The manufacturer sells the product in 1 gram (small dog), 2 gram (medium dog), and 4 gram (large dog) sizes. Each package contains 3 packets to be given over 3 days. In order to get the correct amount for your dog's weight, you may need to order more than one package. According to the manufacturers instructions, you need to administer one gram of product (daily) for every ten pounds of animal weight. So, up to: 10 lbs = 1 gram; 20 lbs = 2 grams; 30 lbs = 3 grams; 40 lbs = 4 grams; 50 lbs = 5 grams; 60 lbs = 6 grams, etc. So, if your dog weighs 11 to 20 lbs, you need to order a 2 gram (medium dog) size and give him 1 packet per day for 3 days. But if your dog weighs 21-30 lbs, you need to order a 1 gram (small dog) AND a 2 gram (medium dog) package, and give your dog a packet from each size for 3 days. A puppy was pretty much dropped in my lap several days ago, her belly was SO bloated as she hadn't had any vet care prior. Before even getting her home I pondered the wormers at our local Petco, selected this one. On day 3 the worms came out, though her poor bloated belly was reduced after the first day. Will use this again if worming can't wait for the vet. Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. during the late fall to the end of winter I give these to my dogs to prevent worms. Then early spring I switch over to Heartguard. You get three packs. I use two packs per dog per month. Each pack 40 pounds. Total 80 pound dog. Sprinkle in with a quarter cup of warm broth, stir well. pour over their dry food and blend in. They won't notice and eat their food. Sneaky but, it works. Saves me tons of money. I have two large dogs and Heart-guard can be very expensive every month so I subsitute during the cool to cold months. You save and your dogs stay healthy from worms. My 7 week old tri color bully has vomited in his third day at our house, I googled and saw it said it’s normal for pups to do this sometimes, no worries. Two days later early morning(6:50am EST) he vomited then about 10 minutes later he pooped out about 8 long worms, found they were Roundworms. I immediately went to Meijer and grabbed two boxes of this 7 Way De-Wormer for Small Dogs and gave him a tablet which he happily chomped down. He passed loads of dead worms in each stool that day(like twice). The next morning his belly wasn’t bloated anymore but he wouldn’t eat much but drank water. By the evening he was felling great and back running through the house, he passed about 3-4 live worms in 2 of his 3 stools that day, the third stool had no worms! On the third day there were no more worms in his stool but I gave him the other tablet because I saw a very good vet recommend one deworming tablet day one, a second on day three then again in two weeks. It says not to use til 12 weeks on the box, however if your pup is over 6 lbs then I think its okay to use. My little girl is a pit and catahoula mix and shes only about 7-8 weeks old and she handled the dewormer very well. She passed a HUGE tapeworm 🤢 we decided to deworm her due to tape worm segments being passed every so often which is absolutely gross. It took a little over 24 hours for her to pass everything. This is the single most effective and affordable dewormer for dogs. I will recommend this dewormer to everyone and use it for any puppies that I have in the future. These worked right away for my 12 pound 1 year old dog. It took overnight to see the results. I snuck it into a chewy treat before bedtime and he didn’t notice it at all since they are super small. After receiving only 1 of the 2 pills (give second pill 2-3 months later for lasting results), he didn’t have anymore worms coming out of his poop and randomly out of his butt. He was constipated for about two weeks to a month and I don’t know if it had anything to do with the worms or the pill but he’s never had that issue before. My cat, King Red, got a stubborn tapeworm.. the pyranthanal palmonate had no effect on the parasite. Neither did "Advantage II", nor "Drontal" tablet. Before even getting her home I pondered the wormers at our local Petco, selected this one. On day 3 the worms came out, though her poor bloated belly was reduced after the first day. Will use this again if worming can't wait for the vet. Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. This product is exactly the same as the ingredients in Panacur. It has been around forever, and works perfectly well for the worms it is intended to treat. After getting a recommendation from the vet, we used this on our dog with very successful results. Tapeworms require a different product. Obviously, your dog should be diagnosed at your vet's office. Then you will know WHAT type of worms your dog has, and what treatment is necessary. It goes without saying that you must READ the directions as well as get instructions from your vet. I find mixing the powder with canned food or a glob of yogurt is all you need to do to get your dog to gobble it up. Your dog should also be on a heartworm preventative, and most of these products will have the added benefit of preventing several other types of parasites. Purchased PetArmor first when I physically saw worms in my dogs stool. Weighted my dog and he was 27lbs so correct wight for what I got.. 2 weeks later gave him the second dose just in case. 1 week later still had worms. Then Bought this Safe Guard 4 and gave the 3 packets for body weight like directed. Week after giving him that. Still saw worms. So I took him to the vet to see if maybe it was worms that these 2 dewormers just didn’t treat for. Nope, he had tapeworm and both this one and the Safe Guard 4 supposedly treat for tapeworm. Also, before I started all of this I did treat my home and yard for fleas and our dog so he shouldn’t have kept getting tapeworm from fleas. Gave this to my one year old cat and within an hour she started vomiting, she rapidly got worse and started having tremors, brought her to the vet and they said she had ingested something toxic but couldn’t see anything obvious either in vomit or blood or urine, I informed them of the wormer and all he had to say was well we used to use that but don’t anymore, 5 days later she died. Where have all the good Vets gone? It seems they only exist on television; we have several feral barn cats and kittens that became severely infested with 2 types of worms. The cats were vomiting large clusters of worms into their water and food dishes. We had samples of the worms, and photographs taken with a microscope that magnified the worms by 40 times their actual size. We asked our local vets to look at what we had so we could treat the cats. The vets said we had to bring in these WILD/Feral cats and make an appointment which would have separated the adults from their nursing kittens hidden someplace in the barn for a few days. We offered to pay for their time and any medicine they could provide; after all time is money and our vets in Connecticut charge by the minute. They refused to even look at our samples and photos. We found HomeoPet Wrm Clear reviews on line. Although it says that it isn't a cure it is supposed to help the cats and kittens strengthen their systems so they can fight the infestation by them selves. With no many people claiming it does work and others saying don't waste your money, I thought I'd offer some clarification. Their are a lot of factors that go into a sucessful treatment. This is a great product to treat a mild to moderate active infestation. For it to work; however, you need to be able to ensure your cat gets the full dose at the correct time intervals. Obviously, the best way to ensure that is to administer it into the cats mouth directly or (if that's not possible) put the dose onto a small amount of wet food that the cat will completely consume. I think the effectiveness plummets when you add it to water, especially communal water that multiple cats drink from. Some people say that even the water method has worked for them, but it's hard to know if each cat got a sufficient dose at the correct time intervals. It's even harder to treat a feral cat who hunts rodents as they are continually consuming more parasites from other animals. If you have an inside cat with a mild case, I can't imagine this product not being successful as long as you stay on top of dosage & keep liter boxes clean. It should work great for maintenance. Most importantly, I think the buyer must have reasonable expectations. If you are trying to treat a severe infestation or a cat that is infected with multiple types of worms at the same time, the cat might need a stronger dewormer to knock out the infection. If the cats belly is extended and it's losing weight or losing a lot of hair (not looking heathy), the case might be too severe for any OTC treatment. I like this product because it contains "NO" chemicals. The cats liked it! The dosage recommended, & giving a small dose each day for 3 days does not put the body into a life threatening situation. Rather, the body normalizes itself because it is simply dealing with a food. A chemical drug overdose is extremely dangerous. There are warnings on bottles. The overdose of chemicals or drugs into the body is undoubtedly dangerous and potentially fatal. An overdose of herbs or food often causes an allergic reaction to that specific food or herb. From an herb standpoint, there are occasionally people who are allergic to a specific herb, which is why it is recommended that one starts on any herb at a very low dosage and then slowly builds up to the needed level.robermccormic-51

I used this for our cat Schmutz, a former feral and now a fine addition to the family. She was a terrific rat catcher in the wild and of course that was probably the source of her worms. The Panacure C divided into smaller doses and administered over a 4 week period (as instructed by my vet) cleared our Schmutz right up. After her treatment I took a stool sample in for analysis and in a couple days we got the all clear. Schmutz's whole demeanor has brightened up and she is energetic as all get out. It is night and day the transformation. I mixed it with a small amount of tuna and Schmutz ate it right up, no finicky issues, and not one side effect. This is good stuff, and it works. Stray cats arrived suffering from Giardia infestation. Symptoms are high body temperature (you'll notice the cat on your lap seems much, much warmer than usual) their eyes have a sleepy, squinty look- the third eyelid partially visible is a red flag for Giardia, another big telltale symptom and the clincher is the horrible odoriferous diarrhea and stool. The odor is very offensive. The cats coat will feel greasy, and have a glossy appearance to it. They will be much sleepier than usual, and upon waking have a groggy, drunken walk, sometimes falling if they're moved suddenly upon waking. This Panacur CURES the Giardia. WEIGH your cats, follow instructions to a T, do not over or under medicate. Over-medicating them will make them ill. Recently saved our 'Princess' from the local shelter, who came to us with a multitude of ailments,two of which were fleas and tape worms. We purchased this product with the proactive idea that it would kill the tape worms and any other worms which may have inadvertently found their way into our baby. Wrong! Tape worms are still alive and healthy and still present in her stool. After carefully reading the label, I now understand it kills only one species of tape worm (Whoda Thunk?) My daughter had 1 cat that was always an inside cat (approximately 8 weeks old). She took a stray cat that was hanging around the door of her friend's home. The cat seemed to have a bloated belly. After a month on cheap cat food, we changed her food to one with probiotics and for a kitten. Her stomach decreased along with the extra foul smelling poop. All was fine until the stray pulled a cooked pork rib to the floor to eat. She had diarrhea the next time she pooped. After 1 dosage, her poop firmed up. She also seems to have more energy and does just sit and watch the other cat play. We haven't needed to take her back to the veterinary van. By the way, we did have to guess how much of the drooper to give. We gave her 1/2 of the dropper, since she's thin. She hates it. Don't give it while in good clothes or on cloth furniture, as she/he may spit some out.Pearl W.

I have had good results with many of PWB products, but this isn't one of them. Two cats with different tolerations of scent/taste and niether will have anything to do with it. Tried what one reviewer said by giving a smaller dose to acclimate them (it turned out to be really small- 2 drops) in the hopes of building them up to the full dose based on their size, but the directions tell you to only administer 4 weeks, discontinue and go back to it.I could not get them up to a full dose in 4 weeks, and I went back to it with same pattern and never achieved full dose. I buy these products rather than use the harsh Rx drugs from the vet, but if it cannot be tolerated, what good is it? At these prices, you would think it could at least be tolerated. Try some natural flavoring maybe? I tried it in their salmon oil and still nothing. It may be more natural and healthier, but what good is that if they won't take it?

My 10 year old daughter brought pinworms home from her HUGE school! We tried to get a prescription for them, but after insurance denied filling it, our last only resort was Reese’s pinworm medication. We all used this ONCE the pinworms were GONE! Wiped out completely! (Although I know everyone says to use it twice just to make sure they’re gone, we luckily didn’t have to!) the only downside is the absolutely VILE taste horrendous chalky-nature of this medication! The banana flavor is absolutely disgusting that combined with the texture made my gag reflex go NUTS! Me my daughter could barely get this medicine down the hatch without throwing up. It was AWFUL! Did not work. First attempt I took a second dose 3 weeks later. Seemed to help, a lot less symptoms, but despite washing everyting daily, and strict obsessive hygiene, they were not gone. Second attempt took second dose 2 weeks later. Did not work. Last attempt failed as well. After 4 months of this went to doctor and got Albendazole. Has terrible side effects and costs a lot but works. Added one star because others had success.ap
