Just purchased this for my 70 pound elderly dog who has difficulty getting into and out of the car. I would have loved to keep this because of how well it was made, but it just didn't fit into the door opening of our new Equinox. Unfortunately the door didn't open wide enough. Also it wasn't long enough to use in the back lift gate. It was just too steep. Would be great in a regular car, but SUV's seem to be too far off the ground.Jodi
This is a nice sturdy ramp. I believe it may work well for vans but, with both of our cars (Chevy Malibu and Nissan Altima) the ramp does not have a level place to set it on. Our Golden Retriever tried it on both cars but it was to unsteady for her. I was very happy and a little surprised at how easy it was to return the product. This was a life saver. My pug is 15 and needs help getting up and down from couch. It has 3 positions so it is not steep for an older dog to use. It is ready to use right out of the box. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is not to long and can be used in the smallest spaces. The carpet like material on the ramp, also has slip resistant material on it (like what is on the bottom of socks). The dogs love it and it does not bother their feet. When going down the ramp, they can go as slow as needed and not slide down. I highly recommend this product. It will not work with really high beds or trucks unless you add to it. But it is perfect for anything else including cars (if needed) It is very light and easy to move around. It is very sturdy and does not move when dogs are using it. It had a disclaimer regarding a non-hazardous odor…we did not notice any odor at all straight out of the packaging. The foam blocks are nice and firm, my 15 lb Boston terrier mix has no issues using them. I like the neutral color as well. Material seems to be of a decent quality. It was easy to put together as well, just stack the top foam block onto the bottom one, pull the cover material over it and zip. We love these pet steps. I have two small dogs: a 10 lb chihuahua mix, and a 16 lb silky terrier with short legs. Both of my dogs were able to use these pet steps the very first day we got them. We trained them by putting little bits of cheese on each step, and a piece at the top. We tried these steps out with my couch, and on my bed, which my terrier struggles jumping up on, especially as she ages. They are a nice neutral gray color which worked well in both my bedroom and my living room. They are soft, plush, and very lightweight, so it was easy to move from one place to the other. Included in the box, was a note saying it might have a little bit of a smell from the newly manufactured foam. I smelled it a little bit when opening the box, but didn't even notice it again after the stairs were assembled. By the way, the assembly is just putting one of the cushions inside a zippered section. The rest of it was already inside. Very easy. It even included a nice note from the company, and three free blank greeting cards as a thank you for buying their product. We've had plastic pet stairs in the past, but had trouble with the legs falling off, making it unsafe for our dogs to use. We ended up getting rid of those. Our 4 month old puppy was approaching 50 lbs. The stairs on the back deck are very narrow-making it difficult for her to learn to learn to go down. Carrying her was unsafe especially in ice and snow. She quickly learned how to use the ramp and now uses the ramp to run up and down. The ramp was a great purchases and probably prevented an injury to us or our pup. This is the perfect ramp for getting my 70lb Lab in and out of the truck. She is a little skeptical of going up it but comes down with ease. I just need to work and praise on the up step. It is light and portable and fits our needs just right. We had a plastic one for the last few years and it gave out and snapped in half. Our 9 year old Siberian Husky recently tore her ACL doing her "happy dance" for the neighbor lady that gives her treats. At first I picked her up and took her outside and back inside, as well as in the vehicle and out of the vehicle to her doctors appointment. Works great on higher thick mattress bed. It is 26" off the floor to the top of the bed. He ( my Silky Terrier) is starting to get used to using it. Poor “Duncan” was adopted from a rescue almost two years ago, then relinquished when the adopters got a job offer in a different state, and they decided they didn’t want to include him in their new life. The rescue, which specializes in Duncan’s much-maligned breed, contacted me to see if I could give this sweet old Doggo a home for his twilight days. At his age and considering his breed, if I didn’t adopt him he was doomed to be a “sanctuary” doggo, spending his remaining life in a cage, all alone. I decided I had to give him a chance. When I brought him home it was clear he’d been neglected: he didn’t know how to play with toys, he avoided me and even tentatively nipped my hand in fear. I gave him time to decompress, and within a week he was like a pupper again, showing spirit and affection. He even started asking for belly rubs! Because this is a very social breed, I wanted to give Duncan access to the daybed so he can easily climb up to snuggle and snooze with me. I considered building a ramp, but wanted only the best for this Doggo. After researching online, I decided DoggoRamps was definitely the way to go! After reading how this ramp was built specifically for smaller Doggos, seeing the gradual incline and the grippy surface, I knew it would work well for my sweet boy. Considering his age and breed, I know he won’t be with me for long, but while he’s here he will enjoy the best. Duncan is used to ramps and loves to explore new things. I have a paraplegic cat who climbs (and jumps out of) everything in the house, I already intended to find some kind of ramp to try and preserve my sheets from those sharp claws, but then once we changed our boxed bed to a wood one, he became unable to climb on the bed by his own, which was SO TRAGIC. Then we found the doggoramps and it was immediately my favorite option, we researched some more for good measure and came back to this one and purchased it. It arrived on time and it was *everything* we expected. It is very well made, with quality sturdy HEAVY wood, very stable even without the stability anchor. Beautifully finished, the white one complimented our white bed in a way that is just such a nice bonus ('cause we wouldn't have prevented Onyx from climbing on the bed even if it was ugly). And you no what, I have a sample size of 2 (my paraplegic cat and my able-bodied one) but we didn't even need to train them! Just put them on the ramp one time to show them, helped Onyx up one time 'cause he was a bit insecure and BAM, Onyx now only ever goes up *and* down from the bed using the ramp and even Luci, our able bodied cat uses the ramp more often than not. I want to let everyone know how awesome your service is. I received the initial order of 2 small dog ramps extremely fast. The one ramp I opened had been damaged due to shipping. I took pictures of the damaged ramp with my iPhone & sent an email to DoggoRamps with pictures attached. I called & they sent me a reply email telling me what my options were regarding the damaged ramp. I was so impressed how easy it was getting the ramp returned and getting a new replacement. It all happened so fast & extremely efficient! The customer service was outstanding!! I have a very high bed & have not been able to find a ramp high enough for my bed. I have a 2yo Maltipoo who’s 14lbs & I have a very bad back & needed a ramp for him to be able to get on & off the bed. I was so impressed with the education that was emailed to me after purchasing the ramps, on how to teach my Maltipoo how to use the ramp. I followed their instructions and was able to move the ramp to the bedroom after working with my Maltipoo for 2 weeks. He now is able to come & go using the ramp. I am the Mom of two Shelties, Casey age 14, and Shelbie age 2. Casey is smaller than Shelbie and is arthritic. Shelbie is quite large and is a real live wire!! After nearly going blind, searching through 100’s of dog ramps, I happened across Doggo Ramps. Eureka! All of the other ramps were ok, but their construction was somewhat lightweight. Not Doggo Ramps. I ordered the Large Ramp for our high bed. It came packaged extremely well, was fully assembled and easy as pie to set up. It took a little coaxing, but Shelbie loves using the ramp! She runs up and down it and always checks with me to see if I saw her “Good Girl” performance, My little Casey, hasn’t warmed up to the ramp, so she still uses the foam stairs to get up on our bed. I recently adopted 17 pound old ShihTzu with not to great eyesight, and will be honest isn't the brightest dog in the world! Had the tallest steps up to bed I could find, but no way she would go down them. Bought this ramp because I won't be able to lift her off the bed for several weeks (surgery). It took her a week of me touching her butt for her to realize she could go up it (see previous comment about how smart she is). About a week later, she's going down it! The ramp arrived within a few days. It is VERY sturdy. Like the rails that took 2 minutes to install. And the rubber base – really hope it stands up because she now refuses to use the carpet based ramp for my sofa. Sigh… The only thing I worried about at first is the flat 'landing zone' at the top where she steps off of it is only about 6 inches wide. She doesn't care. Only cautionary note is to make sure it will fit in your bedroom. Dimensions are accurate, but is is BIG!S.C.
My dog needed to have surgery and we were looking for sturdy/well built ramps to get her on and off the couch, bed and back deck. We have bought several in this process that didn’t work and when built I wouldn’t even try to have her get on it for fear of it falling apart. Then we tried doggo ramps for couch. All put together, Sturdy, craftmanship impeccable, and safe she doesn’t slide on it. We bought another one for bedroom and same quality and love the side rail so she feels more comfortable using. Bought this for our boy who has been diagnosed with IVDD, along with some barriers to keep him from jumping instead. Not a lot of coaxing needed; He was a little nervous at first, but it only took a few days for him to be completely comfortable with it. I'm glad I got this one as the ability to adjust the incline just one notch made all the difference. The second I lowered the incline just slightly, all of a sudden he was completely comfortable walking up it. Now he is very comfortable with the ramp. I chose this one over others because I thought the landing at the top was a great touch. Our 5 pound Morkie is 10 years old and always been a fast and high jumper. I've gradually noticed her favoring her hind legs a bit from time to time, so immediately started researching ramps for her to get onto the sofa, where she lays most of the time. Reading other dog owner's experiences and various product reviews I knew the walking surface and stability of the ramp would be crucial for success with my pup. She is very "skittish" about slick surfaces and any crinkling, banging for tapping noises. I didn't find a ramp I felt met all the key criteria and then remembered what Crusoe (follow the FB page) had been through and wondered if his parents could recommend a ramp. Sure enough, exactly what I needed with the DoggoRamp! It has a great non-slip rubber walking surface, can adjust to various heights, is excellent quality, and looks like a piece of furniture instead of some cheap thing you have to sit in your living room. My pup had NO issues whatsoever about walking on it and using it. Literally took less than 30 minutes for her to get the hang of it and use it (thanks for the training info as well)! I think this will be an important aid for her as she ages, and hopefully will keep her in fantastic health for years to come. I recently purchased a DoggoRamp bed ramp and a couch ramp. As a dachshund owner, I have ramps all over my house. I've purchased ramps from various vendors and have never been fully impressed with my prior purchases. They've all done the job, but they haven't really been pretty or particularly well made. When I received the DoggoRamps I was very impressed. They are well-made and feel very solid. My favorite feature is the small step at the top of the ramp. I notice my dogs really like it too since it eases them into the ramp. I plan on replacing all of my existing ramps with DoggoRamps – one at a time of course since they are a bit pricey.Olga S.

I had been looking and researching for something for my two dogs that are 11 years in age and having trouble getting on and off our bed. I knew stairs wasn't an option so I got one of these wood bedside ramps and I absolutely love it. I like the ribbed carpet that covers it and that makes my dogs feel more secure when using it. I like how it is angled to run the length of my bed and having a tall bed isn't an issue since it has a height of 25 inches. It was very easy to assemble only took me a few minutes and all hardware for assembly was included. It is very easy to keep clean and I can easily move it into our living room during the day so my dogs can have access to the couch if needed. The weight limit is 120 lbs so I dont worry about it tipping over when my dogs are running up and down. The only thing is on wood floors, it will slide as in our living room, but we use a blanket underneath it and this sovled the problem. As long as it helps my dogs and gives them the ability to continue living a easy life, it is well worth it. My jeep is 22" high and i got this ramp for my 100lb rottweiler who has both his knees operated. This ramp is perfect. My dog goes in and out of my car with no issues. This is 60" long ramp which gives it a 22 degree angle of inclination for the ramp. 18 to 22 degree is recommended for dog ramps. It also has strap to attach the end of the car. I have to use old sweats on the ramp while my dog goes up to make it less slippery. But that not big deal. Its light weight and folds which are best the features. Overall it is perfect solution to my getting my dog in the car.ikha2889
Back in August, I contracted COVID and was in hospital for over a month. I was on a walker after my release and unable to lift my 60 lbs Bulldog. With two large dogs who are aging, jumping into my vehicle is not always easy for them and also dangerous if they fall, so this alleviates their need to jump and lets them enter carefully. It does require training, just like with horses getting into a trailer, but once they get it, they love it!
