My cat had missed her box in a storage room and as I tried to clean it up it spread underneath various storage containers. I washed the vinyl floor with vinegar and water twice without success. The maintenance person suggested this product. After taking everything out of the room I sprayed it heavily an d left it for 15 minutes and then dried it. The next morning I could still smell some urine so I repeated heavily spraying and letting it sit for 15 minutes and then drying it. There is no more smell at all. After having carpet cleaned due to soiling from older dog we had a very strong smell of ammonia in the house. After trying multiple products that failed we were ready to tear out the carpet and pad. I have a small male cat whose age was a little hard for myself and my local vet to pin down in his first few visits. It turns out that although my cat is awfully small, and despite him being cute to where my neighbors think he is a female, he is very much a full grown Tom Cat at this point. He needs to be neutered, but his appointment is still some months away and apparently last month he just decided to become an aggressively territorial little meany and he started spraying anything left unattended whenever he didn't get what he wanted. Mail, packages, a cookie tin (I was also confused at this one), baskets of laundry, a plastic grocery bag, and my entire living room became his primary targets. Up until now I had tried using everything to remove the smell and nothing would work. I'd deep clean the whole apartment, take a walk outside to neutralize my nose, and open my front door again to just be greeted by the same persistent cat spray stench.Cue Angry Orange. I read the reviews and instructions and basically deduced that this should NEVER be used on untreated wood and plastic. Using a little math from the guidelines on the back of the bottle I used 2 Tablespoons (measured with metal measuring spoons) in 16 Ounces of warm water inside of a glass spray bottle ***.it's perfect! I sprayed the carpeted areas I knew for sure that he had targeted heavily and I even sprayed some onto a rag to wipe down nearby hard surfaces and walls that may have been caught in the crossfire. I kid you not it worked almost immediately. Even after initially spraying I smelled the horrendous cat spray stench after a panicked search I found a literal gooey sticky puddle of cat urine that had congealed *retch* under a glass vase. I sprayed the vase and washed it down, plus I sprayed the surface it was sitting on and wiped it clean ***.gone Perfect. Absolutely KILLED the stank.Once the carpets dried I used my carpet shampooer (Hoover PowerDash for Pets) with just warm water and a bit of urine neutralizer and the results are great! Just make sure to fully empty and clean your shampooer afterwards to avoid the plastic destruction other reviews have shown. It's not advisable to use Angry Orange directly in these types of machines as Orange oil/peels are somewhat caustic.H2O

My 82 year old mother-in-law has 3 dogs in the house, and they have had regular accidents during training. As soon as you walked in the house, you could smell the funky odor that resulted. It was really bad.I bought this, and four spray bottles at the dollar store. Mixing it this way was a breeze. Dividing the bottle into fourths, then just adding water was all that was required.My wife and mother-in-law sprayed it on very heavily and scrubbed it in once the base padding and carpet was soaked thoroughly. An ultraviolet light in a darkened room is very helpful looking for missed stains.The very next day, the house had a very pleasing orangey citrus smell. The dogs are now completely housebroken, and best of all that nasty smell was gone.I have to admit that I thought it would require removing the carpet and padding to be rid of the smell. Our cat of 5 years decided to start peeing on the carpet out of no where. I can't be 100% sure why she started doing this, but I assume it's because she's a cat, and I had the nerve to come home after work one day and pet her in a way where she would be forever disgusted with me. I shouldn't have expected too much, the enzyme cleaner was only like $50.00. Fast forward a day or two, and the carpet smells like enzyme cleaner and cat pee, which in my opinion, was more offensive than just the cat pee.At this point I can't get the smell of enzyme cat pee out of my nose, so I hire professional carpet cleaners. $308.00 later my carpet looks like the day it was installed , but I also had the brand new carpet / cat pee smell which it didn't when it was first installed.At this point I thought the only solution would be to replace the carpet with wood flooring. I mean, I'm already $1000 in the hole from vet visits, carpet cleaning, cat pee enzyme enhancer, most expensive cat food known to man, thinking that would make her stop being mad at me. And then I stumbled across this little gem as a last resort.I receive the shot glass of angry orange, put some in a spray bottle with some water, and give the carpet 5-6 sprays and go to bed. When I wake up what do I smell, nothing, absolutely nothing. I stick my nose to the carpet and just smell a slight hint of orange, and precisely 4% cat pee. So I get out my trusty spray bottle again, give it a few more sprays, wait 10 minutes, dry the carpet, and only 1% cat pee. I bought this stuff to break it down into 3 , 32-ounce spray bottles. it worked out perfectly. and the dogs wont return to the same spot after I spray or pour this onto the area. I left the chemical on there to dry. its been about 10 days and the dogs still have not gone on that area. and due to the excellent quality of this product, I was able to remove the large puppy pad out of our living room FINALLY ! they were using the same area for over a year. now we only have the 3 pads in the dining room. I was so happy. also, im so sure that this OUT chemical can be used to remove human urine as well. this chemical has ENZYMATIC ACTION. and that's what you MUST HAVE to remove these strong body stains and odors. I first bought this a year ago because my other brand (N.M.) just wasnt working and this one was only $5 so, why not. I was beyond shocked! It is GREAT at removing pet odors. I thought wow I'm on to something now and it's so inexpensive too. Well, apparently everyone else caught on too. Its out of stock 1/2 the time at Walmart and $16 on Amazon…WOW! Spent hours researching enzymatic cleaners and went with this one. Used this in a floor cleaning machine and in a spot cleaner. Have not yet had the smell resurface and it does seem to have prevented remarking on upholstery. My 4 month old puppy has remarked on a rug since the first cleaning, but I will see how it does over time since the formula is diluted in the floor cleaning machine. The smell is not overpowering at all, and is almost pleasant while it’s drying. Once dried, there is a very light fresh scent, but hardly any smell at all. I am not sure of the capabilities of this product’s stain removal, since visible stains are not something I battle with. This product works best on spots immediately after being soiled, but also works well on older spots. Overall, this is a great product and I will buy it again!CircusMama

I just used this for the first time today because we have a cat that has gotten in the habit of peeing outside her litter box. It's pretty simple to use and smells nice. A friend bought this for us so I'm not sure I would have purchased it myself. There are some homemade remedies online that might work as well but don't smell as nice. I have to admit, the scent is surprising. I thought it would very chemically but it's nice. I'll update this review to see if it helped stop the cat with her bathroom issues.cheryl.b

This was recommended by our veterinarian to address the neutralization of odors from urine not contained in the litter box–such as when a cat is ill and not properly using the box, or due to behavioral issues. I had a large amount of cat urine on two very expensive oriental rugs. I used the product as directed, poured one entire bottle on each rug. The both rugs had a very strong perfume smell which dissipated after a couple of weeks. If you get your nose down to the carpet now (one month later) you can still smell the perfume but there is no odor of cat urine. The room does not smell perfume like. I have used this forever it's great!!! I would recommend to anyone. I can not stress enough not to use regular household cleaners. If you do it will make your house smell. If you use regular cleaner and use this on top of it. It will have an off smell for awhile. But keep using it. It will let up after while. Alot of people think household cleaners will work. My former tools were not keeping up, and–try as I might–I couldn't seem to ever get all of the spots or get rid of the smell.Enter Angry Orange and the blacklight tool. I used it once, and my carpeted apartment had never smelled better. I was once again confident that I was helping pruppets without screwing over my landlady.The accidents, unfortunately, continued. Never fear, I thought, because I have Angry Orange! However, when I went to use the product a second time, the spray bottle no longer worked. Thinking I had just worn it out with too vigorous use, I transferred the miracle substance to another bottle. Voilá! Once again, my apartment smelled like oranges instead of–you know.Again, though, the next time I tried to use my Angry Orange, the spray bottle no longer worked. I went through this process several times and eventually accepted that I would just have to purchase a new spray bottle for every use. I've been wanting to buy this, but wasn't sure it would really work. Plus, I have another enzyme cleaner that I absolutely love. However, the other cleaner doesn't 100% remove pet messes (greatly reduces the stains but completely remove). I have a chihuahua, who's done very well with potty training (actually surprisingly well lol) but there's one spot that she's had 2 accidents at. I'm thinking she can still smell that area, even though we can't.I ended up finding this at Target, and it was a compulsive buy. I was very excited to try it though. As soon as I returned home, I thoroughly saturated an old pet stain. I allowed it to soak overnight (I'd say 12 hours – older stains need to soak longer). In the morning, I used my carpet cleaner to soak up any major cleaner that was still there then placed a white towel on top, which I placed something heavy on top. After 5 minutes, I removed the towel checked the spot… I couldn't find it anymore with my black light, which I used to thoroughly check with no luck! I definitely recommend!! I paid $20 for this at target will be reordering it on Angry Orange to save a little money.I'd also light to point out the smell. I wasn't sure I'd love the orange scent. I've made enzyme cleaners from orange peels before the scent is less than favorable. However, this orange scent is different. It's a very realistic orange scent not that typical cleaner smell. It kind of reminds me of a Creamsicle. It's a 5 out of 5 for odor elimination – I didn't have that problem before, so I tried it in the bathroom after my younger son missed the toilet. Light shows everything else other than dog or cat urine which is why I’m disappointed because i bought the light to show the dog urine and didn’t show it at all.The spray is a nice scent but people should be strongly advised to open up all windows in the home and turn on all fans before even spraying it once and to avoid being in the direct room or area where spray was used and keep pets away and blocked off from the area until the spray is dry because it is overbearingly strong while it’s wet and just using it in one spot in one room the scent quickly travels through to the rest of the house. It gets less intense as it dries and once it’s completely dry it’s almost odorless.Not a horrible smell but it’s way too strong there needs to be lots of fans and open windows throughout the entire home until it dries and direct area where it was used needs to be avoided until it dries.I wasnt sure at first if this stuff worked or just masked the smell when I first used it while it was still wet. The whole house quickly smelled like the citrus and didn’t couldn’t smell dog urine or any other odor or scent at all in rhe house and the citrus was all we were able to smell until it all dried completely. I received the Simple Solution Extreme Pet Stain & Odor Remover to try. I have tried SO many products to get rid of stains and smells from my Great Dane starting when he was a puppy. A lot of the products I’ve tried haven’t worked as good as this! My dog loves to go on the furniture at night and clean himself. Unfortunately this leaves puddles and wet spots on our microfiber couches. I just spray some of this on the wet spot, blot up the excess and let it dry. You would never know there was once a puddle of drooly mess there. It dries perfectly without any outline of product and the scent is so nice, light and refreshing. Product quality may be good, but small-print information on the bottle (too late if already ordered) that it CANNOT be used on WOOL CARPETS or LEATHER FURNITURE, is not clearly defined before your customeer makes a buying decision. The 'regular' or 'original' Simple Solution makes no such disclaimer – further alienating those customes that have previously used the 'regular' formula (that includes ourselves). Better labeling should be a priority. By the way – good luck on telling your dogs the difference between wool carpet and nylon carpet – they will just wag their tail at you. –River Runner

After trying another dog urine cleaner and being disappointed, I thought I'd order a gallon of urineoff online because it's not available in store. After applying urineoff per instructions, I waited a day to see if I could still smell dog pee in a condo I'd rented to a young couple with two Dachshunds. It seemed the product worked…..somewhat. My hopes were high, because our rescue dog had re-homing issues, defiant peeing on carpets being one. 47 lbs, no small pees either. The stain it left behind I had to get my carpet cleaner out to remove. I was told it didn't have to be cleaned up from where it was used, but after first use, there were suds indicating a cleaning substance which I cleaned up and dried. I was told it was a safe to use around children and pets ingredient, but not what it is. I'm one of those picky, well-educated, caring humans who likes to investigate things and not take someone else's word. What exactly are all the ingredients in this product? I can't sweat it was this product, but something was stinging a small scratch on my finger. No, I'm not the type of person who sues and I never have. If I'm not happy, I just won't use the product. My mom's dog is 17 years old, blind and incontinent. Bless his little heart… We are pretty good about his routine and taking him out on a schedule but as you can imagine, accidents will and DO happen. Now I did not have to spend alot on this product. But the claims made for the product sounded EXACTLY like what I was looking for. However, honestly speaking, I will tell you exactly my personal experience. It has an odd smell, not horrible but just odd. It does take care of lingering urine odors – for about 2-3 days, then the urine odor returns. So the MAIN question on the cleaning part of this product is answered. If the urine odor returns, I'm assuming the urine us still there. All of the reviews that state this thing works are true. My teenagers were in charge of keeping the litterbox clean because we have two cats. They do an excellent job of keeping up with it in general. They did, however, become a touch sluggish over the break. The smell was so awful that I was practically retching by the time I smelled it from down the hall and told them to clean it. The damage had been done, even with the clean litter, and all I could smell was cat urine. So I came on here and read all the 5-star ratings and decided that even if it only functioned half as well as the reviews said, it would be a success. So when it arrived, I just opened the bottle and poured about a third of the liquid over our laminate floor and sprayed it on the walls surrounding the litterbox. I set it aside for an hour. However, even standing outside the room, we instantly saw a difference. I also brought the litterbox outside and sprayed it with this stuff, but I didn't let it sit, instead wiping it down with baby wipes. After an hour, I washed everything out, replaced the clean litterbox in the room, and went outside to clear my nose to see if I could smell cat urine. I couldn't smell it. My children couldn't either. I invited my MOTHER (who despises cats and is a stickler for cleanliness) over for the grand verdict, and asked her to smell not only the house, but the room as well. She was taken aback by the fact that she couldn't smell anything, and she actually stated it smelled GOOD! It does have a light herbal aroma to it that isn't bad. I bought this product after my kids, who flip houses, raved about how well it worked. Last night my year old dog was sprayed by a skunk point blank. In the process of trying to get him quarantined and deal with the smell, my clothes were saturated with the awful stink. I thought it would be worth trying this product on the horrific smell. Lots of clean up today of dog, tile floor from when I walked back in after catching said dog, and of course, everything I was wearing in addition to his bedding. I mopped with the Urine Destroyer diluted strong in water so house smells good again. I then soaked my clothes and the dog bedding for abut an hour in a bucket with laundry soap and a couple cups of the Urine Destroyer. The smell is gone! The product has a nice scent, but it was very strong for a couple days. I left the windows open and kept some fans on to help it evaporate and destroy the urine. This can size is good for a couple of full bladder cat accidents, maybe 6×6". If it was just a spray or a minor accident you could get more. The spray nozzle is powerful and really penetrates into the carpet. I can't comment on stain cleaning as I didn't have any visible markings and had to use a black light to find the spots. With my nose touching the carpet, I can't smell anything but carpet. I'm satisfied.Taylor B

I wish I could give this product 10 stars. It is an absolute miracle worker. This is the dog formula, and it comes in a variety of scents, but the scent doesn't matter. This will take a giant dog urine stain out of white fabric right in front of your eyes. If you get a black light and find the spots around your house, you can use this and see that it takes everything away. There is also a different formula for cats since their urine is different. I've had pets my entire live and always battled the problem with spraying, marking, and/or poor potty habits, and these products have completely changed my life.frances.m

I bought this because my dog peed on the bath rug twice when I was away from home too long. After using the spray, she began to use the rug a little more often. I moved and threw out the old rug without thinking too much about it. After a couple times of being gone too long, she peed in a couple spots around the new house so I tried the spray again. Now she pees in the house 1-3 times per week, where I've sprayed. So, at the very least, the spray doesn't work. Now that I've read reviews on other NM products, I wonder if she wants to pee because of the spray. Save yourself the frustration and just don't buy it.Jess J88

We recently got our first dog and potty training has been more than a bit of struggle. Sasha, my 15 year old daughter (dog) has been having trouble holding her urine throughout the night. She's not crate trained and never used pee pads, so if she has to pee in the middle of the night, she will sometimes pee on the carpet now. My elderly Furbaby has recently started peeing in the middle of the night on the carpet in my dining area. She’s small so it took a minute to discover this new activity. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on anything else like I did. I was literally at the point of tears after buying a used sectional and realizing there was cat pee on a large section and it STUNK, like gag a maggot. I used vinegar, baking soda, then shampooed it with RugDoctor pet stain remover. Then tried Angry Orange Odor eliminator, then Rocco and Roxy urine odor remover (which actually did help but still left way too much stink in the bad spots) I used it like 3x. I was about to drag the sofa out into my yard and set it on fire. Literally. Then I decided to try 1 more thing… and thank God I tried this. It took care of 98% of the smell after the 1st treatment. I treated the really awful place 1 more time and I'm so happy it's gone. The nasty cat pee smell is gone! Just buy this. It's the only thing that works!DistressedDamsel

Works good so far. The only issue I had was dispensing the foam. It didn’t come out very easily. Maybe I didn’t hold the can upside down enough. I had to use my hand to spread the foam. But it worked. The main thing is my cat is not urinating on my couch so far.petcogil

This stuff works okay but not as well as resolve. I also really hate the smell. Yeah the smell of urine is bad, but this smells like something you use to clean urine up with. It has an overpowering lemon gas station bathroom smell that I can’t stand. I bought it because there was $1 coupon on the bottle but I’ll never buy this again, I’ll pay more for resolve. I also found that you had to use like 4x as much. Not a good value. Also, the bottle says it’s 5% peroxide as the active ingredient and I feel ripped off honestly. Like the product but the squirt bottle broke after the 1st use. Top, spray nozzle, detached from the bottle. Tonight, the spray nozzle broke completely from the base. Now, in order to continue to use the remaining Woolite free & clear, i have to buy a squirt bottle. As I said, I like the results that the Woolite free & clear provide, however, the packaging was a disappointment. P.S. I have a Bissel vacuum cleaner and I love it. Plus, both my dog and my cat are rescues and I love them. Keep up the good work!!moomama

This is a great carpet cleaner for removing pet stains. My cat had a sensitive stomach and seemed to always choose the carpet to get sick. Woolite to the rescue! If you spray the area right after the event it cleans so well you can't tell anything happened. The nicest part is that even older stains will come out with a little work. Best of all, it neutralizes odors so that the carpet is fresh.SoHappy

I have a cat who will pee on bedding or furniture if something is wrong with the litter box. We recently tried to switch to the litter robot and it was a disaster! I actually had high expectations for this cleaner since I mainly use Clorox cleaners in my home already. The cleaner worked just great at making the urine smell go away at the moment but the next day it came back. I ended up doing multiple applications that sat on the (black light found) stain and followed the directions exactly. It didn't say whether I could expect a black light found stain to disappear so I didn't get my hopes up to much for that but I had really hoped that the smell would come out of the multiple (baby and cat) stains throughout my house. This worked pretty well at cleaning up toddler accidents and making it so it did not soak into the carpet leaving a black light stain. Basically, this cleaner seems to be a preventative cleaner. You clean the urine accidents up right away up and it prevents it from sinking into the carpet to avoid a smell and stain. I tried this and a homemade water vinegar and baking soda cleaner and used both on my carpets. Clorox was best for new stains and the homemade cleaner was better at getting the stain and smell out of old carpet stainsjennifer.f
