Dog Collar For Whining For Sale (2024 Update)

Our two westies have had barking issues in the past. Just the random barking when neighbours make noise, bins get collected, someone at door etc. We have tried other collars in the past and they never worked! Finally now we have a solution! These collars worked instantly. One bark and since they felt the first vibration, then haven’t had them bath since! We will leave these collars on them full time. Have had the best results with this bark collar (Dogtra YS300). I used it on myself to test and it scared me for sure! But DID NOT HURT AT ALL. I adopted a Maltese Terrier end of last year and he barked like a maniac! I cannot handle barking for no reason! Anyway, I ended up having to go up to number 4 because his barking urge was so strong. We wish we bought this sooner! Our little Kelpie girl was relentless with her barking she would bark at anything that moved. After a not so great interaction with a neighbour we were at our wits end and decided to purchase the collar. It was quite awful hearing her yelp when so first barked however after 2 weeks with the collar I don't even have it on her anymore during the day and when at home and she barely makes a peep! Amazing product!!! I have a beautiful groodle, well trained and loved dearly. But her barking was out of control. Kids couldn't play ball without the constant barking. Researching and ordering the collar from the Bark Control website was seamless. The bark collar was received in short time via Australia Post Express. It appears to be well made and fairly robust. Operation of and fitting the collar is easy, directions are included and are simple to follow. We've had no barking complaints from our neighbours since changing to this collar so I guess it's working. it's far superior to our previous vibration type which was pretty much useless on our cattle dog. We've been using this bark collar on our German Shepherd and it's working! He barks at everyone out the front window or while on car rides and his bark is very loud. I've tried other collars in the past that give off a beeping noise and can be controlled by a remote control, but that beeping sound scares my mini poodle too much so we had to stop using it. I was excited to try this collar knowing it releases a different type of sound. So far it distracts the GSD and works to deter him from barking. I bought this collar a few months ago for my lab (85 lbs). It was easy to put on the dog, and it didn't seem to hurt him. It did slide but I think it was to big at first. the battery part I needed to remove but it worked after a few tries. It was effective for about 2 weeks and then I think the dog ended up tolerating the vibration. So now it doesn't work at all. I couldn't return it because I did not have the box, receipt and it was out of the return policy.Winston816

I purchased the bark collar a few weeks ago now and have found it's worked really well in training our German Shepherd. She's an excited 4yr old who doesn't seem to grow out of the puppy stage! She would bark at birds, people walking past, neighbours in their yards, our cars pulling in….. etc and generally driving everyone crazy. We tried stopping the barking by putting on a bark muzzle each time she barked however you couldn't leave it on when you went out for the day and so it was never consistent. The first week of using the bark collar she seemed abit depressed, not running around like her usual self, now though she's used to it and back to her active self without barking! The only issues we've had is the collar does move, she's a long haired German Shepherd and I feel I have to do the collar up very tight to keep the contact between prongs and skin even though they're the long prongs, the only other issue was once after barking in response to the collar she yelped and it set the bark collar off again and became a cycle of yelping/zapping, fortunately we were able to get to her quickly and take the collar off to stop the cycle because it was horrific when it happened. We haven't had any further occurrences like that though and have continued using the collar. Now even when we have our friends dog over and I take the bark collar off while they play she doesn't bark. I would definitely recommend using a bark collar to train your dog if their a nuisance barker like ours was. I was so excited to try this on my dog because there’s nothing else I’ve done has worked. I loved the range of size the collar goes. I also loved that the button is on the inside so the dog would not be able to accidentally turn it off(no it doesnt zap your hand)lol. The first 24 hours I thought it was working because she only barked once or twice and that was unusual for her. But every day since she has gone back to her normal crazy barking self. I have a 9 month old puppy who is barking non stop a couple times a day. I found the Premier Pet Bark Collar and thought this might be the trick. I am glad I did so far we have reduced these barking times to shorter times and less often. We do not leave the collar on all the time but do put it on when he starts the barking. He knows the minute we get the collar out what is going on and stops barking but we put on the collar to reinforce the good behavior. Our goal is to not need the collar after a month or so. I thought my husband was going to kill me and the dog…and I was praying my neighbors did not have guns because this little 8 pound cutie barked like a 100 lb squealing pig at anything and everything! I called pet safe and learned that the collar needs to be tightly fitted on the dogs neck or it will not work. After adjusting the collar and I was still on the phone with the representative my Daisy girl went outside and I witnessed it working immediately. We still have some light barking which I imagine occurs before the strengthened static but it is completely manageable. I will say after reading the reviews we have lucked out with the battery… It has been in use with an aggressive Barker for a month and still has not needed to be replaced. Our only downside is that the collar is bulky… I take it off when she comes inside. If I do forget to put it on when she goes outside she will bark up a storm again! I bought two Basic Static Bark collars to help alleviate my puggle's and beagle's separation anxiety barking when we are not at home. The collars are fitted properly and in accordance with instructions and the batteries are working, yet BOTH dogs continue to bark. The biggest problem is that both collars tend to move to one side of the dogs' necks, so the dogs are probably not receiving the static correction. The directions state to "REPOSITION THE COLLAR ON THE PET'S NECK EVERY 1 TO 2 HOURS.." Obviously, if we are not home, this is impossible to do. I wasted almost $100 on collars that do not work on either dog. Petsafe customer service recommended that I should purchase the more expensive Deluxe Petsafe Collar. No thanks. I'm done wasting my money! PETSAFE RESPONSE Thank you for taking the time to review the Basic Static Bark Collar. We are terribly sorry to hear that it did not work well for your puggle and beagle, and can understand your frustration! These collars must be lined up with the vocal cords in order to detect the vibration of the bark. I bought this about a week ago after I received a complaint from a neighbor and was given a warning from our HOA for disturbance. We had just moved in about a month ago and didnt want to make enemies. My dog barks at everything. From shadows, birds to airplanes. I decided to give this a try. I was skeptical and thought for sure this wouldn't work. I put it on my dog and let him loose in the backyard. Sure enough he barked once and to my surprise, stopped! I noticed there were people walking their dogs (we lived right next to the dog trail) and sure enough my dog darts out to the back yard and again barked once, then stopped. I was shocked! I wanted to see if it was really working so I took it off and my dog ran out there and started his annoying bark. I called him in and out the collar back on and again ran out but this time he did not bark. I must have done this about 3-4 times and the results were the same. OK I needed to get my younger boy to check himself with the over excessive barking but I never wanted to use anything like the shock collar which to me is a little inhumane. The one thing I noticed that did work is spraying him with a water bottle,however that’s not practical when he’s far away in the yard or trying to chase him down to do it. This was the perfect solution I can’t believe I didn’t know about this! It fit him perfect was easy to adjust with plenty of room till the perfect fit so I’m sure it’ll fit almost all dogs. It was very easy to set up you just pop one of the little spray refill cartridges which it came with two,unscented and citronella and so far we are on the unsented. It has a USB charging cable which was also convenient. Although in my pic I have the collar on his back it has to go under his neck I just did that for the picture you might have to trim your dogs fur under his neck which I did and it worked much better. The battery life is awesome all depending on how much your dog barks we are on almost 2 months the first week or two before your dog gets used to it it will use more obviously. My dog has her mouthy moments and like yo bark at everyone that walks by my house. I recently tried the Premier Pet™ Spray Bark Collar to try and calm her from obnoxiously barking. The collar adjusted to her neck size with ease, along with a easy to use buckle. The collar has an easy opening small door that you load with the spray deterrent that holds 35 sprays each. When I put it on my dog and she began to bark the collar went off and sprayed her. She immediately stopped barking and started to run in circles around me seemingly confused as to what what happening – but she stopped barking! After a few instances of this happening she caught on and the barking stopped! The collar definitely does exactly what it is made to do, and I find it to be alot less cruel then a shock collar! We have a 4 year old German Shepherd who has never barked at anything until just recently. The more we socialize her with other dogs she learns more behaviors. I called pet safe and learned that the collar needs to be tightly fitted on the dogs neck or it will not work. After adjusting the collar and I was still on the phone with the representative my Daisy girl went outside and I witnessed it working immediately. We still have some light barking which I imagine occurs before the strengthened static but it is completely manageable. I will say after reading the reviews we have lucked out with the battery… It has been in use with an aggressive Barker for a month and still has not needed to be replaced. Our only downside is that the collar is bulky… I take it off when she comes inside. If I do forget to put it on when she goes outside she will bark up a storm again! I bought two Basic Static Bark collars to help alleviate my puggle's and beagle's separation anxiety barking when we are not at home. The collars are fitted properly and in accordance with instructions and the batteries are working, yet BOTH dogs continue to bark. The biggest problem is that both collars tend to move to one side of the dogs' necks, so the dogs are probably not receiving the static correction. The directions state to "REPOSITION THE COLLAR ON THE PET'S NECK EVERY 1 TO 2 HOURS.." Obviously, if we are not home, this is impossible to do. I wasted almost $100 on collars that do not work on either dog. Petsafe customer service recommended that I should purchase the more expensive Deluxe Petsafe Collar. No thanks. I bought this about a week ago after I received a complaint from a neighbor and was given a warning from our HOA for disturbance. We had just moved in about a month ago and didnt want to make enemies. My dog barks at everything. From shadows, birds to airplanes. I decided to give this a try. I was skeptical and thought for sure this wouldn't work. I put it on my dog and let him loose in the backyard. Sure enough he barked once and to my surprise, stopped! I noticed there were people walking their dogs (we lived right next to the dog trail) and sure enough my dog darts out to the back yard and again barked once, then stopped. I was shocked! I wanted to see if it was really working so I took it off and my dog ran out there and started his annoying bark. I called him in and out the collar back on and again ran out but this time he did not bark. I must have done this about 3-4 times and the results were the same. Here we are 1 week from the day I bought it and my dog's behavior has completely changed. Everytime I let him out to potty, I'll put his collar on and no unnecessary barking from him. Our new pup now almost 1 1/2 years old, was a barking machine. Hard to control or stop. We got this hoping that would help and it has. Our dog has a LOT of fur and it was hard to get contact but when that issue was resolved we noticed the barking decreased within a day or two. When we took off the collar, there was a tendency for our dog to ramp up again but once it was back on, the excess barking stopped. The dog has now figured out, collar on, no barking. Collar off, barking some is ok. Hopefully that goes away with time. Next we need to work on whining, sigh…Mossman1

The PetSafe Bark Collar has been a tremendous help with our Australian Shepard who loved to bark at anything and everything from dusk until dawn. We put the collar on right away and it started working immediately for him. It doesn't seem to hurt him at all. I think it startled him more than anything but he is fine. We are able to take him on walks now and to the park . The kids are not scared of him anymore and we can actually talk to each other calmly without having to get frustrated trying to talk over his barking. I read all the reviews on a lot of bark collars and the PetSafe Barking Collar – PBC17-16635 by far had the best reviews. After talking with my husband we decided to purchase. Once received we read the instruction manual and did as it said but no matter what we did nothing was working. I emailed and Jason sent through a video lnk which gave us more of a clearer understanding of what to do. Upon following those instructions I cant fault it. I'd tried a few different things to curb my dog's barking but nothing had worked. I chose this model based on the 'Bark Collars by Breed' chart and then rang the 0800 number to get further advice. The guy I spoke to could not have been more helpful. It's a pretty expensive purchase but I felt really confident that I wouldn't be throwing more money down the drain after speaking to him. My Boston Terrier of 9 years never barked in her life. We got a rescue and those days are over. Now she barks at everything, even more than the rescue. I bought an inferior product that didn’t work at all. So I invested in the Barkless 504. Well she will bark through the stimulation, even with the longer sensors and set to the highest L9. It does seem she barks a little less, but she definitely barks through the collar stimulation. I’m not over joyed by the function of this collar but it seems to be the best there is.Penny R

This collar did not work properly. It would do static correction when my dog was quiet and the bark counter didn't even register a single bark when he was barking like crazy. I tried to get it to work properly for 3 days before returning for a refund (that I had to pay shipping for both ways). It was very disappointing, especially when I was told 'there was nothing wrong with the collar'. (Yes, it was fitted correctly.) This collar is no good for very fluffy dogs. I'd suggest getting a collar with a microphone instead of vibration sensor for fluffy dogs.Rheannon D.

I have always been apprehensive of shock collars, but my dog was back-tracking on her training. She has always behaved very well on a leash, just to forget that training when the leash comes off. In only 2 weeks of use, this collar has worked like a charm! I have only had to shock once- the vibration and beep modes are enough to correct her. Both the collar and remote batteries are still charged after 2 weeks – I haven't had to recharge yet. I had a waterproof beeper before. I learned quickly after drowning it. It is not submersible. Now. I know the difference. And this one is a keeper. I love its freedom. I love to walk around the neighborhood pond with our dog, Louise. She loves to play fetch, Especially in the pond. When others walk by she wants to greet them enthusiastically. She normally follows my commands. But when people are involved she can be out of control happy. Anyway this beeper let’s her enjoying fetching in the water, and obeying my “here” command as well. Good unit. All you have to do to change the battery is be gadget person. Obviously it was assembled so disassemble it very carefully get the battery part number and order one. Or you could buy it with an extended Asurion plan on Amazon. I have always taking things apart ever since I was a child so if the batteries die on something other than an iPhone I take it apart and put a new one in always can be doneDavid

Already a fan of Sportdog, Ive been using a single collar for 8 yrs with no issues. This control is more exact with 2 or more collars, I use three collars and I love it. The transmitter will not charge, despite my having ordered a new battery. The collar receives and charger work just fine, but the transmitter does not work well…it lost its charge and I can't recharge it…so it's a very expensive one-time-use collar.
