I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I highly recommend trying this if your pets dr thinks it's a good fit.michelle.e

I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Im not a vet but am thinking whatever it was it was some type of fungal infection. Benefits of product; it wasnt expensive, was easy to apply, and has a light pleasant scent.Debbie

I am so thankful to have found this today! My poor dog could not stop scratching and licking under his front legs, and they were raw and bleeding. He was whimpering but would not stop. I came home and sprayed the areas with this, and he didn’t freak out like I thought so I know it didn’t hurt! He became calm and only tried to lick a few times before he relaxed and rested. Purchased this product with not much confidence made a huge difference in my GSD allergies. Sprayed on the area he was chewing when he would begin chewing. Rosebud was biting at her nether parts due to itching. This applied liberally relieved her jitters. Our 5 yr old cat Mystic was vomiting a lot, like 2 -3 times a day, she ended up vomiting no food but only a bile like smelly mess. After doing some research online, I bought this to heal myself of arthritic burrs, plantar facets, Achilles tendonitis, hip and back pain. I mixed it with 30% almond oil and some lavender oil. I have been rubbing it on affected areas 2x a day and I am seeing amazing healing all over. I have to be careful and only used the almond oil if my hands get weird looking from rubbing all over my body. The pharmaceutical companies must really hate how cheap this stuff is! This is an awesome product. DMSO won't fix everything. I give it a try and move on if it fails. I had a sprained ankle and could not walk. Two applications of DMSO two hours apart and I was walking on the ankle. I had a persistent brown spot on my forehead for years. Friends kept telling me to see a skin doctor. I put the D.M.s.o. in a sterilized roller bottle. When I use it I make sure the area is clean . .D.M.S.O. has its own set of rules it will take in with it anything on the skin or on your hand for at least one min. So keeping the area clean is a must . Otherwise it only takes 2 min. to work. tendons and muscles that might not be tight . I have found that the only thing that helped me was D.M.S.O. My use on it for my dog has been remarkable. My dog has gone from the disabled category to walking without pain. I highly recommend this product. I’ve been using Zymox for years. My terrier mix has Ear Edge Dermatitis. It’s incurable and usually tears up the edges of the ear from constant cell overgrowth (auto immune) and dogs will be plagued with constant ear issues and itching. I had used this before, without success for my cocker spaniel. So, this was my 2nd attempt. It worked great in 1 ear, but not the other. I used it for 14 days, and on day 15, the infection was back in the one ear, but gone in the other. Product works great on certain infections, but not for others unfortunately. I've always liked Zymox products, but this one really impressed me! GSD/BC mix has had continual ear issues since having a hematoma drained in her right ear. The ear lays over and is full of thicker tissue which seems to hold in a ton of moisture. This last bout of pain and scratching was making her (and me!) absolutely crazy and, after a week of use, the regular Zymox I always have on hand just wasn't cutting it. I did a bit of searching and found the Zymox plus advanced formula and figured I'd give that a try before resorting to a vet visit, antibiotics, steroid drops, etc. After the second day of use, she stopped shaking her head, scratching and whining. My trainer uses Vetrolin Shine on all of her horses and highly recommended this product to me. I agree with other reviewers that state there is a "medicine-like" smell to the product. There is an herbal, astringent quality that may bother some people however I don't mind it. I think the product works fairly well; there is a soft shine to the coat with no greasy or grimy film left behind. I like to use it in combination with conditioner and Cowboy Magic Detangler & Shine on my horses mane and tail, as well as using it in areas that may need extra "slip" to prevent rubbing (such as the Pessoa training system–which is amazing!).Michi

It gives my thoroughbred's coats a beautiful shine and keeps his mane and tail lying flat and SO easy to brush out. With continued use it's helped him repel dust and keep his tail tangle free. We gave Nutramax Cosequin to old German Shepherd and Australian cattle dogs that have since passed on because it gave them relief from joint pain that was obvious in the improvement in their ability to get up and lie down and run again. I'm giving maintenance doses of Dasuquin to two large dogs we have now that are age 4 and 5yr to extend the life of their joints. The ingredients are similar to human nutritional supplements for older people: Glucosamine, chondroitin, brewers yeast, dextrose, green tea extract, gum resin, lecithin, cellulose, mixed tocopherols, flavoring and soy protein. avocado/soybean unsaponifiables (ASU) ….. I just need to give a major shout out to this amazing company! My Tika girl was having chronic diarrhea. She is now 10 years old and I was convinced there was something majorly wrong with her. Hi! A miracle has occurred in Forest Hills! I took Baci on a long walk in the hope of increasing her appetite and then fed her Canine Health. I used raw lamb as a protein and then added a couple of the freeze dried tripe pieces, Runs Be Done and a little liverwurst. Well to my amazement she actually ate the food! I am a little concerned about the liverwurst because of the toxins in the liver, but it was only about an ounce. Separate the treated dog from all other dogs and cats for 24 hours after treatment has been applied. How to Open: Remove product tubes from the package. Separate one tube from the others. Hold the tube with notched end pointing up and away from the face and body. Use scissors to cut off the narrow end at the notches along the line. How to Apply: Invert tube over dog and use open end to part dog's hair. Squeeze tube firmly to apply all of the solution to the dog's skin, as directed below. Do not apply more often than once every 4 weeks. Only for Dogs Weighing 45-88 lbs. Do not apply to dogs weighing less than 45 lbs. Apply one tube (0.091 fl oz)(2.68 ml) as a spot to the dog's back between the shoulder blades. Frequency of Application: Use this product monthly for complete control of flea, tick, and chewing lice infestations. Studies show that this product kills adult fleas for up to three months. Apply monthly if your dog is at high risk for flea reinfestation. Apply monthly to control ticks and chewing lice. This product remains effective even after bathing, water immersion, or exposure to sunlight. Allow treated area to dry thoroughly. Do not reapply for thirty (30) days. Storage and Disposal: Pesticide Storage: Do not remove tube from the pack until ready to use. Store in a cool (below 77 degrees F/25 degrees C), dry place inaccessible to children and pets. Do not refrigerate. Protect from direct sunlight. Container Disposal: If Empty: Non-refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Offer for recycling if available. If Partly Filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.

If your dog is exhibiting signs of and/or is being treated for skin dermatitis, talk to your veterinarian before applying any topical flea and tick control product. First Aid: If Swallowed: Call a poison control center or a doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If in Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water. Call a doctor if irritation persists. If on Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. Hot Line Number: Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor, or going for treatment. You may also contact 1-888-908-Tick (8425) for emergency medical treatment information. Side Effects: Monitor your dog after application. Some dogs may experience temporary startle effects when any product is applied. Dogs may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application such as redness, scratching or other signs of discomfort. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your dog with a mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If these or other side effects occur, consult your veterinarian or call 1-888-908-Tick (8425). If your dog has an unusual reaction to the initial application, consult a veterinarian before repeating application. The most common signs of incidental ingestion are excessive salivation and foaming at the mouth. If these symptoms occur, immediately feed your dog and continue to monitor your dog for the next 24 hours. Do not use on cats. Keep cats away from treated dogs for 24 hours. If applied to a cat or ingested by a cat, contact your veterinarian.

I needed to use this product for some time to appreciate its abilities. My dog likes to spend time outside rolling around and doing dog things. This leads to her coming into the house, tracking dirt and the pesky fleas. We've done well to mitigate it in the past, but PetArmor helped in the process. Within a few days, we noticed that she would not be scratchy when coming back into the house, then we didn't have to treat her bedding as much. Very nice! This went on for a few weeks, and eventually, there were no signs of fleas or scratching! It's been a great summer, and we look forward to a flea-free fall. In the past, I have given my dog oral medication to prevent flea and ticks. It worked well but I was never comfortable with the fact that he had to ingest the medicine. I decided we’d use a topical solution for this summer and this is working great so far. The application was easy and the the applicator worked well. I’ve had to apply a different brand on foster puppies in the past and sometimes, the liquid would just all flow right out during the first contact, leaving no medicine for the rest of the dog’s back. It wasn’t the case with PetArmor. I had good control to dispense the product with their applicator. My dog had no discomfort whatsoever on the application sites. The product didn’t leave his coat all oily or smelly. I love that you can scan a QR code in the box and the brand will send a text 30 days later as a reminder for when the next dose is due. Their formula contains Fipronil and (S)-methoprene like most expensive well-known brands but at a more affordable cost. Finally something that works consistently. After trying probably 10-15 brands of flea and tick stuff for my Dogs this is the company I come back to. Ive tried expensive stuff, Ive tried dirt cheap stuff. This works and works FAST. I actually have to put my dogs out if they have fleas on them at all. Within 30 minutes they are jumping off to get away and die. Weve had issues with super fleas here in northeast USA where the only thing Ive found to work is old fashion dawn dish soap and salt.Ive literally spread salt on all my floors so it looks like snow and left it sit over night then vacuum it up and then mop with dawn dish soap, everyday for over a week straight. This stuff not only took care of the fleas on the dogs and cats but the ones in the house would jump on the dogs would die to. Havent had an issue since.Corvet08
