I receive the item and the box was in good condition. Upon opening the item there were 8 pieces. 4 walls, the top and 3 pieces that make up the floor. 3 of the 4 walls were split by screws that were inserted on the pre-fabricated panels. I took pieces and sent them to customer service. I believe this was done before being boxed up to ship. Although I was offered a discount for the damaged item I don't believe it would last as the floor did not attach but rested on the ledge of the sides. When my dog stepped into the dog house the first time 1 of the 3 pieces that make up the floor flipped up. It is nice looking but the wood is very cheap. I would not recommend buying.Unhappy Customer

I expected better of this outdoor doghouse, especially for the price. It is made of "fir wood" which isn't a hardwood at all. Pine would have been sturdier. Assembly was easy but the house itself flimsy, with several of the pre-fab section not even nailed or glued together, and some pieces with parts of the wood broken off. Even in the "giant" size it was barely large enough for a 90lb GSD. The feet were plastic and the floor slated wood were the elements can creep through. This house is advertised as ideal for outdoor use – but I wouldn't trust it during a New England winter. It was sent back immediately. I would NOT recommend this manufacturer for outdoor dog houses. For less money you could build a better one out of more durable wood.Razor

I just opened my Small size Precision Pet Extreme Log Cabin doghouse today to assemble. It looks like it will assemble pretty well, although one of the sides is 3/16" out of square. Because the panels are firmly glued and screwed together it will require some adjustment/trimming to assemble correctly instead of attempting to break the glue joints and true it up. Obviously a rush job by the factory in Wuhan. The roof shingles do appear to be very well sealed and bonded together, however there are a few spots on the edges of the composition shingles on the roof where bare wood can be seen at the edges, which would allow water to get into the roof frame, so those spots will have to be sealed. The three piece floor has 1/8" gaps between the slats, so if you want the animal occupying the box to be comfortable when it is cold and windy, you will have to do some modification to the floor, which I plan on doing. The statement that the box is waterproof and weather resistant is a stretch. The stain/preservative used on all of the wood surface is so thin that pouring any water at all on the wood surface disappears as the wood instantly absorbs it. I will not put the box in service until at least 2 coats of a high quality exterior grade paint/stain is applied. If you try and use this box without putting a proper preservative coat on it, you might get one year of use out of it before it rots or suffers UV damage and cracks and splits. This doghouse is being re-purposed by me to be a Barn Owl nest box; the dimensions are almost perfect and as soon as I saw it I realized that it could be used for quick installation during the brief annual window between December to January during which Barn Owls are NOT in their box. All I really have to do is put an insert into the door to reduce the opening size, add a perch/balcony outside the opening, fix the floor, and of course, properly seal the wood so that it will last more than one season. My primary reason for paying the extra money for the "EXTREME" model was the feature description that said: Its stainless steel hardware also adds to its sturdiness. THIS IS A LIE! THE HARDWARE SUPPLIED IS NOT STAINLESS STEEL, so this is my major gripe. My guess is that China figures that most Americans can't tell the difference between stainless and non-stainless steel. I'm a retired engineer, and you can almost always identify stainless/non-stainless steel by its color and appearance, although the surefire test is with a magnet. Regular steel will be strongly attracted by a magnet, if it is stainless steel, you might get a very slight attraction. This stuff is definitely normal steel with maybe a thin coat of zinc – not stainless steel. I’m using this as s duck house for six ducks. Not hard to put together, you’ll need Phillips and pliers or wrench, instructions are not the best. Made of less dense version of pine. Roof is hinged and floor comes out in the parts for clean up. I like it.Redeyenc

Beautiful dog houses, but…. thin walled and are not insulated or double walled as noted in advertisement. I bought 3 ex large and one is already tore to pieces. Of note, the dog who's doghouse had a previous older wood doghouse and has lasted for 2 years, just to demonstrate that it is not solely due to dog. Very disappointed.cena222

The dog house (which is being used for a feral cat), arrived quickly and was pretty easy to assemble. It is sturdy enough for our uses, which included putting a smaller insulated cat container in one side of the house and food/water dishes near the entrance. Having the roof lift makes adjustments and cleaning easy. I'm not sure how well this would work for a larger, energetic dog, but it does for us.NDCat

I use these for my ducks and they are wonderful. Sturdy, easy setup, and easy to clean with the release valve. I surround them with pavers for extra reinforcement and have never had an issue.vegaslilqt

Sturdy, Functional wood. Instructions not clear so had to just use personal knowledge. Paint is matte like chalkboard paint, assumed it would have more of a sheen to it, but it still works so I overlook it. First week using it and so far it's been great. It definitely helps with having somewhere our pets can go that they can't get into things.Christy

I recently bought this book in anticipation of being able to do some serious traveling with my furry, four-legged Best Friend, Missie. Our beagle has been my sole and soul support while caring for my Mom, in hospice at home with us. The book has detailed information in a wide variety of situations including hotels, camping, or just being together. I wish it had smaller sites and reviews within the states it presents, but it does give excellent tips and references to the questions and areas it doesn’t cover. For anyone who loves to travel with their pet being part of the experience, this book is a great addition to caring for your pet who loves unconditionally.LadyJay05

Best purchase ever. To train my puppy to use this I collected some of his urine and placed it on the mat for him to smell. Immediately he used the pet loo. I don't bother with the Pee sponge. I have this in the spare second shower where I can empty container straight into the toilet and hose down the mat for cleaning. Best to buy a second mat to swap over when thorough clean neededTracy

I wasn't looking for the petloo at all as I thought it would not serve my purpose which was to introduce 5 week old puppies to basic toilet training. Luckily the lady that served me was a breeder and told me she used the petloo from 3-4 weeks of age. Although very hesitant at first due to the cost, I decided to give it a go and it has been a lifesaver! The puppies took no time at all adjusting to the petloo and the whelping area that usually resembled a Jackson Pollock painting every morning is now literally a 3 minute cleanup! I highly recommend it for litter training. Weh the pups are young, use turf only with a peepad. When pups are able to climb, introduce the base. Took 1 star off due to flimsy clips that hold the turf in place. I can see this being a problem for larger rambunctious puppies who might chew them and dislodge the turf.ellyD

I bought this for my 8 week old French Bulldog and it has been a fantastic addition. We live in the city and were cautioned against taking him to public areas for potty breaks until he has completed his vaccinations. We keep the potty loo on our back deck and he goes right up to the slide door when he is ready to use it. He has used it consistently since the first night we brought it home for both #1 and #2, with very few indoor accidents since then. It may help that the breeder started setting the puppies on grass to potty around 7 weeks of age. We use the Wee powder and trays provided, and wash it with dish soap and water once a week. We also splurged for the K9 Grass as suggested by another customer and don't have any complaints related to smells.Philly Puppy

I will say when I was looking for a duck house I spent countless hours looking for the perfect option. Florida weather and sun does wonders to things outside. I came across this house and it just stood out. When it arrived and I was dreading assembling because let’s be real directions suck! Their directions were actually awesome and the build was a breeze! However our poor ducks only got to enjoy this for a couple weeks before we had the worst Hurricane in history make landfall right through our backyard! Our ducks coop was destroyed when a tree landed on it. I was devastated their brand new house was all in the mangled mess. However upon inspections in the aftermath of the hurricane I would say this house was more solid than our own. It withstood a Cat 4 pushing Cat5 Hurricane with what appears as to be minimal damage. Heck the duck house roof held on better than our own house did! The duck house has a couple shingles that came off and the front porch ripped off but the outter shell held tight! 10/10 recommend this house for any outdoor need! I will however have to purchase a new one to give this home it’s full potential it originally had in our coop!Jessica

Good sturdy dog ladder. However, this dog ladder is made for a duck boat or Jon boat. I made a bracket to mount it to a pontoon boat. Lots of lake enthusiasts were interested in mounting it to their pontoon boat as well. Someone needs to tell the company who makes the dog ladder to make the bracket to mount it to a pontoon boat and try would sell a lot more and help a lot of people enjoy the lake with their pets. Ask me and I send the pictures of how I mounted it.DarrelS

I am unhappy with this product. My dog goes around it when getting into the boat. Its small, unsturdy and made with light gauge material. This may work for a 20-30 pound dog, but too small / weak for any typical lab. I need to find time to return this…utahhunting

After I took the cot out of the box, I set it up inside in front of some large windows where I know my dog likes to sun himself. He was not sure what to make of it but I invited him up on it and the rest is history. He know uses it daily. It's plenty big to stretch out on and he acts like he is the king from high on his "perch". I am looking forward to using this outside when it warms up because the elevated bed should keep my dog cooler (with the air flow under it) but meanwhile it is making a nice spot inside the house. I bought this last summer for my senior dog, thinking it would be easier on his joints and also keep him cooler when he was resting on the back porch. It took some muscle, but I was able to put it together as directed without any tools. He didn't use it a lot, but I was pleased to see him on it occasionally, when it was particularly hot or cold outside. But yesterday the plastic piece that connects the side edge to the middle support leg sheared off. So after about 9 months of very light use, it is broken and unfixable. We adopted a dog who is a nervous guy and not food motivated. He would bark at people walking by our house and wouldn’t come when he was called. I used this collar to train him and only had to use the static stimulation twice on the lowest setting and now just use the tone. Four months ago we picked up a 3 year old yellow lab at a shelter near Denver. The dog is lovable, has had some hunting experience, but was WILD when we got him. It was necessary to keep him tethered at all times, or he was GONE for 20 minutes pursuing some scent in the nearby forest (we back up to public land). I purchased this device in the hopes I could control him. To my surprise I discovered he must have had some time with a similar device. He instantly responded to the Tone/Vibration mode. When he would start to take off, one tap on that mode made him instantly come back. Only if he chased a deer on hikes did I have to "tingle" him a little. He would immediately drop the chase. Now I can take a hike with him in the forest, without a leash, & he stays right with me, if wearing the collar.mstar5

I bought the sport dog 425x for my lab a few months ago & loved it but it recently fell off him while we were walking on a trail and I was never able to find it. For the money it costs, I don’t think it should fall off that easily. I then bought the 825x, but I’m not sure I recommend this collar for extremely active dogs.esport dog collar

I received three Portfolio Pet (PP) images from a dear friend (one of each of my dog – of whom, two have now passed….making the keepsakes even more treasured). We wanted to get a gift for our client, who posts photos of his dogs on his Instagram, so we screenshot the photo and sent it in to PP, who did a great job. The item comes well wrapped in a sturdy box. We gift wrapped it at home and just shipped it out today to the client, with a card attached. Last year we gave him a reMarkable tablet ($400). We were happy to spend what was needed this year, but could not come up with a meaningful gift idea. We are certain the client will love this gift as much, if not more, than his more expensive gift last year.
