We have a Great Dane that weighs 185lbs and he is quite lanky and tall, so finding something that accomodates him was not easy. This crate fits the bill. If I had to find a negative, it would be that he has to lay corner to corner in order to stretch out; but if he curls up, he is fine.This crate is going to take up ALOT OF ROOM! We knew when we ordered it that it was huge, but after it was set up, it was still a little shocking to see how much space it took up. If space is at a premium in your house, I would actually measure out how much room this crate will use before you order it, because I think you will be surprised!That being said, we are very pleased with it. It is exactly what we expected and is perfect for our Great Dane. It shipped to us within a week. Don't forget to purchase the crate tray, as they are sold separately and do not come with the crate. This kennel is HUGE! and totally worth the money (which is the best price out there) It is perfect for our Mastiff it gives him plenty of space to lay down and stretch out. and he still has room to grow. Delivery was super fast. It did take two of us to put it together but it wasn't hard It only took about 15 minutes. The only issue we had was that the front panel with the door the top clips are backwards so it doesn't hold the top like it should (you can't set anything on the top or it sags a little bit) so we just put a zip tie on it and it works great. I'm positive they would send us a new one if we requested it but it doesn't impair the structural integrity of the kennel so we didn't bother to ask. Other than that it is great and very sturdy Which we needed it to be cause our boy is a rough and tumble gentle giant with tons of puppy energy.morningstar2000
Be warned that these are a nightmare, the sizes quoted are wrong and they do not match the crate sizes stated. Why they sell them by the length of the crate when they need to fit across the width is beyond me but we had to get the 76 cm to get the right width for the 91 cm crate and it still didn't fit. Also they are too tight top to bottom so you can't remove a mattress for washing without taking it out. Poor design all round.Janet

terrible! did not last 16 hrs literally . my puppy was able to chew thru it in no time at all . maybe it's my fault I should have just went with metal and not something nicer looking . There are a few things you need to know about this product before purchasing… 1. It says it can fit a 18-50lb dog in here, but I disagree. It’s a little smaller than I was expecting, so I say a 30lb MAX could fit in here depending on the dog. 2. There is NO bottom piece, ONLY a plastic tray. I was expecting a bottom piece under the plastic tray, but I understand that it is for easy cleanup reasons. I just bought this kennel for my dog, it lasted 3 months. When it arrived I noticed right away that the quality was not as sturdy as our other kennels. The wires/ bars are thinner than what I would say is the norm. My other 2 are definitely thicker. This is already falling apart. 2 small bars are broken off and the bottom bar under the door detached from the frame leaving this basically useless and not safe for my dog anymore. Cage came in a beat up box taped together, which could have been shipping company, but that's doubtful, read on. When we unpacked it appeared the cage had been used. The metal tray was bent on all 4 corners, we had to duct tape corners so it wouldn't cut our dog. The end side with door was so bent we had to get pliers and try to unbend just to get door to latch. It is still not flush. One of the bars on same door side was not even attached on one side, also had to duct tape that so it wouldn't poke into my dog. All the latches and where cage attaches together the metal was rubbed down to bare metal. I was in a jam and needed to use this so I have not contacted company but will NEVER buy from them again.Susan
I am a professional dog trainer who deals mainly with aggression problems in large breeds. Would I put a clients dog in this kennel…never…..it is not made for that purpose. It is rather flimsy, and noisy. However, it was just what I needed for my gigantic German Shepherd dog, as it provided the space he needed, and I knew he would never try to escape, fall over on it, collapsing the sides, or walk through the walls. Buy it only for crate trained animals, and dogs who will not test boundaries. It is not suitable for pups who are active. We have a powerfully built 40 pound mutt who can muscle her way out of her old crate by popping the single latched door open. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09

He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. I almost did not purchase this crate due to the multiple bad reviews. Glqd I purchased it qnyway. Other than the people who recieved damaged or warped crates, I'm not sure why there are so many reviews claiming it is difficult to assemble. I'm 4'11", 90 lbs, had 3 kids under 5 in the same room, and I assembled it alone without any real difficulties. The aforementioned children are in one of the review photos to show the enormity of the crate. The 9 month old Great Dane is in the other photo. Luckily for me, besides a slightly warped top piece, none of my pieces were bent, warped, or broken. Took about 30-40 minutes to assemble. Certainly would have been faster if I'd had someone helping, like the manual recommends.Brooke

So thankful for this crate set. It came just in time for us to take a last minute 8-10 hour round trip. I was glad to be able to leave our pup at home with food and water! Purchased the 48” and the bowls are giant! Great for lots of water but silly looking for only 1-1.5 cups of dry food. The cover is nicer in person, I was afraid it was going to look like a tarp or plastic garbage bag but it’s good quality. Super easy setup, this is folding even though it’s not in the title. My pup does try to chew it a bit but so far no damage. I did have to remove the bed because he was clawing it and eating the fibers that he pulled off. I did wash the bed and lay in sun to dry. Washed well. Divider easy to use. This is my first ever wire crate. The least likeable part is how easy it is for my kids to open anytime they want. Wish there was a child lock! Haha. My pup is a Lab/Border Collie/hound mix. Went with 48” because I have no idea how big he will get. The height is perfect because he is super tall. I used divider cutting off about 6-8 inches and he has room to stretch.Rogue4
Bought this crate for my severely anxious beagle. We were at our wits end with the messes in the house and broken crates. I know Petco has no control over my boy's anxiety, but they made a crate kit that is affordable, arrived quickly, and is the perfect size for him. The crate cover and bed (in my opinion is what gave him more comfort) Super fast setup is also a big plus considering we travel and need a crate that works with us. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I was quite disappointed in the whole experience. Apparently the merchandise was supposed to be checked if the box was damaged and that wasn’t done in this case.Janice

This crate surpassed my expectations. It is sturdy and the door closures are secure. The three door feature is more of a nice-to-have than a need for me, but it has been useful from time to time. I was concerned that the metal crate would be noisy, it is not unless our dog is unusually restless. When that happens I need to be awake to take care of him anyway, so that's a no-big-deal for me. Currently considering the purchase of the 4000 for home use and leaving the 3000 in the truck cab permanently. Highly recommended.lgriz326
This crate offers the options of opening on the front, side and top. I find that to be very useful in the car and at home. Especially with puppies, I can put a litter in via the top and get then in and out one at a time with out chasing pups, or opening and closing a side door. It is well made also.Duchdog

Some dogs just don't quite fit into the size charts in the way other dogs do. Our dog Angel, a mountain cur, is one of those dogs. Weight wise, Angel is comfortably in the medium category but she's tall and lanky so she always had to hunch over in her medium crate. This larger crate is a perfect height for the needed room. We bought this product mostly because of the vertical lift feature of the door hinge and the two-door access options which is great for all sorts of configurations (against different walls, corners etc). We like the size and customizable interior of the XL crate for our growing puppy (husky/shepard mix). This is definitely an at home crate vs. care crate. The only issue we have is that compared to our first crate (same company, large single door, 2 locks) is that this crate is very rattly. We crate our dog during sleeping hours and every time he kicks in his sleep or adjusts, it makes a clangy metallic sound that wasn't expected. I bought 2 of these to use as bedside tables. My dogs and cats like to lay in a crate. This would would not work if you had to crate your pet to prevent destructive behavior, it would be very easy to chew through. I also like that it is plastic as I have older animals who have accidents sometimes so it will be easy to clean! Looks very nice as well! Easy to assemble but the instructions could use some work for people who dont often assemble furniture. Also the holes for the lock were not drilled correctly on mine, they were about 1” too close together so I had to drill 2 of my own.Rachael
