Product is working great. We brought in a kitten from the street and have been struggling to get rid of all the parasites the poor creature was riddled with. I have two of these Door Buddies and they work well. One is to keep the laundry closet door propped open slightly to allow the inside of the washing machine to dry with the door open to prevent odors and mold build up while keeping the cats from exploring behind the machines and chewing on cords. The second Door Buddy I got to allow them to freely go in and out of the bedroom but keep a visiting dog out of their safe area. For the bedroom door, I had to install the Door Buddy a little differently than the "Back of Door – Inside of Door Frame" installation method. I had to stick the strap part upside down on the outside part of the door frame (inside of frame is too small to stick on the Door Buddy strap part) and give the strap a single twist so the hook is in the correct position to put into the latch that is on the back side of the door. See the attached pictures. The strap is adjusted to the longest length and it's just enough to allow the cats to squeeze through the door. A suggestion for the company: Make the strap a little longer and make a product with the strap on the left side of the adhesive part to accommodate odd door frames like mine.KL
We recently got a small poodle mix, close to the same size as our cats and a lot more willing to push and squeeze through a narrow opening. We weren't sure it was going to work at all to let the cats through while keeping the dog at bay, We had to experiment to find juuuuuust the right width. If the door strap wasn't as good as it is at what it does, it wouldn't have worked. Adhesive anchors hold tight, strap is easily adjustable but holds its length without slipping. I bought the small toppls and my two cavaliers love them. I've used it at dinner time with soft foods and some chopped up pieces of prime100 and it kept them busy for a good 7-ish minutes (which is much longer than the few seconds it usually takes them to practically inhale their food). I love that it can be used with kibble as well as a treat dispenser (although you need to buy two different sized ones to do this). Overall very impressed, but I would recommend waiting until they're on sale to buy.smp
These are amazing. We're in the process of diagnosing some GI issues with our 8 month puppy, and she's on a very limited diet and can't have any treats, chews or bones. It's a terrible age to not be able to give anything but prescription food. She can't be trusted with soft toys or rope toys, and has no interest in kongs or other rubber things. These are perfect for keeping her busy. We pack her kibble and some wet food in them and freeze them. They take her a good 30 minutes or more to finish, and she has yet to damage one. Lily, my Pittie rescue, just loves her Zogoflex dog toy, and won't share it AT ALL with her brother or sister, which has caused a little tiff or two in the house, so I'm going to have to break down and buy two more of these for them! But that's okay, because they're a great, fun, engaging dog-treat toy for your dog, to be sure. The way you stuff your chosen treat into them makes it a little bit challenging for your dog, even a champion, intelligent chewer like my 2-year-old pittie, to get to the treat, so it's going to take a while for your doggo to work their way to the prize, trust me! And if you put something soft like peanut butter, all the better! I did try that, since this is dishwasher-safe, and it provided Lily with about an hour of entertaining licking. (Make sure you're up for THAT licking sound in the background!) The only thing I do not like about this toy – and it's minor – is that the rubbery plastic substance on the outside of it is SO STICKY that every single particle of dust or tiny hair on or around your dog will instantly stick to it, it does not matter how clean you think you get it. And NO AMOUNT of washing or rinsing will clean it because the instant you touch a paper towel or regular towel to it, fibers from THAT rub off onto the toy! It's aggravating for ME personally, but it may not bother you! That's the only thing that bothered me; otherwise, Lily had a great time with this; it's very engaging and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design, for sure. Look, I'm going to be honest here, I bought mine off Amazon at a higher price and am salty about it – HOWEVER, this is thing is better than the Kong Classic by an absolute load. Kongs can take a lot of time for dogs to get used to and when they do, they might not get everything out. Not an issue here. It's got raised bits in the middle to add the challenge, freeze your dogs brekkie/dinner for them when you're heading out and need even more challenge, and even with all that, your dog clean this thing out. Weird, grey Kong paste is a thing of the past. Also, The width of these things means that even the most determined of deep-throating dogs won't choke on them. 10/10. Our labs are LOVING their Toppls! Toppls are easy to fill and clean, and nothing gets trapped inside like sometimes happens with Kongs. The “fins” at the bottom hold mini carrots and cookies. We fill them up with leftover veggies or fruit, pumpkin purée, yogurt, or cottage cheese, and top with blueberries or small dog treats. We freeze them to make the treats last a little longer. They also work if you fill them with moistened kibble, but it doesn’t hold a whole meal’s worth. . Honestly, my dog is little (Yorkie) and initially she was afraid of the JW Hol-ee Roller! But that was short-lived. To get her going I found some treats just the right size and stuffed them in the holes. Well you know, anything to do with treats has to be good! That got "the ball rolling"! No pun intended. Now it is one of her favorite toys. It's great because she usually wants me to interact with her with her toys but this one she is content to play with herself. The way it is designed she can basically throw it in the air herself then chase after it. I no longer put treats in it. So far she hasn't been able to chew it up but if that should ever happen I hope they are still on the market because I will have to replace it. They would make great doggie gifts too. We have bought several of these over the years and in various sizes. They are so much fun for the dogs and with a little creativity you can use them for an endless number of games and configurations. They are durable and easily washable and can be played with outside, in the water at the beach or pool, or inside. We like to stuff treats and toys and chews inside. Sometimes we tie a rope and fling it around outside for the dog to chase after. We have tied pieces of fabric to make snuffle balls so the dogs have to work to get their kibble or treats out of it. We have stuffed smaller holee-rollers inside and other toys like tennis balls or stuffed squeaky toys. We bought 2 sizes of this toy – the 5\" and the 8\". Both are great. Our dog is not a heavy chewer, nor a great retriever, but she loves to chase after this toy, catch it and run around with it. Because of the holes, it\'s easy for a dog to pick up. If she does come back to me with it, we play a bit of easy tug with it, though I\'m careful not to hold it too tightly as I read somewhere that someone broke their finger playing with it. I have a 12 month old golden retriever puppy. You have no idea how many toys I have bought that were supposedly durable enough for aggressive chewers that my puppy has destroyed…often within minutes! Even some that were pretty expensive. Her mission in life is pulling toys apart and eating them. This wishbone toy is tough. She likes chewing on it and so far has not damaged it at all. This toy has been through it. I have a 70 pound doodle and he’s a HUGE chewer and likes to play tug. Most toys he destroys. Over a year and still hasn’t broken in half. Still in great condition! I’m surprised this toy lasted so long and he still loves it. Minor cracking on the end where he chews. Will be buying another one. 100% recommend!!Jenny
My Frenchies love this toy. I has been the best Boots & Barkley toy purchase so far. My Vet had recommended chew toys that they can sink their teeth into instead of the hard Nylabones they love. I purchased three Pelosi dog toys. They were a great hit with the pups. They love them. One pup loved his Pelosi toy to pieces. I might have to buy a few more. Seriously though, these dog toys are well made of strong cloth, with a well placed squeaker. The size is large enough for our medium sized Rottweiler, yet small and light enough for our Cairn terrier to retrieve. The Poodle-mix caries hers from room to room……won’t let it out of her sight. The resemblance is incredible 10/10 I was literally dead when I saw these toys, and bought for my parents. Unfortunately, my dog wouldn’t appreciate the elevated humor. Love this dog toy! Gave this to our boy Golden Retriever…he spat it out, the doll rolled on its face, he walked away! Gave it to our girl Golden — she did the same thing and added a grunt as she walked away! Two very discerning Golden Retrievers, I would say… Have gotten quite a few chuckles out of friends over this toy…which is still laying face down on the floor! Every once in awhile one of the cats walks by, gives it a kick, and keeps going… Well worth the investment just in entertainment value! When are you coming out with Chuck Schumer and Adam Schiff dolls! 🙂 By the way, a number of years back, we bought the cats a Bill Clinton doll…they shook the stuffing out of it and threw it against the wall.
