I can't really review Hip & Joint as well as I thought I was going to be able to. It doesn't really compare well to other supplements like this that I've tried, and I wouldn't consider purchasing it either. I wasn't aware of Hip & Joint before trying them, and I'm not sure I would recommend them to cat owners, but I would probably recommend them to dog owners. I have four cats and only one out of the four of them would even eat them. The other three cats just walked away, and then I had to pick up the other three before my fourth cat ate all of them. The one and only cat that actually did eat them started spraying in my house, which he has never done before taking Hip & Joint. I immediately stopped giving them to him, and he immediately quit spraying. I gave the Hip & Joint to a friend who has 2 adult dogs, and she is excited about trying them in place of her regular supplements. I wish I could have given a better review, but this is my opinion. We adopted a 13 year old dog at the start of the year. His joints were clearly very stiff when we got him and he had trouble with a lot of normal movement and dog behaviour. I bought these and after giving them to him for only a week we saw clear improvement. Now he stretches every day with front and back legs out, scratches himself behind the ears, and is able to reack his back legs to clean them. He will even run a little sometimes. He manages to go down the stairs where before he would stumble and fall. He seems overall happier and more spry. He likes the chews a lot, so it's no problem getting him to eat them even though he is a very picky dog. They are also very easy to break in two for very small dogs. To be honest, my dog doesn't like the taste so I crumble it in his soft foods as I find it the easiest way to include it into his diet. We have 3 dogs. Bichon Frise 14 names Molly , a maltese 10 named George, and a Coton de tulear 7 names Holy . All three are rescue dogs. I recently got Vet’s Best Advanced Hip and Joint chewable tablets for my 3 year old Mountain Cur who has seen his fair share of hunting and done quite a job on his poor legs already in his lifespan. He hobbles around on most days and does not want to do too much activity when he is not out hunting. We try to keep him feeling his best even when it is not the season to get hunting done. These chewable tablets have not been what he wants to get, but I have noticed he seems to be feeling a bit better after about a week of using them. One slight downfall is how much he does not like the taste of them, though. These are not the squishy, soft chewables I would hope for my dog, but rather the crunchy version. They are also pretty big, but for my dog weighing in at about 55 lbs., he needs 1 ½ twice a day. Taking it once a day is a huge task for him, much less twice. My other dog has no issues taking it, much like a treat. He has gotten used to it more and more and the benefits far outweigh the bad of the dislikes my dog has to it. I received the Vets best hip and Joint natural formula for dogs tablets as a spark reviewer. I have only had this product for 3 days and have been giving it to my retired Greyhound every morning. The instructions say based on her weight she should have 1 1/2 tablets, but she has a sensitive stomach so I wanted to start small. My senior Sheltie has been on a daily regime of the Moderate Care Hip Flex. I praise this product, because not only has this supplement eased the aches and pains of an aging dog, but my dog also really loves the taste. I don't worry about having to dress her meals up, which is a delight. She will eat her supplement with no fuss! Her brewer's yeast always needs fish oil on top, but not her Hip Flex. When they don't want it, I put it in the empty cat food can that needs to be washed out and I squash them and they get mixed in and stuck in the bottom of the short can and they lick and lick to get it out. It had proven some, very moderate effect on my doggy's joint issues. I cannot recommend it for that reason, but it doesn't make it a bad product. In fact, he found it tasty enough not to spit, which is impossible with Strand syrup he was prescribed, and it didn't affect his stool–again unlike Strand. What really helped him was a gelatinous-rich diet, if you wonder, but the smell is horrendous and it definitely made him fart like crazy. I bought this for our older Golden Retriever who has been having hip issues that had slowed him down. Previously I had been giving him "people" products wrapped in cheese, but he had figured out that there was a pill in the cheese and had gotten quite good at eating the cheese but spitting out the pill. I have two 18 month old dogs they are Australian Shepherd and heeler mix and I have had them since they were 4 weeks old. My little girl recently started showing signs of hip issues and I was concerned enough to research options that are non surgical to see if it would help. I have 2 senior cockapoos. One has IVDD (disc disease in his back) and the other has suffered with joint pain on and off in her paws, pretty much her whole life. I got these chews for my little guy with chronic back and knee pain. He takes a daily dose of Carprofen (doggie ibuprofen) that I would like to get him off of since it is hard on his liver and kidneys. I'm hoping that these joint and hip chews will help make that happen. I like that these chews are made in the USA as at least the ingredients used in pet food products are regulated by the FDA. When you buy pet food products from other countries, it is a crapshoot if what you are buying is even safe for your pet. I also like that this formula is veterinary approved. As for flavor, my dogs will eat them, with caution. I have some aggressive snackers that usually gulp down treats the moment it enters their lips. This chew they actually take time to eat which lends me to believe that they are "on the fence" about the flavor. They are squishy so they are easy to break apart by hand which is convenient.
