That said, I did not see that the first time I ordered and was misled by the "Generic for Heartgard" language. In human medicine, generic meds are the same as name brand and I made the (false) assumption this would carry forward. While these do indeed have the same active drug as the name brand, don't be fooled into thinking this is a "flavored" tablet. It's a very hard tab. My dogs usually willingly take medications even without an incentive like a treat. However, with these, it was a massive struggle. No matter what we tried to hide the tablet in, they refused to eat it, and even the old "put it in the back of their throat" trick was a struggle. For a comparison, if you've tried giving your dog Trifexis, it looks just the same. We eventually got these into our dogs, though it was traumatic for all involved. I certainly won't be doing this again. I'm returning the remainder and buying the name brand. The relatively small difference in price simply isn't worth the trauma to my dogs.Brandon

I have been using the cushings gold for just over a month on my dog Max. I share him with a close friend and we have both noticed a big difference. His begging for food and insatiable hunger has subsided. He is not urinating in the house anymore! Max is 10 years old and I lost my previous pomeranian to cushings disease. One cannot underestimate how important that herbals are made with high quality ingredients, correctly and by someone that understands their uses. PetWellBeing is all that. I find their herbals work because they are blended well and made correctly. In using their herbals I have always seen improved results with my dogs. I believe in them and use them in place of medications when I understand fully what is the end goal. My 18 yr old beagle rescue and my 9 yr old ChiWeenie used the LifeGold and DetoxGold with much success. My 18 yr old felt better however, his spine and hind legs finally gave out. All my dogs get the probiotic and GI CleanUp as well. Probiotics 1-2 x/week and the GI CleanUp every other month. I also feed pumpkin to help keep everyone going regular. And given I need added worm detox – I sprinkle a little pumpkin seed powder (homemade) on their foods too. I find this regiment keeps me from having to use the harsh drug chemicals in deworming. I was on the website looking for something to help my elderly chihuahua because I was unhappy with the meds the doctor had given me. You see he was in heart failure, and they always act like they are looking for them to die soon. I didn’t want that . I lost my other one last year, so I ran across this website and it changed my dogs life. Even the doctor said he was doing better. You see I ordered the Heart Health and stop the other meds except for the water pill and my Joshua, that’s his name is improving so much. I adopted my 4 year old Rat Terrier from a local "no-kill" animal shelter, and part of the adoption I paid for him also include a free medical follow-up exam to a local Vet of my choosing. So I made an appointment with a nearby Vet in the neighborhood to establish a medical home for him. While in the shelter he was being Tri-Heart Plus Chewable Tablets which seemed to working well for him and my Vet concurred so we decided to continue with this treatment. The medication seems to be doing an excellent job; however, even though the tablets are supposed to be chewable, my dog does not like the taste of the tablets so he won't eat one when I put it into his mouth but instead allows it to drop out of his mouth on the floor. So I have to wrap the tablet in a small piece of cheese to get my dog to eat his medication. But it is not a big deal; however, the pharmacy making the medication might want to consider making them in more appetising dog flavor.William Milan

Our dog actually takes this medicine so for that reason alone it is worth 5 stars. We battled for nearly a year trying to get our dog to eat another brand of heartworm medicine and nothing worked. NOTHING. She became a master at eating the food around even a tiny piece of the former medicine and would spit the piece back up. Tri-Heart is different. NOW PETS CARDIOVASCULAR SUPPORT GREAT PRODUCT! My cat, who is 10 years old this July, had a heart murmur a year ago which was rated about a 5. Vet said I should take my cat to have an echocardiogram to see how the heart is & what was causing the murmur. My cat had the echocardiogram which turned out fine, no medication was given to her from Dr. who performed the echo. I showed him this bottle of NOW Cardiovascular support, he told me to keep her on it as it is recommended by a vet. He said to come back next year for a recheck. An echocardiogram cost $700. 1 year later I took my cat for her physical, her heart murmur could hardly be heard now. I asked my primary vet if my cat would need another echocardiogram & she said no, the murmur is faint & the report from the Dr. who did her echocardiogram, said that her heart was fine. I took it from my cats. One especially has an issue with the eyes. The orange tabby has a wet eye when he eats. He is very picky so I try to hide the powder in his wet food. Let me say that this helped him a lot especially when given every day. I know that L lysine is very good for viruses. like Herpes virus and EBV. My orange tabby has herpes virus and was pretty sick when he was young. I do not know about the taste but if you have a picky cat like me better hide it in his favourite wet food. It’s very sad to share that we lost our dear Cat due to kidney stone / kidney failure just a few days ago. After receiving this product I quickly added into my cat’s diet after he came back home from hospitalisation. However he slowly lost his appetite until we could not give him any water, food and medication. Just want to share how important it is to give your love pets enough fresh water and not depend on those conventional dry food and wet cans. I had my cat when he was only 3-4 months old 11 years ago. We inherited my mother-in-law's 16-or-so year old cat. He had a history of throwing up but her vet couldn't find anything wrong. After we'd had him for a while he started throwing up more, stopped eating, and became lethargic. Our vet diagnosed liver failure and was not optimistic, but recommended denosyl, which doesn't require a prescription and is relatively cheap. Ever since the cat's been on denosyl, he's been eating like a horse and is much more lively than his age would suggest. I'd recommend this for anyone whose pet has liver problems. It seems to work best when the cat hasn't eaten for at least 4 hours (preferably more) before we give it, then don't feed him for at least an hour after. My dog broke his back just behind his front legs. We opted for home care and eventually chiropractic. The chiropractor recommended Pain Plus. My Jack doesn't mind taking them…BUT…he chooses the dosage! When I see him being stiff I offer a whole one and if he doesn't take it, I break it in half and offer him half. My dog is a rescue, approx. 13 years old & 68 lbs. He has been with us for 10 1/2 years. About two years ago he was diagnosed with Wobblers syndrome. I first wrote a review on this product after only about three weeks, and although his scratching and skin irratation still continued at that point, I stated his coat appeared better. Now after several months have gone by, I need to set the record straight. After about 6 weeks of using Aller G3, my Scottie was noticeably doing less scratching and pulling his hair out, and his coat was really looking better. Now it has been about 5 months, and this is the first summer in years that I have not had to take him to the vet for a cortizone shot. I have two rescue dogs found 2 months apart. One, no matter what I tried, just kept scratching and chewing at their skin. Vet sold me Vetoquinol and said to try this. My 7 year old Scottie has been to the vet for Cortizone shots every year for several years, plus I have used vet reccomended supplements, vet reccomended shampoos, plus every different type of flea and tick prventors, in trying to control his skin itching and hot spots. We changed his dog food to all natural (expensive) dog food, finally started making his food ourselves, trying beef, turkey, chicken, all with no change or relief. He has scratched and pulled his hair out every summer, with nothing helping except for the cortizone shot, and I am reluctant to give that to him, except almost as an emergency. My brother also has a Scottie 150 miles away from me, had the same issues with skin problems, and his vet recommended Aller g3, and he told me it has stopped his dog from itching and scratching. My senior dog's liver values have been elevated due to medications and age. SAMe and Milk Thistle were recommended and we have been using both by Vita Pet Life. My dog likes the taste and eats them as a treat. He's 95lbs so we do have to give 4 tables/day but this brand is still the most economical for a large dog's dosage and it is clearly written on the bottle in the description pictures. Will continue to use as a supplement to combat the negative effects on his liver.Dana

I was hesitant to buy this. I have an 8 year old golden retriever who insists on having to sleep at our bed side and guard the door. My dogs all scratched excessively. After we started usingt salmon oil the scratching has pretty much stopped. My inside cat gets it too. I have a feral cat that used to come in at night to eat. Love this product so much! In just a few days I recognized how shiny and beautiful my little boy's coat was. He's received many compliments already! I am extremely happy with this product. The variety of cat food once offered is no longer available and I have to rotate what I can get. This means that the cats tire of it quickly. By adding a small amount of Vital Pet Life Salmon Oil to their food their appetite is whetted. One of my cats is a 15 year old medium hair cat with a bad case of dry skin and dandruff. My older dog started drinking more water and lost some weight so the vet recommended we try the g/d formula. I'm sure the formula will help, but the kibble is too large for Ollie to chew. He had several teeth out last year and while he has a voracious appetite this is the first time I have had issues with him eating. I have cut this dry food up and mix a few green beans and peas with it to get him to eat it. It would be helpful to have a small dog formula or just make the kibble half the size. Prescribed for our 7 lb chihuahua with kidney disease. The chunks are huge for him as this does not come in a mimi size, and he has bad teeth which they wont fix due to his health. So I ended up soaking the food in warm water ( about 15 minutes) until I can break it up with a fork. He wont eat it alone so after trial n error I figured out if I add a teaspoon or more of Casar soft food and add a small amount of water to mix it REALLY well, he will eat it. If I dont mix it well, he hunts through and picks out the Casar and walks away. The nibbles swell up quite a bit so I give half in am and half in pm. We have two dogs, a husky and a Rottie, they both have the absolute worst breath so I am so thankful that I purchased these. They have helped. Both of my dogs love to eat them which is a huge plus because I've tried other kinds that they wouldn't even touch. Their teeth, in general, look so much better and their breath is much better. It doesn't make it smell great, but its a huge difference from what it did smell like so I'm not complaining one bit! If you want to jeopardize your dog having seizures and kidney failure then use this product. Our 15 year old Dachshund drank this for a month and starting having seizures, muscle weakness, not eating, and the beginning stages of kidney failure. As soon as we took him off this water and gave him fresh water he has made a 100% turn around. Do not use this product! We almost lost our baby! Yes, I have proof. Our dog has suffered from stinky breath forever even though she gets her regular vet cleanings, and we were using another tooth treatment. She’s a beagle / shitzu / pug mix, so she is already genetically doomed in the tooth area anyway, so I’ve always been concerned with her dental health and worried about it leading to other health issues. When I saw this, I was skeptical she wouldn’t notice it in her water. With that beagle nose, she sniffs out even the best tricks I try to pull, but she hasn’t noticed it yet, and the vet recently commented on how amazing we are doing with her teeth. I told her it is simply a matter of adding a cap full of the solution to her water every morning (I keep it by the sink since the bottle is small enough and doesn’t stick out, so I don’t forget.) and trust it is doing its thing. She told us to keep doing what we are doing and said she would check it out. So I have some reservations about this product. If you search other reviews across the internet, you get insane reports about this potentially causing seizures /epileptic episodes, wasting away, eye problems, all kinds of crazy stuff. However, it also does have a fair amount of people preaching that it's legit. The potential side effects are SEVERE, and it doesn't seem like the brand has done much to mitigate those cases or fears?? Knowing all that, I chose to use this for my cat with extreme caution. He gets stinky breath from whenever he eats fish based products (extreme common for cats) but the reason why I'm willing to take any of those risks is because it honestly reminds me of Accutane. I've never had to use Accutane myself, but I know that 1) It's a last resort 2) It is practically guaranteed to work 3) Side effects range from IBS to infertility /severe birth defects. So… my cat's halitosis isn't that severe to illicit the full dose. I use roughly half to a third of the recommended amount in his water fountain (which I highly recommend getting if you don't have one). So at a very low dose, his bad breath has indeed been kept at bay and I monitor his status very closely. This product works, I just strongly recommend using the lowest effective dose (just like with any human medication) and if your pet's breath is so dang stanky you feel like they need the full dose, I highly recommend exhausting all your other options first / supplementing with proper hand toothbrushing / diet changes.
