We obtained an intermediate size kennel to stuff into the back of a 2012 Ford Focus. With a bit of wiggling an intermediate kennel can get through the back door. We then strapped the kennel to two of the baby seat tie down loops with two of the straps. I stuck a chunk of 2×4 under the rear facing side of the kennel to make it more level. It worked very well and, now that I have figured it out, it is five minutes to install or remove.Richard

At first I thought I’d use my own tie down straps but was curious enough about the Gunner straps to check em out. Glad i did! These things are easier than ratchet straps to deal with taking my kennel in and out of the truck. Compared to other straps with cams and similar length these are far superior in strength and durability. I don’t have a gunner kennel, so these weren’t the obvious choice. I was using strength-rated ratchet straps from Lowe’s and something always failed. The rachets would lock up, straps would get tangled in the rachets, the release stuck, you name. And the crate would still slide and shift on hard turns. The gunner straps were easy to loop through my crate and tie down points and the little can feels so secure.
