Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. It’s pricey but so worth every penny. Vet believes he’ll need to stay on it until we see at least two morning frosts.Diane Y

I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I highly recommend trying this if your pets dr thinks it's a good fit.michelle.e

Our lab was taking shots at the vet monthly for joint pain that started around 13 years old, eventually they also prescribed pain pills to take as needed. She no longer needs the shots. Our vet suggested this product after her shots were not as effective, she was slow getting around. She no longer needs the shots, lab will be 15 in three months and she has been jogging when outside playing in the last several months and we cannot remember the last time she was able to do that. While this product is a bit expensive, as everything else is that my vet wants me to put my dog on, the product does help a lot. I can tell a difference between now and before my 11year old dachshund started this product. He is also taking Phycox with it for his joints. He was taking Phycox first, but it didn't help enough…maybe because of his age and problems worsening with age. He is walking better and sometimes runs around playing. He had a hard time going up and down steps outside to go potty. My vet wanted me to keep him from going up and down steps or jumping up or down on furniture. Dachshunds shouldn't be doing this anyways because of their predisposition to back and joint issues. I still try to keep him from going up or down steps, even though he is doing better. But, since taking this product, he doesn't always wait for me at bottom of steps to pick him up, as he used to do when in more pain. I just ensure I keep watch to try and catch him before he gets to the steps. So, I know it is helping. He doesn't limp nearly as much now. He only limps a little here and there. He was limping almost all the time before the Movoflex. I'd also like to mention that prices on eBay have already started going up since my dog started taking this product about 6 months ago. So, when I found this pack of two that is just a little cheaper, I made the purchase. Every dollar counts when your pets are taking meds that cost more than my copays/meds. I should also add that, per my vet's recommendation, when purchasing things like this on eBay, you should always call the company that makes the product to confirm the lot# and expiration date on container, so you will know for sure it is real product, and can have eBay make them return your money if it isn't. Many people will sell products to us and they are not the real thing. Pets could be taking something that isn't even what you thought you bought. This is nothing against any one seller, but there are sellers out there who do this.69dodge71

I have tried other products that contain glucosamine chondroitin and MSM but I found that nothing was as helpful to my dogs CCL treatment as this product. Whatever they use in this product, I find, is more effective than other products I have used.Maureen

My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. My vet recommended Phycox Max joint chews several years ago. My golden retriever has taken them daily since. She gets one right after her morning feeding and barks at me if she thinks I have forgotten. She is 12 years old now and moves around better than most dogs her age.Kitty

Très bon produit! Mon chien qui reste humide très longtemps a tendance à avoir la peau qui macére avec mauvaise odeur et grattage associés! J'utilise ce produit depuis 2 semaines maintenant ! My Labrador had stitches in her front leg right on the ankle joint so it was at high risk of infection as very close to the bone. I was hoping this would negate the need for the huge buster collar however, she would still lick at it through the sleeve and make it wet therefore increasing the risk of infection to the wound. She therefore still had to wear the buster collar as well as the sleeve to stop her licking it. Within a couple of days, there was a hole in the material of the sleeve and since then, a further tear has developed, so the quality of the material is not that good. She has also worked out how to get her leg out of it so all in all, it hasn’t been that great! That said, I would still recommend using one as it was better than not having the wound covered at all but for me, it didn’t negate the need for a buster collar unfortunately.Julieann

1 Very happy owner and one calm snoring Dog. He`s been at the top of his leg the last few days and licked it raw . No socks long enough and a long sleeved T shirt was not a success . Ordered this sleeve out of desperation . Money well spent ….. came in a flash and as soon as I put it on he seemed really excited and happy, running round barking the way he does before we go a walk. Now he`s sleeping and not looked at his leg once. Its made of a sweatshirt type fabric , the leg size is more important than body girth as there is lots of Velcro and poppers so easy to adjust so it fits comfortably , I`m glad I did not go for the XL as his chest measurement was borderline the L fits perfectly. Tip to anyone whose dog is prone to chewing….. Deep Heat spray a little on the outside of the fabric& let it dry before you put it on them. Dogs don't like the smell and wont lick /Chew.Mary

This item was recommended by a vet as my dog wouldn’t stop licking an open sore. We tried the common collar but she’s just too old for that and it was distressing for us both. Our 15 year old golden retriever corgi is increasingly having issues with his hind legs and mobility can be very difficult. He needs most help when he is going in and out of a car via a ramp, in and out of the bath, and on bad mobility days we need something to help us get him outside to go to toilet – we basically use the handles to keep him upright in order to do his business. This definitely helps but with modifications for the latter task. Duke is long bodied and wide like a golden retriever but with very short legs and is about 50 pounds, so he needs support all along his body and we have to get the XL size to fully accommodate his length, it is a bit big at the front and does look like we have turned him in to a duffle bag, but that's part of the fun. The issue is when we need to take him to toilet using it, and I've had to cut a rectangle in the middle of it, between the straps, to allow him to be able to relieve. It washes great in the machine and even with the cut out the material has retained strength and hasn't frayed. We are lucky that our guy is no more than 50 pounds, I can't imagine managing this condition with a heavier dog. Even at that weight it is a bit of a struggle, but this certainly makes it seem less like he is being hurt as we do it. It is all very stable and everything is equally supported without any 'yelps', which wasn't the case with others. So it works very well for us and we are very thankful to have found it (we now have three of them).LainieA51

Have a beagle with hind leg, disk issues. Tried a vet two-piece harness & that was impossible to get around his legs & then his tail, too. I read a review by someone saying this one is hard to put on, but trust me, compared to the trapeze contraption- it’s cake. And you’ll learn better ways of placing it under their belly & then slipping their front legs through. This one-piece, I find, is also easier to manipulate to allow added pressure or remove pressure. Most handy when he’s pooping & can’t handle the squatting. Anyway, my guy at the smaller size of medium & so like Houdini he manages to get his front paws out of the holes & either wears it like a tu-tu sometimes or w/ one paw out, trips across it. Larger, medium size dogs, more toward 50 lbs & longer probably get a great fit. Other critique is a nice V-cut in underside toward back would be great to still allow support – but prevent guy dogs from possibly peeing on it. In all: great aid & it helps my wife lift him into the truck when we use it as Orvis thought it’d be used.GerryB

We bought this for our fur baby after she had spaying surgery and it was amazing. Not only was it easy to use but it helped keep her calm and comfortable during her healing time. Adopted a black mouth cur from the shelter. Escape artist, separation anxiety to the maximum. First time I put the shirt on her, I left her in the car while I ran into the store (no, it wasn't hot out! and I wasn't long. but I'd be wondering the same, reading the above!) I purchased the ThunderShirt for my dog's anxiety over fireworks. I tried to get my dog accustomed to it before putting it on her as the instructions stated but she ran away every time even when it was paired with treats and I was just holding it up. Despite this, I put the ThunderShirt on her the night of the 4th of July fireworks. I also added the calming spray to the area on the shirt as indicated. She was very anxious the whole night. However, the next night I put the shirt on her again and she calmed down quickly despite neighbors setting off fireworks. This was repeated the next night as well. We have not needed to use it since then but will use it when thunderstorms are predicted and when she needs to go in the car to see if that will help with her car sickness. I recently adopted 2 retired greyhounds and noticed my female would hide and pant before and during rainstorms. I bought these just a few weeks before July 4th since the firecrackers were already starting to explode in our neighborhood and my male grey refused to walk after hearing pops and getting spooked. I got 2 in XL: one in Camo with orange stripes and the sport in platinum which has a quilted weave and feels thicker so I could see if they had any preference since they both fit on either dog (they like them both). Just followed the directions for wrapping the shirts and it seemed to instantly calm my girl down to the point where she doesn’t want to take it off though eventually she lets me. I’m not sure it helps my male so much since it’s gotten so hot out that I won’t add an extra layer on them in this heat and cause them to have heat stroke but I put it on them during stormy weather and they both really like wearing the shirts which surprised me so I think he likes it too. Great surgical suit. Good quality material and workmanship plus it looks fabulous! If your dog needs to wear something to stop them interfering with incisions post surgery then this suit works a treat and is much kinder to them than the dreaded cone. Very glad I purchased this. Just a shame the post strike delayed it arriving, but it was still very much required.Michael P.

My Lurcher Heidi had to have a mammary tumour removed. She was terrified wearing an Elizabethan collar. So I got her a Buster collar but being long nosed Sighthound and with a flexable neck she could reach her stitches. The "Suitical" vest I got her from D forDog was absoulutley amazing. Comfy, stretchy and easy to wash and dry. It covered the area allowing healing . For toileting I just un-did the press studs and took her back legs out of the garment and rolled the Suitical back to her shoulders. Then when she had been to the toileting area I simply rolled it back and put her back legs through and did the garment up. It was similiar to a childs body suit. I can't praise this garment enough. Overnight was no problem as she slept in it as so comfy.Sue
