My dog, a 7lb cavapoo named Luna, and I were at my sisters when she found this toy at her house. Luna instantly loved it. Mom got her one for Luna to have at home and she just loves it. I do not think the packaging is the greatest it does not say what it is made of and after some googling I am not sure how safe the ingredients are for dogs but its made in USA and my dog has had no issues from it. I think these are better for dogs compared to Nylabone. My dog a cocker spaniel has bad anxiety and is a constant chewer only 2 years old. The size small is pretty decently sized. An they past pretty long too. I always buy about 4 that way they arent chewing on the same one and no matter the room shes in theres always a bone close to be found instead of something shes not suppose to have.Kris
My dog loves wood-tasting chew bones. These contain wood and are enticing and keeps the dog entertained. They don't wear down quickly. They're not as hard/tough on dog's teeth as antler bones. They don't splinter like some bones and don't come apart like rawhide. My dog chews only tiny pieces at a time; she basically gnaws on it rather than chews. She can take a rawhide apart in a few minutes, but these wood bones last a long time since she only gnaws on them. I like that they come in several sizes. The XS or S may be too small for small breeds, but my 9-lb. minpin chews the S or M size ones on her own. I buy chew bones for my 4 dogs on a fairly regular basis. A new one (nylabone usually) can usually last at least a couple of weeks before needing to be replaced. I gave one of these to one of my dogs last night, and she had a total of about 20 minutes chew time before she was biting chunks of it off. I’ve had this toy for about a week now and my 14 week old Golden Retriever pup has loved it since I brought it home. She chews it and squeaks it and loves to play fetch with it although it doesn’t really bounce or give at all when you throw it. I will say the smell is pretty bad. I liked that this chew toy was durable and had some weight to it, but my dog doesn’t play with the toy at all. I believe this is the toy he could not “destroy” and didn’t want anything to do with it. It did have a rubbery smell, so he might have been turned off by that, but it was a waste of money for me. My 60 lb. dog had teeth marks all over this toy in a matter of minutes, and it looks very unstable as if it will completely tear apart with one good tug. I was disappointed given how expensive it is, and that I thought it had a good warranty. But if you go to the website for the return that is guaranteed, you will find that you have to pay shipping to return it, and give the company a check for $7.50 for them to ship the new toy to you. My St Bernard puppy loves this!! I just run it under the water so it gets a little wet and it freezes extremely quick. I would say in about 10-15 min its really for him to play with. When its thawing and hes chewing a little bit of water gets on the floor but nothing that wont dry in a few minutes or cant be dried off with a small towel. My 2 year old lab mix loves this toy! He loves to chew and this is his favorite rubber toy! He plays with it daily and it keeps him entertained. He did chew the nubs off, but they all came off in big enough pieces that we just took them from him when we noticed he got them off. It has lasted since Christmas, so 7 months. I have a 12 month old golden puppy who is a very aggressive chewer! Her mission in life seems to be to destroy and eat toys. I've bought many toys supposedly tough enough to stand up to aggressive chewing that are in the trash because she has destroyed them. Sometimes within the first day of getting them. I love this toy so much for my pups I bought a second one. I have 4 labs, 2 of them are puppies. My pups have been chewing up our hose so I bought this as a positive diversion away from the hose and it has worked perfectly! My pups LOVE IT!! All 4 of them play with it and one of our pups always is playing with it. My St Bernard puppy loves this!! I just run it under the water so it gets a little wet and it freezes extremely quick. I would say in about 10-15 min its really for him to play with. When its thawing and hes chewing a little bit of water gets on the floor but nothing that wont dry in a few minutes or cant be dried off with a small towel. I shouldve gotten 2, one to have in the freezer while hes playing with the other. Its awesome for a teething puppy! Plus it came 5 days earlier.
