First of all, I was extremely impressed and excited when i received this as my dogs are petrified to get their nails trimmed but when i opened it and plugged it in, NOTHING. I know it isn't influensters fault as they get things prepackaged, but mine came defective. It WONT turn on. Another great experience trying out the Conair Propet Nail Grinder. This baby is really a value! For around $35 you can trim your pets nails at home comfortably and safely. It's very simple to use and since it's ergonomically designed to be extremely lightweight, comfortable to hold and has a grip so the tool won't slip from your hand there's no fumbling around with it while your pet anxiously waits. Super light, extremely durable and feels like it's constructed with high quality materials so it should last a good while. My experience with my scariest scaredy-dog was quick and stress free because number one it's whisper quiet! Definitely high marks for that! And number two very light vibration so it won't scare the s**t out of your animal and won't tire your arm and hand out! Last but not least it has a safety guard ( it's adjustable Even! ) so as to not pull your doggos hair into the grinder while it's spinning. This is a well made toy and very challenging to get the chameleon out of the egg. All my dogs like it. I think it might be the most challenging since the egg is in the center of the toy. So far my dogs have not been able to do it on their own and I help them and they get all excited about different parts of the toy becoming available to hold and play with. I would recommend it for all size dogs since my 20 lb dog likes it as much as my bigger dog and both carry it easily. I would supervise since it could be chewed up by a bored dog and seems to work best for us when we play with the dogs and the hatchables toys together. I was already a super fan of ToeGrips – but today became an even bigger fan! We have been ToeGrips users since Sept 2021. This is the first time we have been to the vet office with ToeGrips on. What an amazing difference! Last time – we had to help her walk, keeping her back legs together – and the vet had to just carry her to the back to get X-rays. This time she walked all on her own and confident with no slipping. At the end of the visit the vet mentioned how much better she was than last time and talked to me about the ToeGrips! Honest information for potential customers- you do need to check them to make sure they are in grip zone and change them out based on your dogs needs – at first we changed every 45 days – now I need to “change her tires” about every three weeks, especially certain toes that she uses more , and trim paw fur. So this is not a set it and forget it product – but all these things are so easy to do and in my opinion worth it for the lack of slipping and potential injury. We have an 18 yr old Beagle hound mix at 45 lbs who has developed arthritis in his back hips and lower back. We found our dog slipping on the tile and hardwood whenever she got excited but didn’t know these were an option and put rugs everywhere. Then one day she couldn’t stand at all —slipping and struggling to stand and then whimpering and urinated on herself by the time we found her. We finally found toegrips and put them on her. She hates her toes being touched and this was a little more effort/fight than I expected from her — definitely recommend a second person is possible to help distract your pup! But immediately you could tell when she approached the hardwood floor after standing up that she could tell the grip was different. She looked at her feet and the floor and walked cautiously then seemed to accept it was less work to walk across the floor then previously. When she prances with excitement now she may slip very rarely but can easily get up on her own with little effort. We are less worried about leaving her alone and finding her unable to stand. She is a long haired terrier with very furry paws which made me think these may not work for her but very impressed with the results and quite a relief for her quality of life improvement. I've used this as a base coat under nail polish on my toes, and as a 'treatment' on otherwise bare fingernails. As a base coat it's good, giving a nice smooth surface and protecting from staining when using strong colours. For 3 decades of my life I lived with severe skin issues due to undetected food sensitivities. This resulted in damaged nails and cuticles. My nails are weak, will not grow past my finger tips, and are ridged. My cuticles were always dried and inflamed. We never had one of these used on both our cat and dog before. We’ve always just used good old fashioned dog nail clippers. Doing the nails has always been a fight because they hate having them done.Over the past year , I’ve been horrible about keeping up with their nails (totally my fault), so they’ve grown longer than they should, and so has the quick. It was suggested to me to try one of these because it’s less likely to cut their quick. I was pleasantly surprised with what came in the box. There are a couple different sand paper pieces, a (grinding piece) I and a grinding stone a well. I tried the grinding stone initially, but my dog’s nails were just too long for it. I switched it to the heavy-duty sandpaper and it worked really well.Within a few minutes I managed to get the nails down fairly close to the quick without hurting him And this is from someone who has never used a nail grinder before (nor has my dog had one used on him). I ended up rotating nails every few seconds, like the instructions said. It recommended no more than about 4 seconds per nail at a time, so we swapped back and forth between her nails until they were all done. It didn’t take long and my dog was pretty comfortable with the whole procedure, especially considering this is something we’ve never done before. The nail grinder isn’t super noisy, the clear cover has nice holes that are different sizes, depending on your dogs nails, and it keeps most of the nail dust from spraying up/out. The only complaint I have is I have no idea if the locking button is locked or not and It doesn’t really seem to make a difference if I push it in or not. I do wished the speed of the sanding wheel would go even faster then the two speeds for dogs with really thick nails. Don’t think I’ll be going back to regular nail clippers anytime soon! Parts and attachments ,are easily obtainable Safer then using a nail cutter and risking hitting the quick.
I like this gentle paw nail grinder. It's relatively quiet compared to other models out there (between my sister and I, we've tried a bunch for our dogs). I like that it's cordless, bc otherwise, I feel like it would be impossible to use. The battery placement is a little confusing, but I do like that the lid shuts tightly. It's easy to hold, and comfortable in your hand. I've tried to use this on my dog several times, even after giving her a million treats, it feels like- but she just does not like the vibration very much. I'll be able to get one, maybe 2 nails done and then she is done with it and jumps up and runs off. It's been a painstaking process to try to get them all done. I do think this is gentler and easier than using the dog nail clippers, so I would recommend it.Mrsg83

I like this product. I'm too busy with my hands and don't have time for constant manicures and nail repair. This product gives my fingernails a little shine and hardens them. It lasted over a week before I took it off easily with remover and polished again. I ordered the light pink bottle but it is definitely NOT pink at all. With one application it is clear. I started using Connectin for my 13-year-old pitbull approximately a month ago giving her 2 a day. She had been struggling with stairs for at least a year coming up one at a time very slowly and taking breaks in between steps. Much to my surprise she actually ran up the stairs a few days ago even though she has a luxated patella in one knee and an old ACL injury in the other knee. I have a full sized golden retriever and this worked a lot better than expected. It has two settings and the lowest one works perfectly. It has 4 or 5 different sized holes in the top that keep you from shaving off too much. I had never used this before and didn't want to use the clippers because I was afraid of cutting them too short. With these he'll pull away if he feels any uncomfort. I got all of his nails over a two day period and it's almost addicting. There's really no cons about this tool. If you go to fast you can smell some burning of the nails but that's only when you push too hard.Brian
I’ve bought two of these. The first is a bit quieter then the second one. I think it works great and my dog (Chinese Crested) hates her nails clipped however she sits for the nail grinder without much fuss. The rough brown attachment grinds down faster but is a little noisier. The stone like attachment smooths and is more quiet. I like this item. The only reason I bought the second one is I needed attachments and it was just easier in this time of limited stock. Don’t know what I would do without it because otherwise I would have to make trips to the groomer at my vets office.Snepp
This is crap! I bought this today, and it didn’t even last 3 minutes. The second speed never worked, so i was forced to work with the first that would randomly stop. Until the screw that kept the sanding band on sprung off and cracked the safe guard. I tightened the screw and it popped off again in less than a minute.
