I have been using the cushings gold for just over a month on my dog Max. I share him with a close friend and we have both noticed a big difference. One cannot underestimate how important that herbals are made with high quality ingredients, correctly and by someone that understands their uses. PetWellBeing is all that. I find their herbals work because they are blended well and made correctly. In using their herbals I have always seen improved results with my dogs. I believe in them and use them in place of medications when I understand fully what is the end goal. I was on the website looking for something to help my elderly chihuahua because I was unhappy with the meds the doctor had given me. You see he was in heart failure, and they always act like they are looking for them to die soon. I didn’t want that . I can honestly say that dogs like this product. When I first opened the bottle all of my dogs started sniffing the air and made a beeline for me. Do out of curiosity I put some drops on a paper plate and every one of them willingly licked them up, including the dog I got the drops for. I’ve done a bunch of research on Cushings because I want to help my fur baby any way I can. The ingredients in Adrenal Balance seem to be a helpful supplement. I have both dogs and cats and they all seem to like the flavor. I give them the dthen the dose that is recommended on the bottle. I haven't really noticed any difference with with how their adrenal glands are they in are they didn't really have a problem before I'm just doing it to prevent them from having problems. My Pomeranian is 14 1/2 yrs old. She was diagnosed with trachea collapse. The doctor suspected she had Cushings Disease, and I'm quite sure she has. She has all the symptoms of bloated belly, hair loss, skin infections. too thirsty and urination problems. I bought the Adrenal support drops, and I'm beyond amazed at how well she is doing. She no longer goes into a type of coma when she sleeps and would urinate on herself if I didn't get her up, which was sometimes difficult. She is now alert and somewhat playful again. This really is amazing stuff. My vet said that my 14 year old jack russell's days were numbered. She was clearly suffering with kidney disease (drinking water excessively, involuntary urinating, lethargic, and generally unhappy and it got to where we had to let here out to go in the middle of the night or she would go in the house – and going downhill fast). Other than an increase in thirst levels, my dog Tifa didn't have any other symptoms of note when she was diagnosed with Cushings and I decided to put her on the Adrenal Support and HMR Lignans. I wanted to see actual blood test proof of improvements, not just go by my personal assessment that she seems like she is drinking less water – I could just be seeing what I want to see. I have fed the mushroom complex for 3 months now as it was recommended by my vet to support my dog who has developped a tumour. She was in excellent general shape before and that has not changed. Slippery elm helps heal the gut lining from gluten. Gluten is in wheat/barley/rye..oats/corn/rice. Rice is low in gluten. Wild rice has no gluten…is a grass. Gluten/Xanthan gum/carrageenan can hurt the gut lining so less nutrients absorb. The dog got all three in a canned food which greatly hurt him and he was eating grass. My almost 15 yr old lab was tested for cushings because of his high liver enzyme results. The results were inconclusive but he has all the symptoms. We started my 8 year old terrier-mix on Adrenal Harmony earlier this year, and saw some improvement. Full improvement was shown when we were more consistent (dosage: twice daily). She was so bloated when we were not consistent, to the point where she was struggling with breathing while laying down. I made a commitment to give her the proper amount twice a day, once after breakfast and once after dinner, and she is showing much improvement. Bloat has gone down, urinating in the middle of the night has stopped, and her thirst has slowed down. Over one and a half years ago, my toy poodle started panting at odd times. Her little belly was rock hard and distended at times and the vet suspected Cushings but didn't treat her for it since the symptoms would come and go. About six months later she became very ill. I took her to a specialist who ran $3000 dollars worth of tests and told me she had about two to four weeks to live. He prescribed Trilostane and a number of other pills, a special low fat diet plus injections for her sugar. She went from 15 lbs to around 7 lbs, she threw up everything she ate including water. I decided to stop giving her all the medicine except the injections, let her eat cat food (her favorite) and let her pass. Not sure how I stumbled on this product, but I read the reviews and emailed the vet at Pet Wellbeing and got back a prompt response with a regimen that includes Adrenal Gold, milk thistle, melatonin, and flax seed lignin. I also give her a tablespoon of Metamucil in her water everyday and I bake her diabetic liver treats. She made a rapid recovery on the treatment and was her old self for about 6 months then started showing signs of the disease again but not severe (hair loss, muscle loss, tremors). She's also losing her eyesight and has incontinence but I think that is her blood sugar. My cat received a cancer diagnosis 5 weeks ago. It took 6 weeks for us to be able to get in to see a specialist. For it being a cancer office visit, it went better than expected. Especially with my cat Moonlight who has intestinal Lymphoma. A challenge to keep her eating I completely believe your product would help her I just can’t get it in her. My Mushy who I bought the Tripsey for he once had a blocked uretha . Won’t go near his wet food I feed my cats mostly human grade food , with other high quality foods grain free etc I mashed NHV INTO human (my food) tuna, salmon Roasted chicken( all organic or ocean caught) Instead of 1/2 dose twice a day I put 1/4 or an 1/8 Just to get the wellness of your product into them and that they would become accustomed to the odor( which I LOVE) .smells like the earth and healing. Overall, I would recommend this. After reading other reviews, I decided to give this a try. My dog is a 9 1/2 year old female Springer Spaniel. She started getting symptoms about 10 months ago. I’m working with 2 Vets, and she was diagnosed with Cushings and a Thyroid imbalance. She was put on 3 Rx meds. However she still had excessive thirst and the accompanying frequent urination. And I do mean frequent! For over 5 months she would need to go outside to pee at least every two hours. So I was not sleeping anymore than 2 hours at a time. It was getting critical for my own health, I live alone and for many reasons leaving my dog outside over night is not an option. I was able to add these three formulas to her Rx meds. After about a week, I started to see an improvement. I’ve been working with doses and timing on everything, but if I do that right, I can get 3-4 hours sleep at a time. This is a huge thing in my life and for my well being, as long term sleep deprivation can have very serious side effects. As I experimented on what would be most effective (Rx followed by these later, all together, etc) I found that if I don’t use these formulas, we both have a rough sleepless night. So I’m confident these formulas, all three in this combo, are helping. We are now nearly 10 months into what I’ve read is normally about a 3 year life expectancy with Cushings. We used this product on our grand dog. He was a scaly, crusty mess and had lost most of his hair. We took him to the vet and put him a regimen of medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics and an immunomodulator. We used the Skin Soother immediately after his daily bath. We also have him the salmon treats daily. I believe this product helped him regain his health. His color came back and all the scales and itching were gone. So I bought another. My pug had a dark bald spot on his neck from scratching and I was looking for something that would hopefully heal the area and let his hair grow back. I discovered the skin soother and decided to give it a try and this worked like magic! I ordered the 2 oz stick version and loved it. The application was great. It was very easy and clean to apply overall. I applied it to the area twice a day for two weeks before I was able to start seeing results. The hair started growing back and the dark skin was lightening up and becoming less dry and flaky. At the same time, my dog was scratching at it less so that was a plus. Only thing is this stick was practically gone by my second week. It would not have come close to lasting the month. That being said, I had to order another to see continued results but I ordered the larger tin instead. My only issue with this product is the tin is a lot harder to apply. The texture itself is not as soft and smooth as the stick. I also had to use my own hands to spread it on which I did not like at all. It also gets messy in the tin as my pug sheds so there is now hair stuck in the product. My recommendation to the company would be to have the stick in a larger option and I would gladly purchase that. However, currently I greatly regret purchasing two of the tins instead of the smaller sticks. All in all, this product works and I would buy it again! My 22 month old extremely active male yellow Lab, Gus, developed redness and a rash on his belly area while running him 5 miles every day in and around rice fields in Glenn County, located in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California. My dog is so persnickety, I can't even hide these in his food. I expected they would have a meaty flavor that I could trick him with, but he can smell them even if they are tucked into a piece of meat. I have a pill cutter that I used to cut these into quarters and tuck into a piece of meat, but there is no tricking him. He'll eat pieces of sausage without the pill but not the ones with the pill. I have NEVER encountered a dog before in my life such as this one. He will sniff something, and if it doesn't meet his criteria, he will let it be and never touch it. My pets tasted it but I have different reactions. Two of them eat it with no difficulties since first taste. But one is still resistant to eat it so I started to "hide" it inside another supplement (petnc Skin & Coat, which is a great product). I love the product – your packaging – AGAIN – is HORRIBLE. I ordered two of these and one arrived opened and about ten left in the the bottom of the container. The other container was in tack! So one container completely distroyed. Other items in the box were broken open: The box of Cat Food – 30 box count. Totally broken apart and all the cans were all about the box. And many dented! The shipping box itself had obviously been broken and arrived in super bad condition and a lot extra tape. The box was a mess and was part of the delay in its delivery! I have complained about your packaging practices many times before…. Seldom with any evidence that some one cares. Boxes still come beat up, destroyed, contents thrown about and dented. AND way too heavy! I will be 80 next week! Those are heavy boxes for me (or anyone!!)…..I have to take the box apart a the gate and bring items into the house. I am so thrilled with the results of this product. I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed that the formula is the same as their cat joint relief product; the dosage and texture is just different between the two. So I buy this for my 2 cats and 1 dog to avoid having to buy two different products that are essentially the same thing. I crumble 1 treat into my senior cats' wet food each day and give 2 daily to my young dog for preventative purposes. Before starting on these, both of my cats had showed some natural decline in mobility, and one of them had torn his ACL tear when attempting a high jump. After just a few days of these treats, both cats showed greater mobility, and the one with the ACL injury was jumping again after a little over a week. After several weeks, he's moving like the young, athletic cat he used to be. Most importantly, nobody seems to be in any discomfort anymore. … I will just say, though, that this new advanced formula with collagen is much stiffer/denser than the regular formula without collagen, so crumbling the treats can be a little bit of a pain. I have a brave little mini doxie that would take on the meanest badger, but hates storms or loud bangs of any kind. This product works great for my dog. She’s coonhound and beagle mix. When I first brought her home she shed something awful! HAIR WAS EVERYWHERE! I was at my wits end and so ready to rehome her due to the excess shedding. I stayed up all nite and googled and came across this product! She really loved the taste of it in the beginning, but now not so much, so I give her 1-2 tablespoons a day. I’m definitely keeping her on this for a while. It’s much more convenient than having to melt coconut oil and applying it on her food. The pro: it definitely works! Plus Petco does price match in store with online! The con: Can be a bit pricey, as You have to buy 2 or more bottles before you see results. And your pet may not like it! I suggest holding on to the receipt, as I bought one for a friend and their pet didn’t care for it. The instructions say to double the dose for the first 30 days depending on the weight of your pet. Cookie weighs about 25lbs. For the first 30days I had to give her 4 tablespoons a day sprinkled and mixed in her food. 2tblsp in the a.m and 2tblsp in the p.m. from the 16oz bottle so I ran out of the fish oil in less than a week. My baby pit bull loves this. She always seems hungry. Yet I feed her plenty and extra most days. Since adding this she seems satisfied for longer between feeding. I just drizzle most every bowl she eats with around a tablespoon. Her coat has become super shiny and smooth. Her dry patches at her elbows have gotten better as well. We have two short hair chihuahuas and they are very dandruffy. Anytime they get a nice scratch they're covered in dandruff. Especially noticeable because they have black fur. The bites are bug for my cat, i have to split it into 3 so she can eat it. She loved it at first but then didn’t care much about it. Mu cat is a picky eater so that might not be the case with your pet. I didn’t feel it changed anything in my cat’s health or coat. I have a Persian cat and they already have a lush thick hair. My 10 year old cat was literally dying because she could not eat and was getting too weak to drink. She was getting palliative, hospice type care but I didn't want her to starve to death. I searched for high calorie nutritionally sound feline supplemental food that required the smallest amount to compensate for her lack of eating. I came across this and decided to give it a try. My cat was so sick I had to use a feeding syringe to get it into her but she tolerated it and sure enough it was enough to get her to gain weight and strength and start eating again best she can. My 13 year old lab/springer mix is in advanced stage kidney disease. We moved across country and the stress was just too much and he got very sick. He wouldnt eat or drink anything. I take care of feral cats and I Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) them in order to decrease the cat population in my neighborhood. When spaying a female cat, you have to keep them for at least 4 days for them to appropriately heal and have the affects of the anesthesia to wear off completely. One of the ferals that I trapped was a skin-and-bones female that was really too young to be having the kitten she was towing around with her. So I trapped her and her only surviving female kitten, had them both fixed and proceeded to "Fatten them up" and have them heal completely. "Under the Weather" Ready-Cal was the perfect supplement to give to both mamma and baby while they healed. I kept mamma in my care for one month because she was so pathetically thin. In that month, Mamma's coat changed from a rusty brown to a glossy black. She gained weight to where you could no longer feel her ribs poking through her fur. She did not like indoor life AT ALL and could not be socialized or handled, so she was released back to her outdoor home. I continue to feed Mamma every day, even built her an outdoor heated shelter in my fenced in yard. She is very content now. She now loves people, but cannot be picked up off the ground or lifted, but allows petting and head scratches. As for her kitten, she socialized very well, is awesome at vet visits and handling, and doubled in size very quickly because of the added Ready-Cal supplement and gained weight at a rate of 1lb/month. Her blood work came back from the vet as perfect. She was de-wormed, de-fleaed, and now is added to our family as a "foster-fail" which means that she is just too stinking cute to adopt out, so I kept her as part of our family. Under the Weather "Ready-Cal" is now expected on their food during all feedings. If I put their wet food down without the Ready-CAL supplement they sniff it as something is not quite right with the food. Once I apply it to the food, they lick the brown calorie-dense "goop" (as my husband calls it) off the top of the food first, then they dig into and eat the rest. I do not feel that the kitten and Mamma cat would have recovered so fully and have such good health now if it was not for the Ready-Cal supplement. I started using this product afte my 7 year old dog was diagnosed with a Thyroid issue. She was overweight, had a lump on her neck, tail was loosing hair, all the "things/symptoms" that come with a thyroid issue. After the vet told me she HAS to be put on thyroid meds for the rest of her life, I did some research on what that meant. And then the thyroid medication recalls came. Two of my dogs tested severely hypothyroid. The first was only 2.5 years old, a neutered male deaf boxer. This was found after numerous issues that almost became fatal when he experienced anaphylactic shock last Dec. I finally found a holistic/traditional vet to figure out the root issue for him. I would have never guessed he was hypothyroid!?! He was friendly, hyper, full coat, great weight, you name it. Ultimately though he got way softer fur and decreased or eliminated allergy symptoms (paw licking, scratching, puking, etc.) after starting this supplement. My 12 year old spayed female plott hound was recently diagnosed hypothyroid as well. She had more classic thyroid symptoms (weight gain, less energy, etc.) but still had a soft full coat of fur. As an added bonus of these and other natural food and supplement changes, she is less aggressive and less reactive than she has ever been before! She used to bark at her butt daily likely due to incontinence urine burn, and that stopped too (the barking and the leaking)! She also quit her daily head shaking (likely ear allergies). I only wish I had learned all this sooner! I do use the instructions on the internet, at 1 pill per 30lbs twice per day. So my boxer gets 5 pills per day (75 lbs) and my plott gets 4 per day (60 lbs). It works wonderfully! Been using it daily and a couple other things as needed (omegas, multi-vitamin) on the boxer for about 6 months now. I had 2 maltese shitzu dogs both aged 9 and a half years old (brother and sister) from the same litter. 3 years ago our little girl was diagnosed with cushings and enlarged heart. Within 2 weeks our little boy was diagnosed with exactly the same issues and the cushings. Moving into 2018, we had both dogs on vetmedin and another tablet for fluid removal fron the lungs thag would build up. Our little girl became really sick and lethargic, wouldnt eat, wouldnt move to go to the toilet. I ordered these drops along with "Young at heart" drops for both dogs. Unfortunatley the drops were from overseas and didnt arrive before i had a chance to try them on my the little girl before she passed away after compounding problems. Move forward 2 weeks, and my boy is at the vet for the same issues with same compunding issues my girl had. We were told we were lucky if we had 3-4 days with him left due to the fluid on his lungs drowning him and his belly being that bloated you could see the veins sticking out of his belly like they were drawn on with black marker. My cats were already having huge health improvements from the 'kidney support' drops so I looked into the 'lung support' for my 13 year old Cavalier with acute bronchitis. The medication he is on made him very thirsty and he would drink excessively. He also still found breathing difficult at night. He has been using the drops for about three weeks. There is a marked improvement in his breathing. He can trot around now without the excessive coughing.
