We took our cat to the vet after he woke me up in the early morning howling in pain trying to urinate in the litter box. We discovered he had a UTI and his bladder was very inflamed and full of struvite stones. An overnight stay at the vet and a midnight run to the emergency vet for fear of stones or crystals for our cat who was diagnosed with FLUTD since he was a kitten, and being told each visit that it was just chronic inflammation (a frustrating but common side effect of FLUTD) and there wasnt much the vets could do other than pain meds and anti inflammatories. Needless to say we were ready to try some additional preventative care and heard good things about this product. Its been 2 months now of adding the tonic to our cat's prescription wet food and so far so good. He doesn't notice or seem to mind the taste, no adverse effects of adding the recommended dose to his diet and best of all hes been happy and healthy. I wouldn't recommend this as a treatment option (vets are a must) but would for those looking for additional preventative measures, especially for cats with chronic inflammation associated with FLUTD.Pincurlgirl

Seems to really help. It doesn't take much, either. I only give my cats 3 drops per day, and that seems to be enough to keep things flowing the way they should. One of my males had a problem when I introduced a new cat into the household, he wasn't stopped up, but did start holding it in and that caused inflammation. After a vet visit and meds from the vet to help him through the initial problems, this has helped keep him from holding it in again. It won't work miracles, if a cat, especially a boy, doesn't urinate for a period of 24 – 48 hours, take him in to the vet to make sure there's no blockage since that can very quickly become life-threatening, but this is good for maintaining things in working order.ageek33k

My 10 year old cat was literally dying because she could not eat and was getting too weak to drink. She was getting palliative, hospice type care but I didn't want her to starve to death. I take care of feral cats and I Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) them in order to decrease the cat population in my neighborhood. When spaying a female cat, you have to keep them for at least 4 days for them to appropriately heal and have the affects of the anesthesia to wear off completely. One of the ferals that I trapped was a skin-and-bones female that was really too young to be having the kitten she was towing around with her. So I trapped her and her only surviving female kitten, had them both fixed and proceeded to "Fatten them up" and have them heal completely. "Under the Weather" Ready-Cal was the perfect supplement to give to both mamma and baby while they healed. I kept mamma in my care for one month because she was so pathetically thin. In that month, Mamma's coat changed from a rusty brown to a glossy black. She gained weight to where you could no longer feel her ribs poking through her fur. She did not like indoor life AT ALL and could not be socialized or handled, so she was released back to her outdoor home. I continue to feed Mamma every day, even built her an outdoor heated shelter in my fenced in yard. She is very content now. She now loves people, but cannot be picked up off the ground or lifted, but allows petting and head scratches. As for her kitten, she socialized very well, is awesome at vet visits and handling, and doubled in size very quickly because of the added Ready-Cal supplement and gained weight at a rate of 1lb/month. Her blood work came back from the vet as perfect. She was de-wormed, de-fleaed, and now is added to our family as a "foster-fail" which means that she is just too stinking cute to adopt out, so I kept her as part of our family. Under the Weather "Ready-Cal" is now expected on their food during all feedings. If I put their wet food down without the Ready-CAL supplement they sniff it as something is not quite right with the food. Once I apply it to the food, they lick the brown calorie-dense "goop" (as my husband calls it) off the top of the food first, then they dig into and eat the rest. I do not feel that the kitten and Mamma cat would have recovered so fully and have such good health now if it was not for the Ready-Cal supplement. I continue to give Mamma cat the supplement every day because she is an outdoor cat, and they burn more calories being outside. Please keep in mind that this is a holistic product. Much like humans, every dog is different and some are completely unaffected by natural medication. On the other hand, for some dogs it's a miracle worker. I have a 5 year old pug who spent the first 2 years of her life in a puppy mill. Then, the mill discarded her along with a few others at their nearest shelter. The shelter was full, so she was placed on "the list" .. Meanwhile, they contacted a rescue an hour or two away who took her in. Then I got her. She has the typical behavior of a puppy mill dog – even three years after getting out. She's a happy, sweet girl but is overly anxious, hyperactive and still not use to physical touch. She doesn't kiss, she isn't affectionate (at least not in the ways dogs normally are) and she is easily triggered and overly stimulated. She has a hard time relaxing, paces frequently and will run back and forth through my main hallway chasing imaginary cars. She honestly COULD probably be medicated by a vet, but I'm not a big fan of modern medicine for the most part unless it's absolutely, 100% needed. I always try holistics first. This product DOES actually work pretty well for my dog. It doesn't calm her completely but it does calm her some. I feel she is able to actually fully relax on this product, which is nice. However, the packaging isn't wonderful. No matter how you manipulate the bottle and dropper, you can only get about .8mL out, despite them recommending a full 1mL dropped (unless your pup is under 10lbs). Also, considering that my dog has some "autistic" characteristics, having to hold her down to give her this multiple times a day forces her to become even more stressed. So, I consider that another flaw. I am going to try to put it on her twice daily meals from now on and see what happens. Overall, I WOULD recommend this to people because the actual product does improve my dogs overall behavior. It's definitely worth a shot.THSx2009

I bought this product to use on both my puppy and my cat who I will be taking on an upcoming road trip. As many of the other reviews mention, the dosage is 1 dropper full for every ten pounds. For my 30 pound pup, this means three full droppers. She's a pretty patient girl, but this is a pretty annoying process to have to repeat three times and she was definitely getting antsy. Getting my 15 pound cat to open her mouth is difficult enough, and once she smelled the product, she started shaking her head and trying to get away, so we ended up with some of one dropper in her mouth and some on her coat and there was no way she was letting me give her another half of a dropper. On top of that, she almost immediately threw up, so it's pretty impossible to know if any actually went down. However, at just over an hour after, when I was ready to say this had been a complete failure, both girls calmed down and settled in for naps. Cats and puppies are both notorious nappers, so its hard to know for sure that this was the reason, but I think it's very possible that this product does work if you can actually get your pet to take it.Jen La

As my dog has only been on Angel Eyes for less than 3 weeks it is hard for me, at this time, to review this product. I have not seen a difference yet, but I use it daily and expect it may take up to a month or more before I see results. I will give it the entire bottle to see if the results advertised become become the result I want. I can tell you that my dog seems to like it very much and licks the bottom of her bowl to make sure she hasn't missed any. For those of you scratching your head wondering why Angel Eyes is no longer working, the news isn't good. I have a Pomapoo and a Bichon and the original wipes worked like a miracle and my four-legged babies had clean eyes always. Then the change happened. The miracle ingredient was removed about three years ago. I have tried many products and nothing works as well for my dogs. I'm glad that some of you still find some various forms of the product to your standards. Currently I use a fragrance free lotion, careful to put just a thin coating on the stain, rubbing it in gently to soften the hard crusty eye secretions and as it softens, gently use a small pet brush or fingers depending what works best for you and your pet. I also make a paste out baking soda and use a childs toothbrush and wash they stains, careful to keep it out of their eyes. Just my two cents. Use at your own discretion. I have been using this on My Maltese for many years, used to have antibiotic in it which I believed was the active ingredient that was working, and you had to get it from the U.S. Due to U.K. laws on this without prescription. The new version easily available in he U.K. is now just as affective and you can see it start to dry up the runny eyes in about 5 days of starting it. Keep using it until has totally dried the eyes and you don't need to keep using it. one level mustard spoon size amount on there dinner or on the tongue. I have been told pink staining is a fungal infection that can spread from eye to the mouth causing the whole face to be pink or black stained.
