With my previous dog I used the HW protect. She didn't like the taste, and would not eat her food, if it was put in her food. So I bought a big bag of XL #3 EMPTY GELATIN CAPSULES online. I would fill the capsule with HW Protect, and put the filled gel capsule in raw ground turkey burger, then hand feed it, down the hatch. My current dog can smell it, and will suck the turkey off of the gel capsule and spit the capsule out on the floor. Trying to figure out how to fool her to get her to take it. I cannot get garlic or garlic tablets down her either. She hates anything with a stong smell. My cat has been plagued with constipation issues for several years now. She'll be 10 this year. Working to avoid western medicine via homeopathic supplements. Been using PetAlive's Natural Moves successfully for several years. She needs 1 pill daily, not the 1/2 pill per "dosage" instructions. However Natural Moves is 'on back order' everywhere, including PetAlive's website. I purchased the ingredients, and working to figure out the ratios. Now I purchased Laxa-herb. My cat hates the taste in food, water, esp. by mouth. Since she's good with pills, I now put the drops in a veg cap for her. That works. I have given this to my 9 year old cat in a spoonful of wet food 3 x day for 2.5 weeks now. Cat has been suffering from allergies and autoimmune stuff more and more so as he gets older. The past 5 month has been a constant battle with rodent ulcers, biting his paws, overgrooming, and irritability. I switched him to all the special diets and have done months and months of trials of selected protein and hydrolyzed. I have done multiple antibiotic shots, flea medication, kept him inside, routine liquid steroids, and even antidepressants. My vets worse case scenario was that we have to keep him on steroids if nothing else could stop the bald spots and scratching himself till bleeding. It seems there are multiple unknown triggers, and we've tried so many times to cut back the Prednisolone and he could never go more then 2.5 -3 days without serious repercussions. Hairballs are the devil! My baby boy Buttons, was suffering tremendously. We took him to our vet on numerous ocassions where he was given very strong laxatives. This works great for our 16 year old tuxedo cat. She is still able to groom herself however she gets frequent hair balls and this helps her expel it. She also has scoliosis of the spine in which she is given meds to help alleviate her pain but causes constipation. Our previous vet started us on this and it works great especially if you use it either 2 hours after eating or 10 minutes before feeding. I hope Pfizer doesn't do something crazy again and stop producing this product because it works much better than the others we have tried.cyn

I've been wanting to upgrade my dog's meal from her usual, boring kibble that she happily has eaten for her entire life basically and this was such product was such a hit! I have been using these tablets for my dog now for about a year,and they are excellent as my dog suffers from her glands in her bowels getting blocked,which meant that I was taking her to the vets every month to get them cleaned out,which was uncomfortable for her,and expensive for me. My orange tabby has herpes virus and was pretty sick when he was young. I do not know about the taste but if you have a picky cat like me better hide it in his favourite wet food. I was afraid to buy this product since 12 cans was a big commitment, so I bought individual cans on Amazon. After the second day giving this to my greyhound, I've started to see much better stools. My Senior dog 12 year old pug, has IBD Irritable Bowel Disease, secondary to Pancreatitis. I have been giving him Fruitables Digestible Pumpkin in his food for the past three years. I use just a dollop or two. When he has a flair up I add a little bit more to his diet. He is however on Prescription Hills ID wet and dry so I mix the two then add the pumpkin. I always add a bit of water…. My little guy rarely scoots anymore, but does have to get his glands expressed every other month which is typical for the breed. I stand behind this product. Pumpkin off the shelf at the grocery may be cheaper but this is specifically developed for our four legged friends. Pumpkin on the shelf is for pies. My dog loves the taste. The shelf life is great, but after opened you have 7 days. If you won't use on a daily,you can put in ice trays with water and make pup pops. Pumpkin is healthy and extremely good for the digestive track~ Always a great treat! I find that 360 continues to carry the best price. My dog loves this product. Some days more than others but overall he has no trouble eating it during his breakfast and dinners. His stools have improved after several weeks/months of consuming this. I'm unsure of how well this product works mainly because I found my dog did not like taking it. I did not find it to dissolve well in his water and he did not want to drink his water with the packet mixed in it. Then I tried sprinkling it on his food which he ate but a large amount of the packet just settled on the bottom. I think you almost need to have moist food for it to stick. The little bit I got into him did not seem to make any difference but I know he didn't get their recommended amount and I did not get a lot days with him actually consuming it. I might try to administer it with moist food if he seems to have some digestive issues come up. For now, I didn't find the product to be either helpful or bad. It did not dissolve easily and was not easy to get my dog to consume it.corgi mom

The Tomlyn Pre & Probiotic supplement is a water soluble powder that mixes in with your dogs food or water. This product comes with 30 individually wrapped packets that contain a really, really fine white powder. I like that it is ground really fine because it makes it easier to mix. The only downside to that is that it can puff/smoke up if you are too heavy handed when pouring the product from the packaging. Each packet contains over 8 billion Colony Forming-Units (or CFU, for short) These organisms support good digestive health. I've been using this product for a week now and I love that I am putting good bacteria into my senior dogs gut. He has a yeast problem and probiotics are known to help with getting their gut health back on track. I leave my dogs food bowl full at all times so he can pick at it when he wants, so for this reason, I mix this product in with a tablespoon greek yogurt and he gobbles it up. my vet and i found this product while looking up options to help my 15+ year senior cat who struggled with chronic constipation for years. x-rays showed he was borderline megacolon but not quite. a low fiber diet and osmotic laxatives like miralax helped, but didn't provide full relief and it was easy to over- or under-dose the miralax. prn cisapride also helped, but it was just a bandaid on the larger problem. he wasn't dehydrated and his diet includes canned food with extra water to support his old kidneys. more accurately, we first found a veterinary research article about SLAB-15, a probiotic blend that showed clinically significant reduction in cat constipation and diarrhea. the combination of probiotic bacterial species in the tomlyn pre- and probiotic comes the closest to SLAB-15 of anything we could find that was also easy to purchase regularly. i've been using this product for a few months and am over the moon with how well it alleviates my senior cat's GI symptoms. he's much more comfortable now that he's not bloated, no longer strains to defecate, and no longer needs laxatives or cisapride. the powder has no smell or flavor. it dissolves well in water and i mix it into his wet food, but the powder is fine enough to shake and coat his dry food without him noticing (or at least he doesn't care). yes, this is the dog version of the product, but formula-wise, the dog and cat versions are exactly the same. with the dog version, you get twice as much product for the same price. it also seems that the dog version is the only one ever on sale. just note that the dog sachets are 2g and the cat sachets are 1g, so a cat would get half the 2g dog packet per day. it works out to about 1/2 tsp per day, or 1/4 tsp 2x day.sfaust

I received this product complimentary from influenster in return for my honest review. The Tomlyn Hairball Remedy gel for cats is a life saver! My eldest cat has the tendency to throw up hairballs quite often. I followed the measuring ingredients on the package and mixed it into his wet food. I have definitely noticed a decrease in hairballs since! The gel consistency is a bit odd, so i can understand if your furry friend does not like it. I do recommend mixing it with wet food or a lickable treat.hennah.h

I have six cats, and, out of all of them, only one really took to this gel. However, she is the one I was hoping would like it as she is a long haired kitty. She’s actually a 3-month old kitten, and she is quite fluffy. I am so glad she took to this gel, because it will help to keep her hair moving through her system and avoid future hair balls. She licks this stuff up like it’s mother’s milk, and she’d probably eat the whole tube in one go if I let her. Really glad I tried this out, and even happier my kitten loves it. It will be part of her dietary regimen from now on. Still trying to get my other cats to eat this stuff voluntarily without me having to place it in their mouths. Purchased this product first from my vet; later tried a different product found on line – similar size tube but only 2.5 ounces compared to the Tomlyn product at 4.25 ounces. My most recent purchase from Wal-Mart is the best economically based on price and size. Both products list themselves as remedies; neither is a complete remedy but they are a definite improvement over hairballs and cleaning up those messes. My cat has extremely long hair, and she loves this product. The vet told me to put some on my finger and swipe it in her mouth – bad idea. Figured out that sitting on the floor, squirting out a tiny bit and letting her curiosity take over, she tried it. And now will eat as much as I squeeze out.Susan

These are awesome! My dog has always had digestive issues and it’s something that seems to help ease his upset stomach. He eats them everyday when it’s meal time and think they’re treats. It’s so easy to give him and it doesn’t feel like he’s getting “medicine”mattie.m

Inappropriate language, comments or content by a guy in his 40 I think. I ask him a question about probiotics, he immediately start talking to me rude and then when I try to explain him what’s goin on what the issue I have I that time he was like I don’t understand what you saying like my man in what part of world that he lives that he didn’t understand a simple question and start talking rude, well after that he was looking for someone that speak Spanish because I’m what he understood he didn’t understand what I was trying to asking him. I probably don’t know perfect English but come one you don’t need to be a scientist to understand simple questions, from the first time to the end even when I was paying at the counter he was acting rude, which I don’t get it cuz it was my first time visiting that store, also another think I heard him saying when he was talking with the girl that he get to help me in Spanish cuz in his mind he said he don’t understand me he was talking to her and then she ask him what did he needs then he said I don’t now asking and then I ask her which food is better for my franch bulldog and then she ask him and he told her I don’t know depends on what he got on his packet like trying to saying I can’t afford a 60 dollar of bag which I end spending 114. Well the lady was very patient with me and nice she helps me a lot but like I said that god was judging me because at that moment I couldn’t maybe explain what I really want, I think those type of people that treat other people like that shouldn’t be working in such a nice place, because if he didn’t feel comfortable where he work at just get another job.Rare world

I read tons of reviews on multiple sites and decided to try these on my dogs. These legit work!!! My dogs(we have 5) had a bad can of stress diarrhea for a week from moving to a new home. It was awful!!! After taking these chews for 2 days there has been a major improvement. They are almost 100% back to normal. My senior Labrador who had it the worst made the biggest turnaround. I do not usually leave reviews but maybe our story would help someone else find answers for their pet. Our Pyrenees mix has suffered terribly with allergies. He had red staining around his mouth, paws and backside, would shake his head constantly, scratching at his ears, and was licking himself raw. The vet treated his inflamed ears, prescribed drops for them and recommended switching food from beef/chicken/grain to grain-free/lamb. We also tried other supplements and medications. Although the drops help for a day or two, none of these changes brought permanent or lasting relief. At 3 chews 2x/day (he is 100#'s), we are half-way through our first bag of Canine Skin and Allergy Supplement and his behavior has changed from restlessness and constant itching to calm, relaxed, sleeping out in the sun. He has stopped shaking his head and I have not needed to put the steroid drops in his ears for over a week. Adding the supplement was the only thing we changed. I don't think we are 'there yet' and want to try another bag but I do feel this is something worth trying. It is easy to use and he seems to enjoy his twice daily 'treat'.Lifeizgood

My smooth coat collie had hot spots starting on the top part of her back toes last year. I gave her a supplement that seemed to make her lose bladder control. I stopped the supplement and all was good and the hair had grown back by then. Guessing this is a summer seasonal thing now as she got the same hair loss and pink on top of back toes this year. Used same supplement as last year and same loss of bladder control happened so I took her off it right away. She's fine now but still had to deal with the allergy toe hair loss thing. Bought the canine skin and allergy and it works great. Hair is back, no licking and no bladder control loss. She likes the supplements too. For her weight she should get 2 AM and 2 PM but I only give her 1 AM and 1 PM as a maintenance and still working great. My jack Russell liked them too but package says to keep them fresh longer, keep in fridge but that made them hard and he didn't like them as much then. His dosage was half a piece morning and evening. He was scratching a little at beginning of summer and this stuff worked for him with that too. I would definitely store in fridge if you have a little dog because the bag will last awhile and may get moldy. I was putting next days serving in sealed container outside fridge so not so hard for the little dog. Definitely recommend this product and I will so be using it 1st before and other supplement from now on.sharpei horse

My Border Collie, Riata, had a serious reaction to fleas. I treat for fleas often, but the flea load was heavier than usual this year. It was springtime and we had a ton of rain which means a ton of grasses and then a ton of mice. The mice brought the fleas. I thought she was just shedding heavily and then noticed that she was quickly going bald. On her chest and back she started looking greasy too with several small pustules here and there. I bought a medicated shampoo thinking it was some form of fungus or bacteria, but then I started seeing these big fleas while I was bathing her. I immediately gave her a topical flea treatment after her bath. Between the medicated baths and flea treatments she looked a lot better, but 6 months later she still had some flaky skin and slightly greasy chest. I ordered the Santa Cruz Allergy Chews and within 2 weeks I saw a big calming in the redness of her skin on her chest and the flakiness is going away. Her coat looks the best it has in 2 years!
