This particular chew toy covers a variety of aspects when it comes to your dog and their chewing behaviors and dental health. We have a Rottweiler that – like most dogs – thinks with their stomach a lot of the time and you can pack each end of this particular toy full of biscuits and then let your dog figure out how to get them. The little rubber nubs all over each end get up between their teeth and keep her teeth clean without us having to really do anything by way of human interaction/brushing her teeth. Our Rottie is 5 1/2 years old and has never NEEDED to have her teeth cleaned due to her obsessive want/need to have this toy filled with biscuits so that she can work on getting them out. Twice a day we fill each end up for her (which is not two handfuls of biscuits, ends up being a couple of them in each end)…she brings it to us right after she eats her breakfast and right after her late afternoon dinner. She BRINGS IT TO US literally pleading for us to fill it up so that she can go chew and gnaw away on it. They only last about 3-4 months but the amount of money we have NOT had to spend on dental cleanings every year or two is well worth the $25-$30 a year we spend on these toys. Her breath has been great ever since she was a puppy and we attribute it to her twice daily routine of chewing on this toy. The toy alone is not enough to entice any dog to want to chew on it…but filling each end with the hard biscuits is and most dogs will do whatever it takes to get them out. We give this one 5 stars. No toy is indestructible in the mouth of a dog with the right set of jaws. 3 of these per year with a Rottweiler isn't a bad ratio especially when it helps with their breath and ours definitely has clean teeth and no "dog breath" like they are known to get. I have a 14 lb schnoodle and from the first minute I gave her this dog toy she absolutely loved it hasn’t stopped playing with it for a week. It’s like three toys in one she likes the rings to chew on but it’s also a tug toy and she loves playing that. But it’s also a tennis ball you can throw. I have the light to moderate chew level which seems fine so far. She can’t take it apart it’s pretty sturdy. I like it also because it gives her some exercise besides just chewing and playing she can use it for a tug of war or fetch or play by herself. My dog got super excited as soon as she saw this toy. She is a small mixed breed, about 10 lbs. The ball is the size of a tennis ball and she can grab it because it is soft enough for her to compress it. The clear rubber part is also a bit soft. She is not a strong chewer, so I don’t think she will be able to tear up the rubber part or the ball without a lot of effort. The rubber part will be good for helping her keep her teeth clean and I will enjoy playing tug of war with her with the rope part. This ring was the best investment! My pup goes through most chew toys in minutes as she LOVES to chew. This ring lasted a little over 7 months before she got to the red “safety” layer. I sent it in for the guarantee (paid shipping both ways, around $15) and got a brand new one! My pup has been chomping the new one for almost 2 months and it’s going strong. HIGHLY recommend for pups that love to chew! I want to mention that it is fairly large and heavy (my pup loves to swing it around and it has a somewhat frightening loud drop – but you get used to it). It also smells rubbery (because it’s a really high quality rubber) and now my pup thinks things like erasers are her toys. My 60 lb. dog had teeth marks all over this toy in a matter of minutes, and it looks very unstable as if it will completely tear apart with one good tug. I was disappointed given how expensive it is, and that I thought it had a good warranty. But if you go to the website for the return that is guaranteed, you will find that you have to pay shipping to return it, and give the company a check for $7.50 for them to ship the new toy to you. I do not think the packaging is the greatest it does not say what it is made of and after some googling I am not sure how safe the ingredients are for dogs but its made in USA and my dog has had no issues from it. I think these are better for dogs compared to Nylabone. My dog a cocker spaniel has bad anxiety and is a constant chewer only 2 years old. The size small is pretty decently sized. An they past pretty long too. I always buy about 4 that way they arent chewing on the same one and no matter the room shes in theres always a bone close to be found instead of something shes not suppose to have.Kris
My dog loves wood-tasting chew bones. These contain wood and are enticing and keeps the dog entertained. They don't wear down quickly. They're not as hard/tough on dog's teeth as antler bones. They don't splinter like some bones and don't come apart like rawhide. My dog chews only tiny pieces at a time; she basically gnaws on it rather than chews. She can take a rawhide apart in a few minutes, but these wood bones last a long time since she only gnaws on them. I like that they come in several sizes. The XS or S may be too small for small breeds, but my 9-lb. minpin chews the S or M size ones on her own. I hold the XS for her to chew once the size gets too small and safety might become an issue.Cici
This is an excellent alternative to real sticks. However, if your dog loves to chew then be watchful about them gnawing the ends to a point. You\'ll have to file it down every so often so they don\'t jab or cut themself. Also very loud on hardwood floors. Lol. Good product through.BluesMum

Well of course w it being rubber like it did not last long in the house. Anything with a squeaky and rubbery doesn't last. I stop buying him toys that are rubber. He teared one up and he ate pieces of it. And was constipated. So now I have to be careful on what toy I get him. Even with the other toys I have to watch him once he get the squeaky out, I have to make sure he don't eat it. About 70% of the time he don't anymore he just chew on it.kaysone.h
