First, the best parts: This harness works great! Rufus (catahoula leopard hound/mix) does not pull AT ALL anymore and he seemed to "get the idea" all on his own with little to know training . . . it is almost as if being led from the front j ust instantly changed his mentality. I have always been able to walk Rosie (American foxhound) like a puppy on a string and sometimes almost had to pull her (laziest foxhound anywhere) so it is also nice with her to not be pulling her by the neck . . . she plods happily along. It's easy to adjust, easy to put on, easy to take off, looks very nice, holds up well, does not chafe. Here is where there is room for improvement: as noted in some other reviews, the sizing is off, but what I noticed is a bit different . . . both dogs measure very close to the middle for the size I ordered (medium) but all of the straps had to be adjusted to the tightest it would go in order to fit and it still seems a bit loose around the FRONT. I tried turning it upside down as noted by the company in response to some of the reviews, but it seemed to fit almost the same. So you may want to order a size smaller or call the company before ordering to be sure that it is going to fit. The other thing I am not fond of is that the buckles seem to be right at the armpits and that bothers me probably more than it bothers the dogs. However, here is another upside! When my (adult) son accidentally put the harness on the dog incorrectly, we found that it can also be used with the D-ring on the back instead of the front (at least on these breeds) and it works beautifully, so if you want the leash to attach to the dog's back rather than to the front, it's sort of a "bonus" use of the harness. Rosie (the easy walker) seems to prefer this Other than the sizing issue (which is probably also the issue with where the buckle falls), I LOVE this harness and it has truly "turned my dog around . . . The chest adjustment is at its loosest, but the chest/belly straps are almost maxed out on tightness, so I couldn't size up to make it better fit my 50lb lab/chow mix. The chest strap also slips down with extreme pulling, which fortunately for my pup isn't super frequent, but it has tripped him once. I think the instructions say that the chest straps should be tightened if this happens, but they also say that the harness should be a T shape, and if I tighten the chest strap, it definitely pulls behind his front legs. I bought this 2 weeks ago. My standard poodle puppy (8 months old) would jerk so hard on his leash when he saw another dog on our walks that I would practically get pulled off my feet. Bought this harness when I (and family) adopted our new retriever mix and were required to get a martingale harness as part of the adoption agreement. We've had him for just over two weeks now and I’m disappointed to discover that the straps of the harness we bought then have frayed dramatically at several points in such a short time; including one point at which a key strap is holding on by just a few threads! It seemed to fit relatively well during the time we have been using it. I’ve seen discussion that this kind of thing starts with a nick in the side of the strap, that must somehow have been caused by the dog chewing and/or scratching. As part of our work to train our dog, we’ve been very aware of his overall behavior, especially when going for walks. He’s not a puppy and never actively scratched or bit at the harness to our knowledge but, of course, it’s not impossible that this might have happened once or twice. My Luna is a 2yr old black lab-pitbull mix. She's husky, friendly, and a puller when she's on a lead. Having a harness that helps with the pulling is a blessing. I bought this harness about a month or so ago for my Plotthound Lab Mix! This harness is a very great quality harness and my dog is comfortable and happy in it! He is a working dog so this harness is great for when we are on the move or running! I have been using the EasySport Medium Harness for about a month now. I live by the Dunes on Lake Michigan and take our puppy there several times a week. She is about forty five pounds and has quite a bit of energy. When first trying this on her I noticed I was able to loosen the straps. It was very easy and took seconds to loosen. The fit was perfect and she seemed very comfortable. I noticed the straps were thicker and when she pulled, I wasn’t worried the straps would break. While walking through the dunes, some of the pathways can be very narrow. I am training her to stay at my side while other hikers walk by. Having that strap at the top has made it even easier to train her to stay. Now all I have to do is tap the top and she knows to sit. The convenience of the strap and the padding added for comfort are two huge added bonuses for us. Our puppy is very active and while walking her in public I need to trust that I have the best products. I need to be able to rely on our leashes and harnesses so we can enjoy our walks with no worries. This harness has been fantastic. As I previously stated I bought two of these harnesses in two different sizes. A small and a medium as I was not sure which would work. The small is a great fit for my 13 lb Shih Tzu. But this is summer and she is shaved down. I am going to use the medium size for winter to go over her sweaters and coats. I would recommend this harness to anyone. Love the double rings on the neck. The double snap buckles make putting it on a breeze and the 5 areas to adjust are great! This is especially true when you have a broad chested dog…the chest strap on most harnesses is too short and that causes the side straps to rub on the dogs front legs. This harness is beyond reasonable in pricing….far far cheaper than most pet store harnesses and far better made. This harness was recommended to me. It's being used on a rottie for tracking. The person who recommended it has used one for years and it still looks like new. As mentioned, based on the construction I think this will last a good long time. Shipping is extremely reasonable. It is also possible to clip the leash to the front of the harness. A second lead can be connected to the hook on the back for a really strong puller. I like this harness better than the "Easy Walk" because it can be fitted better and quicker. Unlike the "Easy Walk" a dog can not slip out of it if they pull away from you. You also don't have to attach it to the regular collar as a back up if your dog slips out of it. I think it also fits better behind the front legs.Betty

I chose the Walk About Harness and a matching leash to use for my dog’s “working gear”. I’m training him to be a registered therapy dog and it was suggested that he have different gear for this. We call it his working gear so he knows the difference when I put the Kurgo harness and leash on instead of his nonworking harness and leash. He quickly learned the difference and it has helped immensely with his training.
Doesn’t hold up well to daily use; the metal strap adjusters cut into the straps with daily wear and I’ve already noticed tears in the straps where the adjusters are. This harness has been the first I’ve found that enables me to adjust it to fit my dog’s narrow front chest however it does not appear to hold up well to daily use. I would not purchase again since it appears the straps will tear and fall apart in a couple months.ShannonC
I really like that this has a front and back clip so we don't have to change out harnesses for walking and car rides. And there's a lot of room for adjusting the size, including the chest. Our golden has a narrow chest/shoulders and other no-pull harnesses would have a pretty big gap that would hang down. The only thing I'd say to watch out for is make sure the adjustable hooks on the chest piece are locked in place after sizing. One did slip out of place (while my dog was rolling around) but, the harness didn't like fall off or anything. And it hasn't happened since, so I think it was more owner error than anything else. Bought this harness when I (and family) adopted our new retriever mix and were required to get a martingale harness as part of the adoption agreement. We've had him for just over two weeks now and I’m disappointed to discover that the straps of the harness we bought then have frayed dramatically at several points in such a short time; including one point at which a key strap is holding on by just a few threads! It seemed to fit relatively well during the time we have been using it. I’ve seen discussion that this kind of thing starts with a nick in the side of the strap, that must somehow have been caused by the dog chewing and/or scratching. As part of our work to train our dog, we’ve been very aware of his overall behavior, especially when going for walks. He’s not a puppy and never actively scratched or bit at the harness to our knowledge but, of course, it’s not impossible that this might have happened once or twice. My Luna is a 2yr old black lab-pitbull mix. She's husky, friendly, and a puller when she's on a lead. Having a harness that helps with the pulling is a blessing. She loves going on walks but will drag you down the sidewalk. Since using the easy walk harness regularly, she has much better behaved. The easy walk harness goes around her chest and back and has a leash attachment on the front. My dog is a yorkie mix, 11 pounds. Based on his measurements I ordered a small harness, however, while the neck strap was the right size, the chest strap was too tight. He must be right at 18” where this harness hits on his rib cage. I returned it for the medium. This one the is too loose and cannot be tightened enough to be comfortable. The chest piece is pretty bulky and sags between his legs, making walking uncomfortable. His frame is definitely better suited for the small size. It’s a shame there isn’t a little bit of overlap in the length of the straps as I really liked the features of this harness and it is good quality. Unfortunately I can’t return the harness because I removed the tags before realizing the larger size wouldn’t work.
I previously bought, The Everything Harness Water-Resistant, Splatter Design, Which I love! I also have the matching Fanny Pack! I had been looking for a soft harness for our adopted senior English Cocker Spaniel, something that would give her totally freedom in her shoulders and not mat her lovely fur. Favorite things its super soft, flexible, washable, fits comfortably, stylish, does not mat her fur, not a step in harness, and allows her totally room to zoom with her shoulders. Cons it runs a tad bit small my lass is on the more petite side of English Cocker spaniels, at about 27 pounds I got her a medium and when adjusted it fits her quiet comfortably but if you Cocker was any larger say 30-35 lbs I would definitely get a large harness. I love the back leash clip haven't used the front clip as she is a lady on walks. That being said this is not super heavy duty so if you have a really strong puller I don't know if would hold up for a long time but my lass is gentle so I expect it to hold up very well. It is very difficult to purchase a properly fitting harness for my dog. He is not broad shouldered and has a long, somewhat narrow torso relative to his overall size. I decided to follow the sizing chart and it fits him very well. The harness is a bit lower profile than others he has had previously, but it's easily the best fitting one he's had to this point.

I have a Dachshund who has a shallow chest and I couldn't find a harness she couldn't walk out of. Nicely made and dog can't back out if properly fitted. Sizing is a bit weird. My chihuahua mix and fox terrier wear the same size, but my rat terrier wears the next size up. Neck size is important. The girth size has more flexibility. Good for dogs that don't pull too hard and the handle is nice to grab a dog. Not to be worn full time, but for an escape artist it would be good for day time wear. My dogs are between 10 and 25 lbs. Very handy overall.TBHorseowner

Bought the large for my pitbull, however it was a bit big on him even when I adjusted it to the tightest posible. He pulls quite a bit and would choke himself if I hooked the leash to his collar, but this harness stopped quite a bit of his pulling and did not choke him at all. After a few months I made the mistake like I have other nights, and left the harness on him. Woke up to find it chewed to pieces. I bought the small harness for my excitable 2 year old cockapoo. The product was very easy to put on him, and it appeared to make him feel more secure during the car journey. The only problem I have encountered is with regards to the removing of the harness over his head due to the neck size. A logistical approach is required by ensuring his ears are through before pulling the harness over his head. Otherwise, it is a good fit, and keeps him safe.Mitch
This is a really cute toy, and our 12-week-old puppy loved it! The problem is, however, that she was able to detach little hunks of the loofah material from the center of the starfish within just a few sessions. The label warns of this, so we watched and threw away the chunks . . . and ultimately the whole toy before she could swallow anything. Maybe a much younger puppy would do better? I purchased this for my sister in laws Westie. We are having to take her out in the car at the moment and wanted her to be safe and secure on the back seat.I measured the dog before purchase and although the chest area was a perfect size, her head would not go through the neck part, which is fixed. I needed a replacement the next day of a larger size. This was not possible from yourselves and I had to buy from another company.This was a tiny bit loose, but very secure in the car. The dog was still able to look through the window when she wanted. I believe it would be worth showing the size of the neck loop, people could then judge if this would fit over their dogs head.I was very impressed by Petplanet delivery and their price. The small sized harness has been gifted to another person with a smaller dog, they are very happy with the product. The other thing to mention, is ease of putting the harness on. No having to fight the dog to put it on. Just loop over the head and then fasten the straps across the dogs back. The harness then fixed into the seat belt holder. This is a very good harness to buy, as long as you have correct measurements.

I would recommend this harness to anyone. Love the double rings on the neck. The double snap buckles make putting it on a breeze and the 5 areas to adjust are great! This is especially true when you have a broad chested dog…the chest strap on most harnesses is too short and that causes the side straps to rub on the dogs front legs. This harness is beyond reasonable in pricing….far far cheaper than most pet store harnesses and far better made. This harness was recommended to me. It's being used on a rottie for tracking. The person who recommended it has used one for years and it still looks like new. As mentioned, based on the construction I think this will last a good long time. Shipping is extremely reasonable. I have been living with, training and competing with my dogs in dog sports for over 20 years. I have had bigger dogs and small/toy dogs. I have tried MANY types of harnesses and in the end I always return to this one. I was truly sad that they have stopped making this in many colors and only make it in black and red. If some other company makes it in other colors the next time I need one I may have to go somewhere else for color. What I love about this harness is (1) none of my dogs has ever escaped it, (2) it does not limit movement or cause any of the physical issues that can occur over time by restricted movement, (3) once adjusted it stays exactly as I have set it, (4) machine washable, (5) does not stretch out. If you are considering the Pet Safe sport harness, skip it. Both I and a friend purchased it… she got one for a large dog and mine was for a small dog. In both cases that harness did not retain its shape very long and the dogs could slip out of them. Waste of money.Versadogs
