My Alaskan Malamute puppy is an aggressive chewer so usually, his treats are gone instantly. My puppy takes this stick all throughout the house and will chew it for long periods of time. Our six month old pup loves these 12" braided bully sticks. We had originally started giving him the single bully sticks, but found that he could eat a whole 12" single stick in about ten minutes tops. He accidentally swallowed the end of a single one because we didn't think he would be able to finish it so quickly! So these braided ones are a godsend! I wish that these would stay braided until the end. Once they come apart we take it away from our pup so that he doesn't swallow the pieces. With the current deal of a percentage off with in store pick up, these are a great deal! We had tried buying other brands but found that other brands were much thinner and not as good of a value. My dog loves these. In general, bully sticks are expensive, but from my online research, it seems like bully sticks are the best chew for dogs, as they don't splinter and are more digestible, so we find that these are well worth it and will keep buying them. I ordered these bully sticks in reliance on the online photo of the package, showing 3 equally thick braided bully sticks. I received a package with one significantly slimmer than the other two. Still relying on that photo, I figured it was a fluke and gave this a second chance. I ordered a second package. Contents were exactly the same. Had a rather long chat with customer service. I said I thought it would be fair if they refunded one of the other packages or send me a complementary package. Agent refused to do that and is contacting the manufacturer. I bought the products relying on Petco's online photo showing what I was supposed to receive. Petco is the one responsible to me. (Manufacturer may be responsible to Perco, but, not to me. I didn't buy based on the manufacturer's websites photo. Never went to Manufacturer's website.) I love bully sticks and so does my American Bully Ozzy. Safer than raw hide and something to keep him busy. For him it's his high reward treat during training and he can't get enough of them. For the smell others mention, they do have a strong odor. However, dogs live through their noses. Might not he pleasant to us but consider who you are buying for. As soon as I walk through the door Petco bag in hand Ozzy knows that bully stick is there and it's nothing but tail wagging joy. One other thing I would like to address. Others mention about it dissolving. This is dehydrated muscle. Dogs drool and slobber on this as they chew. All that moisture is going to revert back to a little bit of that meaty texture. But I think that is part of the joy. First a chew then a snack. The price is worth it, safe edible chewing alternative for your pup. No chemicals or yucky ingredients. I love the idea and knew it was something I needed to get for my two French bulldogs. The device is durable, well-made, and easy for my pups to carry around and use. The only disappointment was that my male dog (who is two and weighs 32 pounds) was able to get the bully stick out.These were the bully sticks that came in the starter kit. It had to do with the natural back and forth movement while he was chewing on it. When I switched to the bully sticks we normally use, which are wider than the ones that came with the kit and slightly softer (so it pins the stick more securely), he cannot get it out. Obviously we do not let them have bully sticks while we are not home, but I feel better knowing that we don't have to worry about choking on the last little bit. My only suggestion would be to make them in different colors!Heather H.

I have 3 German shepherd wannabes (13y, 6y, and 4mo) That all love to chew- initially there were a few issues getting the right order fulfillment but customer service was great and handled it. The bully sticks and holders are a life saver both for keeping the dogs from swallowing the last bit of stick, but also so the puppy won’t chew my house down or annoy the other two. All the dogs go crazy when I pull the sticks out of the jar. Only downside is we found out the 6y is allergic to the plastic, but she’s sensitive to a lot of things so I don’t fault the buddy for that. I’ve had this toy for about a week now and my 14 week old Golden Retriever pup has loved it since I brought it home. She chews it and squeaks it and loves to play fetch with it although it doesn’t really bounce or give at all when you throw it. I will say the smell is pretty bad. It definitely does not smell like peanut butter! I couldn’t smell it in the store because of COVID, I was wearing a mask, so I was sitting on the couch wondering “what is that smell?” thinking someone left wet clothes out or something, when I realized it was the toy. I bought this last Friday but gave it to my guy on Saturday. Any squeeky toy is destroyed quickly. This toy has lasted though. I have been buying these bully sticks for years now for my (2) Jack Russell fur babies. Would give 5 stars but because of the price and can never find a discount or sale on them is why I'm giving a 4. Thought I'd share how I make the most out of them and make them last longer. I by the 1.7 oz single stick which is actually 24in. Long. I have to be as sneaky as possible getting downstairs into my basement which I have been unsuccessful in doing as they can sniff it out in a millisecond but nevertheless get it downstairs, I put it in a vise and measure it out by putting small etch marks every 2in with a small hand saw that I have now specifically dedicated just for cutting these things. Then I proceed to cut the 12x2in pieces which as stated gives you (12) 2in pieces so I can now at least afford to give them smaller ones more frequently throughout the week more or less. The 1.7oz cost approx $14.99 and if you were to by the equivalent that only comes in a bag which I do not like I think it's like $30.00. Price of saw, already had it so why not use it!! Price of my fur babies excitement when they know whTs in my hand?!?! Priceless!!!! Note worth mentioning though, if you think they stink while they are enjoying them, they really stick when your trying to cut them so keep that in mind and mash your hands and saw off each time for safety and health reasons. Just throwing it out there, I do not claim and responsibility for any injuries and such. I'm not sure what happened here. First, bully sticks in general tend to be quite foul-smelling, but this batch smelled particularly bad. Second, I have had good success with my puppy and bully sticks in the past (Barkworthies, etc.), but my dog is willing to chew these for 1-2 minutes max and then hides them somewhere, never to touch them again. I think Good Lovin' needs to reformulate. I would also like to see recyclable packaging.Jason in NYC
By far, these bully sticks are my dog's favorite special treat. They may smell absolutely terrible to my nose, but to her they are a delicacy. I wish they lasted a little longer, she chews threw them very quickly, but I don't think that can be helped, that's just how they are. My only real problem with these is the really high price. It's hard for me to justify buying them sometimes. I'd do anything for my dog and ensuring her spoiled rotten status in life, but these are so costly. $5/piece for something that lasts a few minutes makes my stomach churn! And they're never on sale. I'm still rating them as "good" because of how much she loves these.

When I read that this toy was "better than a stick," I had to see for myself. Our Boston *loves* bringing sticks inside the house to chew on. Honestly, it was a bit of a pain to clean up after. This bully stick holder is a GREAT concept and really helps our small dog. The pit mix pulled the bully stick out so I think we need to buy the larger bully stick for the pit bull.
