I am very pleased with this Dog Crate – it is a very attractive addition to my cottage decor. My dog, a 70# labradoodle is very comfortable in it, however, I had to replace the bed cushion because the bolstered sides of the cushion eliminated about 6 inches of room for him to stretch out in. I just replaced it with a flat dog bed I had that fits the crate perfectly, and now he uses the bed cushion elsewhere in the house. The only reason I am not giving this a 5th star is that the locking mechanism on the doors is pretty flimsy. And one of the slide locks at the bottom of the door is not properly aligned so it is unusable. Fortunately, my dog is content in a crate and does not try to get out – but he could get out, easily, if he tried. I will have to put a stronger lock on the doors myself.Donna

It takes a little persuasion to get him in there but once he’s in and cosy, he settles in! I have the non orthopaedic bed which has a thicker mattress , I was disappointed with the mattress of the more expensive orthopaedic bed so emailed Snoozer to return the item with the intention of reordering . I have returned the bed which costs £14 as it is a stipulation of snoozer to send it via recorded mail, I’ve emailed them on two separate occasions to ask if they have received the bed and about my refund but no response. However I am getting emails frequently to leave a review!? This is the second Cozy Cave I have purchased, the original is 4 years old now and still as good as new but I have 2 chihuahuas who both love it and, although they can both fit in it, my little girl isn’t fond of sharing! My dog, little whippet Bertie, adores his cozy cave. It’s high quality, strong and durable feel. The ortho mattress give is a sense of stability/firmness (while also soft) which I think adds to both the comfort and the durability- it I can’t see how it would go lumpy like some dog beds . I received my cozy cave but I received package poorly. The foam was ripped and the cave itself where the plastic piece is was already falling apart. I sent pictures and emailed the company and they responded immediately! They shipped out a new one right away. I received the new one and it was in perfect condition but the foam was different than the original one I received. It is working quite well so far. But if you have a Vizsla you would understand that they get in and hide in things aggressively by digging and burrowing… I’m afraid the sides of the cozy cave are not going to stay sewn together long because the the thread on the edge is weak… otherwise I LOVE IT BUT I know it can’t withstand the pressure on the edges of the opening of the cozy cave. Somehow they need to try and reinforce this better. It is very supportive and my dog loves it however. But I’m not sure if it is worth the price. Great concept, but not sturdy. Bottom started to rip in the middle from the weight of a medium sized 8 month old Australian Shepherd. Then he began to get himself tangled in the top, so that had to be removed and it was tearing at the seam. It seemed like he was too big for it. The cat had done well with it before I have ot to the dog that was kept outside. Shouldn't give it to a rambunctious puppy.Barbara G.
This is my 2nd bed. The first one succumbed to the weather after a couple of years. The fabric of the shade canopy ripped to shreds first, but we continued to use the bed for another summer until a heavy child tried to stand on it and his leg went through. As lightweight and easy to move the bed is, though, I didn’t expect it to last forever, and I purchased a new one as soon as the large size version was restocked. I can’t get my old severely arthritic and stubborn bulldog to use it, but she’s happy to stay inside when I work outside. My mama’s boy pug insists on being with me wherever I am, and he absolutely loves the bed and it helps him with the heat. I know he doesn’t really need this huge one, but I still have hopes that the much larger bulldog will try it sometime.
