We have two fairly small dogs and this gate is amazing for containing them. The opening between our family room and our living room is 70" and this gate spans the opening perfectly. I especially like that it is free-standing and not attached to a wall. Because it has substantial plastic tabs that "catch" between the two walls of the opening, the dogs aren't able to push it open or push it over. Since it moves easily, they are able to insert noses between the gate and the wall it is pressing against and squeeze through that way. We have solved that with a jug of kitty litter against the gate. Not really attractive, but effective. It is very easy to move out of the way and put back in place, so I can get in and out of different rooms. It is short enough for our cats to jump over (20") and my husband easily steps over it (he's pretty tall). Our dogs are a Shiatsu who is fairly small and a small standard poodle. Neither of them has attempted to jump over the gate (they aren't jumpers). Larger dogs or those who are jumpers might be able to jump over. Our son has a very large standard poodle and she is quite able to get over the gate when she visits, so this might not be perfect for a larger dog. Wish it came in a larger diameter, but I think the 38 will work for now. The puppy will only be about 4 pounds when I get her but will grow to be 8-10 pounds, so the pen should give her enough room to play until she is trained. I also like that it has a zippered top that can be taken off while inside or zipped on if outside because she is small enough to become prey to hawk, owls, or coyotes. Also like the pockets, the tote bag, and the fact that it is so light weight.

I am using the play pen when I need to be gone for any amount of time. I also purchased a crate at our local store for him to use at night. He seems to like being in the play pen. I know my cat appreciates having the house to herself when he is in it. The two are still working on sharing a home and myself. They are doing well considering it has only been 10 days. I feel that any breed that is bigger then a toy/miniature would be better in a bigger,sturdier enclosure. I think that this would also work for cats/kittens while house training. I bought the pink one for my 3 month old American cocker spaniel and it was definitely not a good choice. It's cute and the color is nice but it's too easy for the sides to cave in and if your dog or cat is super crazy, they can actually move this around the floor like a hamster ball. This is probably fine for small, inactive puppies, dogs, kittens or cats. It's spacious enough for a sedentary furry friend. My hyperactive little terror sunk her teeth into the mesh sides and started pulling it apart. She also figured out how to unzip it. I would not recommend it.kejean12

We are picking up a puppy in two weeks. This came with a cute little bed that exactly fit in the crate we had purchased. It also came with a floppy dog that has a slit in the belly. There was a tiny heart that goes into this along with small heat packs. This mimics the mommy dog’s heat and sounds. I got this product before I brought my Yorkie pup home. She has slept through the night and I credit that to the ‘Mama’ dog with the awesome heart beat which has allowed the rest of the household to sleep as well. She loves the pull toy but not is really sure what to do with the teething ring. It seems to be a bit too big for her little mouth just now. The heat packs that came with the kit are indeed the best idea as it simulates the heat coming from the ‘Mama’ dog. I have told a number of people including the people at the veterinary clinic about the Puppy Starter Kit. Our family is very pleased with this product especially our little Yorkie, Dusty.
I love this set— the dog is a must-have for new puppies! It makes the first few nights a breeze, especially if you crate train! And the toys are entertaining without being overwhelming. The blanket, however, doesn’t absorb puppy accidents so when you pick it up, any liquid wicks off all over the place. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be but I don’t personally like it, so I’ll keep using other options until our pup gets better at “holding it,” then try the blanket again.

The medium size I got was a lot bigger than I thought which is a wonderful surprise. I’ve split it into 2 and the double doors make it possible. I am currently training my little pup to use the other side as a bathroom as he weathers his first Chicago winter. Love it! And the great thing is the large window on the side is able to be tucked in the top to keep one side always open. The other smaller door doesn’t tuck on the top but that doesn’t bother me because that door is against the wall and not an issue at all. Quality seems great. Have had it for a few weeks and I love it. And so does my lil 10lb pup in his medium crate (but it’s large for him!). I love Petco. So sorry I can’t give this kennel a 5 star rating. Love the style. Purchased “large” size for 40 pound female lab/hound mix, 17 months young; fit perfectly (even 75 pound male “cousin” slept curled up a couple of times, for novelty). She’s not perfectly kennel/crate trained. Visiting our daughter & didn’t want dog to run around unsupervised. 1st time used kennel successfully for a few hours. 2nd time unfortunately used a lot longer. She was observed on camera chewing/pulling on rear end and pushing way out of bottom (latched) small front door. She got minor abrasions on cheek and paw; was a TIGHT SQUEEZE out. MOST UNFORTUNATE! Ughhhh; other purchasers had reported wire weaknesses, but I truly wanted to believe that my dog wouldn’t be strong enough. I will talk to customer service now. We have a growing 7 month-old newfypoo so needed to upgrade our crate to a larger size. I chose this crate for 2 specific reasons: #1, the height and #2, the top-folding door on the side of the crate. My newfypoo needed the additional height so he isn't hunched over if he's sitting up. The height on this size has given him an inch or two of extra clearance and should still work when he's done growing. For the 2nd point, I LOVE the top-folding side door. Because of where we keep the crate, we only use the side door and it has been awesome not having to walk around a door that opens to the side and is in the way of the main flow of traffic. Even though the crate is noticeably bigger than our old one, it feels like it takes up the same amount of space because of that door. I can't speak highly enough of it. For more practical items, the crate is very sturdy and well made. There were no problems with shipping and other than needing a little muscle, the crate went together very easily. My newfypoo isn't one that will try to escape from a crate, so I can't speak to that, but I have been very impressed with the quality of this crate and how easy it was to get my big-little puppy used to it. I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09
We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! I almost did not purchase this crate due to the multiple bad reviews. Glqd I purchased it qnyway. Other than the people who recieved damaged or warped crates, I'm not sure why there are so many reviews claiming it is difficult to assemble. I'm 4'11", 90 lbs, had 3 kids under 5 in the same room, and I assembled it alone without any real difficulties. The aforementioned children are in one of the review photos to show the enormity of the crate. The 9 month old Great Dane is in the other photo. I got this product before I brought my Yorkie pup home. She has slept through the night and I credit that to the ‘Mama’ dog with the awesome heart beat which has allowed the rest of the household to sleep as well. She loves the pull toy but not is really sure what to do with the teething ring. It seems to be a bit too big for her little mouth just now. The heat packs that came with the kit are indeed the best idea as it simulates the heat coming from the ‘Mama’ dog. I have told a number of people including the people at the veterinary clinic about the Puppy Starter Kit. Our family is very pleased with this product especially our little Yorkie, Dusty.
I love this set— the dog is a must-have for new puppies! It makes the first few nights a breeze, especially if you crate train! And the toys are entertaining without being overwhelming. The blanket, however, doesn’t absorb puppy accidents so when you pick it up, any liquid wicks off all over the place. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be but I don’t personally like it, so I’ll keep using other options until our pup gets better at “holding it,” then try the blanket again.
We brought her our newest 8 week old addition 5 days ago. He's our 3rd puppy in recent years (so we aren't new to this). He hasn't once cried out/ whined at night in his kennel. The only difference is the snuggle puppy's beating heart. He immediately calms and settles down to sleep when it's on. These are very high quality durable and useful gates. There are tiny rubber pads under so you know which side to grab after putting away and the ease of the hinges are excellent. They are heavy enough to let the pet know it's stable and it's not a easy move with a nose plus the size and amount of panels make the setting of your area customized to the fit. I actually will buy more so I can use them out on the patio. Our dog understands boundaries and seems satisfied to see us until the entry is opened. I bought one brown which is a nice dark walnut color brown and a white one which both have a nice what I would describe as an enameled type gloss finish for protective wear. This is a cute pet travel case for my daughters dolls. She has the OG dolls and assessories, and it goes well with her doll pets. My kid was so excited to get this. This dog carrier is perfect for a little stuffed animal (see the picture- but keep in mind that stuffed animals do not come with this carrier). My kid loved being able to put the stuffed animal in there with all of the other “supplies” that come in this kit. The carrier is pink with cute little paw prints on the side that act as pockets. There’s Velcro to help the “shield” stay up. Some of the additional toys include miniature dog toys, food, bags, water carriers, brush- and all seem very realistic! They also have little clips with them (which of course my kid took off!) for ease with holding in place. The pretend poop is also included and hilarious- have my kid a big chuckle! The poop bag holder actually holds a bag and opens in a very life- like manner. My kid just loves this and felt that this was the perfect way to practice taking care of the stuffed animals. The biggest issue that was noticed by my kid: the straps are not realistic and a kid is unable to “wear” the carrier- whether like a backpack or even a sling carrier. But this has provided hours of entertainment for my kids, so what more could I want as a parent?!? I purchased this for my niece. She is not into dolls but she plays with her stuffed animals a lot so I thought she would enjoy this. She immediately opened it and started to brush her stuffed puppy and gave him a "bath" with the shampoo. They played fetch and played with some of the other included toys until it was time to leave the park. Upon leaving the park she gathered all of the items and put them in the back pack and carried that along with us on our walk home. Easy to put together. I was able to do it by myself ( 53 yr old female). I didn’t have any problems screwing the pieces together. The directions were easy to follow. I was able to get both of my dogs in it once I took the bottom door off. Negative: one of the plugs came out of one of the door halves and 1/2 the insulation came out. I will say when I was looking for a duck house I spent countless hours looking for the perfect option. Florida weather and sun does wonders to things outside. I came across this house and it just stood out. When it arrived and I was dreading assembling because let’s be real directions suck! Their directions were actually awesome and the build was a breeze! However our poor ducks only got to enjoy this for a couple weeks before we had the worst Hurricane in history make landfall right through our backyard! Our ducks coop was destroyed when a tree landed on it. I was devastated their brand new house was all in the mangled mess. However upon inspections in the aftermath of the hurricane I would say this house was more solid than our own. It withstood a Cat 4 pushing Cat5 Hurricane with what appears as to be minimal damage. Heck the duck house roof held on better than our own house did! The duck house has a couple shingles that came off and the front porch ripped off but the outter shell held tight! 10/10 recommend this house for any outdoor need! I will however have to purchase a new one to give this home it’s full potential it originally had in our coop!Jessica

If you used these in the living room you wouldn't need to apologize for its looks. If someone objects to how these stairs look send them packing and hug your pet. For a pet that can't jump up anymore this is a firm foam that my 20lb dog can maneuver easily to get in bed with us. Floor to couch or chair would be even easier. They don't wabble or slide, even on a wooden floor, when he launches himself from the top step. They would be a compliment to any room for a needy pet. Vacuums easily to remove even fuzzy shih tzu hair. In fact his fuzzy hair doesn't cling to this fabric compared to the other stairs we tried. Sticky roller works well too. Fabric doesn't lift away from stairs like the last set did. The fabric is very smooth which also facilitates cleaning. We aren't seeing impressions of his footprints depressing into the foam. The foam is firm enough it just bounces back. These stairs are NOT a block of styrofoam. We haven't had any stains so I can't speak for that. Wasn't as tall as I thought it would be. The quality was excellent and being shipped it still arrived in excellent condition. It was received clean and is was well-made.
