We adopted a long hair calico. She's 8 months old now. But she has ALWAYS had red eyes. We never knew what it was from. The vet never once mentioned allergies. 5he skin soother is a great as described! My pup got an abrasion on the side of her snout. The healing process made it itchy so she'd rub her face on the carpet thus rubbing off the scab and the wound would bleed and we had to start the healing process over. I put skin soother on her abrasion at bed time. The next morning it wasn't red and angry looking and she didn't rub her face on the carpet. Picture shown does not match description. I'm looking for an anti-itch spray. Bottle shows some sort of pills to calm your dogs allergy. Not sure why you don't have some sort of basic hydrocortisone spray for "hot-spot" or other itches. It works great and is inexpensive to buy.biff

My lab had hot spots recently. I bought this product and applied it to the affected area in addition to the antibiotic cream given by the vet. I have used the collars on my 4 cats after using your all in one flea remedy, I am constantly washing or treating bedding and carpets, have put out flea traps and diatomaceous earth, and have sprayed outside with nematodes that eat fleas…..I have also closed off the outside cat enclosure until the fleas are gone…..even though the traps are now catching very few fleas, the cats are still infested and are miserable. I comb them constantly for fleas, so I still see adults and new fleas, so I can see that the all in one flea remedy is not working…..things seem worse on the cats than before I started. I have just resorted to ordering Seresto collars which I did not want to do, because of toxicity, but I don't have a choice at this stage. I will have to feed them zeolite to help with toxins until the fleas are gone and then I will remove the collars for winter. Can I return the products for a refund? So, this stuff is basically diatomaceous earth in a fancier bottle and with some rosemary and lemon scent, priced WAY above what some plain DE would cost you at the hardware store. (You can get a 5lb bag for the cost of one canister of this). However, I purchased it knowing that, but because I needed to buy something else to get free shipping and I needed DE anyway. The point is, it WORKS. And, the canister this stuff comes in, coupled with the pleasant smell, does make it much easier to use than say the 5lb bag of DE at the hardware store would be. I purchased this along with Herbal Defense Spray and Herbal Defense Shampoo & Conditioner from All Natural Pet, and I've been very happy with the results. About three months or so ago, I was dealing with a mild flea problem that just would not away. It wasn't a severe problem, yet, but I obviously needed to nip it in the bud before it became one. It was to the point where I would find a flea or two on the dog every time I checked. I tried the nasty chemical spot-ons, and not only did they NOT work at ALL, they made our poor Jack Russell Terrier so sick I actually had to rush her to the emergency vet one night because she wouldn't stop throwing up! I didn't realize immediately that the spot-on flea treatments were to blame, and the vet couldn't figure out what was going on, either. My standard poodle suffers from outdoor allergies. After battling them all summer the vet just said to double up on benadryl. I felt like I was drugging my dog. I saw an ad for these chews and thought it would be a better option to at least give it a try. My boy wasn't sure about the taste the first day and I had to wrap it in cheese. The second day, and every day since, he's gobbled it right down just like a treat! To test the results I totally stopped the benadryl and only gave him these chews. He only showed minor symptoms a couple of different occassions in which I went ahead and gave him a single dose of bendryl as needed. But the majority of days were symptom free (his biggest symptom is chewing his paws) and no benadryl needed. What's even better? Wow is right, because I am floored at how well this works! I have 2 pups with horrible allergies – one that nothing else works for. I've tried all different meds, including shots, and she still suffered horribly during allergy season. I reluctantly decided to try this, but we were in the middle of allergy season, and watching her suffer is just too much. Fast forward to July 2019, and my order came in the mail. I gave two of the chewables to my pup the next morning, not expecting much, but just hoping that there would at least be a little relief. Much to my surprise, she didn't scratch AT ALL that day!! Purchased this product with not much confidence made a huge difference in my GSD allergies. Sprayed on the area he was chewing when he would begin chewing. It gave him instant relief, he now comes to get the area sprayed when he chews. I am going to use the same product which is an ointment to see how well it does. Rosebud was biting at her nether parts due to itching. This applied liberally relieved her jitters. I got this because we had two other dogs several years ago who were both affected by itching in different doggy-parts (stomach, behind, etc) and I used a similar product for them which also worked well. Weve had a recent battle with fleas and how ever many vet standard flea treatments we used they didnt work. we used several very strong toxic products for the house and they didnt seem to do anything apart from make us feel nauseous. Seemingly after a spraying of this stuff it all seemed to stop, the scratching, the headaches. I so wanted this product to work but don't waste your money. I followed the instructions & doused our dog's bedding etc. with this spray. The smell is not unpleasant but it is very, very strong and took days to be bearable. Anyway, a few days later, when we found an engorged tick on the dog (thanks, Frontline) we experimented by putting it in a plastic bag & spritzing the Tropiclean into the baggie. Hey, it says "guaranteed," so we wanted to find out. More than 36 hours later, the tick was still waving its legs. When I called to order this product, I was first told to use mattress encasing against dust mite allergens…. and I agree, but only after using this product to kill the dust mites. I have used Happy Jack 40+ years but after moving off the farm 15 years ago forgot all about it and began using holistic medications, etc. Well, I do rescue and got a little jack russell with 70% of her body scarlet, oozie red, infected red ears, thick red, hairless legs, tail, chest and face. She had been ill for so long her skin was very thick and discolored. I spent hundred of dollars for 4 months without results then ran across Happy Jack again in the Tractor Supply. I bought mange medicine instead of the dip I had used before and, within 32 (I counted them) hours, her itching has stopped, her skin is now pink not red and her little swollen paws and now a normal size. I will continue to use according to the directions to make sure this is gone but might switch to the dip to treat her in 30 day cycles. If you love your dog and mange is a problem, save your money, and buy this product it saved Lulu's life, she was so severe and in distress that I had considered putting down.Russellwrangler

My dog was scratching constantly causing hot spots an scratches that bled a little not to mention she had this smell that's was offensive. I tried other products and then I heard of this one from a friend, bought it and brought home and put it in a spray bottle to evenly spray her entire body (except in her ears, eyes, mouth or sanitary areas) and to my surprise I Seen instant relief for her and she was able to sleep peacefully and so was I. Would I recommend this product ? Yes, yes I would.. FYI.. You might want to buy a few bottles because you'll have to make sure your pet is wet and massage it into their skin (use gloves) might want to cover areas where your offer lays until your pet is dry. Leave on your pet for 3 days… You'll notice flakes (scabs) that's normal, wash your pet.. Let them dry completely and repeat the happy Jack mange medication. You'll start to notice the hair growing back. You'll be happy and your pet will be happy an you will have saved alot of $ then you would had you went to a vet. I bought all mange treatments from happy jack… I have a white pit with enlarged paw found out it was NOT yeast like the lying vet said it was…..another vet told me it was cancer? only after years of bull! money sucking vet visits! to find out it was mange attacking the animals for YEARS ! I am now treating the mange with some visible results Ill write another review in a few weeks as this is the protocol on the packets on line it says as mange is killed the mange will not be happy causing your pet to sleep a lot and making the mange lay eggs and burro trying to escape the most important part is to vacuum and bathe! the animals i'm giving it the happy jack EXPENSIVE remedy I'm not convinced yet though….. like the other reviews!Gail multi pet owner

Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. It’s pricey but so worth every penny. Vet believes he’ll need to stay on it until we see at least two morning frosts.Diane Y

I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I ordered this for my elderly Boston Terrier. She has always struggled with skin and allergy issues, but they've gotten increasingly worse with age. I've used these before in a cup style packaging. These larger quantity cone in a bag. The products work great and help my lab stop scratching. But the 4 bags I ordered were smashed into a small shipping bag with very little protection. When the product arrived I noticed the was A LOT of broken pieces and the bottom of the bag is full of granules from other broken bits too. Very disappointed my so looks forward to the treat each night so this stinks I need a spoon to scoop out the granules and put it on her food instead! I've opened the second bag it's very much the same very bad shipping! !!!! Minus 2 stars for bad shipping!Jennifer R.

I have a German Shepherd with very itchy allergies. I bought this product on clearance but it was powder form. It worked really good and he had such relief. He’s been off it for 2 weeks and is crying from discomfort again. So whatever makes him happy and comfortable I’ll be buying this product for him.Melissa A

Great solution for anxious dogs. Our Sheltie/German Shepard Dog Mix tends to lick a specific spot on her foreleg to the point of licking away skin and generating abrasions on exposed skin. This product has helped us manage this behavior to the point of fur having grown back over the location and her dramatic reduction in this behavior without outward symptoms or side-effects. I stopped into my local Petco store and the Just Food For Dogs rep recommended this for my dog's separation anxiety. She said she used it for her dog and it worked great. It does not work at all for my dog and it will be getting returned today. I do not recommend this to anyone.Siamese1127

I had high hopes for this to work with my year old lab. He suffers from outdoor allergies. I felt like this product made it worst for him. He was itching like crazy. As soon as I stopped giving these supplements, his itching subsided but yet still scratching, so off again I go to look for something to help with his allergies. A friend recommended this since it worked miracles for her dog. This product may work for others but unfortunately not mine.LuckyNV
