I actually got the 8" one I believe. I had an old one that was 14" and it was great. I wanted a smaller one for my puppy, but it is very light weight and does not dribble well. I suppose it will hold up, but it is not made as well as my old one. It could even be a different company. I have had my big one for about 15 years. The old one could get run over by a tractor and not break.. Can't say that for the 8" one.TERRI

I got our first ball second hand, through a family friend. My dog absolutely loved it, but it was a bit too big for him. I got my puppy (now 1.5 yrs) a small and medium ball to see which size would be better. The medium is the perfect one! He enjoys playing with it every day! He loves it. It's his outdoor toy. He would go all day if we let him. We've had it for about 3 years now and it's pretty sun faded and has plenty of teeth marks in it. Also started developing a crack on the one hole, but otherwise its been incredibly durable. My partner can kick it hard across the yard in steel toes and it hasn't broken yet (that's probably what the crack is from). It has caused his gums to bleed a handful of times so maybe beware of that just because of the hard plastic if your pup is a tough chewer/biter, but otherwise my dog would literally kill for this toy. I read these other reviews where the dogs go wild for the toy! I have three dogs at home, and none were interested in this toy. They were excited until I threw the ball on the ground. They all took turns pawing at it, and within 45 seconds the dogs were playing with the old toys. The toy itself is built well. The plastic outer ball seems chew-resistant and the inner ball seems sturdy. There is no issue with the toy itself, but my dogs did not fit the status quo in enjoying this selection.KatieMD

We bought the Chuck It Rope Fetch ball yesterday for our 9 month old German Shepherd. Within the first 24 hrs, the rope has disconnected from the ball. The toy is advertised as being a tug and fetch toy, which is exactly how we used it. I’m extremely disappointed in the durability of this toy!Puppyluv7297

This is the best fetch toy EVER! I can't sink my teeth into it so it deflates and I can grab it by the rope or the ridges. I take it with me to the park and the river for heaps of fun with other dogs, too. Being a Great Dane I need a touch toy and this is the best I have had yet!Sapphire

Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. The ball is very rigid plastic which prevents total instant destruction by the doxie tag team that makes short work of any toy in reach. The dog has learned to propel the ball with his feet like in soccer ,all the while barking with every gobble – giggle noise the ball makes when rolled along.Dog seems to like it .Thanks!Elf CAS

I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. The concept for this toy is spot on and I would give it a positive review for a smaller dog or a breed that is not a strong chewer.pompano01-us

My dog absolutely LOVES this ball. We got her one when she was just a puppy and it’s been her favorite toy since. She’s had it about 6 months and has destroyed it. I don’t mind buying one every six months because I get my money’s worth. Last night I went to buy her a new one, thinking she will have it another 6 months. WRONG. I really wanted to leave a better rating for this. Have been a fan of the chuck it products for a while. After reading and watching a number of reviews where many stated this products durability I decided to pick it up for my boyfriends dog. Within the first 24 hours there was damage to the point the pet store offered a refund or exchange, I opted to try another one (after all many people mentioned how well made these were, clearly I just one with some slight defects-right?)Once exchanged we got some seriously enjoyable play. The design allows for an easy pick up, it is light weight. While it is more durable than some other balls, unfortunately we had just under a month of play before it was punctured and started to lose air. *Note- We keep this toy specifically for playtime, it is not one that would be accessed and chewed on. So the usage we had in this month would be relatively light. Used 3-4 days weekly within the monthallison.c

This ball is great in terms of how easy it is to kick however it is not durable at all. After a couple of days the stitching was already coming apart and after a couple of weeks it is destroyed. Super disappointed given the price I would have expected it to be more durable. My pup absolutely loves it so it sucks it didnt last long.Monique

The Flylight is the most comfortable Frisbee to throw when you have finished a long day of work and want to play with your dog. You don't have to be a expert Frisbee thrower and the glow in the dark ones are also nice when the sun is setting and your doggo just got a chance to play. The only downside to the amazing light foam (that doesn't hurt my dogs teeth), is that it is foam and will have to be replaced but considering this toy is used every day for at least 1 hour of fetch a day it is very much worth it. The fabric does come apart with my dogs enthusiastic gnawing after his catch but the foam inside stands up for longer. The product works for about 6 months of daily use before considering replacement. A great dog toy in my opinion that brings my doggo happiness.AJ

Not all dogs can do it but if you have a soccer playing canine this is the best. Soccer dogs cannot destroy this ball and they will wear themselves out trying. The bigger the better! Floats – fun in water and on ice. On super cold days your dog can get great exercise in 10-15 minutes. This ball is not for every dog, Only for your soccer star.Catherine

My Plott Hound is big, hyperactive and obsessive. Several years ago a friend gave him one of these balls and he has been totally focused on it ever since. This past winter he smacked it into the house (brick) when it was 20 degrees outside and the ball cracked. He eventually was able to start taking it apart. That ball was at least 15 years old and possibly older and had been handed down through several dogs. This ball is made the same way except for the plug- which the old one had – and since the day he got it he hasn't stopped. There is every indication the new ball will last as long as the old one.gloabb

It took a while for the puppy to use it but once we hid small treats and some toys between the layers to kind of make the layers fuller, it got the puppy interested. It’s being used and the pup is keeping busy. I think it would be useful if you have a small yard or a house dogTony

This is an adorable toy and would be great for a small dog that is not an intense chewer. The sound the warthog makes is very cute! The toy is small and our aggressive chewing English Bulldog had a hole in it within 25 minutes, so I would not recommend it for a strong chewer. We have two French bulldogs who have destroyed every toy they've ever had. They even destroy these after about two months but we still keep buying them because they are a game changer! Since the first time we bought one about 4 years ago there hasn't been a single night where our dogs haven't spent at least half an hour gnawing on the nub of these toys. We also have been told by our veterinarian that our Frenchie's have the cleanest and healthiest teeth that they have ever seen and we are convinced it is from chewing this toy! They eventually wear them down enough to break pieces off at which point we replace them but we never have less than two in our house at any time. Our one dog even swallowed a huge chunk once which caused a blockage that thankfully he passed before he needed surgery but we still buy them! They are just that great of a toy. I've easily spent over $200 on these toys over the years but it was all worth it!Sean M.

A family member bought this for our 8mnth old rottie as we have a hard time keeping a toy around for 3days. This has lasted 2wks so far with no damage and she plays with it non-stop! We are super happy with this product that we bought two balls for her. I cant believe how durable this toy is and how much she loves it! Never thought of putting treats in it so ill have to try that! I received a Jolly Pets Tough Treader toy for my honest and unbiased review. My pup LOVES the Jolly Pets Tuff Treader! She is able to gnaw on it, toss it, tug it, and chase it. It quickly became a household favorite and has proven itself to be strong and durable. My dog is a 67 lbs power chewer, but she hasn't been able to chew into and destroy this because the material is tough. She tends to play with it a lot more than she gnaws/chews on it, but so far the toy has been great for both activities! Our labs chews all her toys and tennis balls never last. The Kong toys also get chewed quickly. These ball are her favorite and have held up great with her. She loves them and we have purchased several packs now to have when she loses one.H.E.D.C.

Make no mistake, this is a, tough, very good quality product and the Dogs seem to like it, however, on grass this flies and bounces as a normal ball and other Canine owners have even suggested that it is even flies on a truer line, it also does not fit easily into my Chuckit launcher I have tried it on a hard surface but still no particular deviation in direction. Green was probably not a great choice of colour for an outdoor dog toy. In summary, I will not be buying any more but the dogs still play with the ones I have…. mainly to chew on. This is by far the best decoy on the market. KONG never disappoints and these last longer than any other brand or type of floating toy. Our Chesapeake Bay/Labrador loves it and won't leave it inside when he goes out. He can chew it to pieces, so we throw it to give him exercise rather than leave him with it unsupervised. Moved house to Live by the sea, but my 8 year old dog couldnt swim, (she also had leg surgery which has given her arthritis) I wanted her to get some exercise in the water so brought her a life jacket and this as a last option after trial and error with balls, floats, toys etc but with no success or interest …… as shes a big wuss and a big dog this has been excellent and she is now swimming out to retrieve it and as its quite big and floats really well she can see it easily and loves going in the sea after it. Have had quite a few dummy's that work well for a couple of hours. Then destruction. Kong products are the most durable. Have made five trips to the ocean with many tosses and still looking good. never thought i would ever review a dog toy but here I am. : ) In short this is the best toy I have ever had and I have had dog(s) my entire life. How good you ask? Well it gets placed on top of the refrigerator every night or the dog will wake up to play a solo game of fetch. A 3 a.m. we wake to the sound of squeaks and growling. (He growls when joyful ) I have had the dog 8 weeks, the toy 3. I am going this week to buy 3 more. Life has been hard for this 4 year old pound puppy and I don't want him to have to live with the nightmare of having to live without this wonderful squeaky toy. Kozmo Kornelius King of the Woods of Rainier Loves to carry his bone around all day chewing and squeaking, never letting it out of his sight. This is so durable, he usually destroys similar toys with ease. He has tiny teeth, and a tiny jaw that is so powerful for a little doggy. He carries the bone and ball to his food and water dishes, only setting it down long enough to eat and drink. He talks to it, please don't leave me while he is eating or drinking. Often when I’m ordering a grocery delivery, I’ll peek at the dog toys just before finalizing my order. I have a 7 month old puppy, and while he certainly has enough toys, I’ll often grab something inexpensive to add to his pile and keep him entertained. I wasn’t 100% sure about this toy, since he’s never had a rubber chew toy, just plush ones, but such a low price, I figured we could try it out. And he LOVES it. See, he’s only 8 pounds and unlikely to get much bigger, and while he’s got some formidable little teeth, he’s jaw strength is relative to his size — not much at all. This rubber toy is filled with a super soft foam and a squeaker, and it was soft enough that my little guy could squeak it on his own — which is a big win when we can find a toy that works so well for him. The foam filling also gives it just a little weight, enough that he likes thrashing it around and showing off. And then there’s the shape… it’s great for unpredictable bouncing, so good in fact that my pup decided we needed to play fetch with it — and I hadn’t even taught him to fetch! He just loves the way it bounces all over the place when I toss it on the floor, so he grabs it, squeaks it, and hops back up on the couch to give it to me, so I can throw it down for him to chase and catch again. My pup loves to lick cheese , peanut butter it large treats from the ring. A piece of cheese in ring keeps her busy licking linger then any of her other toys. I live that it keeps her intention for more than 5-10 mins. The wider groves make it very easy to clean out any left behind treats as well.Juliana D.

My pups love the ring. But. The little loop on the top of ring is a no no. Took them a couple minutes to bite it right off. Watch for it so you can get that small piece anyway.. You needed a bigger size. Generally, I would recommend sizing up once or twice anyway. The smaller ones are too small and not as thick of material therefore easier for any size dog to tear up. Additionally, if the toy isn’t full of snacks, take it away. Don’t let them chew on the toy itself just as a chew toy. That is another reason why the toy may get damaged. If the dog is focused on getting the snack out, they’ll be much less focused on destructive behaviors and tearing things apart. If you have a puppy, remember they teethe and it HURTS. They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). Last thing to mention, is that if you really want to go with indestructible, prefer something that’ll keep them busy for a lot longer periods of time, then get the weighted feeder kong balls. I put some dog food into ours along with some soft small very strong smelling treats and my dogs work on this for HOURS. It’s how they get their meals or at least part of their meal each day. You can fed the whole meal this way if you want. They come in different sizes but the biggest size has worked perfectly for all of my dogs (weights range from 35 to 150lbs). They knock it over and the snack or treat falls out of a little hole. Then they keep working on it little by little, it’s really a great option for keeping them distracted! Just be sure to take it away when they’re not using it anymore so they don’t learn to guard it. This is true with any toy, treat, bone, or food. Offer a few times a day then take away when they’re no longer interested. Free feeding is one of the worst habits to start and makes it difficult for owners to tell quickly when something is off with their pet. I learned this the hard way! (Google this if you don’t believe me) I would still consider these Kong balls to be indestructible IF you use them properly. I have huge, strong dogs, a sharp toothed and very busy heeler and both have had theirs for 4 years without incident and not even a puncture mark into either one. I filled with “mini” milk bones and broken in half “small” milk bones but just read another reviewer said they freeze theirs with pnut butter and treats inside. Sounds messy but sounds like a great idea! Cant wait to try! Hope this helps!Momzymo

Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it's a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage. As I know a friend's dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.. this is a really good investment for your dog! We have found many creative ways to entertain our husky/German shep/malamute mutt who has high energy and high affinity to treats. 10/10 would recommend. There's also some Kong specific treats you can find meant to fit into the toy to make it very difficult for the dog to remove it. We like that there is a lot of creative ways to use it. We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention. Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It's just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.terri.n

This is the old classic rubber Kong dog toy. I have the regular size and the small size for my boxer and for my Boston terrier. Its shape causes it to bounce in random directions. My dog absolutely loves this toy. I've put everything in that thing. I have broken up some single ingredient treats and stuffed them in Kong. We refer to my dogs as having ADHD, or a very SHORT attention span, but not with this toy they absolutely love it!! . I put treats as well as peanut butter bananas or yogurt then put them in the freezer. The freezing slows down their ability to clean out the inside quickly so the game lasts a little longer. The rubber is hard enough so they cannot chew through it yet soft on their teeth and gums. The hole is large enough to easily fill the inside as well as wash out the inside after use. Definitely buy multiples so that there are some in the freezer ready to go on those hot days or on those days that you just need a little time to get something done while your dog is occupied. All in all I completely recommend these toys for all dogs of any shape and size.Ysabel

I have a pack of German Shorthaired Pointers and these balls are the only ones that last. The instant a regular tennis ball is in their mouths, it's toast! These chuckit balls just keep bouncing back. I only replace them due to loss, not damage.Sheridan

These are the best balls I have found for a dog that destroys tennis balls and any other kind of ball. They work well for the hard mouth dogs. They bounce really well too. These balls last, well worth the cost. My cattle dogs munches on them as he brings them back with no damage every time. The only reason we replace is if we lose them, but thats rare because the orange makes them stand out against grass. He only gets them when we play at the park each day, not for him in the yard which probably contributes to their longevity.Clare
