Bought this from Petco on 02182022. Sprayed it on two items our mini dachshund pup has been attacking. The attacks stopped immediately. It has no smell when wet or when dry. One warning: wear rubber gloves when applying! My granddaughter and I both got it on our hands and despite several hand washings, we both got yucked at supper time. Also, spray the items outdoors or in the garage, away from anything that someone might touch. One of the pup's Kong squeaker balls caught some of the overspray. Now she is avoiding ALL her toy balls. Also, while wearing your gloves, wipe off anything that might come in contact with dogs or humans. We sprayed a cheap plastic basket our grandkids were using to store small toys. Even though we dried the basket, the toys still picked up some yuck. The kids hands then got contaminated. And then all kinds of things got yucky. Our dog twice got foxtail seeds in his paws which lead to serious infections. He missed a hunting trip and the second time his paw was huge with the infection and had to be lanced. Poor fella. Google brought me to the natural dog company because my dogs paws were the stuff off nightmares. Paw pads that look like hair which I learned was hyperkeratosis. Supposedly there is no cure for this. But I thought at the very least this would give him some relief as he must have been in some pain. Well he looks so much better already. The paws got soft enough that I was able to "trim" the filaments off sightly. Yes it was as gross as it sounds lol. He is not fully cured yet but his paws are so much closer to normal already. I thought this was way too good to be true. My dog- Victoria, a catahoula- has severe allergies and has to be on a special diet, take medications, etc. even then, she has still had really bad allergies and chews her paws and legs. While she absolutely hates this stuff- I don’t know if it is the smell (it smells good, though), but on day 2 I saw a significant change in the redness and itchiness. I run and walk my border collie 7-9 miles everyday and his paws were always rough so I decided to try this…within 1 week his cracks were almost all gone and his pads were really bad…deep skin cuts are almost fully gone!!! My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. Google brought me to the natural dog company because my dogs paws were the stuff off nightmares. Paw pads that look like hair which I learned was hyperkeratosis. Supposedly there is no cure for this. But I thought at the very least this would give him some relief as he must have been in some pain. Well he looks so much better already. The paws got soft enough that I was able to "trim" the filaments off sightly. Yes it was as gross as it sounds lol. He is not fully cured yet but his paws are so much closer to normal already. He is also in less pain as he is more tolerant of me putting the product on. Once he gets a bit more healed I will use the skin soother in-between the toes. The only con is that this stuff goes fast. I thought this was way too good to be true. My dog- Victoria, a catahoula- has severe allergies and has to be on a special diet, take medications, etc. even then, she has still had really bad allergies and chews her paws and legs. While she absolutely hates this stuff- I don’t know if it is the smell (it smells good, though), but on day 2 I saw a significant change in the redness and itchiness. I was such a huge skeptic because I’ve tried everything and I wasn’t expecting this to work and it has honestly been the only think that is not a medication that has helped. I run and walk my border collie 7-9 miles everyday and his paws were always rough so I decided to try this…within 1 week his cracks were almost all gone and his pads were really bad…deep skin cuts are almost fully gone!!! I had to order more of it even tho I haven't ran out fully. My dog doesn't lick it off or anything, but the first 2 times, it was hard to keep him still but now he lays there sleeping while I put it on him before bed. He lays still when I put it on in the morning also. I recommend getting the 4 Oz tin cuz I got the 2 Oz stick and after 1 week it's half gone…so if the pads are very rough, you my use a bit more than usual or recommended. Very bitter! Keep your mouth shut and avoid talking while spraying this, and wash your hands thoroughly afterward. It's really bitter, and you'll taste it for yourself if you don't! We learned from the internet that you should first give your puppy a taste on a cotton ball or something, then hold his water up for 30 minutes to an hour so he doesn't think he should just drink water to get rid of the taste. We sprayed the furniture he can't stop chewing after that, and it worked pretty good. To keep things bitter, you'll probably have to reapply every day or several days, but it's worked well for our Australian shepherd puppy.Emily

I adopted an older girl from our local shelter. From what we could tell, she had been on the streets for a long time, but seemed healthy. I adopted a dog 2 years ago and she is great. I noticed right off the bat though that my dog's bladder would leak when she got excited which I know can be common so I didn't think too much of it at first. I bought the P.H. travel set to see if this would help my highly allergic, health challenged Scottish Terrier. I adopted two very rambunctious puppies and bought many bottles of Grannick's Bitter Apple to deter them from chewing on things like furniture, shoes, etc. I tried other deterrents as well as puppy chew toys. In my opinion, Grannick's works the best. I gave this product four stars because the pump strayer was defective on a several bottles and did not spray. The liquid just dribbled out. I had to buy a spray bottle to properly apply it. Note: The product may stain. I used it anyway because I did not want the puppies to destroy my sofa. You have to do more than just ONE spraying I have two 9 month old Staffordshire Bull Terriers that will eat chew thru anything! Of Couse love my slippers. I took my slippers and spayed heavy where they would pick them up. Then the next day spayed again. Worked! When you spray this stuff it does not leave water marks or anything. We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip.
