Bought my 5lb toy poodle one in small. Loved the idea of the fleece vest with a ring to attach a leash so you don’t have to put a harness over it. However, the sizing is weird. The leg and neck openings are very big and the chest fit is snug causing it to bunch and gap. It runs long also, but I don’t mind that. I’ll keep it, but I am disappointed in the fit. I have bought these vests in multiple colors over the past two years (have 3 rescue dogs). They are warm, fit well and do not drag on the ground, have a sturdy loop to attach a leash, and wash up very well and can be put in the dryer. I wish they would make even more colors than they do! XL fits the average cocker spaniel up to 25 lbs. while Large fits a small cocker up to 17 lbs. So for anyone with a truly large dog, these sizes will not fit. My Bichoodle, Magnus, has very long legs with fur that attracts iceballs…these pants have legs that are longer than any snowsuit I have found. I must say that the straps over the back were too difficult for me to open but this was easily resolved by replacing them with velcro. These pants do not restrict his movement at all. Bought a medium for my Chihuahua and a large pink for my spaniel. All within the guidelines of the size chart. Previously bought 2 gooby winter parkas. They fit M and L, but were on the small side. Seeing these with expandable knit on the underside seemed a good idea to give both pups a little more room. The Medium is hamster sized (a bit of a exaggeration, but you get the point). This has been the best pfd for our Catahoula Leopard. It has survived a full summer of kayaking, swimming, and running through the tall grass and brush along the shoreline…and it still looks and works like it did the first time we put it on her. This is a wonderful hoodie and indeed is very soft inside. My Kaya loves it so much that she wants to wear it to sleep at night. Bought my 5lb toy poodle one in small. Loved the idea of the fleece vest with a ring to attach a leash so you don’t have to put a harness over it. However, the sizing is weird. The leg and neck openings are very big and the chest fit is snug causing it to bunch and gap. It runs long also, but I don’t mind that. I’ll keep it, but I am disappointed in the fit. The 2 stretch fleece vests by Gooby without the leash ring that I purchased in small fit my dog perfectly. I’ll stick with those, the sizing is accurate.Jody J
I have bought these vests in multiple colors over the past two years (have 3 rescue dogs). They are warm, fit well and do not drag on the ground, have a sturdy loop to attach a leash, and wash up very well and can be put in the dryer. I wish they would make even more colors than they do! XL fits the average cocker spaniel up to 25 lbs. while Large fits a small cocker up to 17 lbs. So for anyone with a truly large dog, these sizes will not fit. They also go on the dog very easy and stay in place. There is another variant with a hood as well.1eshaness
