I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. I think the our little dog is training my partner. They are both having lots of fun. She is no longer bored and is so much fitter and happier. I bought this toy for my little french bull dogs first birthday. This ball was amazing at first. First day I used it my frenchie was obsessed however 10 mins in, I notice a piece was already broken off. Customer support was super nice and sent me a new shell with no problem, however when it arrived and I went to use it again, the shell wouldn’t close fully so it wouldn’t work. Like it was always lose fitting and after 10 seconds of playing, the shell was fully open. I got the shell to my apartment at school so by the time I was able to give it to my dog was about a month after I had received it so I never put in another request for a new one as I had no way to prove that it didn’t work since day 1. I’m hoping I was just unlucky as this was an amazing idea for a product that I loved when it did work, I’m just sad I spent so so much money for it to not work on me twice. First of all, making a four star review required to get some bonuses for future purchase is very unfair to the other customers. For me this seems like buying good reviews. Now, the product is not bad, although my cat usually spends the majority of time just following and observing the ball, not playing with it. I think that's because the ball is rather hard, if it would be more soft and fluffy, it might be more fun for the cat to get its nails in it and it would make less noise when banging around the house. I just like the fact that you can fire this thing up, let it go, and the kitten is entertained for the next couple hours – leaving me to do my own thing. It has several "modes", and they might as well call it "Carpet" and "Hardwood" modes. One is super aggressive, and reacts whenever the cat touches it. Cat loves it, but it makes a TON of noise on our hardwood floors that drive me and the wife crazy. The more tame mode, it just auto-rolls and changes directions, pauses, shakes a bit, and then continues to auto roll. This is MUCH more tolerable, and the cat likes to chase/follow it around the room. Only negatives I can say, is it has a penchant for getting stuck on things. It honestly doesn't have a lot of torque, so once momentum carries it over a speaker wire in the edge of the room, or just barely fits under the couch, it gets stuck and can't get enough speed to re-clear the obstacle. I was looking for something that would keep my kitty’s attention off the fact no one was home (she gets really upset ). I looked around at many options, but wanted to find something that would keep her attention, always changed, and kept her active and not sitting in one spot or sleeping. This was the perfect solution! It’s different every time, changing directions, has a time-out mode, so it keeps her guessing, and is fast enough for her to chase after. I use mine on hard floors on the calmest setting, so I can’t attest to how well it does on carpet, but I imagine the more aggressive settings would help it bounce and move more on that. My only complaint is that the ring it travels on is a hard plastic, so when it really gets that momentum going, it BANGS on every baseboard or appliance…nothing gentle or quiet about it. When it’s rolling, it’s quiet, though. Maybe thing of some sort of buffer or softer lining? With new balls, and a new machine, the product is exactly as advertised. After 10 minutes of fetch, the ball is too wet to throw as expected. The ball gets dirty, and the machine does too, creating a muddy internal process. The balls sent with the machine were subpar quality, and lasted about 25 throws a piece before they were starting to come apart. The machine doesn't adjust for ball sizes, so as a tennis ball wears down, the machine can't grab it, and forget about a tennis ball without it's hairy skin, they are too small by far. It's charging good, and working well if I keep putting new tennis balls in it, and run a towel through it, (although that's hard to do.) I suggest a manual adjustment be added to future products, to change the distance between the wheels that grab the ball. I think a tiny tweak on my machine would allow it to through hard rubber balls that wouldn't get nearly as dirty or wet, and keep the machine cleaner. Overall, I think the product is good, but is flawed in design. If there were just a few more capacities to make it work in the field and with different ball sizes, I think it's be a very strong product.Adam T.

I bought this toy for my little french bull dogs first birthday. Seeing it capabilities online I was immediately impressed and intrigued with self play and the balls ability to get out from under areas the dog might have trouble with since my girlfriend is in her studies from home and her work is constantly interrupted from our dog whining about a ball trapped under somewhere. This product seemed to be perfect. I ordered it. Within a week I see cheerble is now advertising a new version of the ball, felt like I missed out on a new improved design but was eager to see what the wicked ball W1 still had to offer. The ball showed up two weeks after and both my pet and I were excited. I got it out of the packaging read the manual and gave it to my French bull dog eager to play. She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. Afterall $120 would get me alot of balls that would last longerSean H.
This ball was amazing at first. First day I used it my frenchie was obsessed however 10 mins in, I notice a piece was already broken off. Customer support was super nice and sent me a new shell with no problem, however when it arrived and I went to use it again, the shell wouldn’t close fully so it wouldn’t work. Like it was always lose fitting and after 10 seconds of playing, the shell was fully open. I got the shell to my apartment at school so by the time I was able to give it to my dog was about a month after I had received it so I never put in another request for a new one as I had no way to prove that it didn’t work since day 1. I’m hoping I was just unlucky as this was an amazing idea for a product that I loved when it did work, I’m just sad I spent so so much money for it to not work on me twice. I have two of these balls, one in each size. For my 60 lbs. pit bulls I would recommend the larger, unless you're using a high reward treat (like jerky as opposed to kibble). I serve at least some of my dog's meals in a ball and he chases it around for quite a while. The only downside is it is pretty noisy on the hardwood floors or tile. Also be sure nothing too fragile might get in the way. He accidentally broke a vase that he ran into while chasing the ball across the living room. It's probably my dog's favorite solo activity. Our Chihauhua gets bored when we're gone during the day, and when he gets bored, he eats carpet. We had a few food toys, and they worked great, but he was getting bored with them and he had figured out all of them, so we purchased two more to help keep him busy. We purchased the medium IQ ball, and he LOVES it. We have carpeting, and the first day we played with it with him when we were home and he caught on very quickly. We have to put his dog food, and small treats in there for him. If we place just the regular food, he isn't interested. We crumble up a few treats, and he loves to roll the ball and "gamble" to get a yummy treat. When we go to leave the house he just sits and waits for us to put this toy down, and he is playing with it before we even close the door. Our chihuahua had figured out his old toys, so we purchased this one because we thought it was a puzzle inside which can be made harder. The opening can be set to harder or easier, but there isn't a puzzle inside like the other toy we purchased.There are two holes for the food to travel through. The first hole is settable in size, and brings the food into that clear colored area where they have to then push it out a second, non-size changeable hole. That said, he still loved it and since the first hole can be made smaller, it's still challenging enough for him. It's working great and we aren't even on the hardest setting yet after two months. Our Chihuahua is 10lbs lean, so it's great for a dog his size. I would have given this product a 5 star if I had known there wasn't a puzzle when I purchased it. This is such a good toy for pets to be entertained with, especially since you can adjust how hard you want to make it for your pet! I got it for my pet mini pig so he had something to do and he loves it! Also my two dogs love to roll it around with my pig for hours. I've been putting Cheerios in it which works pretty well except I put it on the hard level and the Cheerios are still somewhat easy to still get out but once I change the level to the hardest there is absolutely no way for them to get through. So wishers was more of a between level for it but either way it's doing its purpose and keeping my pets entertained.
