We were one month from a Saculectomy for our 5 year old Frmale Basset. Our Vet struggled and we tried every "Conventional" medical solution there is (variable antibiotics/long run 6-8 week daily doses of Clavamox), injection and oral steroids, anti inflammatory, immune suppression (Cyclosporin) as well as full scale "cleaning", environmental elimination of all potential allergens and EVERY DIET there is (raw food we did elect to try, with a Paramedicine background, and a close neighbour who fell very ill contaminating them self with raw food, we skipped that). Both dogs are on Glandex. We are at week 5…Ginger's rectum cleared within 2 weeks. We titrated her from Clavamox over 3 weeks and having every ill experience, she could not have gone 3 days without Clavamox as her Anal Sacs would become infected. She is 3.5 weeks antibiotic free and while we cannot right "cured", we're not Vets. Neither dog has any sign, symptom, or indication of Anal Sac, Rectal and/or "contraindication". Both dogs have recently seen our Vet for bloodwork and they are very healthy. There really is NO SCOOTING. That looks cured to us. Thanks so much! A++++++++++

Bought this from Petco on 02182022. Sprayed it on two items our mini dachshund pup has been attacking. The attacks stopped immediately. It has no smell when wet or when dry. One warning: wear rubber gloves when applying! My granddaughter and I both got it on our hands and despite several hand washings, we both got yucked at supper time. Very bitter! Keep your mouth shut and avoid talking while spraying this, and wash your hands thoroughly afterward. It's really bitter, and you'll taste it for yourself if you don't! We learned from the internet that you should first give your puppy a taste on a cotton ball or something, then hold his water up for 30 minutes to an hour so he doesn't think he should just drink water to get rid of the taste. We sprayed the furniture he can't stop chewing after that, and it worked pretty good. My Great Pyrenees has been suffering from chronic reoccuring staph infection due to food allergies for almost 2 yrs. Every time he finishes a dose of antibiotics and skin relief meds the rash starts to come back. I read about using turkey tail to help with skin issues, and after he has been on this for a little over a week his entire body is healed. This is an amazing product! My 7 month old yellow lab was excessively itchy and dropping fur like crazy. All dogs scratch and shred…this is my second Labrador so I know what "normal" shedding and scratching look like…this puppy was miserable. Then she broke out into hives. A treatment plan of Benadryl combined with a skin supplement was recommended by someone I trust. While waiting for the skin supplement to arrive, I began adding ground flaxseed to her food. The results were immediate. The shedding nearly stopped altogether. When these supplements arrived, I stopped adding the ground flaxseed to her food and fed these instead. The shedding and itching continued to improve. I stopped the Benadryl completely and her skin and coat looked amazing and she was obviously more comfortable. When I ran out of the soft chews, the shedding and scratching started all over again within 2-3 days. Proof for me that the soft chews were doing the job. When reordering, I decided to shop for a supplement that also had flaxseed but was cheaper per dose. I ended up ordering "The Missing Link" powder. The powder requires refrigeration and a measuring spoon and it leaves a fishy odor behind. In addition she sheds a little more on the powder than when on the soft chews. Regarding the breath aid…my lab never has bad breath anyway, so I cannot comment on that. And for those interested…in the meantime I have switched her food from Science Diet Large Breed Puppy which was full of corn to Blue Buffalo Large Breed Puppy. I agree with the other reviewer, who said they are too thick! I have to give away 1/2 the bag, because they’re too thick for my Havanese! The package says he needs a small, for his size, but he just can’t chew the big thick ones. I’ve resorted to buying the Petite, a time or two. Those are a completely different item. Sort of a compressed stick. However, those are gone in two chomps! I’m trying to find a different solution, all together, but I still want a chew type dental stick. Not greenies, type, though. My dogs loves these, and they keep their teeth very clean. I know people get nervous with rawhide, but the trade off is worth it. These chew chips are coated with enzymes that clean the dogs teeth extremely well – and apparently it makes my dogs obsessed with them too. Because they love the taste, they actually CHEW them and don't immediately swallow them (the normal issue with rawhide chews). I've recommended these to all my dog owner friends and haven't received a single bad review yet. The trick is they need one of these day. There are 30 in a bag. So about a bag a month (depending on how quickly they finish the chew, my greyhound does one of these in a day no problem). It comes out to be about $200 a year, which for me has proven to be worth it, especially with a greyhound as greyhounds have notoriously bad teeth. My beagle/mut loves them too. Since getting my puppy at 8 weeks (it’s been 3 months now), he’s had diarrhea on/off from diet changes with kibble and chews. We finally found our happy place and his stools are consistently now normal, but yesterday – I had to take him to urgent care because his glands were especially full. Probably from all the diarrhea he’s been having as a younger pup. On top of canned pumpkin, my vet recommended this as well. I started him on it yesterday and noticed an immediate difference in his stool. It’s soft, but not hard and normal. My German Shepherd loves peanut butter, but it’s been hard to get him to eat these. They resemble the size, smell and texture of pill pockets, which he associates with pills of course – he’s not a fan of the pockets or pills, hence he’s refusal to eat these. I wish there was a smaller “trial” option too. Pretty expensive if your dog doesn’t like them, plus for his 100 pound weight, he has to eat 4 of these a day! 120 chews would be roughly a months supply @ $51.00. The Vet charges me $42.00 to express his glands, which we’re doing about every 2-3 months. In June of 2013 I rescued my black cat. The Humane Society told me Sooki was about 2 years old at the time. Within a few months she started licking everything—including the furniture and especially the house walls. I took her to a Vet and she was diagnosed with feline stomatitis. Her gums were inflamed and it was recommended that all of her teeth be removed–a standard practice. I found another vet who said he had previous success with 1-TDC with cats suffering from this incurable disease. He started her on 2 per day. After 6 months there was about a 50% remission. After a year she showed no signs of the disease. The Vet said she would have to remain on 1-TDC for the rest of her life–1 per day, which I have continued.
