I clean my cocker's ears every 7 to 10 days with ear wash and use the non-alcohol canine ear wipes a couple of times a week for maintenance but every few months she'll get stinky, yeasty ears. My vet has prescribed several different treatments but none have worked as well as the Surolan drops. On day 3 she stopped scratching and rubbing them and by day 4 the smell was completely gone. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Helped my pup with her ear infection. But it came back two months later. So instead I googled and found that if I got Monistat and Hydrocortisone (equal parts) and applied it to the outer ear affected then thinned it out with some water and dropped it into her ear, it was just as good.

We have a 6 pound 12 year old Chihuahua who recently had a reaction to a newer and larger "chew-able" heartworm preventative that contained an added ingredient. It's like she was in a daze, staring, trembling and walking in "slow motion"…very scary! My vet recommended Interceptor as I was convinced my sweet Greyhound became ill every month when I gave her Heart Guard. She would have an upset stomach and diarrhea for days after receiving it. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. So we did the best we could with a dropper to feed and water her and rushed out to get Vetericyn to help stave off the infection which reduced the angry redness to a healthier pinkish. For the very few days we had before we had to go, I was keeping her hydrated and was spraying her face with the Vetericyn regularly (as directed) even as we headed out the door with one last treatment. We did cut our weekend trip short by a day out of concern for her, but when we came back she was doing significantly better in that the swelling was down, but was reddened again. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. When I first found out about this product, I used it to loosen tartar on my under one year old dogs teeth. And it worked! I was able to scrape off the tartar after about a week or so. My Chiweenie's teeth do not have tartar on them since I started using this. He has needed his teeth cleaned twice a year which is very expensive and potentially dangerous since they have to use general anesthesia. If you want to jeopardize your dog having seizures and kidney failure then use this product. Our dog has suffered from stinky breath forever even though she gets her regular vet cleanings, and we were using another tooth treatment. She’s a beagle / shitzu / pug mix, so she is already genetically doomed in the tooth area anyway, so I’ve always been concerned with her dental health and worried about it leading to other health issues. When I saw this, I was skeptical she wouldn’t notice it in her water. With that beagle nose, she sniffs out even the best tricks I try to pull, but she hasn’t noticed it yet, and the vet recently commented on how amazing we are doing with her teeth. I told her it is simply a matter of adding a cap full of the solution to her water every morning (I keep it by the sink since the bottle is small enough and doesn’t stick out, so I don’t forget.) and trust it is doing its thing. She told us to keep doing what we are doing and said she would check it out. So I have some reservations about this product. If you search other reviews across the internet, you get insane reports about this potentially causing seizures /epileptic episodes, wasting away, eye problems, all kinds of crazy stuff. However, it also does have a fair amount of people preaching that it's legit. The potential side effects are SEVERE, and it doesn't seem like the brand has done much to mitigate those cases or fears?? Knowing all that, I chose to use this for my cat with extreme caution. He gets stinky breath from whenever he eats fish based products (extreme common for cats) but the reason why I'm willing to take any of those risks is because it honestly reminds me of Accutane. I've never had to use Accutane myself, but I know that 1) It's a last resort 2) It is practically guaranteed to work 3) Side effects range from IBS to infertility /severe birth defects. So… my cat's halitosis isn't that severe to illicit the full dose. I use roughly half to a third of the recommended amount in his water fountain (which I highly recommend getting if you don't have one). So at a very low dose, his bad breath has indeed been kept at bay and I monitor his status very closely. This product works, I just strongly recommend using the lowest effective dose (just like with any human medication) and if your pet's breath is so dang stanky you feel like they need the full dose, I highly recommend exhausting all your other options first / supplementing with proper hand toothbrushing / diet changes. I bought this because I moved into my mothers home with my bird which I'd had for at least two-three years. Neither I or my bird had problems, but 6 months into staying here both myself and my bird started showing signs of something and my daughter and her kids had moved in also right after I did and that's when my bird and I started getting weird things on us! I used an entire bottle of this stuff, and I still have bed bugs, and the mites are eating me alive. I have cleaned my entire living quarters, this stuff didn't make a dent. I started using it as soon as it arri and I help stop the spread. I don't like vacuuming every day so this help to keep them dead. I use it as directed in my scabies eradication regime along with the Premo travel size spray, the Premo laundry additive and just recently got the Sleep guard essential oil repellent. I have a pretty severe case of scabies so it's going to take a bit longer than the usual 3 days that I read online. We have a male Bernese Mountain Dog that started limping on his front right leg at a year and six months. After taking him to the vet for a full body X-Ray, we were informed he had some inflammation in-between his bones that was normal for a growing large breed dog – AKA growing pains. He tried some pain medication but it didn't work on him. He didn't squeal in pain when he walked but he was clearly limping for over a month. After reading reviews on this product from other websites, I decided to buy it. So glad I did because after a week he stopped limping. Could be a coincidence…. but I really think this was why! For the first week you double the dosage, so for 100lb dog he was getting 4 scoops in the morning and 4 scoops at night. And then after that just 4 scoops in the morning. This is a great product. I have used other enzyme products before, and they are all good. But this one seems to work faster and give more benefit overall. About 3 years ago my (now) 12 year old doxie Buddy suddenly and unexplainedly lost the use of both left legs. All the muscle also quickly disappeared in both legs from lack of use. You can imagine how devestating that was! Well, $6,000 and multiple tests and specialist Vets later, they ""think"" it is his immune system attacking itself. They put him on steroids and he regained the use of his legs, and muscles came back, although the front leg is bent a little due to the initial muscle loss I guess. Anyway, I tried weaning him off the steroid a year or so ago, and the problem came right back. Now he has to have regular blood checks in order to get the steroid prescription refilled.
