plan on passing refill duty off to your younger kids or smaller partner.C.M.

I purchased the 2.5 gallon gravity waterer. It is used by 1 dog and 2 cats. Problem is the water does not flow into bowl unless I tilt it. I thought the filter was obstructing it so I purchased new filter….Same Problem. Then I removed the filter…..Same Problem. Also my cats keep batting at it to get water and end up knocking the reservoir off the bowl…Flows all over floor!! Now it is past the 30 days so no refund or exchange.available…Really wish I had read reviews first, although many seem happy with the product…….Any suggestions??KRP2022

Got a new Jack Russell and after much review of all water bowl products, I decided on this one because it is strong plastic, has microban and is made in USA (although it never says what things are from overseas). Unfortunately, this water "replenishing" water bowl does not work. Utter failure. The charcoal pack had to be removed completely as the water didnt flow. Still, the water does NOT flow…I have to tip is over myself every single time. When I inspected it closer the bottom of the filter part is completely on the bottom of the bowl. Unless the entire unit is tilted at a 45 degree angle, water does NOT come out. I bought this at Petsmart and i tried to take it back but I missed the return window by 2 days. Now I am stuck with a $27 piece of plastic. I hope this will save someone the time, money and frustration.JID918

Although the carrier was more expensive with Hayneedle, I ordered 2 because they prominently advertised that it was the color Bleached Linen and everyone else was showing a two-tone tan and black. I have 2 in Linen already and wanted 2 more to match. The ones I received were tan and black. The carrier quality is fine and up to the standard of my 2 older ones, but these are not as advertised. To most people, it probably wouldn't matter, but I was disappointed.Laurie

This crate is not safe for a puppy. Our 9 week old pup tried biting on the wire door of the crate and got her teeth caught and could not get off without our help. She was frightened. I removed the door so she can go in and out at will. Maybe it will work when she is bigger. Caution!Laurie

Great kennel. Even better shipping, came to my house in 2 days after ordering. I wouldn't go off of the weight recommendation when purchasing this kennel for your dog- the XL says for dogs 50-70 lbs and my golden is 60 lbs however my golden although being within the weight limit was a tad bit too long for this size. I did take it back to my local Petco to exchange for a slightly larger size (size 40 inches in length) and the store's customer service was phenomenal in helping me with my exchange. Size your dog accordingly with a measuring tape when purchasing the proper kennel size- your dog should be able to sit inside, turn around, and lay down comfortably.Tanya Q

The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I was quite disappointed in the whole experience. Apparently the merchandise was supposed to be checked if the box was damaged and that wasn’t done in this case.Janice

I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09

We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! My dog and I are very happy with the mat. She loves the texture and lies down on it all the time. However, I washed it in cold water and then dried in dryer on medium heat which I normally use to dry towels that I include in the load. After 1-2 washings, the non-skid backing is gone. The mat slides all over the place. I re-read the instructions and it does say low heat. Wondering how medium heat ruined the backing so quickly. I have a "smart" dryer that does not overdry. I would imagine many people dry towels and mats on medium heat, so make sure you read the washing instructions carefully.LeeAnn

I use this by the dog door, and it definitely takes a lot of moisture and debris off of the dog's paws before they hit my hardwood floors. Only issue I have had is in washing it … my front-loader washer will not spin the water out of it … I mean, the rug is still DRIPPING water when my washer says it's done, no matter what cycle I try it on. I finally have to give up and take the dripping rug outside to hang on my deck railing to dry. Inconvenient, but not a deal breaker.Ellen

My door won't open over the high pile on this, but I keep it just beyond the door's swing radius and have my dogs step onto it for a clean-up session when they come in on a wet day. It's very absorbent and the large size is big and fluffy enough to clean up my 2 small/medium dogs in the same session. It's also attractive so I feel okay leaving it out on the floor, whereas I wouldn't want to do that with a towel.Liz
