Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. Hello, my dog does like this; loves it in fact and gets all excited when I get it ready for her before going to work. It is sturdy, well made. The rubber underneath means it grips on a lino floor which is a really good design feature. I do think it's a little pricey – 10 would be reasonable in my view. However for me the problem is it's too easy for my dog. When I first got it, I filled it with treats and gave it to my dog before sitting down to read the instructions. I hadn't even reached the bit that said to' start off with only one hidden treat, and let your dog see it before covering it up' , before my dog had already uncovered and worked out every single hiding place. Took about a minute. Not really what I was intending when I bought it as a way for her to stay entertained when I go out to work. Had to write as this toy has been a life changer for our active terrier who is nearly blind and has severe allergies. Most chew toys are a problem for her allergies and most plush/retrieve toys she cannot find or hear. I bought these for my two babies, one of which loves to chew and the other loves to watch things bounce around erratically. This toy is perfect for both! The material is great for chewing and the shape allows for a unique bounce pattern with every toss, creating an uncertainty of which way it'll go that leaves the dogs guessing at where to pounce next. My only complaint is how easily the material allows tooth marks to break the surface. After only an hour of chewing, my boy had managed to put a bunch of holes into it and I can see this being a potential issue as he continues. The little rubber pieces that lift up from where his tooth went into are perfect for him to try and bite off and could be swallowed easily. This is definitely a toy to only be used while supervised.courtney.e

I recommend the large one regardless of dogs size. I have a 12 lbs shorkie and I still bought the large you just have to make sure to still feed for the appropriate size of the dog. At first she was very scared to play with it and did not understand that she needed to spin the green portion not just the blue. When I increased the value of the treats (replaces some kibble with Cheerios and small piece of dog treats) and put little drops of Kong PB at the opening to guide her nose it started clicking for her. She now loves to play with it and it takes her some time to get all the food out so she’s entertained for a good while 🙂 I gave it 4 stars because the pieces around the opening are intended to help slow down the treats and kibble but when they’re down to the last bit those piece make it almost impossible for her to get the food out.Sandra SE
If you don't fill it with treats, it's harder for the treats to fall out. Which is the point but my dog got discouraged cause nothing would come out. Either had to roll is hard or shake it around. The middle green part rolls by itself, so if your dogs pushes it around with the holl up nothing will come out. Had the toy for a week and she decided it was to hard and popped the hole part out. Now big square to dispense treats. Still works. Still takes her a few minutes to get the treat out. The rolling function of the toy was the weird part.Shelby the Rotti
I am using this as part of a daily enrichment but like some other products if it doesn’t come out easily my dog gets lazy and gives up.
