I received the chews and immediately gave my puppy 2 of them. She really liked them, she itches. most of the time. But the vet says she needs some type of injection to stop it completely. I don't like to give my puppy any shots but her yearly Injection for rabies. After a week of giving her 2 chews per day as per the instructions I've noticed a big reduction in the amount of her itching. She likes to eat them so apparently they must taste pretty good. Both of my finicky dogs, LOVE these Allergy Relief Skin & Coat Supplement Chews. (one of my dogs that refuses pumpkin, loves these chews!) My dogs both suffer with dry/itchy skin and are constantly scratching. I cannot believe that after 3 days they both are hardly scratching at all! I have a beagle mix who is allergic to almost everything! He's allergic to trees, pollen, grass, cats, dust, seriously the list goes on. During the spring and summer his allergies get so bad on his feet. They itch him so bad that he chews on them and it leaves them raw and then that leads to a yeast infection (which he is also allergic to). We have had him on prescription allergy medicine and even have gotten him steroids and allergy shots. This summer has been so crazy with traveling that we have only had a chance to get one allergy shot so when i saw these, which are SO less expensive than his visits to the vet I had to try. I have been giving him 1.5 pills twice a day, as the bottle recommends, for about a week and I am honestly surprised that these actually seem to be helping. He has barely touched his paws, which mean they aren't bothering him being itchy. When he chews on his feet it leaves them super pink/red and in the past week they have been getting back to their usual white coloring. I figured trying these out would maybe help him a little but since his allergies are so severe I probably wouldn't see any results so I am so impressed that I have seen results in such a short time. I'm not completely disappointed in them, they help a little with the inflammation on his feet but its still pretty bad. One customer said that it cleared her dogs feet up so I had the same hope. My standard poodle suffers from outdoor allergies. After battling them all summer the vet just said to double up on benadryl. I felt like I was drugging my dog. I saw an ad for these chews and thought it would be a better option to at least give it a try. My boy wasn't sure about the taste the first day and I had to wrap it in cheese. The second day, and every day since, he's gobbled it right down just like a treat! To test the results I totally stopped the benadryl and only gave him these chews. He only showed minor symptoms a couple of different occassions in which I went ahead and gave him a single dose of bendryl as needed. But the majority of days were symptom free (his biggest symptom is chewing his paws) and no benadryl needed. What's even better? Wow is right, because I am floored at how well this works! I have 2 pups with horrible allergies – one that nothing else works for. I've tried all different meds, including shots, and she still suffered horribly during allergy season. I reluctantly decided to try this, but we were in the middle of allergy season, and watching her suffer is just too much. Fast forward to July 2019, and my order came in the mail. I gave two of the chewables to my pup the next morning, not expecting much, but just hoping that there would at least be a little relief. Much to my surprise, she didn't scratch AT ALL that day!! These are very soft chews that can be crumbled in your hand. I like that they are all natural and have ocean kelp among other excellent ingredients. These are safe to be given to dogs of any age, and are safe for any size or breed. I feel better about giving my dog a natural supplement. My poor dog suffers from allergies enough that his eyes turn red, he sneezes, and his skin gets itchy. I've had him on these for about 3 weeks, and I've definitely seen improvement. When he gets out to roll in the grass he isn't coming in suffering like he did before he started taking these. My dog wasn't sure of the flavor right off, but since these crumble easily I was able to mix it with something else and have him take it with no problem. If you mix them into a ball of cream cheese they go down easy! I appreciate that there is no corn in these as that is a frequent problem I've had with many other treats and foods. My poor boy's digestive system is not corn tolerant. I'm very happy with this product and very pleased to find something natural to give my dog for his allergies. I have a very lovable and friendly male golden retriever that loves to stop, drop, and roll no matter where he is. Doesn’t matter if he’s running around our backyard, at the park, inside his favorite pet store, or just walking through a parking lot. This stuff actually works. Both my dogs have allergies and have to get the Cytopoint injections from the vet, for relief. If you have a dog w/ allergies you know these injections are pricey. Got this to try as an alternative to another brand that my dog has been using for quite some time. I like it that this one has Turmeric Root, Grape Seed Extract, Pumpkin Powder, and Bromelain. However, the Quercetin dose is just one fifth, and Fish oil just one quarter of my dog's usual supplement. I guess this one would work for those just starting out on allergy and antioxidant supplements. My little chihuahua will not eat her Pet Fresh food with this ground up in the food. I cut the tiny pink pill in half and crushed it into her bowl. She will smell her food and walk away, so this has not worked for her itchy problem. The pills might work for other breeds, but not for me. You will just have to order it and see, but maybe order one bottle instead of the pack of three.karen

Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. They smell awful and they must have tasted exactly like they smelled because he spit them out every time I gave him a chew. I even tried masking the taste with peanut butter, but he licked the peanut butter off and left the chew. The only way I could get him to eat the chew is if I wrapped it in chicken, and sometimes he would eat the chicken and still spit out the chew. It was so frustrating. I emailed the company and told them the situation. They told me to send back the 2 unopened jars and to donate the open jars or throw them away. After sending back the unopened jars they said that they are only replacing 2 jars even though I purchased 4.

I received Strella Lab’s Allergy Relief Immune Chews with omega-3, pumpkin, and enzymes. They are skin and coat supplements for itchy skin relief. My dog suddenly got a horrible skin rash and I decided to try these natural chews. First of all, she didn’t like the taste, but she is VERY finicky. Secondly, when I did get her to take them, she wouldn’t take as many as she was supposed to, so they didn’t seem to help her much. I think it’d be worth a shot to try them out on a dog who is usually less of a pain taking treats, and with a less severe case of you are interested in using trying natural cures.Soloindyray

Picture shown does not match description. I'm looking for an anti-itch spray. Bottle shows some sort of pills to calm your dogs allergy. Not sure why you don't have some sort of basic hydrocortisone spray for "hot-spot" or other itches. It works great and is inexpensive to buy.biff

I have a beagle mix who is allergic to almost everything! He's allergic to trees, pollen, grass, cats, dust, seriously the list goes on. During the spring and summer his allergies get so bad on his feet. They itch him so bad that he chews on them and it leaves them raw and then that leads to a yeast infection (which he is also allergic to). We have had him on prescription allergy medicine and even have gotten him steroids and allergy shots. This summer has been so crazy with traveling that we have only had a chance to get one allergy shot so when i saw these, which are SO less expensive than his visits to the vet I had to try. I have been giving him 1.5 pills twice a day, as the bottle recommends, for about a week and I am honestly surprised that these actually seem to be helping. He has barely touched his paws, which mean they aren't bothering him being itchy. When he chews on his feet it leaves them super pink/red and in the past week they have been getting back to their usual white coloring. I figured trying these out would maybe help him a little but since his allergies are so severe I probably wouldn't see any results so I am so impressed that I have seen results in such a short time. I've used these before in a cup style packaging. These larger quantity cone in a bag. The products work great and help my lab stop scratching. But the 4 bags I ordered were smashed into a small shipping bag with very little protection. When the product arrived I noticed the was A LOT of broken pieces and the bottom of the bag is full of granules from other broken bits too. Very disappointed my so looks forward to the treat each night so this stinks I need a spoon to scoop out the granules and put it on her food instead! I really wanted to like this stuff but unfortunately my dog had other ideas. The one and only time he actually ate it is when the cats threatened to consume his food. All other times he immediately turned his nose up at it and refused to even try. He is pretty picky, though, and likely was turned off by the smell (somewhat overpowering smoked smell). If you have a dog that is allowed any opinion on what they eat, take a pass on this stuff. If you have a dog, though, that eats anything that slows down long enough then I think it is worth a try. Be forewarned, the bottle leaks, no matter how or where you store it (my bottle is always kept upright on his snack shelf in the kitchen), and leaves a messy residue along the lid and upper portion of the bottle.
My Cairn Terrier has seasonal skin allergies. This product was easier to administer, with clear dosing instructions. He seemed to like the flavor. However, I can only assume the product had somewhat of a positive affect on him as his itching decreased, but it tends to decrease anyway in cooler weather. The one negative thing I could say about the product is how messy it gets. It seems to bubble out of the top after application, so the lid is covered in product and gets messy and sticky.
