Although I think this looks more like a squirrel than a chipmunk, I have to say these toys are the best. They actually last with my dogs. I ordered this online from Walmart for a few bucks. It has a slight bacon scent and my puppy does chew on it from time to time. It's pretty durable and is made out of polyurethane and nylon. The small size is for dogs 10 to 20 pounds. This thing will probably last a long time.michelle .t
My beagle was chewing on this bone for less than an hour. I thought it was durable enough to withstand her chewing. I was wrong. She ate a good portion of the pink center and some of the outer portion of the bone in that time. I doubt it’s safe for dogs to eat nylon, but I can’t find any information anywhere. This toy is designed as a “tuff” dog pull and tug toy, but save your money. My friend’s medium- sized dog loved it, but the seams are not well sewn and the toy came apart in several places so quickly that the rest of the toy looked brand new. The fabric frays so badly it would be very hard to repair the tear. I wish I had done some research before I picked this up for my friend. A nice length of heavy rope would have made a better gift. I’d have to find my original receipt and packaging (long gone) and then pay to ship the toy back to Hartz for a refund. Lesson learned. Very disappointing.Judym
This toy is excellent if you don't want stuffing all over your living room floor; however, I think my dogs are only interested in the toys they can destroy. This one is such a challenge they aren't much interested in it. The dog that loves squeakers hasn't squeaked it at all or attempted "surgery" to remove said squeaker like he does other toys. The dog that loves bones and throwing things in the air also showed no interest. Our golden retriever did carry it around a couple of times. She prefers toys/socks that can hang out of her mouth a little floppy-like, but this is pretty stiff. She's also the one that like to tear things up – she didn't attempt to with this toy. First off. Doggie loved the toy. But was ripped open in 5 minutes. Toy got sewn up and Doggo was a bit more gentle for a few weeks but eventually disemboweled it and shredded the rope. I received this tuff bone a few days ago. I decided to give it to my older dog to see if he would like it. He absolutely loved it. Normally, he pretty much ignores everything I give him but this made him run in circles and play with it. I never seen that type of energy since he was a pup. He loved that it smelled like bacon and that he was able to chew on it. I think he loved the texture and how durable it is. I have noticed a big difference in his having tartar on his teeth. these are really for the serious chewers, and my puppy is small but mighty. I have only given her one so far but she's made some good dents in it. It really does smell like bacon and she seems to like it a lot so I will likely buy more once she gets into the other 2. I was disappointed since this lasted literally 30min of supervised play – the star 'arms' invite for chewing which they did, and soon enough the white stuffing came out. The dogs loved the toy, but at $35 it is a bit pricey for less than an hour use. Bought this ball for my seven year old Pomeranian. She likes it, even though its honestly more on the large size than medium in my opinion. However, Im not happy because the perket- aka the t-shaped plastic piece that attaches tags- cannot be removed from the ball. Im guessing the people producing this toy are lazy/cheap because it was apparently too much trouble to make the tag so that it could be removed all the the way. Seriously, who jams a perket into a DOG TOY so that it cant be taken out all the way? All I could do was cut it down as much as possible. The only other option would be to cut open the ball in order to fully remove the perket/tag. Its labeled as play safe but thats clearly a joke considering the perket. I was so excited to find and order this "super tuff" dog toy. From the embellished description I assumed it would be a great toy for my Mini Aussie who loves to chew and loves squeaker toys. We have two French bulldogs who have destroyed every toy they've ever had. They even destroy these after about two months but we still keep buying them because they are a game changer! Since the first time we bought one about 4 years ago there hasn't been a single night where our dogs haven't spent at least half an hour gnawing on the nub of these toys. I bought this product from Nerf years ago. Probably 4-5 years. We have an Australian Shepherd who’s 8 and has been trying to destroy these rings. Okay so I got this toy for my 10 month old puppy this toy…okay he destroyed it literally in 10 mins that I brought it home and gave it to him. He was eating pieces off this toy. This is not a durable toy. I was expecting it to be durable for him and something that would last moire then a couple hours of having. But unfortunately it didn’t. I felt bad because my puppy loved that toy. A lot actually but he shredded it. Disappointed and I’d like to get my money back on it idc if it’s a few dollars. It wasn’t worth it apparently.Jessica
Ok I have 3 doggies and they go through toys like crazy. These rings have made through the cut and I am amazed. Cheap toys last a week and I’m always monitoring the situation to make sure my dogs don’t swallow junk of the cheap toys. I didn’t have to worry about this one. I’ve had it for 3 weeks now and they chew it several times during the day. It hardly has a scratch on to look like they’ve even chewed on it! Folks if you’re worried about your babies toys falling apart and them injecting something they shouldn’t then this is the toy. This will definitely save me some money so I can actually leave this with them and not have to replace it in a week ! Get one. They are amazing !MrsZ

Our dog is a 10 month old pit-lab mix. Poor squid lasted less than 5 minutes. I gave it 3 stars because that is 3 minutes longer than any other stuffed toy. It was carnage. Such a cute toy. When my dog received this she instantly started slinging it around. She is almost 2 and about 60 lbs. she loves to play. So far it hasn’t seemed to wear since her daily play. My puppy (and his dog mom) loves this Tuffy toy! He is notorious for destroying his toys, often within a day of opening them, but this one seems more durable than others we've tried in the past. The company gives it an 8/10 on their "Tuff scale" which is described as "long lasting and really tough" and so far, it's holding up. I like that the squid's head is fairly soft but still has multiple layers of stitching to hold it together. It also has a squeaker that's more protected than I've seen in other toys, as its sewn within another pocket inside the squid's head. The legs are made from multiple layers of material that are sewn tightly together and my puppy thinks they're just perfect for grabbing on to and using to fling the toy around. This is a relatively big toy so I think it would be better suited for larger and more active dogs than it would smaller and older breeds. We haven't taken it in the water yet, but Tuffy says it floats and we're planning to take it swimming soon! This is the second Tuffy brand dog toy I have and so far, I'm extremely satisfied with their products.appledew12
