Bought this from Petco on 02182022. Sprayed it on two items our mini dachshund pup has been attacking. The attacks stopped immediately. It has no smell when wet or when dry. Also, spray the items outdoors or in the garage, away from anything that someone might touch. One of the pup's Kong squeaker balls caught some of the overspray. Now she is avoiding ALL her toy balls. I had a perfectly pleasant experience with this company, but the product itself has only caused my puppy to act out. I'm not sure why, especially after reading so many positive reviews, but these "calming bites" trigger the opposite behavior in my dog. He has far more energy and it's all destructive/aggressive. Every time I've given him a full tablet, he has stayed up later than usual wanted to play (think midnight instead of 9 PM). So these bites aren't for us. These calming pills are great. We use them for our 60# pit bull who is afraid of fireworks and thunderstorms. If it's around a holiday or we see a storm coming in, we give 2 beforehand and it takes the edge off of her fear. She is still scared and will hide and shake a little but it is much less stressful then it would be without the pills. We will follow up with 2 more later that night if the storms go longer or the fireworks might continue. We also use it for some of our foster dogs- over excitement in the car, before a vet visit or any other really stressful event. I purchased some peanut butter aller-immune bites to try to help our French Bulldog from licking/biting her paws. She was not a fan of the peanut butter ones at all. This chew is a game changer. My pup loves to chew and this stick last forever. He destroys most cow ears, raw hides, and any other chew within a couple of minutes to an hour. These yak chews last him days. The last one, in the pic he didn't like the flavor profile and has lasted him over a week. He loves to conquer it so he still hasn't stop chewing.
I left the 5 stars because it said experience. The product in the other hand I am not happy with. I may not have read the product details clearly I m not sure. If you are expecting a product similar to a bully stick this is NOT. This product when my dog chewed on it came apart in small pieces and made a mess. About 6 months ago, my cat, who has feline leukemia, stopped eating, was constantly vomiting, sleeping, and cringed whenever I touched her. I have a 4-Years old purebred Keeshond (Precious Assal). Unfortunately Assal has seasonal allergy. I use to give him Cetirizine HCL 10 mg per his vet recommendation. Since it wouldn't work, the dosage was increased to 5-Tabs / day (50 mg). It still wasn't working, until I decided to change it to more healthy approach. Tried the Chews several times over the course of a week and a half in different situations. I used it on my German Shepard who is itchy from allergies. It soothed her and cut out the scratching. I would definitely recommend. I did a little research on the product before I used it to see if anyone had any major issues when they tried it. I use it a couple times a week or more depending on how flaired up she gets. I do like that it's an all natural product. I also use the Burts Bees shampoo and conditioner as well. Remember if the dog has opened sores do not use the product you would need to see a vet or get the sores to clear up first before applying.michelle.j

My 7 month old yellow lab was excessively itchy and dropping fur like crazy. All dogs scratch and shred…this is my second Labrador so I know what "normal" shedding and scratching look like…this puppy was miserable. Then she broke out into hives. A treatment plan of Benadryl combined with a skin supplement was recommended by someone I trust. While waiting for the skin supplement to arrive, I began adding ground flaxseed to her food. The results were immediate. The shedding nearly stopped altogether. When these supplements arrived, I stopped adding the ground flaxseed to her food and fed these instead. The shedding and itching continued to improve. I stopped the Benadryl completely and her skin and coat looked amazing and she was obviously more comfortable. When I ran out of the soft chews, the shedding and scratching started all over again within 2-3 days. Proof for me that the soft chews were doing the job. When reordering, I decided to shop for a supplement that also had flaxseed but was cheaper per dose. I ended up ordering "The Missing Link" powder. The powder requires refrigeration and a measuring spoon and it leaves a fishy odor behind. In addition she sheds a little more on the powder than when on the soft chews. Regarding the breath aid…my lab never has bad breath anyway, so I cannot comment on that. And for those interested…in the meantime I have switched her food from Science Diet Large Breed Puppy which was full of corn to Blue Buffalo Large Breed Puppy. This is a thank you letter. I cannot thank you enough, because I believe you saved my beautiful dog's life. She is a German Shorthaired Pointer that we adopted 2 years ago when she was about 6-9 months old and was completely ravaged with mange. We immediately took her to our vet and started her on intensive treatments at his recommendation. For a full year she was continuously getting special dips and taking Cephalexin and Ivermectin, which cost us a fortune. We also had to give her antibiotics every so often for the infections that the mange would cause. The medicines would seen to work for a little while but as soon as she was off of them things would go right back like before, with her losing huge patches of hair and itching like crazy. Additionally, we became very concerned because it seemed like her personality would change a lot with the medicines and we did not want to have to medicate her for her entire life (although we love her dearly and would have paid for the medicines forever if it would have helped). When I came across some research that suggested the medicine she was on could have neurological side-effects we started looking for another way. My husband found your website and we figured we had nothing to lose. We cut out the medicines from the vet completely and instead switched to a regimen of Naturasil for Pet Mange baths, Science Diet Sensitive Skin food, and Missing Link vitamins. The change was immediately apparent and within 2 months she appeared to be completely cured. Love this product. My poor sheltie gets these tribble rashes on her belly and the vet gave her a skin antibiotic plus a steroid shot to see if it was maybe a bacteria infection but the rash remained so i just assumed the rash was from some skin allergy she must have from God knows what. I saw this product at Petco and decided to give it a try. It got rid of the rash within about two weeks of using it about three times a day and she doesn't lick it off like the Benadryl cream i had been putting on her in the beginning. I also changed her food to Hills science for sensitive skin and stomach along with giving her the Septiderm-v shampoo bath every couple of weeks and overall it seems to be working! So I have a beabull, mostly English bulldog. He’s a 7/8 mix. Out of nowhere his cute little black nose started getting crusty and cracked. I waited a while and it didn’t let up. I bought this for my dog’s (14 year old Shar Pei) keratin buildup on his nose and paws. It dissolved the stuff great and I was able to wipe off the stuff on his paws after one application. That was really impressive. My dog has fairly mild Hyperkeratosis but his nose gets a fairly thick layer of buildup, and this product allows you to remove it fairly easily after a few applications over a couple days and a cooperative pooch. I was really impressed with how well it worked. I use it now preventatively which prevents bad buildup on his nose and paws, so all in all I’m certainly a big fan. I recommend at least the 2oz can if you think you’ll use it on the paws. The 2 oz can generally lasts me a couple months even with multiple applications per day. This Isis the best stuff ever. It helped out my German Shepard that was full of skin soars and now is all clear and has healthily skin and a beautiful coat now. She takes these everyday and loves the flavor. I would highly reccomend them for any dog that has allergies. They are a life saver. They work so well.
