Hairballs are the devil! My baby boy Buttons, was suffering tremendously. We took him to our vet on numerous ocassions where he was given very strong laxatives. This works great for our 16 year old tuxedo cat. She is still able to groom herself however she gets frequent hair balls and this helps her expel it. She also has scoliosis of the spine in which she is given meds to help alleviate her pain but causes constipation. Our previous vet started us on this and it works great especially if you use it either 2 hours after eating or 10 minutes before feeding. These soft chews worked for my little Yorkshire Terrier like nothing else we tried. I've been wanting to upgrade my dog's meal from her usual, boring kibble that she happily has eaten for her entire life basically and this was such product was such a hit! Works to improve my dog's poop to be firm and solid when it gets slightly soft. However it doesn't make a difference when he's having the runs though. I was excited to try this Loose Stool Remedy Gel 15 Firm Fast for the dog when he has some issues but I didn’t feel like it was his favorite thing. Here’s what I liked and disliked. It comes in a syringe style container that easily dials to the amount needed for the size of your dog which is great. Dial out the dose you need and dispense the exact amount into the dish for the dog to eat. It’s chicken flavored so I feel like most dogs would like the taste of it. This is an excellent product with the best ingredients to heal (not just treat) intestinal lining problems. My girl has a bad case of IBS and was constantly crying and in horrible pain even after I put her on an organic home made diet. I occasionally add this to my 13-year-old cat's food, or even administer a few drops directly into his mouth, when he's having tummy troubles. My Bichon has inflammatory bowel disease which has caused loose stools sometimes with blood. I tried changing her food, but she still had bouts of it. I took it from my cats. One especially has an issue with the eyes. The orange tabby has a wet eye when he eats. He is very picky so I try to hide the powder in his wet food. Let me say that this helped him a lot especially when given every day. I know that L lysine is very good for viruses. like Herpes virus and EBV. It’s very sad to share that we lost our dear Cat due to kidney stone / kidney failure just a few days ago. After receiving this product I quickly added into my cat’s diet after he came back home from hospitalisation. My cat has been plagued with constipation issues for several years now. She'll be 10 this year. Working to avoid western medicine via homeopathic supplements. Been using PetAlive's Natural Moves successfully for several years. She needs 1 pill daily, not the 1/2 pill per "dosage" instructions. However Natural Moves is 'on back order' everywhere, including PetAlive's website. I purchased the ingredients, and working to figure out the ratios. Now I purchased Laxa-herb. My cat hates the taste in food, water, esp. by mouth. Since she's good with pills, I now put the drops in a veg cap for her. That works. I have given this to my 9 year old cat in a spoonful of wet food 3 x day for 2.5 weeks now. Cat has been suffering from allergies and autoimmune stuff more and more so as he gets older. The past 5 month has been a constant battle with rodent ulcers, biting his paws, overgrooming, and irritability. My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. I can't speak to quality, put if your pet won't eat it- there's the answer the quality doesn't matter. They would be easy to use if your pet likes them.iHerb Customer

I received this product complimentary from influenster in return for my honest review. The Tomlyn Hairball Remedy gel for cats is a life saver! My eldest cat has the tendency to throw up hairballs quite often. I followed the measuring ingredients on the package and mixed it into his wet food. I have definitely noticed a decrease in hairballs since! The gel consistency is a bit odd, so i can understand if your furry friend does not like it. I do recommend mixing it with wet food or a lickable treat.hennah.h

I have six cats, and, out of all of them, only one really took to this gel. However, she is the one I was hoping would like it as she is a long haired kitty. She’s actually a 3-month old kitten, and she is quite fluffy. I am so glad she took to this gel, because it will help to keep her hair moving through her system and avoid future hair balls. She licks this stuff up like it’s mother’s milk, and she’d probably eat the whole tube in one go if I let her. Really glad I tried this out, and even happier my kitten loves it. It will be part of her dietary regimen from now on. Still trying to get my other cats to eat this stuff voluntarily without me having to place it in their mouths. Purchased this product first from my vet; later tried a different product found on line – similar size tube but only 2.5 ounces compared to the Tomlyn product at 4.25 ounces. My most recent purchase from Wal-Mart is the best economically based on price and size. Both products list themselves as remedies; neither is a complete remedy but they are a definite improvement over hairballs and cleaning up those messes. My cat has extremely long hair, and she loves this product. The vet told me to put some on my finger and swipe it in her mouth – bad idea. Figured out that sitting on the floor, squirting out a tiny bit and letting her curiosity take over, she tried it. And now will eat as much as I squeeze out.Susan

I foster for a local rescue and suggested this supplement for one of my fosters because I have been using many of the products with great success over the years for my own cats. My cat Zeppole has had issues pooping since I got him. I have been putting little pumpkin and Miralax in his food and no more dry food for him. One time he couldn't go and was so backed up vet gave him like 3 enemas and still didn't clear him out but eventually he did and that was quite a mess. Anyway read review on this product and another person did same thing about enemas not working and this product worked great. With this product so far he seems to be going little more often and that's good. I still put pumpkin in his food and sometimes the Miralax too. One of our rescue cats needed an enema under anaesthetic to relieve an impacted bowel. The operation changed her. She hardly went out, was nervous and not herself. It took 3 months for her to recover. She has eaten a Biologically Appropriate Raw Food Diet for the last few years and we think that the fur she'd swallowed whilst grooming had impacted for some reason inside her. The vet didn't think she had a physiological obstruction but we didn't want to go through that stress again, nor did Stripe! The vet said they'd managed to remove about 95% of the impacted material and did massage to help the remaining stuff. For the first couple of months she was still straining a little and taking over a minute to produce a bowel movement. We monitored it every day and could see she was still passing compacted fur mats. One of our dogs starting having a lot of accidents after she turned 10. We started implementing this into her diet and definitely have seen an improvement. The accidents didn’t stop completely but they went from a couple a day to once every couple of weeks. Started this supplement after my vet friend recommended it. I don’t give it daily but when I notice my pup licking more down there I’ll throw it in for a few days and it seems to do the trick! Had a urinalysis done and he is infection free 🙂Madimz
