About 6 months ago, my cat, who has feline leukemia, stopped eating, was constantly vomiting, sleeping, and cringed whenever I touched her. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Tri-Heart is the same ingredients as Heart Guard but at a much more reasonable price. My dogs don't hesitate to take it with their bowl of food each month. They do get a little looser poops for the next 12 hours, but I haven't noticed any other side effects. The Heart Guard causes that for them as well.TamE
Let me lead with saying that after I came back here to look closer, yes, the website does indeed say these are tablets and not chewables. That said, I did not see that the first time I ordered and was misled by the "Generic for Heartgard" language. In human medicine, generic meds are the same as name brand and I made the (false) assumption this would carry forward. While these do indeed have the same active drug as the name brand, don't be fooled into thinking this is a "flavored" tablet. It's a very hard tab. My dogs usually willingly take medications even without an incentive like a treat. However, with these, it was a massive struggle. No matter what we tried to hide the tablet in, they refused to eat it, and even the old "put it in the back of their throat" trick was a struggle. For a comparison, if you've tried giving your dog Trifexis, it looks just the same. We eventually got these into our dogs, though it was traumatic for all involved. I certainly won't be doing this again. I'm returning the remainder and buying the name brand. The relatively small difference in price simply isn't worth the trauma to my dogs.Brandon

One cannot underestimate how important that herbals are made with high quality ingredients, correctly and by someone that understands their uses. PetWellBeing is all that. I find their herbals work because they are blended well and made correctly. In using their herbals I have always seen improved results with my dogs. I believe in them and use them in place of medications when I understand fully what is the end goal. My 18 yr old beagle rescue and my 9 yr old ChiWeenie used the LifeGold and DetoxGold with much success. My 18 yr old felt better however, his spine and hind legs finally gave out. We mainly use the product for calming purposes for our three dogs. We have a 3y8m old 67 pound German Wirehaired Pointer, a 3y5m old 55 pound Small Standard Goldendoodle, and a 1y3m old 16.5 pound Havapoo. The dental cleaning aspect is an added bonus. We don't give daily. We give two to the bigger dogs, and one to the smaller one, and they seem to calm the house just enough. These aren't a magic fix-all, but, for us, it helps our pups relax enough when they are worked up over something. They also smell nice compared to other dental treats out there. What we don't like is that they are too easy for my bigger dogs to eat. So if you are getting them to help with teeth cleaning, your dog might eat them too quickly and not benefit from chewing on it.
My dogs love them! I have 2 large dogs (155 lbs & 130 lbs) so I wish the sticks were bigger, but they just love them as a tasty, little snack. If I give them more than one treat, they always choose the calming dog chews first. I think it's even helped with their doggie breath too. I'm sure it helps with calming, but since I just give them one and because of their size, I'm sure they would need more for it to be really effective. My male cockapoo had started scratching and biting at his skin about a few months ago , it got so bad to the point where he wouldn’t stop until his skin was completely raw and bleeding and we had to keep a cone on him at all times. My standard poodle suffers from outdoor allergies. After battling them all summer the vet just said to double up on benadryl. I felt like I was drugging my dog. I saw an ad for these chews and thought it would be a better option to at least give it a try. My boy wasn't sure about the taste the first day and I had to wrap it in cheese. The second day, and every day since, he's gobbled it right down just like a treat! To test the results I totally stopped the benadryl and only gave him these chews. He only showed minor symptoms a couple of different occassions in which I went ahead and gave him a single dose of bendryl as needed. Wow is right, because I am floored at how well this works! I have 2 pups with horrible allergies – one that nothing else works for. I've tried all different meds, including shots, and she still suffered horribly during allergy season. I reluctantly decided to try this, but we were in the middle of allergy season, and watching her suffer is just too much. Fast forward to July 2019, and my order came in the mail.
